This shop is terrific. Super friendly staff who clearly know what they are doing and are accommodating and kind. They also make stock on site that is high quality. And, as someone who is extremely picky about crab cakes, their crab cakes are also excellent.

Great meats and seafood options.Adding to this review. Visited the store this weekend. wanted a NY Strip for a guest who could not eat crab cakes. picked out a great strip. After looking at the strip the butcher said it was a little dry and wanted to make sure he found a steak I would really like. Went into the back and cut a strip in front of me and said I want to make sure I am giving you a steak I would want for myself. My guest from NYC said it may have been the best steak he has ever eaten including many of the top restaurants in NY. Other butchers would not provide a service and do not care about their customers like the people working at Georgetown Butcher. We are lucky to have such a great establishment in Georgetown.

Excellent spot. Impressive selection of items, great service, and they were insistent that if I ever wanted something they didnt have, I just needed to let them know and they would source it for me. Fresh ground burger blend when I asked for it, awesome variety of steaks, high quality seafood. High end butchery is always going to be pricey, but relative to the competition Georgetown Butcher seemed to have some of the best prices in town. Id highly recommend going here.

Best butcher in town. This team is on top of their game and happy to give any tips you may need to make your meal a success. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We go back every few weeks.

Holy Smoke! We picked up two ribeye from our new favorite butcher. I wish I got a photo of the finished product but, we devoured it. It literally melted in my mouth. Amazing quality.We will be back.

This is by far the best place to buy meat and seafood! It is always fresh and there is no need to make a sauce because the meat by itself is just outstanding. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, you will learn something after being there. Once you go once you will not go to a generic grocery store for your meat or seafood again!!!!!!!!!

I visited Georgetown Butcher today, after reading the article in The Washington Post. I was excited and Happy for the owner. I met him 10 years ago while working in McLean I shopped in McLean Organic Butcher and to me he went MIA lol only to discover he followed his heart and pursued his dream. The crabcakes were delicious.

Wendel is amazing! Every time I see him I find a love for a new cut of meat and the best tips for how to cook them. He is knowledgeable, patient, and there is something to be said about is ability to build relationships and remember you as a person and a customer. He is my go-to neighborhood butcher!

The quality is 5 star. The fish was so fresh, it tasted like buttery lobster! The steak - Georgetown Cut - sliced thin and marinated - was the most tender ever! I just seared it and baked it. We are so lucky to have the Georgetown Butcher in the neighborhood. Thank you!

This place is fantastic and has great service. Went there for a custom cut of pork belly, now I get all my steaks, lobster, and pork from Wendell. He really knows his stuff.

Stumbled upon this place on our Sunday walk. While looking at the menu outside, one of the team members came out and welcomed us to come in. So glad we tried it out. We bought some beef filets, and some sausage. The quality of the meat was top notch along with the customer service. I haven’t had steaks that tender in a long time. The team was beyond welcoming and very helpful. Highly recommend this spot. We will definitely be coming back on a regular basis.

Wendell and Harley left an indelible mark on Georgetown with their professionalism and commitment to customer service. I spent last week reminiscing about The Glory days of dc, when our football team played at RFK stadium, Gogo music, the wharf, and more with them. I plan to make this a regular visit after my weekly blue bottle Georgetown run.

The quality of the salmon was amazing! They even did the hardest part by removing the pin bones after freshly filleting the fish. Online ordering and pickup was quick. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

He is the ribeye king! If you are really wanting to splurge, try the A5 Wagyu. It’ll change your life. We only get it on special occasions though and the normal grass fed ribeye is amazing

Brilliant dry aged porterhouse. Knew exactly what I needed when I said Bistecca Fiorentina. Quick delivery with no issues whatsoever. Will definitely buy from them again. One of the best butcher experiences Ive had in the states.

I ordered a ribeye steak here and it had great marbling and it was one of the best steak I have ever had!The butcher, who I sadly did not get his name, was so friendly and helpful. I totally recommend this place.I will be coming back here for sure!

This is the new spot to buy meat and seafood in the DMV. These guys recently opened DURING the pandemic and have really come through for me in the clutch. The seafood options are the best quality in the area and shouldnt be missed-we got a giant red snapper, salmon steaks, crabcakes the size of a baseball, and Chilean sea bass. Ask about the creamline chocolate milk...it is disrespectfully good.
