Immediately fell in love with the place! Even if you dont live close its worth a drive! Their selection is great we were super excited to see their rakija selection especially. Massively impressed! Ordered a bottle of whiskey and apparently it was being sold online for less then what I hade purchased it for and they gave me the difference in cash. Potomac easily has the best selection of wine than anywhere else in DC - and they have the BEST prices! I go here for the special bottles of wine to stocking up my liquor cabinet. I wont go anywhere else.

Small but mighty, if youre a lover of wines off the France-Italy-CA well-trod path, you will find funky Georgians, aromatic Argentine Torrontes, and fruity Bekka Valley reds here. Just being in the store is to expand your wine knowledge. Im forever loyal.

We frequent Potomac Wines 3-4 times a month. Josh and Gabe are courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. If you need something they don’t have in stock, they will do whatever they can to get it for you. We are fortunate to have such a great store within walking distance.

Decent selection, however only 20 percent of the liquor had listed prices. So if you don’t wanna pester the staff endlessly you just sorta have to guess.*edit* I went back a month ago and the selections were almost all labeled. The employees spent a good bit of time with me helping to find a perfect gift. Fantastic experience.

Great place! The guys that work there are super nice and very helpful. I dont get the beer they sell in Canada and every time I am in town I always call them up to make sure the beer I want is in stock. And they have no problem getting it for me.

Just became my liquore store of choice. They will order something for you if they can and most of the time you wont even have to pay upfront (maybe if it is something they wouldnt normally stock or havent ever stocked youd have to pay up front).They carry all sorts of bottles that I have been struggling to find in Virginia and even in Maryland. Ive easily been to at least a dozen stores looking for certain products and they try to overcharge the crud out of me or they simply cant/wont order it. Definitely worth going into DC for me.

We like to stop in when we visit DC because the bourbon selection is very different to that in NC. The last few visits, weve picked up their Four Roses Single Barrel store picks, which have been unfailingly good. I appreciate the knowledgeable staff, who will help find you the bottle youre looking for, share occasional samples, and talk helpfully about the mashbills.

A small liquor store with a limited but diverse selection.This is a small store in Georgetown, so you shouldnt expect it to be filled with every liquor you can imagine. They have some nice wines, a collection of good whiskey/scotch/bourbon, but not extensive enough that youd expect to find every rare bottle.The biggest selling party here is the variety that they do have. They have various forms of brandy, bitters, Amari, mixing liquors, everclear, and other specialty items. There wasnt much bottom shelf stuff, mostly just mid to high end varieties.Prices were fair and the staff knew what they had and where to find it quickly.

Went looking for a particular liqueur, which they were the only one that had it in the DMV. This place looks to have a good selection and I would definitely go back.

The customer service is horrible. Annoyed and useless. I went to ask for a brand that I need and I know that this is not the most classy wine. The assistant laughed at me. Next time I ordered natural wine. The guy had no idea. There are no good recs, there are no good prices.

All I brought was pineapple juice and ginger ale.... then I asked for a bag.... cashier told me it was 5 cent.... who walks around with change????no thanks
