I also go there to buy special wines or lavish chocolates to gift cherished friends for memorable occasions. Not looking for a special wine? ... no worries, I never have to look far to find a quality table wine to pair with every day meals at every day prices. Charcuterie supplies abound! Miss Mary selects the choicest morsels to complement my smorgasbord too.Generally I know what I like- *BUT* sometimes I like to try new things and rely on Marys encyclopedic knowledge to guide me in my exploration, she has never let me down. I dont have enough kind words for the WINE & WORDS shopping experience. CHEERS!

Great small business and we need to keep supporting in these trying times. If it werent for the street construction and corona all the local businesses would probably be flourishing. Fantastic store! Wines from around the world (none you can buy in a grocery store!), usually priced between $12 to $25 each. James is extremely knowledgeable and can help you find anything youre looking for. The wine tasting on Fridays and Saturdays are an excellent way to sample new wines that you might fall in love with!!! I recommend this store to everyone!! You can park and enter in the back if the street is full out front.

Excellent source of nicely-priced wines and local food items. James the Wine Guy is THE guy for wine. We travel to Washington from Charlotte on a regular basis just to stock up on wine and seek words of wine wisdom from James.
