My boyfriend and I were excited but this place was such a disappointment. He gagged when he tried to Mac and cheese and the polenta fries were just fried sticks of nothing. The Brussels were 5/10 and the chicken wings were 3/10. The customer service was nonexistent and we shared that the Mac and cheese and fries were not edible and nothing was done except a shrug of the shoulders. Don’t waste your time. Go to busboys and poets or give another spot a shot in the area. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Best burger in DC. Seriously. The fries are shoe lace style and crispLove the cowvin. Honestly, if they didnt say, you wouldnt know everything is plant based!
We love fare well SO much! Live about an hour away and tend to come here weekly or bi-weekly, one of the best vegan options in DC hands down! Our personal favorites are the chilaquiles, pastrami sandwich, the chickpea seitan wings with Buffalo sauce and their fries with ranch!! They also have excellent sweets like the tiramisu and the cookies! 🤤
I was so excited to try this place because I heard amazing things and the reviews were great. It’s so awesome to find vegan spots especially with such high reviews! To be honest, I was really disappointed with basically everything we ordered. The southern wings were decent. I hadn’t tried the mambo sauce and have been craving “wings” for a long time! Overall they were pretty good. I wish they were a little more crispy but that’s ok. Next the fries; as you can see in the picture, they’re basically wet potato strings. There was practically 0 seasoning and they felt like they weren’t cooked at all. The cookie dough cake was actually pretty good - it wasn’t very sweet which was surprisingly good. The burger was… disappointing. I LOVE beyond meat but this was bland and not good at all. Next was the Reuben - I absolutely love reuben sandwiches. This would have been awesome if there wasn’t horseradish or the spicy mustard? I’m not sure which but it completely ruined the sandwich for me. I could barely finish one half. We haven’t tried the challah yet so I really hope it’s decent. Maybe we got all of the wrong things but I was pretty bummed after stopping by. Especially with the hefty price tags.
Ive been to a lot of vegan restaurants and tried to be optimistic as this was my first DC vegan-inclusive restaurant. Ive gotta say I was disappointed with the Benedict Florentine. The Hollandaise sauce tasted like mustard and was not good. The tofu egg for the Benedict was quite gross, it tasted bland and I did not enjoy it. My best friend ordered the Mac and cheese because you can never go wrong with vegan Mac. But he couldnt eat it because the cheese tasted gross. He tried reheating it once we got home and it somehow tasted even worse after being reheated
Nice aesthetic and good tasting food. Unfortunately even though you go in person they make you order through an app which takes about four attempts to actually process a payment. The food is also quite overpriced even for vegan fare. On the bright side they do not skimp on the bourbon in the boozy milkshakes.
Great place to explore a more plant-based diet. Plentiful vegan options especially for the formally carnivore eaters. The buffalo wings were amazingly good. Definitely plan to go home with their glazed donuts.
If you dont have have a reservation, you have to sit outside and its really cool shaded section of tables. There are only five tables.I ordered the vegetables on the menu. I had Swiss chard, Kung pow brussel sprouts which were amazing, sauteed mushrooms, and their version of tuna salad. The veggies and mushrooms were wonderful. The toona was just okay.My companion had the plain pancakes and the tofu scramble. He said they were both really good. Now for the downside. This is not a healthy place to eat unless you stick to the greens on the menu. When you order coffee your choices for creamers are all sugar-laden. Your options for sweeteners are only sugar and agave- no honey. Most of the items on the menu are bread and processed meat. The service is extremely mediocre. Serving time is rather slow in spite of not being very crowded at all.Overall this place was okay. I will definitely go back for the brussel sprouts!
Try their seasonal ginger coconut curry while its available. Staff fully embodies customer service and the wall art makes you want to dine. I had takeout but will definitely return. Bravo, Team Fare Well!
100% vegan diner in DC serving 100% delicious food. The weekend brunch is amazing. I would highly recommend starting with a boozy shake or an egg cream. Booth seating and fun plate wall decor help with the diner vibe, and the menu features fun spins on your favorite diner fare. If I lived closer, Id be there every weekend!
