It was my first time here for the announcement of all of the Miss Adams Morgan candidates. Its a fun place and all of the associates and bartenders are very friendly.

Been a couple times during our week visit. Dinner, appetizers another time and even brunch one day all were cooked to perfection. their food is picture perfect they taste great. The staff is cute and fun and the place to self has a great atmosphere.

For years, Duplex was my absolute favorite spot to watch Drag Race every week. The staff is incredible, the food is delicious, and the drinks are strong. When I moved to Baltimore, I missed it terribly!I was lucky enough to have a chance to eat outside at Duplex recently. Not only did I feel like I had just come back home, but they are doing an absolutely amazing job with COVID safety. Everyone was masked at all times, our temperatures were taken before we ordered - it was SO nice to be able to feel so safe at one of my all time favorite places.

Service has been excellent, and safe (particularly relevant in the current time). Cant go wrong with having brunch or dinner here. Meatloaf is tasty and you can indulge your inner child with tater tots cooked to perfection.

Great staff and food is amazing

Went in for breakfast with my partner and I Was told would have to eat fast because there was a party of ten coming. We were fine with that. We sat outside and I took my mask down to drink water the waiter came out and told us our mask had to stay on at all time unless we eat or drank we agreed until we turned around and saw two white customers with no mask food or drinks. Nothing was said to them. The food was great but it was clear they did not want us there. Asking blacks to wear a mask and not whites is in just.

The bar/restaurant atmosphere and staff itself are fine. The food, pretty bad and has been bad every time I have eaten there. Squeezes are good though.

We go every week. It’s a diner, strong drinks, friendly service. You just can’t go wrong! (Oh also: get the Meatloaf. You won’t regret it!!)

Nice ambience, great drinks

I had a good experience here! My friend and I were quickly seated, our orders taken promptly and food was out before we knew it. Service is definitely 5 stars. As for the general atmosphere and food, it was average. Probably will not come back just because it really wasnt anything special that I couldnt find anywhere else.

Placed an order for delivery... Received half of the order. Call the restaurant, spoke to the FOH employee. She was very accommodating, mentioning the manager was not on site. When the manager did return she called and I was surprised to find out it was the GM. The GM was rude and not as accommodating as the employee. When I asked the GM to repeat her name she told me not to worry about it. I work in a restaurant and we make sure that our customers are 100% satisfied. My managers will personally deliver if there are mistakes that THE RESTAURANT has made. If you want this type of a person to run your business your business will not last. Needless to say, I will NOT be ordering from this establishment again!!!

A personal brunch classic spot for us. Ryan is the best server in the world and the bottomless mimosas is ridiculous. $20 for a PITCHER ?! You can always sign me up for that! There’s always a cool movie on the TV too and who doesn’t want Madonna plastered all over the bathroom walls?! Seriously, do I need to say more?

Had the pleasure of discovering this place, 3 blocks from my flat, 14 months after moving in. I will be an assured regular. Went for brunch on a Saturday, about two weeks back. I ordered the Southwestern Benedict (which I don’t see on menu, hopefully still there) my partner ordered the Traditional Benedict and a side of Biscuits & Gravy, we both had iced coffee. Everything was perfect. The service was outstanding, never wanted for anything, timely in their checkbacks, aware of the atmosphere at the table (this is a skill). Loved every minute!

Sandwich or entree, every dish here is amazing. Drinks are great, as is the atmosphere. Ive been here well over a dozen times already and still working my way through the menu. Love hanging out here with my friends.

I went here for brunch and its great for all the great staples of brunch. Its fast, friendly, and great service and the food is fairly priced. Ive also ordered dinner to go here too and its equally great. Glad to have Duplex in the neighborhood.

Duplex is definitely a place I will be visiting again next time I am back in DC. I had been craving a nice, diner style breakfast for awhile and this place fulfilled that without a doubt. Wonderfully tasing food, attentive staff but not overwhelming, and a great vibe. Can’t wait to come back especially for the grits !

Great spot! I went to an early dinner and I was impressed with these guys. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. The atmosphere is so warm, inviting and casual. I was in no hurry to leave. I will very likely return.

There are many sides to Duplex Diner but Ill assume anyone reading this review is interested in the food. Duplexs Menu is more comprehensive than a standard bar menu and everything Ive had has been great. Im a big fan of their half-price M Mondays (I get the Mac & Cheese, decadent!) and half-price Burger Tuesdays. The burgers are big so come hungry!

The staff here is super friendly. My friends and I werent even customers, we were at the restaurant next door, and one of their customers (very drunk) was bothering us. A lady working there offered us free drinks and dessert for our troubles.

An institution in North Dupont/Adams Morgan for two decades, and easy to see why. Friendly and quick service, great standard brunch fare, reasonable prices. Cant go wrong here.

Good food. Fabulous service. Our waitress made us feel like she was glad we were there and I also felt like she was happy to be there. I weigh my food portions and often make special requests. I felt totally welcome and accommodated all my requests. We got some great travel tips that Im sure we will put good use.

Big diner concept with a neaveux feel. Basic food quality, appropriate portion sizes and pretty good service overall. Pricing matches the surrounding area s demand but not the quality so much.

Love the staff...cool vibe. Kinda gives me the friendly neighborhood gay bar vibe with sports bar influence. In the heart of the U Street Cooridor, its a great place to catch a game. Food is tasty and they have a great weekend brunch + bloody mary bar if you drink. Can get very busy though.

Its a fun place to hang out with your friends! The bartenders are phenomenal, the drinks and food are great (and good for sharing), and overall its a fun place to stand or sit by the window and wave down other friends walking on the street to say hello!

Great bar, less good food... I went with some friends for Valentines Day 2014 and had a great time. Duplex hosted a fundraiser and it was a great way to celebrate the holiday, especially since my SO was out of town.

In a sea full of gay bars and nightclubs, this place stands out as an alternative - the perfect spot to grab a bite before (or after) a night out in DC. Food is good, people are better, and the staff makes you feel welcome in their space whether youre coming alone or with a group. As a visitor to the city, I can say I wish my area had something like this.

I went here with a friend. While we were there, there was a birthday party. Most of the people were fun to be around and the staff was quick with bringing out order. It is a space for gathering, mostly for the LGBT community.

Took 2 bites so dry couldnt do it.40 bucks for No service, dry hamburgerand pancakes you have to wait for the syrup for.. Good thing only 40 bucks. Never again at this place.

Good atmosphere, but the bar is small and when I went it was too crowded to get a proper space to stand in, let alone get a drink.

Staff was bubbly and courteous.

I will also co-sign that they do have the one of the best bread puddings Ive ever had. The original owner was from the South and would bake the pudding at home to bring in. When he sold the place he also sold the recipe - and we are all better off for it.

Food is good. Try the fried chicken sandwich.

$12 for undercooked eggs, one slice of dry toast, 2 strips of bacon and coffee with no refill. Not worth the money go elsewhere
