Great company with a wonderful mission. Ive worked with the Shea Yeleen team for five years and cant say enough great things about how committed they are to creating living wage jobs for their suppliers. Their amazing skincare products are a bonus. I particularly love the lavender body cream. It keeps my skin so soft, but their mission is why I keep going back for more.

The lavender honeysuckle is my favorite! So creamy and deeply nourishing. I also love their lip balms! Honestly, all their products are great! Additionally, I appreciate that Shea Yeleen works with women cooperatives in West Africa, so not only am I getting great products but I’m supporting other women’s economic empowerment too!

This is the most amazing Shea butter product I’ve ever used. It smells so good and makes my skin soft supple, and silky. Such a luxurious beauty brand at an affordable price.

I have been using Shea Yeleen products for over a decade and I love this stuff! As a person with extremely dry skin, shea butter is the only product that has worked for me and after being introduced to Shea Yeleen, I have learned that not all shea is created equal. I always buy the pure shea body balm but the body cream is also great if you want something a little lighter. I’m excited to see how much this company has expanded over the years and the product quality and consistency has remained the same. So glad I can now purchase these products at Macys.com whenever I am running low! The added bonus is Shea Yeleen’s mission to support fair trade and the empowerment of women and their communities, which is a mission I can always get behind. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting the founder and her passion and integrity for the work in these communities always shines through so I’m always happy to continue to support and my skin thanks me for it! Keep up the great work!

I first met the executive director of Shea Yelen in Peace Corps Mali when we were in our early 20s and fresh out of college. Her vision for this business came out of seeing the need to see women in very rural and poor village in Mali thrive. When you educate a woman and equip her with the tools to be more resilient and self-reliant, you have blessed her children and many generations to come after her. Rahama has done just that and have given women in both Mali and now Ghana the agency to manufacture quality shea butter and to set the stage for economic development in their communities. As a person in the field of international development, I can vouch for the integrity and equity of Shea Yelen business ventures. On the personal side, I have watched this CEO overcome many trials despite all of the ups and downs of running a business. I am also proud of Rahama who has carried the burdens of a black own business on her shoulders for the sake of the women who will eventually benefit and be able to feed their families and educate their children in some of the most poverty stricken areas of Ghana. Throughout the years, I have observed her as a woman of integrity foremost and a woman who carries a posture of humility. When we purchase a product from Shea Yelen, we are also participating and contributing to something greater than ourselves.

This was such a high quality product and I would recommend it to anyone. It came 3 days before I thought it would. Communication was smooth, packaging was all eco-conscious, and I am excited to support a fair traded product from a business owned and operated by black women! Keep on rising, Shea Yeleen!