We were first time customers from out of town and decided to try this place since they serve breakfast items throughout the day similar to a diner. We always have a hard time finding vegan pancakes and were excited to try them. The pancakes were good but not exceptional. I thought they would be whole wheat since that is healthier than white flour. The staff was very nice and accommodated us by allowing us to substitute the fennel sausage that usually comes with the order with the Impossible sausage. I thought we were going to get 2 pieces but only got one. The mac and cheese was good. Overall, it was ok but we were a little taken aback to find out you had to pay for your order before getting your order even though we were dining in, and it was not take-out. In addition, they automatically include a 20 percent tip which they charge you for upfront before you can even get your food and taste it. That seems a little desperate to me and not very respectful of the customers rights. Most decent restaurants trust that their food and service is of such high quality that there is no need to include the tip in the bill (unless its a large party) or make you pay first as you will have no problem following standard protocol if the service is good. This kind of prevents them from feeling obligated to provide exceptional service if everything is pre-paid! Nice people but not sure if we will visit there again.
Amazing food, both sweet and savory! One of my favorite restaurants in the District. Never had a bad dish
Great place All Vegan Foods. They made everything from scratch amd made to order. Bakery is so delicious! They have a fritter that comes with Peanut Butter Drizzle and Temper Bacon.
Excellent service and great alternative for dietary needs with a cozy environment and friendly staff. Everything wad excellent.
Food was really good and the prices werent bad either. Nice staff and I appreciate the in store touch free ordering options
The food was amazing but the pastries were insanely good. Go hungry. You will want everything on the menu!
Delicious, very satisfying food. Had the coconut curry. Pierogis are fire too. Coffee was good. Very nice urban vibe would go back for more
Vegan food done absolutely perfectly and deliciously! A nice variety of items on the menu to please anyone from comfort food two more adventurous. Absolutely amazing desserts, which is not surprising since this is owned by the same person who owns Sticky Fingers Bakery. There is also a bar and amazing milkshakes are available with a boozy twist. Breakfast items are available all day. After several visits here the food has been consistently perfect and the staff is always friendly and the food is delivered promptly. I am always looking forward to the next visit here!
On a WFPB diet it’s important to carry snacks and small lunches with you when out and about and unfortunately I didn’t do so yesterday so the first time I ate at a Vegan restaurant. The setting was cute, people were nice, but not chick fil-a nice, but nice, nevertheless. Since I was a first timer, I didn’t know what to get so I just went with the Impossible Burger to-go. When I got to my car, I was surprised to see it didn’t come with any sides, not even slices of fruit. I spent $23 with a service fee included, plus left a tip when I literally ordered from a kiosk and swiped my own card. I really, really, hope not all “Vegan” restaurants are this way. The only reason I’m giving it a 4/5 was because the burger was 6/10 for a veggie burger.
No mention of proof of vaccination required anywhere on the website it allows you to reserve a table with still no mention of vaccination to dine in then boom you show up and then they tell you proof of vaccination is required to dine in. Then they bait you into ordering online. Stupid system be transparent from the onset.
Oh em gee!!!!! SO GOOD. I was baffled that food in general could be this delicious. Forget the fact that it’s vegan, it’s just dang good food. I was also really missing being able to order French toast and pancakes when out at brunch with friends - but coming here you can order allll the breakfast classics but VEGAN! Also- the gravy and potatoes were so good!!!
This used to be one of my top spots in DC when I lived there 3 years ago. Went back to visit with friends this week and was underwhelmed. We waited some time for a fresh pot of coffee that was served to us with grinds. The mandatory 20% tip rubbed us the wrong way. I typically do tip 20% or above, but being forced to is not attractive.I understand the reasoning due to the lengthy response on another review; however, I feel the restaurant is shifting the responsibility of adequately paying their employees onto their patrons by forcing a certain tip percentage. Not a sign of a thriving business. Ill likely stop back to grab a Cowvin, but thats about it.
My first impression of this place is I am in love! As I walked into this cozy diner I noticed the beautiful spinning cake display in the front. Every cake looked so delicious. I asked if they have anything vegan and she proceeded with “everything is vegan”! Gasp, I was so happy because when I saw the rotational cake display, I wished it was vegan so bad and the vegan Gods granted my wish! This place is cute and the owner was very nice as well as my server, roger.I was going to go to another place but when I stumbled upon this place it was a must! It is very welcoming and they also serve alcohol. I ordered the romaine Cesar, the vegan Mac and the avocado tacos. Ya I went all out but it was so worth it. I was traveling for business and everything was pretty reasonably priced. I also got the pecan cookie, it was amazing. This place was delicious and had so many options for anyone. I want to go back and try the cheeseball on the menu! This place is in a very cute neighborhood, I will be back the next time I am in DC. :)
The staff members were really helpful and friendly, and the food was delicious.
Wow!!! The Benedict Florentine blew my socks off. One of the tastiest things Ive ever had in my life!
