I love the staff at this Ulta!!! I have been to many Ulta stores with my niece and have always encountered snobby, uppity, staff...The ladies at THIS ULTA did not judge me by my appearance as they have in the past. I had on sweats a Hoodie, sneakers, and a ball cap..I did not feel judged based upon my appearance...they gave me the same level of attention as the other ladies that were dressed to impress. I almost had to pinch myself and ask myself are we in ULTA? Lol...I live an hour away from this location, and would be travel that hour just for the experience. You ladies Rock!!!

Her attitude and professionalism with me and even other employees is the entire reason my clients and I will not be visiting this store again. They really need to have more than one person working the register. I’m not sure if they’re understaffed or what but every time I come to this location they only have one person on the register and the line goes all the way back to the cosmetic isle. I even got out of line one time to let the manager know that the cashier needed help, she said okay and disappeared.

I found this Beauty shop on the site easy to access and easy to navigate. There is a wide range of products by several leading beauty companies and all at very reasonable prices. I will definitely be using them again and recommend them to all of my friends who love to shop for beauty products!

I’m very disappointed in my visit today. Other than the perfunctory greeting—one I responded to, and had a question to ask, but was ignored for the next group—I only talked to the cashier who could not have cared less.I was looking for a specific product and couldn’t find it, but after trying to get the attention of three saleswomen with no luck, I gave up and purchased the closest product I could find.

Their customer service is non existant.They have no respect For professionalism around their customers. They sit and disrespectfully talk about their customers right in front of you while there checking you out it very unprofessional. The worst part is it wasnt just the cashier Shayna it was her manager and someone else in the store talking on their radio as well as across the counter to each other. It was very unprofessional and disrespectful to all the customers who had to listen to them.

The sales associate was so helpful. Even though she was not able to touch my face to apply the foundation due to Covid-19, her choice was a perfect match for my skin.

Had a fabulous hair makeover a d picked up quite a few items on the way out!

One lady provided a not so good experience. She asked if I needed help...I said, Yes. She showed me where the product was i was looking for and there were several brands of that particular item and then right in the middle is me asking questions she walked off saying; If you need any help let me know! I looked at her like; ARENT YOU ALREADY HELPING ME? THEN WHY ARE YOU WALKING OFF?!

I placed an online order for in store pick up. The lady at the front who helped me didnt seem all that happy to be there. I understand that working in retail isnt always pleasant but her whole attitude was very standoffish and she made it seem as if I was bothering her more than anything. I ended up just getting my order and leaving....

This is always a great store to find beauty products of all types: makeup, hair products, fragrances, etc. Unfortunately, I couldnt find what I wanted and no one came over to ask me if I needed help finding anything. They did say hi when I walked through the door which is nice, but less necessary than or helpful when someone is obviously having trouble finding what they need.

Made a hair appointment. Arrived 30 minutes early. Stood by the salon counter looking for anyone. Walked around thinking maybe the stylist was taking a break or something. Finally see someone rummaging around the salon area. Stand at the salon counter for 5 more minutes. Was finally greeted by the rummaging associate who went to get another associate. Finally someone, after 30 minutes wasted, was able to let me know that the stylist left for the day and would I like to reschedule. No way! Why reschedule if your stylist won’t show up anyway!?!?Read the other reviews, I’m not the only person who’s made an appointment just to be left with no stylist at this location.

I saw Chanel at the brow bar and she was awesome. All the staff I encountered were very nice and helpful. The only negative I saw was that some displays only had products that looked like that had already been opened, but thats just people not using the testers.

Have great makeup but no service I am handicapped and no one even offered to help at all...I almost left with nothing will go to sephora next time

This particular day was kind of odd for me, every time I go into a Ulta I always have the cashier just say good morning or welcome. This time it look like the district manager or somebody of importance was there that day. And everybody spoke to me that day and it was only for customers in the store. I would give it five stars, but I do have some bad news. I found a Chi flat iron for what I thought was $19.95. I thought somebody did not do the clearance the right way. When I got to the register, I was told that it was $59.95. When I try to State the fact that it was $19.95 the young lady said that the gun 4 the clearance sticker over Mart from the dollar sign and the one from the price tag. In fact the price should have said $119.95. And it should have been on sale for $59.95. When I try to justify the error in the clearance gun they stated that they would not be able to honor the mistake. And all of the flat irons said the same thing. I was very heartbroken that one of my favorite stores did this

Love the Waldorf, MD store. Had a super knowledgeable salesperson in makeup area who explained and let me sample the bare minerals blushes today.

