The place looks nice. The food is overpriced and just ok. The service was horrible. The guy gave us water, took our order, gave us our food but never checked back on us. We had to ask for the bill and more water which also took a bit to get. Hopefully you dont get the window seat on a sunny day cause it was hot seating there. I was sweating just seating there. They dont really have AC just a couple of mobile units that dont feel like they can handle the area they are meant to cover. Wont be going back there next time Im in DC and definitely wont recommend it to friends going to DC.

Its a Butcher shop but eat in restaurant also, I was there for the latter. Came around 2 pm, almost no one there. Cozy place, sandwhich was good but not amazing and fries needed a bit more time cooking, they were soggy. Decent spot but nothing to brag about. It is a standout as one of the only sandwhich places in the area compared to a lot of ethnic cuisine in the area.

What a disappointment. Well, after waiting 10min for my sandwich, a group of fourcame in and orders a few Buenos Dias sandwiches as well...and the kitchen went into mass production. See the other pictures of melted cheese posted by the restaurant? The reality is more like this: gross raw Velveta American Cheese slices. The eggs tasted microwaved, as did the meat. I liked the arepa style for the “bread” but ultimately the execution was rushed and certainly not worth paying for. RED APRON BUTCHER! I challenge you to invite me for a new sandwich that you’d be proud to serve, because right now, the food coming out of your kitchen looks like 💩💩💩

Im not a big fan of sandwiches but this was amazing. I had the porkstrami and it was out of the world. The texture of the meat was great and it was not dry and bland like sandwiches Ive had in the past. Highly recommended! Its both a dine in and a takeout. Not too many tables for dine in though.

This place is a gem. Everything was great. The eggs benedict, hotdogs, hamburgers, turkey sandwiches were superb. The steak fries were to die for! We ordered 3 bowls. Yes a little pricey, but well worth it!

First off the place was clean and in order. Besides the fact that burger and fries was over 20 I waited 15 to discover my order was never placed and they wanted me to wait another 15 to cook it. Was offered nothing to fix the problem.

Came on a slow, rainy Sunday for lunch. Porkstrami sandwich and a cup of coffee. Nice ambiance, music, and quality pork. Expect matter-of-fact service, like a high end deli counter. Food is worth it. I enjoyed my experience here.

I had jury duty at the courthouse a few blocks from Red Apron and used it as an excuse to join the lunch crowd here. I atmosphere inside is intriguing and they have two tables outside. I ordered the Dino burger and it was one of the best burgers Ive ever had! The pork gave it a unique taste but it was very good.The only minus were the fries. They were just average and half of mine were too crispy to be eaten.

Sandwiches and fries were very good. Service was excellent. Good beer list. Only real complaint is that it is a little pricey.

Oh my goodness, I almost walked past this gold mine. I dont know how many times I just kept walking down 7th street with turning down the road to this amazing find. My waiter was very friendly and well knowledgeable. I got there and the bar was full, I ended up getting a table and enjoyed my dinner. I highly recommend that you stop here, but make sure you bring extra cash, because you will wont to spend it all here. Red Apron Butcher is connected to the Partisan restaurant. Go there and enjoy yourself, they have plenty of craft beer too.

Ive never had any of their sandwiches. Ive only ever went for the meat, cold cuts and sausages. All of their products are amazing. If Im hosting a party I usually get some pate, rillette and some of their cold cuts. Ive never been disappointed. Their sausages are really good, if you want to BBQ or cook in a dish. Just really good quality and fresh.

Food was great. I got the chorizo burger and so did my dad we both loved it. The waitstaff is very nice. I would definitely come back here.

We tried this place because it looked like a nice casual restaurant with a small menu and simple food.My wife and I ordered a burger an order of French fries, pancakes and an order of bacon. Everything was underwhelming.The bad:The service was slow only two serves were on staff. The burgers were bland, no flavor at all. Asked for burgers cooked medium and order came in raw. The burger buns are straight from the grocery store. Fries were the greasiest fries we have ever had, the pancakes were flavorless and bland even the syrup that they came with was bland. Bacon was greasy, nothing special.The good:Nice waitress very personable, great atmosphere well designed restaurant.Would not recommend and wont go back. Needs a serious menu change, considering how small the menu is and the price the food should be phenomenal.

5 of the Six of us loved our sandwiches at lunch. Clean upscale restaurant with friendly staff. We will be back.

The coolest thing about this place is their decor. Their bacon burger is really nothing special, its definitely something I could make at home from scratch. And the Nates Fries are definitely double fried, which is fine but It makes your stomach sick from all the grease. All in all for the $17 for a bacon burger and fries with no drink, I would look elsewhere.

I asked for sandwiches to go for a picnic, and selected among the menu two items that the waiter assured me were sandwiches. Results: 3 small pieces of chicken in a box looking 3 days old and over cooked and a roast beef sandwich with meat and near frozen bread NOTHING more! Everything were fad no tasty...$27 for that... the place looks fancy but definitely not worth to spend time and money...

Last night I went in for a glass of wine only to get treated like garbage. I sat at the bar and the bartender handed me a menu. Not a big deal, but a hello or how are you would have been nice, especially after I said hi and how are you. I then asked a question about the wines and he gave me an attitude and didnt answer. I was ignored,,,not to mention I had to wait for him to be ready while he was busy talking.I took a shot in the dark and went with the GSM (apparently they dont let you do a quick sip) but luckily it was good. Really good actually. But the lack of a sample sip isnt the issue.The bartender brought the wine and I asked if it was the middle pour. He took it back and said I should have specified first and then gave me the small pour. I actually wanted the middle or big one. He then proceeded to act superior and threw a sarcastic insult in my direction, then continued to ignore me because the people next to me placed a large whiskey or bourbon order.Ive had some good experiences here, but there is a 50/50 chance youll experience this same thing. Its always hit or miss for me so instead of giving it another try. Im simply not going back. Just not worth being treated like garbage and insulted when you just want a glass of wine after a long day of work.