Fare Well is big on vegan fare, replicating common diner fare with vegan substitutes. The menu is heavily built on breads, seitan, and soy products. Im personally not a big fan of the substitutes. Id rather just eat veggies, but if you dont eat animal products but somehow miss them, maybe this is for you. Shakshuka is decent though I coulda asked for another piece of bread to wipe up all the sauce 😋
Each time I visit DC, I try to visit a new to me vegan place along with my old fave, NuVegan. Fare Well was suggested to me.To take in what the city has to offer, I walked from my hotel to the restaurant- a 35 minutes walk.Positive: This diner is really nice-cute.Neutral: If you’re doing take out, you order from a machine. No one takes your order. If you inquire about a take out, you’re directed to the machine.Negative: If you walk in & the person who is at the front is seating someone & you go to the counter, no one inquires if you need help. I actually had to tell a customer that she needed to use the machine because, although she was standing there, no one assisted her.So, I cannot eat certain potatoes. I asked for more vegetables instead. But they make no substitution AT ALL!!! So, it wasn’t worth my money to buy the meal and not being able to eat the potatoes.I inquired about the soup of the day to the hostess. She went to find out after appearing annoyed with me for asking if I could substitute the potatoes. After a few minutes, she didn’t come back. I saw her tending to her hostess duties. Mind you, I’m still waiting at the machine to place my order, which I believe they only had one. I proceeded to ask another person behind the counter about the soup. What do I get? “Didn’t she already tell you?” I should have walked out of the restaurant with that tone / response. I ended up getting the soup and a piece of cake. The cake was delicious & enough for two. The soup was good and filling. Will I return? Maybe I’ll give them another try. If I do, maybe next time I will be appreciated as a customer, especially a first time customer (re-do).Companies need to remember, they need customers, customers don’t need them. As customers, we have choices. My goal is to give a truthful feedback regarding my experiences. The feedback is there to assist potential customers who visit various establishments. But, the reviews are also for companies to make improvements. I like to support small businesses. Fare Well, you have a great business. So, please improve your customer experience. Maybe then you can get 5 stars.
I was wowed, a friend and I split the impossible hot cakes, a croissant, mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, and tiramisu. This was the best food I’ve had since going vegan as I haven’t been eating out much due to the pandemic. The croissant was perfectly flaky and the mac and cheese was so flavorful and creamy. Next time I’m in DC I’ll be returning to try more bakery items. Only less than positive thing I have to say is that the sweet potato fries were nothing special, and the ketchup I ordered with it was left out, but they were still good.
Stopped in for a quick brunch on a Sunday morning and what a find this was. Staff were super friendly and service efficient. Everything is vegan and actually tasted amazing! I had the carrot cake pancakes which were light and fluffy with a cream cheese sauce. Delightful. Just need some Earl Grey and would be ideal ;) Highly recommend.
A vegan and a non-vegan walk into a vegan restaurant and order a ridiculous amount of food for 2 people. The burrata and polenta fries are some of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth. The buffalo cauliflower dip and french toast sticks were both very tasty. Picking which cakes to take home was difficult because everything looks so good! Fare Well has flavorful, creative, and most importantly, delicious food. I love when restaurants are inventive with their plant-based menus.
Came for dinner while I was in DC. I had the Barbeque Seitan Sandwich which taster just like it proclaimed to replicate, a fried chicken sandwich. I was able to get a table for my partner and i right after we entered the restaurant. I would recommend reservations if you have a large group or are planning on visiting at a busy time. Happy hour 4-7 with $5 beer and wine. Had a great time. Make sure to check out their vegan deserts and baked goods.
The food was good, whatever we got from our order of course. One of the items from our order was clearly forgotten and it seemed as our server forgot about us multiple times. I ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough pancake and received a carrot cake. I just didnt want to add on to the complains we already had - with the latte order being taken late and our eggs missing. I think the last straw was handing the iPad over with a tip that was put in by the server himself. We wouldnt have tipped you any less, but to input your own tip and just ask someone to insert their card? We noticed that the tip was added prior to the swipe by the server, all he did was ask to sign. Thats not cool man.The food undoubtedly was great, thats where they earned a positive rating from us.
Great food! Hard to believe everything on the menu is vegan, it tastes so good! Staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is great. Make sure you arrive early if going for brunch! The cafe itself opens at 9 for bakery items and coffee and the kitchen starts at 10. We arrived at 9 and had coffee and pastries until 10. So glad we did! Shortly after the cafe opened there was a line out the door! The food and drinks were well worth the wait! Highly recommend.
