Although they have a colorful selection of draft beers the service staff is not helpful in understanding their menu or selection. The staff member was very rude when asking about the beer and pricing and just wanted to hurry us along to the extent that he tried to select a random beer for us. We were the only people there, I’m not sure what the rush was. My wife ordered there previously and had a negative experience as well.To the benefit of those visiting Union Market, looking for a good time with friends and family, I would recommend going to Hi-Lawn on the rooftop for about the same price or lower price and better ambience or any of the other fine establishments within or around Union Market. It’s a real bummer to be in the city looking to enjoy summer and see people who clearly don’t like what they do and take it out on the other people.

The customer service was outstanding as was the food. The chefs take great care in preparing and presenting tasty sandwiches with just the right amount of spice and sauce. The pulled pork is the best I have ever tasted. Well done Red Apron Union Market.

I don’t know about some of these reviews, but I personally had a great experience here. The beer was cold, the service was amazing, and the tables were clean. I’ll definitely be coming back — highly recommend.

We love coming to Red Apron to get their burgers and rosemary garlic fries. The burgers are always amazing, and dare I say the best burger I’ve had in DC so far. Their bottled cocktails are fantastic (and strong) as well!

These folks are kind in the pandemic and serving a pretty impressive burger and fries. It is becoming a ritual because of the outstanding customer service.

Tough to give a not-great grade given the pandemic, but Ive been here a few times, and every time the food is just a little lacking, the beers are expensive, and the service isnt that friendly.

I stopped in union to grab a quick bite to eat and I decided to try the chorizo burger. To my surprise it was really good. The staff at red apron was cool and my food was made quickly. One of the best things about eating in this area is there is so much going on and I love the outdoor seating.

The sandwiches at Red Apron are really tasty, but it seems a bit pricey although you could probably say that for most of Union Market. The Porkstrami sandwich though was really tasty, moist and full of flavor and the French fried are really a great as they are cooked with fresh herbs. Also seem to have a butchers counter as well and they are best busy. The flow to the inside counter to order is a little non-intuitive as you pass the menu to order, but very tasty food. Not enough seating though for this busy stall.

Porkstrami Sandwich*twist on the traditional pastrami sandwich, shaved super thin and almost melts in your mouth, absolutely loved the sauerkraut reminded me of the sauerkraut I had in Berlin, not sour but rather savory and porky.*since I got my order to go, I might ask for the bread to be on the side next time because the mustard aioli made the bread super soggyBeef Fat Fries*Super crunchy with the skin on, great with the rosemary and garlic, added a nice flavor to the friesSpent $15 for lunch and I was super full and satisfied, definitely will be back. Interested in trying the beef and cheddar but reviews have been very mixed so Im not sure.

I am absolutely obsessed with the burger and fries here. I could sing praises to their fries. Get the fries. The restaurant can be a bit crowded at times, made worse by the general crowded atmosphere of Union Market, but food still manages to come out in a decent manner.

Best roast beef Sammy I’ve ever had. And I got a hand full of free pastrami too. Can’t complain about that!

I live near Union Market and have always been meaning to try this place. Its always packed and for good reason. I had the meatball sub and really highly recommend it. The salsa verde on top of the sauce is a good touch. It comes with two meatballs and it would be perfect if there was just one more. Still pretty reasonably priced for what you get.

Insanely overpriced. While the beer selection is impressive and the food is good, the prices (for drink especially) are insulting. I paid $ 11 for a full pour of an Anchorage Brewery offering: An eight, maybe 10 oz. glass and the head of the pour stopped about a finger from the rim. I can get a better deal at Nationals Park.

RED APRON ROCKS, however, this location is a complete waste of time and money. Food sucks, service is worse. I love Union Market and have given it multiple chances, I dont know why I keep going back. It is important to note though that I complained online via email, and the customer service I received back, was amazing. Great General Manager!

Red Apron Butcherys flagship location in downtown DC is great and this is their stand in Union Market. Theres something about their flagship that deserves a high rating, but their stand is not as good. Here are the pros and cons:-Pros:- Alcohol list: They have beers on tap, in a can, cocktails, and even a cider. They allow you to carry your drink throughout the entire market.- Seating: They have a bar and two long tables to enjoy your food.-Con:-Food: It was just meh. We ordered the fries and they came out cold and not the best fries in DC.If youre in Union Market and want a drink to walk around with, go here!

I found there burger to be a bit overpriced and way over cooked and dry. I asked for medium and I got a well done hockey puck. I like the all in one atmosphere but I will not be getting a burger or meat of any sort from them again.

I have to say that I was really disappointed in the Italian Sub. While the meat and flavors were ok, the sandwich as a whole was pretty dry and I felt like I was eating pre-cut, packaged cheese that you could buy at the grocery store. Ive been to Red Apron twice, and the first time I had a good experience. This time I didnt even finish the sandwich. You should still go, but Id definitely recommend trying something else on the menu.

The first thing that stands out to you is the knowledge of the staff. I dare you to ask about any of the craft beer on their menu and not be prepared to be stunned by the rich, full length stories that can be provided about each of the hand selected brews on their menu. The second thing that will slap you in the face is how perfect the meat ball sandwich is. If you dont come here and try this, you are missing out on the experience of a life time. Your first bites will blow your mind.I definitely recommend stopping here for a beer and a meatball sandwich. You are crazy not to.

I ordered a chorizo burger and I was very disappointed. I did not ask but I expected a burger with chorizo and instead I got a chorizo patty. It was also supposed to be topped with avacado, pickled onions and sour cream, you had to search to find them. I would not recommend it.
