Coffee is always on point, staff are always friendly. Yes, sometimes they are busy but only because everyone on campus wants a cup of their amazing coffee! The space is clean and cozy. This is the only place within a pretty wide radius where you can find single-origin Ethiopian coffee. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Keep doing what youre doing!
The quality is not consistent. A stuff definitely did my order wrong. Line can be huge, they can be slow as there is only one machine. A big problem is that they dont write your name on the cup, so you have to stare at your order as you dont want to take other peoples drink or you dont want other people take yours. I like their chai latte (even tho they just use some powder from Amazon, the milk they use is pretty good) that is the only reason I go to there.
The DAV is alright. Im a student at AU and its okay if youre really opposed to giving Starbucks your money. But in a vacuum, their coffee is just okay
Wait here is too long in regular school days (and nights) It’s more efficient go to Starbucks at the tunnel. I’ve spent here around 30 min waiting a simple cappuccino. Also there is imposible for them to be consistent with the drinks your order. I found myself rushing to class before stoping here for a drink.
When I asked if there is added sugar in almond milk for cappuccino they told no. When I asked for their almond milk to have a look at the ingredients cane sugar turned out to be the second ingredient. If I hadnt checked it Id have health troubles. Anyway, coffee tastes really good.
Wonderful coffee! If you bring your own mug you can get it for $1. Really cool vibe with great music. Essential for any student.
The coffee is good. The cold brew is some of the best (and cheapest!) in DC. But be prepared with cash -- they dont accept cards.
Oh, The Dav. I love you.Easily one of the best spots to study or hang out on campus, The Davenport definitely brings that cozy coffeehouse vibe to AU. All of their coffee is fair trade (and delicious), theyve got a bunch of snacks and juices from local companies, and usually have a drink of the month that supports a certain campus group or cause. Whats not to love about The Dav?...Maybe the long lines and the fact that its difficult to find a place to hunker down on homework sometimes. Other than that, its a really cool campus fixture.
The perfect place to stop by if you park inside SIS (or pass by on your way to campus). I usually get one of their pastries or a quiche in the morning - but I know they also serve a variety of caffeinated beverages. There are long lines in the morning when school is in session, but they usually do a good job with keeping it moving.
Real cute and quite place. The best locally made Vegetarian Chili.Comfort food...delicious😋
Best chai latte Ive ever had, also has great pastries and a ton of outdoor seating
The dav has great coffee and is a relaxing place to study although sometimes the music is overwhelming
I may be biased because this coffeeshop is at my university, but I make a daily stop at the Davenport Lounge, affectionately known as The Dav on campus. The coffee is fair trade and really smooth, and there are plenty of options for non-coffee drinkers, with a range of teas, chais, and juices. In addition, all the pastries are from a local bakery and are made and delivered fresh every day. The almond croissant is a particular favorite. Its student-staffed, so everyone is really friendly, and it has the feeling of a hipster/nerdy coffeeshop. In addition, every month the Dav chooses a different cause to donate a portion of its proceeds to so its great to get coffee from a place that gives back!
Daily coffee spot. Great staff, music, pastries and, especially, coffee.
Great coffee, good prices. Bring a mug for $1 coffee.
During the school year, lines are slow and the quality is inconsistent. When school isnt in session, much improved. Wish they had late night hours
Nice cozy place on campus