Amazing vegan fare. Delicious sandwiches, sides, salads, and breakfast options. Variety and flavors that make everyone in the family happy with lots of choices for the conscientious eater.
The croissant sandwich was pretty good and I was satisfied with it. My partner was satisfied with the benedict. The almond croissant was not what I expected at all and I would never get it again. The almond paste filling was overwhelming. The main reason for going here was for espresso drinks and they were awful. The person who made them had no clue the difference between a cappuccino and latte and we ended up tossing them out. They had no foam, no froth, and the proportions were wrong. Just stick to drip coffee.
Amazing! I went for the Impossible burger and the meal had a choice of soup, fries or salad. I got the soup and omgggg it blew me away! Soooooo tasty! Beautiful space and the bartender was friendly and funny! I also love the fact it has booze, as a lot of vegan places seem to think that if you are vegetarians or vegan you are therefore devoid of any desire to drink or have fun! Go here!!!
Mostly amazing. Impossible Burger was done very good (though no option on how to make it). The Buratta was insanely good- how they were able to make it look and taste like dairy cheese is magic. I was daring and got the Pierogi as well- also great. Also got the mushroom scampi pasta, which was great, but it lacked flavor to put it in the top foods in this adventure. The desert was great. Tried the fluffernutter bar was was fabulous, the cookie dough cake which was very sweet, and the seasonal crisp (highly recommend extra scoop of ice cream).
It was tasty. The service was good too.
Exceptional foodSeitan Platter, Fennel Sausage, Burrata, and the Shepherds Pie (St. Patrick special), Evo IPA and Red wine were all exceptional. Definitely my favorite Washington City spot. Its clear that the staff put extra effort into every aspect of the food and service (by Mike K).The table next to us came twice on the same day.Ill be back!
Amazing spot for vegan dessert and/or drinks at the front bar after dinner. They have a massive selection of vegan cakes and cookies and serve it all with vegan ice cream. Recommend sharing a slice of cake because the slices are huge! Bartenders are super friendly and they play amazing music at night, way more fun than your typical dessert spot.
Came here with a non-vegan coworker, who enjoyed the food. Its nice to find some vegan diner food! The pancakes are good :) the mac and cheese is ok (not best Ive ever had, but still good) the chilaquiles were good. It wasnt as great as I hoped, but good overall. The cakes all look so amazing that Im traveling with a slice.
If oodles of vegan cake wasn’t enough of a reason to go somewhere, then there is the great food, fun and engaged service, large choice of starters and mains. All enjoyed with a wide range of vegan drinks, hot, cold and stuff that might make you forget you went.I especially recommend the Ginger Lemon Cake, which are 3 little words we can all be happy to say.
Great attentive service and the best vegan mac & cheese I’ve ever had.
Firstly, the ambience is cozy and the decor is just enough for the eyes to appreciate. Their Burrata stands up to the hype. The Pierogi was disappointing though. The Mexicali Burger is savory and spicy. The cakes didnt taste fresh and gave an impression of being too Frozen and hard. All in all, its a heaven for the Vegans so definitely a must try.
This is the best vegan diner Ive ever been to, hands down. The food is absolutely amazing - from the seitan & waffles to the baked goods. I am just so happy this place exists! A must-visit for any vegans in the D.C. area.
They have the best vegan breakfast in DC! We make it a priority to come here every time we are in town!
I went for brunch and had a great meal! The French toast sticks and polenta fries are to die for! I got the chicken and waffles as my main and wasn’t so impressed (but I have had many different vegan chicken and waffles prior) but it was still delicious. Very strong flavor of poultry seasoning I think they could’ve added a bit more spice and variety but still great to have the option of vegan chicken and waffles. I definitely will be coming back and trying the rest of the menu!
SO excited to have found this gem. Billy behind the bar really knows his stuff, he recommended a delicious cocktail and a side of Mac and Cheese to start. Best vegan Mac and cheese ever! So creamy and delicious-not at all stodgy. The chickpea steak was something special. It tastes so much like fried chicken and is such a comforting meal. Thanks for making awesome vegan food Fare Well!
Very nice friendly staff. Awesome food!!!