Got a haircut here and was a little hesitant because I thought Ulta was only a makeup store. I was blown away by the cut and have been receiving so many compliments on it. The staff was super friendly and I had a great experience.

I ABSOLUTELY loved my experience today with Jennifer. Jennifer was very welcoming from the time I talked to her on the phone to schedule my appointment. I have never geeky that relaxed with a new hair stylist. Not only was her personality awesome, BUT Jennifer is the bomb stylist. In my honest opinion Ulta is a little more pricey than what Im accustomed paying but I was 150% satisfied with Jennifer and therefore Im willing to make the sacrifice to pay more for Jennifer to do my hair. Keep being great Jennifer!!!

I went into the store looking for a specific eye shadow pallet made by Anastasia Beverly Hills, I wanted to buy it for so long. One weekend I had extra money & decided to finally go for it! I went to the store and realized it was not held at this Ulta and never was... I was sad at first but the staff was incredible!! They helped me find an even better pallet by Morphe! I love it. Such a wide range of colors. They also gave me tips on different foundations that would work for me and which brushes to get starting out. They made the trip so enjoyable, such a sweet sweet staff. Im also kinda new to the makeup world, so I really appreciated the nonjudgemental help :) :)

Very nice clean very helpful people

It took over an hour for me to get help when I had gone in to the store - the staff were busy doing each others make up and ignoring all clients. After finally catching their attention, one staff member finally helped me. When I was at the register, the manager was very rude -- I was spending an easy $125 yet he acted so bothered that I was there. The ONLY reason I did not give this demeaning, degrading and awful experience a 1-star was for the staff member that was able to color match me properly and answer my questions -- again only took over an hour, but hey - at least I got helped. So to you, I wish I could remember your name, thank you for being awesome.

A very huge store. First time there. Felt overwhelmed. The cashier was very nice and helpful. I used a coupon from the app on my phone. I am collecting points from my first purchase.

Only a 3 star because you dont always feel welcomed here. Whenever I come in for about the past 3 visits most of them look like why are you here? Seem like they dont want to really help you. Asked questions about makeup because I have no clue and was given very short answers that didnt exactly answer the question I asked. I usually walk out spending around 50 - $100 bucks, the last time, I walked out with nothing because it was so uncomfortable. Ill try them again in a few months, hopefully things have changed by then.

When they post deals they should honor them. The sign clearly states what is excluded.... Why does the manager get to exclude other items??

It was ok. They dont sell hair color so wasnt really what I was wanting out of the store but I still bought stuff. You can test out hair dryers here which I thought was cool.

Recently went into the Waldorf location and was not helped I tried asking for help the girl who smelled like under arms said she was busy clearly not a lot of people were shopping, I walked to the other side to only find her laughing with another Co worker. Everyone seemed to have an attitude and i was not asked if I wanted a rewards card when I asked how to sign up she replied “online” i felt unwanted...first and last time in ulta

Their salon is one of the best places to get your hair dyed, their esthetician is amazing, and everyone else is really great about making sure theyre finding you products that you will enjoy and not just sell you something to boost the numbers.

Customer service questionable at best. I walked around for 30 minutes looking for a product and no one offered assistance. Fortunately for this store, dark circles and eye cream prevailed, or I would have left. Got to the counter with over $100 purchase and I had to ask about a free gift. First I was told, “No, there wasn’t one for this product”, then when I questioned that, she said I couldn’t combine products. Finally, she pick up a list and went through it and said, “Sorry, there’s no offer today for the product.” I had more than 1 brand. 🤨😒 #Amazonwithbetterpricesandnoattitude!

Its large, clean, well lit, and the staff are usually pretty nice. The services are hit or miss. Ive had someone do a great job on my brows and Ive had someone botch my brows. I wont get my hair done there again. They have a lot of products, but I dont think they have a lot of really great stuff.

All the employees here are gorgeous, helpful and very kind. The store is clean, organized and a fun place to shop.