Sandwiches were pretty lame for what we paid for them. Had the beef and cheddar and a breakfast sandwich. Neither was exciting and were what I would expect from a bad food truck. The staff appeared bored to tears.

Great selection of Meats and sandwiches. The sub rolls are fresh and soft, the meatball sub is near perfection. The service is odd - I couldnt tell if I should order at the tables next door or the counter - but the food was worth it either way. Plus they have scrapple.

Love this place. One of my go-to lunch spots, excellent charcuterie and a unique beer list, too. Brown liquor selection is on point. Big fan of Chef Anda and team!

3rd strike for this place as a butcher shop. We’ve come to try to by meat 3 times only to find it closed every time. They don’t run the same hours as the restaurant they share the space with... so we arrived and even though place is full of staff, they won’t sell you anything from the counter + management use the adjoining restaurant so frequently for corporate events, for which they close the whole place, that there is no way to know until you’ve made a special trip. Total waste of time.

I have mixed feelings about this place, but overall, I really want to try it again. I had the porkstrami because I love pork and pastrami. However I wasnt completely sold on their marriage. The after taste left something to be desired. However the bread was fantastic and I could tell the meat was high quality even if not my cup of tea. When you walk in, it is a little confusing. The restaurant is to the left. The counter is for to go orders only.

There are two parts to the restaurant. Unfortunately, I was there for the grab and go sandwich, the service quality I received was no better than McDonalds. The cashier threw a menu at me when I asked her for recommendation. The house burger I picked ended up being no larger than the size of my fist. It came with no sides, cost a lot, and took them over 20 minutes to make. Needless to say I wont be going back and I do not recommend it to anyone.

We went for breakfast and had the Patriot sandwich and Buenos Dias with a long coffee. They were very good. The space is cool and there´s a huge bar inside.

Hands down to the best burger I have had to date. Made fresh from the Butcher with all the fixings. I ordered a second one before I finished the first.

The service was great and the food was more than worth the reasonable charge. I would definitely recommend the carrot cake donuts.

The breakfast sandwiches are far too small and thin to be worth $6. Make a circle with your thumbs and index fingers and thats how big they are. It was tasty but you can get something just as good and bigger for less at several other places in the area.

Probably one of the worst eating experiences Ive ever had in a d.c. restaurant. Horrible slow service. Coffee was served bone cold. It was my husbands first day of work in the city. Since I didnt start until the next day, I stopped by to grab lunch and checked on him. I wanted to try Protein Bar across the street but the line was through the door. Instead, I let my husband choose - Red Apron, it is!The menu was simple - stable items and rotating daily special - my husband went with their Monday Meatloaf and I went with their smoked chicken salad. The first thing I noticed when our orders were brought over was how tiny the portions were. For a girl my size, I was still starving after wolfing down the whole sandwich. Although the potato buns were buttery and toasty, the smoked chicken salad in my sandwich (overloaded with mayo) was simply tasteless.Overall - Overpriced + limited selection + their sandwiches should be described as sliders rather than burger - no wonder the line was through the door across the street and this place was half empty during lunch rush.

Very good for breakfasts. Bagels, English muffins, and even croissants will feel dull after you’ve experienced a breakfast sandwich on a tigelle -- a glutinous masterpiece from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. There are several options, but you’re getting The Patriot with bacon or sausage, egg, American cheese, and maple butter.The Patriot is my choice!

You must add this Buenos Dias breakfast sandwich to your diehard bucket list of things to do. I googled inexpensive breakfast in D.C.... The chorizo and pickled onions together are an amazing combination. Its worth the payback in the garage for all you ..Lovers of cross fit.

Pimento cheese was good. Specialty drink was ok. Service was HORRIBLE. The staff was completely inattentive. Note to management: way to get your staff buzzing in the middle of service with a wine tasting. Great ambiance but the waitress ruined the whole experience. I waited tables for 10 years and never gave the kind of rude responses this woman did. FYI Italian plate does not translate to Italian sandwich. It sounded like a charcuterie plate. Perhaps a case of mea culpa, but regardless, I have had better Italian sandwiches at Jersey Mikes.

This place is a terrible, wannabe hipster butcher whose employees know nothing about meat in general or even their own inventory specifically. Recommend you find a real butcher.

Im a little hesitant to blow this place up because I want it all to myself. Red Apron just opened at this location a couple of weeks ago. I went today and had the Porkstrami sandwich which was AMAZING. I couldnt concentrate on anything except how delicious it was - all soaked in meat juice, fresh mustard, and krunchy kraut! A friend got the Muffalletta and his only response was chewing and nodding. They also sell cured meats and other products like broth and lard which I will definitely go back for. My friend tried one of their caramel candies and described it as other-worldly. Definitely check this place out, and you wont regret it!

Service was slow..food was absolutely terrible. Flavorless salad with wilted greens, charcuterie plate was a little on the avant garde side with flavors that just didnt seem to go together.

Found a long blonde hair laying right through my breakfast sandwich. Agree with the reviews about inadequate service. Will not revisit.
