Limited product, untrained bakery and meat employees.Delivery is new since Covid and every order has missed or incorrect items. Coming from big cities, this store is a disappointment in many ways.

Local supermarket that is in Hermitage PA. We visit occasionally. We dont have a Giant Eagle 🦅 in Greenville PA anymore so the Hermitage PA is our closest location to us if we need one.

Went in for live lobsters and they didnt have any. Looked for lobster tails and they didnt have those either. Id call before making a special trip in for just those. Otherwise it is a great place to shop

Youll find most things you need here (unless super specialty). Small vegan section, but at least its there. Very clean and friendly atmosphere.

This GE has a parking space for Veterans that is appreciated. It has the best selection of cheese I know of in this area. The place is clean and the staff helpful.

Whos bright idea was it to place the credit card machines at the beginning of the conveyer belts instead of where they used to be in a normal location? It makes for a slower more awkward shopping experience!It is preventing the next customer from putting their items on the conveyer and in turn ended up making me closer to the next customer as they were standing at the end of their cart away from the handle impatiently awaiting the ability to place their items on the conveyer. Therefore no cart between us to cause help contribute to social distancing! Normal location typically lends to at least a cart between you and the customer behind you. You have plastic between the cashier and the customer. Is it really necessary for the card machine to be so far away from the cashier?

Its Howland, so of course its a nice giant eagle. I wish the cell service was better indoors for Verizon, but cant complain about anything else. Always well stocked and nice workers. Parking lot is a nightmare.

Service here is terrible! Go inside, and lines are always massively long. They refuse to open more registers and just try to force everyone to self checkout, which is a disaster. Not that it matters much, most of their cashiers are painfully slow anyhow. No one helps bag groceries, so the cashiers have to do it themselves, which just makes it worse. Curbside pickup is a mess. I’ve tried it here twice. They only have 4 parking spots reserved for curbside, so even when I arrive at my scheduled time, all 4 spots are full and I have to wait and try to snag one as soon as someone pulls out...which other people are trying to do to...it gets ugly and I’ve had someone almost hit my car trying to beat me to the curbside space. I’ve waited almost 30 minutes for my curbside order to make it out to my car, and then the order was missing 4 items (items which I had ok’d substitutions for), so I had to go back to the grocery store and go inside anyhow. If I’m going to have to do that, I’m just going to go inside the store in the first place — it’ll be quicker, and at least I’ll have everything that I want!! Hopefully other locations handle the curbside better than Howland does.

A little on the pricey side without sales and their 5gal. Water supply is unreliable but the store overall is good quality wise.

Expect to be treated rude by other customers walking through the isles. Its insane how people act now a days.

Has everything but? More flavors of lactose ice cream. Thats it other than that? Its the way mankind envisioned a Supermarket.

We scheduled a covid-19 vaccine here today and actually got one!!!! We traveled all the way from Philadelphia, PA.....5.5 hours to get the shot.....PA is so screwed up that we would have to wait until June to get one in our home state and home in Chester County, PA..... The PA health department is pathetic!!!!!!

I love this Giant Eagle, but now I live closer to Elm Ed G.E., and theyre traffic is far less, which means better parking.

Pretty much have been going here for years. Its a nice sensation walking into a store that has brought some little joys on occasional visits. From the first dragon fruit Ive had to the always delightful bags of shelled pistachios. Never a bad experience.

Great store but slow check out forever even before Covid.

Prices are comparable to other places in some areas of the store. You just have to shop smarter. Watch for ads and sales, remember most things can be frozen until a later date. Try to buy fresh food and frozen. Processed food is not good for you on many levels.

Curbside pickup is terrible since they started the online sign in to pick up. I have yet to get my whole order. And a few things I know they had or had something similar but no one calls to ask. No one lets you know your order was not complete and there are times when Im charged for something and never get it. No clue how that happens.

I have to admire the guts of the lady who entered the self-checkout line with seven types of produce which all needed to be looked up individually.