Too crowded, long checkout lines

The store appears organized and clean but it needed to be restocked. A lot of the testers were missing, product shelves were empty and there were no tissues or alcohol at the clean up stations. My hand and arm looked like an artists palette with all the colors I tested. But I couldnt wipe them off. I needed help finding foundation. The white sales girl stayed in her section and appeared she was busy....doing nothing. The black sale girl who was the only one working was busy helping 3 people at once. I finally got a girl to help me, although she acted as if I was bothering her. I should have known shed be no help from looking at her makeup and wig. She painted my face and I looked a hot oily mess. I couldnt wipe it off. She handed me the bottle and walked off. As I debated what to do next (could not see a manager), the black sale girl who was hustling came to help me. She assisted me in finding a cheaper, better alternative. She was friendly, knew her stuff and salvaged my trip to Ulta. I ended up getting an under eye concealer and leaving looking horrible. But if you get the black lady with the short blonde hair to help you, you will be great. If not, RUN AND GO TO SEPHORA.

One of the cashiers, I believe it was a manager, was very pushy about the rewards program. I tried telling her I don’t want to sign up for it and she kept pushing the issue. She also was acting very judgy about my not wanting to sign up. I never shop at ulta so I don’t need to be part of the rewards program. The only reason I stopped in was because I received a gift card as a gift. The store itself was clean and organized. My review is based solely on the experience with the cashier.

I went into Ulta today to visit the Benefit Brow Bar. I typically prefer to come here but today was seen by someone Ive never been waxed by before. I hate to even leave this review but I feel as if its necessary because of sanitary reasons. As the woman Bri began to prep me for waxing there was a strong smell of feces on her hand. I felt uncomfortable to even say anything at this point in time and also realized that typically the person waxing will sanitize their hands prior to preparing but she did not. I hope that by leaving this review, Ultas management will enforce stricter sanitation rules. I hope no one else will have to share my experience.

Never, ever again will I go in here to the salon. I went in for hair (just to get curled) and makeup before a maternity photo session. I was very clear that I wanted a NATURAL makeup look. Im fair skinned and didnt want a lot of makeup at all. I hardly wear more than a bit of mascara and mineral powder. First, my appt. started late because the client ahead of me arrived an hour late. Sorry, they should have turned her away. I got my hair curled and then had to wait another 30-40 mins to get my makeup done while the stylist attended back to the client who was late to finish her up. I was clear I needed to leave by a certain time to make my photo appt. She came back to do my makeup and again, I was very clear... natural look, blend it all in well to match my skin tone. I even showed her a few photos. My skin is pretty clear and all I had was a bit of redness to cover up. She goes and grabs all the makeup, applies it, and then when I turn around I was so mortified looking in the mirror I just said great! because I needed to get out of there ASAP. It took TWO HOURS for what should have taken 45-60 mins, then another 15 mins just to pay because the line was so long. I was also hoping it was just bad lighting in the store so I didnt say anything. I raced home, took whatever I could off my face with gauze pads in the 2 mins I had, and headed out to my photo shoot with hopes that it wouldnt be so bad in photos. Well, I got my photos back today and I look RIDICULOUS!! I literally look like an Oompa Loompa and my eyes are so dark they look so bad! And thats AFTER I had removed some of it! The makeup is so caked on and so orange, it makes me look wrinkly and older than I am as well. Complete opposite of a natural look. So incredibly upset because these photos are not something that can be retaken and I invested a lot of money into them!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ever getting a makeup application here!

NO STAR!!!! IT IS MAKING ME GIVE A STAR TO REVIEW!!!!!! Today, I got the worst service. I walked in went to the hair salon and stood there for 20 minutes. A hair dresser seen me and ignored me, another was in the back. There was no one at the register. I finally said Hello?? A lady getting her hair colored said they arent cutting hair today. I said i traveled out of state to come here. The hair dresser in the back said to come talk to her. So I told her I wanted a hair cut, I needed one bad and seen the reviews and wanted to try it. She said come back at 2:30pm. I came back at 2:30pm she wasnt there. The other hair dresser had an attitude and didnt want to check me in, didnt want to find the other hair dresser. She sat down and talked to another lady. Another woman walked to the register and walked past me twice saying nothing. I was pissed. Not only was I treated like I was bothering everyone that worked there by wanting a hair cut. I also was ignored and the hair dresser claiming she would cut my hair wasnt there anymore. I WILL NEVER GO TO THE ULTA BEAUTY IN WALDORF MD. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND I WILL BE CALLING AND LETTING THEM KNOW IT FELT LIKE A RACIAL REASON I WAS NOT HELPED AND LIED TO.

My visit to this location hasnt improved since my last visit about 3 months ago. I love Ulta because they sale a lot of the products I like but their customer service has been really subpar.
