I would travel 1,000 miles and pay more money just to NOT buy a car from these people. Save yourself grief and go anywhere else. These people are rude ans wouldnt even let me look inside a car without showing proof of being able to afford the car. Which I had cash in hand ready to buy that day. Sad for them they missed a sale which are hard to come by these days. Im happy I went somewhere else to buy where I will be treated with respect and dignity when spending my money.Edit: Regarding the response to my review. The dealership is covering for themselves. They told me the car was for sale and I told them I was interested in purchasing which I was. Good luck to this dealership that lies to cover bad reviews.

Today we visited Greg May Hyundai in Waco to look at their cars. We were met by Clayton White. For at least 90 minutes he patiently answered our questions. Eventually he gave us a little tour of South Waco to demonstrate its handling on the highway. Furthermore, Clayton took time to show us the many features of the automobile. Clayton was thorough, informative, and professional. For those reasons, I believe we will return to strike a deal.Clayton white is a 5 star sales representative for Greg May Hyundai.

We went to this lot looking for a used SUV, and walked out buying a brand new car. Our car salesman was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and explained everything so good. The price was right so we bought it!! I’ve never owned a Hyundai, but now that I have one they have the best upgraded technology next to a jaguar and a Tesla. I have always what makes a great dealership is the sales of a vehicle but it is how your service department treats patrons. Well Tommy Clark and his service team as well as Michael Burke and his parts crew are proving Greg Mays service is a step above. My family and I had a flat and called AAA to change it. This is when we found out our new Palisade had locks on the tires and dealership we purchased from failed to give me a key. I called GM and spoke to Mr. Clark for assistance. He said they close at 6 and if I could get the car there before 6 they would try to help me. My family and I pulled up a 5:58. They stayed after hours and made sure my family was helped. What they didnt know was I was recovering from a transplant so I couldnt physically change the the tire. Without their help we couldnt have made it back to North Texas. Thats the difference between customer service and Quality customer care! Thanks Mr. Clark and the Greg May Team!!

Bought my 2021 Hyundai Venue from Clayton. He was able to help me find a good deal that met all the criteria I was looking for. While discussing the features, he showed me an app called SharePoint GPS that allows you to track your vehicles location at any given time. Fast forward not even a month later after my purchase and my car was stolen. Fortunately, due to the app that Greg May Hyundai includes in most if not all vehicles sold, I was able to retrieve my car in less than 4 hours from when it was reported stolen. Thank yall for helping me find a new vehicle, setting me up with the app, as well as following up once they heard the news to make sure I was doing fine.

My overall experience was OK but, after the sale has not been satisfactory. My sales person, Justin Owens, has not kept his word and has not replied to three emails I have sent him. I guess he could care less about repeat business. Making the initial sale appears to be his only concern.Even after bringing in a friend, who bought a car, I cant get a reply to my emails. This is NOT at all professional, much less courteous of the man.Im not sure if I would recommend Greg May to any of my other friends or not???Ted Chastain

We dropped our car off 16 July 2021. Our car was ready on Sept. 20, 2021. I made repeated phone calls to the dealership about our car. It was a whole month before anyone even checked it out. I felt I was given the run around about getting the car fixed. Then it was a month before the car was worked on. I was told it was Hyundai corp. that was dragging the situation out. They didnt want to put in a new motor, but this is the same thing the recall was all about. The motor should have been replaced the first time, instead of putting the customer through this a second time. We couldnt even get a rental car because they didnt say what it was going to cost or what they were going to do, medical issues were involved. So it was a hardship involved.Then on pickup, the staff was unconcerned, didnt explain anything just here is your paperwork. The customer svc representative Thomas was just two steps above rude, his face had a look of disdain up on it. So my wife left the building she was visibly upset at the treatment. No we were not happy, but the car is fixed and we are praying nothing else happens to it.

I recently bought a 2021 Ioniq from this dealership, and I love the car!! The dealership however has not lived up to its promises. I discovered a few weeks after the purchase that the there was no tire mobility kit. I spoke with Justin who said he get back with me. He did, but his attitude along with the GM was that I was lying and once was there. I tried calling back several times but no response. I will never use these guys again for service or sales. Very bad way to treat customers. I ended buying a spare from eBay at a fraction of the cost they quoted.It was a brand new car! Shows how little you even looked into it!

We actually walked in to this dealership yesterday. I cant speak highly enough about this company. What all it offers. and Justin was amazing. He made sure i got in to the vehicle I wanted. Me and my husband thought we would have to down grade on the vehicle. But he made it happen. And made it happen in our price range. He was great. My husband and i was very pleased. And we love our new 2022 hyundai santa fe. We will definitely be back when we are ready for a new vehicle again. looking for a new vehicle? these are definitely the people you want to go see. I came to the right place to come make my first car purchase. My salesman, Josh was exceptional! He was a tremendous help in helping me find the car I wanted. I had been searching for a Hyundai sonata some time now and he, without hesitation, was so willing to help me. He greeted me and my family with a smile even on an hot day. He helped me get a great deal for the car. Josh was kind enough to also show me a tutorial on how my new car works and gave me a rundown on how hybrids work. From Josh to the other salesman, Matthew, to the people working in the back, they provided phenomenal customer service, were attentive, and patient. 4 Stars is because I absolutely love my Hyundai Tucson.2-3 Stars is for their Customer Service Dept.All I have to say is I will never return to this particular dealership to have my vehicle serviced again. Been a Hyundai customer for over 5 years and never been treated as a nobody going into a service dept. or dealership. Tenured customer or not, have always seen that every single individual that walked through a Hyundai Dealerships doors is still top priority.Made an appointment on line, it was confirmed. Came in at 7:50 a.m. which is 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment. 4 recalls (two hour job) and an oil change that would have typically taken 1 hour. Regardless my car was ready at 12:36 p.m. Ridiculous! It sat on the lift for no less than an hour with no one working on it because the salesman has the service department guys running off to get gas for vehicles they were trying to have customers test drive. That right there tells me there is no structure of management in that dealership. I was furious. If the salesmen want their customers to test drive vehicles well they need to take the cars to fill them up the evening before. Especially when service department is swamped!!! Just because I am a Hyundai owner already doesnt make me second.