Cute decor and the food was really good. The server was super nice and our food was delicious. Loved going to a place that served brunch for vegans but was also gluten free. I do wish there were more gluten free options though.. I do love pancakes and french toast for breakfast too and its simple to make. We had the tofu scramble and polenta fries and they were super delicious
*COVID REVIEW*Delicious vegan noshes! The chickpea fritter wings are incredible. In the springtime they have the most succulent cherry blossom cake. Their signature is breakfast/brunch food which is fantastic-o.
Really excellent. As good as vegan brunch gets. The hollandaise on the Benedict Florentine (iirc) is outstanding, as well as the potatoes that come with it. The sausage egg and cheese croissant is also really delicious. Their tofu egg is deliciously savory and tender.
The restaurant has potential, but our experience was not great and definitely not in line with the prices. We had a reservation but had to wait quite a while to be seated. No big deal, although we had to ask multiple times for water while we waited. One waiter was very friendly and apologetic about the wait, but the other seemed to be in a bad mood. (Cant blame them, they were trying a new POS system that was having some issues, but it was still awkward.) Service was generally slow, again due to the glitchy POS.In general, the food was good, but not great. I say this as a vegetarian who is very familiar with cooking high quality vegan food. In general, the flavours were fine, but little details were lacking in texture or presentation that were a little frustrating. For me, the best part was the house-made burger bun. The poutine fries were a bit soggy, though the gravy was nice and the cheese was better than expected. The mac n cheese had a nice sauce texture but tasted a bit too much like carrots. The cake, which was $9 for a very thin slice (our favourite vegan bakery charges $6~7 for a slice about twice the size) tasted nice but was EXTREMELY dry. I respectfully mentioned this on my way out, and the owner (?) offered a croissant to go, which I certainly appreciated, but when I tried it I found it really underwhelming (chewy, tasted kind of like crisco). In the end, we spent $60 for two people, not including beverages or tip. Personally, I felt the quality of food, the back patio atmosphere, and the service would have been appropriate at the $40 price point. I worry that in its current form, the restaurant will attract more non-vegans looking for novelty than vegan customers who want to return. There is a lot of potential, though, with the location, decor, and concept. I would be willing to try it again if they made some changes.
Long wait for outdoor tables nowadays due to COVID. I always get the wings and chilaquiles and they never disappoint!
We found this place yesterday with a quick Google search for vegan food near me.I have been vegan for 5 years, so as always I was very excited to try out an all vegan restaurant!!This place did not disappoint. The food was phenomenal !!!My boyfriend and I got the wings with mumbo sauce, the pierogies, the chickpea steak, and the cookie dough cake. Its hard to choose a favorite dish because the wings were SOOO damn good as were the pierogies and the chickpea steak. The entrees were expertly designed; each flavor of the dish complemented one another very well. The food was expensive but for a special treat and experience the price was well worth it (plus the portion sizes were more than fair!)The negatives? ...The recommended cookie dough cake was rather dry/hard and had a bland flavor overall, in short the vegan cake wasnt better than any vegan cake I couldve made at home. The seating was practically nonexistent, which was troubling at first. Luckily we were able to eat our dinner sitting on the tailgate of my boyfriends truck; we dined while all the traffic drove by.Great experience!
Had the pancakes and eggs florentine. So good!! Portions were huge and presentation was beautiful even with it being to go. Cant wait to come back to DC to try some of the lunch items.
It was okay. Outdoor seating is 😕
The Polenta Fries were actually really good. This was my first time trying them. 😚
There are a lot of tasty choices here. Many items on the menu are gluten free or can be made gluten free. The menu uses the term wheat free marked as wf and wheat free option marked as wfo. We ordered the mexicali burger (not gluten free), Reuben with side salad and smores shake, breakfast tacos, mac and cheese, and gluten free chocolate cupcake. The chocolate cupcake is moist and tasty. It comes with chocolate frosting which has that just right amount of sweetness. The mac and cheese uses a wheat free fusilli noodle which holds the vegan cheese well. The cheese has a great taste which can be hard when non dairy. The breakfast taco uses tofu scramble in place of eggs. On top is a spicy avocado sauce. Really delicious. The smore shake has chocolate coating the side of the glass and a giant marshmallow on top and in the center. Check out the pictures. Our server was pleasant and attentive.
3 of us ordered there and only one was unsatisfied with their burger. we got wings and fries they were so good also the vegan sauces are good too
I ordered the vegan wigs ; half BBQ and half buffalo. The buffalo wing were great but the BBQ wigs werent as tasty. The ranch dressing was creamy and garlicy. The fríes were, okay. The show stopped was The crispy treat ice cream sandwich. It was amazing and worthy The 30 minutos driven. I gave it 3 stars because the food, overall, wasnt anything to write home about and the meals were expensive. If youre in the area, definitely stop by for a sweet treat.