Cindy on register #8 (approximately 3:45 1/13/20) needs more supervised register training. Older women purchase came to $84.81, customer gave her $85.01. Cashier attempted several times to give her $5.19...? Older women customer tried to get her to just give her .20 cent. Cindy kinda snapped at her a d said let me do MY job took almost another few minutes to try her to see the light. Thank goodness Joe (fellow cashier) was there to assist her. Training is needed.

Its Just another supermarket 3-stars because the public restrooms are abysmal for privacy. Walk in and you can see the middle of the toilet right down the crack in the stall door. Ive never been more uncomfortable in my life.

This is my favorite Giant Eagle out of all of them. The store is set up very nice, has great tones that make you feel comfortable and smooth ingress and egress. The only downfall is their prices. Why cant they drop prices to be more competitive with Sparkle, Save a Lot, Marcs and Aldis?

That is a really great store very well done its nice because you can also get gas and use points theyre good for quite a bit of stores.

Surprisingly good selection in all departments. Wonderful array of quality imported cheeses. Top quality chops and steaks in the meat case. Fresh produce that includes some organic selections. Excellent selection of wine, beer, and spirits.

I was hoping to see hand sanitizer at the entrance or someone wiping down buggies.

I’ve been shopping at this GE for +10 years. The customer service in bakery and meat is amazing, but for the past few weeks there’s been a kid in the meat that doesn’t seem to practice good sanitation. He touches his face, I had to tell him to change his used gloves, he doesn’t seem to know where a lot of the meat products are, and he has a bad odor. I always have good customer service from all of the other people in meat, but I’m not buying from the counter if this guy is waiting on me. I hope management does something about him.

Great place to shop, always has what I need. Every day prices are a little high, but their sales are good and selection makes up for the price. Excellent selection of wines, beers and liquors too. If it wasnt for the parking lot, Id give 5 stars.

What makes this store great is the team. Everyone is very friendly and will help you find things in the store that youre looking for. They will even go out of their way to let you know if they have products come in that youve asked for in the past. My husband and I are always greeted by a team member as soon as we walk in. The same employees have been there for years which is a great indicator for this location. As long as I live in the area, I will continue to shop at Howland Giant Eagle.

It is a nice story and all but you never have enough pork rinds I could barely find them had to ask somebody they didnt know where they were at and finally I found them on the bottom shelf why dont you carry a lot of different pork rinds no car people like stuff like that also you didnt have any Breyers carb smart low carb ice cream completely out always are what seems to be the problem

This is a standard Giant Eagle with a large selection of high quality food items. There is also a pharmacy and a state liquor store on-site.If you want cheap go to Wal-Mart.

This is the second time I have been here. Two registers open and several self check outs but you have to have an advantage card. So I wait 25 minutes in line, no exaggeration! I have not moved!

I will never shop that giant eagle again. I had a manager from a department other than the department I was in about not honoring an item in their ad. He said it was only for Pa. stores but the ad didnt say that. I went to 2 other giant eagle stores and the items were priced as advertised. The manager was very rude, I am a senior citizen and felt very disrespected.

GE has moved their CC Keypads to the end of the isle...So anyone using plastic to buy MUST move down the isle and STAND RIGHT NEXT TO THE STRANGER BEHIND YOU IN LINE.When I asked the cashier why the Keypads were moved to such a spot of such EXPOSURE, she said (I cant make this up!) To promote social distancing. How silly.Stay away 🦠😷🦠

Ivebeen to several stores looking for fresh basil and no one had it, I finally went to giant eagle and not only did I get fresh, I got the plant and it was cheaper then the pre-packaged stuff. Love it.

Really like Giant Eagle. Th ed produce has gone down a notch in the past couple of weeks but it is still one of the best grocery stores around.

I needed a cake for our family reunion. I went to the bakery to talk to the decorators and discuss the details of the decorating. They had GREAT ideas and were extremely helpful. The final version was FANTASTIC and a huge hit at the reunion!

This Giant Eagle is one of the best ! Especially their bakery department and salad bar/lunch bar area. Thank you for making my experience at this location wonderful.