Had chocolate chip cookies 😋. They were so good. Wish I had 3 instead of 2.
This was the first restaurant my wife and I went to since the pandemic started, and it was a blessing; Im upset I didnt know about this place before, the food was so amazing. The pastrami on rye is exactly what I had hoped it would be, and the lemon thyme cheesecake was so freaking good, so good, it made me angry cuz I know all other cheesecakes have been ruined for me.
Went here for some desserts around 3pm on Saturday, the oatmeal cookies were good, and so was the s’mores shake but it was $10 and in the size of a small coffee cup... I’ve never had a milkshake (vegan or not) in that size before. To make things worse, they gave us an EXTREMELY STALE “Raspberry Rose Kouign Amann”. Undeniably stale, it was actually hard to eat and it’s quite shocking they would serve that to customers.I love trying new vegan spots, but in this case we were sorely disappointed... would not recommend.
I was visiting DC with friends and a friend suggested we visit this restaurant. Initially, I was a little apprehensive because I am a die-hard carnivore and I didnt think that this vegan food would it be flavorful. Boy was I wrong this food was delicious and I will definitely return next time Im in DC.
Amazing vegan wings! Made from chickpeas, great firm texture and tasty sauces. Buffalo, barbecue, and mumbo (sweet DC sauce). Can mix and match flavors when you order.
This is a consistant go to breakfast spot for us! Its breakfast all day which is an added perk because their breakfast menu is amazing. The carrot cake pancakes, benedict florentine and french toast are definitely worth trying! Try to get there early on weekends since there is always a long line!
This is one of few exclusively vegan restaurants in the area. I’ve been wanting to come by for a while and was pleasantly surprised to see the impossible burger on the menu, as you can only get these at select vegan restaurants across the US. The staff were really pleasant and friendly. The food was good also, although I wish there were more menu options. Most of all, I wish there were more creative menu options, things that I couldn’t make at home at a far lesser cost. For me, that would give the food more value.
Fare Well was absolutely wonderful! We went on a Sunday for brunch. Our waiter was Mike, and even though it clearly got busy and their was a wait we never once felt rushed! Mike was very helpful in the menu choices and very accommodating and attentive! We are no longer used to driving in the DC area, so parking was a bit of an issue, but we did end up finding free street parking only a block away! The Polenta Fries are amazing! The two sauces that come with them are very different and we couldn’t even pick one over the other because they each had such distinct flavors!Vegan or not, this restaurant is a must try! My sister who is not vegan and somewhat skeptical of vegan food loved all of it!
Visitor here from NJ, really good good will visit when back in there area
A rare positive DC experience for veggies and vegans. This place has creative entrees and sides (try the polenta fries) with outstanding desserts. It’s fairly small inside so arrive early for brunch. Shakes are amazing. Vanilla has just a hint of coconut. Cookie dough shake is to die for!
I enjoy the breakfast options here! My favorite is the florentine benedict. We love an all vegan restaurant. 😍
Amazing food, hip location. Everything vegan and delicious!
Absolutely amazing food! Thankful that everything is vegan!
This is my favorite restaurant in DC. I brought my non-vegan boyfriend and he LOVED the food, it’s for vegans and all diet types alike. The service was fast and their covid precautions are some of the best I’ve seen, to protect the customers AND the staff, which is more important than ever right now. 10/10 would recommend and I’ll definitely come back.
I stopped by here on my way to the Mall. It piqued my interest even though I am not vegan, but as I am lactose intolerance, its hard to find breakfast and baked goods without milk. I had the morning special of pancakes and scrambled tofu with a soy milk cappuccino. The pancakes were good, though dont expect them to have the same texture as regular pancakes. The tofu scramble was great, seasoned with a mild curry-like flavor. There was real syrup on the table too. And the service was nice and polite.
Fare Well is THE BEST vegan restaurant available and one of the top 10 restaurants/bakeries overall that we have tried in the DC area by far! Well worth the drive if youre vegan, dreaming of visiting a restaurant with a complete, well-rounded vegan-centric menu, and wondering if a 40-minute drive or so is worth it. Thank you, Fare Well, for the CULINARY JOY! HOORAY!
Great vegan breakfast. The blueberry pancakes were delicious.
Loved it.Wife surprised me with this treat. All vegan. Full bar. Desserts by Sticky Fingers.I had the Reuben. No regrets.