Greg May Hyundai was an extremely professional car dealership to handle my purchase of a new Hyundai Palisade. This vehicle is extremely popular right now, and I knew if I wanted to find one in the exact color and trim level, I would need some good help. I rely on good information available on dealers websites, and Greg May literally won my purchase by having the best information available. What do I mean? - Greg May posts vehicle info the moment they arrive on-lot, including the STICKER info. That meant that I could research the sticker, finding the color of the vehicle (which was a very hot selling color) so I could then contact and arrange for the sale right away. Finally, they really sealed the deal by driving my car to me - a distance of OVER 100 miles! - where I could sign the final papers at home, rather than in the dealership.

The air conditioner compressor went out on our 2020 Palisade. Once the replacement compressor was received I received a call from Greg May that it was in and scheduled an appointment for the next day to have the repair made. The repair was completed in what I considered a timely manner. The service staff were courteous and provided updates during the repair. Nice to have cold air again in this Texas heat.

The 1st time going to this location, it was amazing. Staff was very friendly and my oil change was completed within an hour. This last time was not so great unfortunately. There system allowed my to make an appt. on a day they were closed. They called me and we were able to get it rescheduled very easily and quickly. When I arrived to drop off my car (opening time), there were about 10 other cars and took me about 30 minutes just to check in. About 6 hours later, we called to check on the car. Nobody could give us answers about the status of the car. After 7 hours of waiting, I go to the dealership to find out why an oil change is taking 7 hours. The employee was overwhelmed with in person customers and phone calls. The manager came in about 25 minutes of me waiting to help. Both employees were very kind and apologetic. I understand things happen, especially in these times were so many people are unwilling to work. Hopefully they get more help and my next experience goes back to like my 1st experience at the location.

Went here for a slow leak in tire. $20.00 and still had slow leak in tire. Made another appointment and they charged another $20. Irritated as felt like they should not have charged it twice. The kicker is 5 days later and we still had leak in tire. Same tire. They said they would fix and charge another $20. Which is ridiculous..Very sad. customer service not better when you spend 10s of thousands on a car and they dont treat you better when you have issues.Thanks

I wanted to give 0 stars but it wouldnt let me. I sold my car to NEVER EVER have to step foot at their dealership ever again! The manager was a joke & hes already gone. The regional manager was a joke & I dont know if he is still there. They lie straight to your face & definitely dont care or try to help you out in anyway. It was the ABSOLUTE WORSE customer service I have ever seen on MULTIPLE occasions. I quit going for oil changes for that exact reason but then had to stop in for a warranty job on my car. TERRIBLE! Greg May hyundai tries to overcharge its customers a minimum of 2000 additional dollars per sale. In the end I walked next door to the Greg may HONDA dealership who could sell the same car, and they verified that the Hyundai dealership attempts to overcharge their customers with a 2000$ cleaning fee ETC... I ended up getting the car we wanted at a reasonable price next door at the Greg may HONDA. BEWARE!

Appointment set for 12:30pm. 2 hour job that took 6 hours and another morning. Didnt get my car back in time for work at 6pm as expected and they dont even offer loaner cars right now. Also, setting appointments for this location is terrible. You go through a call center and give your information over and over again every time you call when it should be as simple as giving my phone number and everything should pop up so I dont have to go through all my info each time. So due to not once but twice bad repair service here and the customer service (its hard making an appointment), Ill be going somewhere else for my car repairs on my Hyundai vehicle.

They raised the asking price at signing & lied to me on how much they gave me on my trade in.*I just uploaded the pictures of my trade in. It had no spray paint. I asked for that price in person not online so it would be hard to say it was other than in good condition. My car was the White Dodge Durango in the pics. Bunch of liars! I have never had a good experience with this dealership, but today was just disappointing. On Tuesday I had tried to call multiple times throughout the day with no answer. I stopped by after work to schedule an appointment and was told I would not need one and to show up at 730 Friday morning for service (oil change, tire rotation, brakes) and so I did. When I arrived this morning I was told “well we won’t be getting to that today so I hope you weren’t planning on waiting for it.” That’s fine, no big deal. I had already made other arrangements. I actually decided to leave and take my car to be serviced elsewhere. I’ve never been to a dealership that doesn’t want customers. The service department here needs some education on customer service, I will be driving my car back to Dallas where I purchased it to avoid having to come here.

I took my Hyundai Elantra in to Greg May with a list of items needing service/repair. One item was a recall, which I specifically let the Service department know in advance when I scheduled my appointment. When I picked up my vehicle there was no mention of the recall on my bill; and when I asked about it, they only said they didnt have parts (which they should have let me know when I made my appointment). Another item needing repair was a tire pressure sensor which they also did not address or fix or mention. They did call me while the vehicle was on the blocks to ask if I wanted new brakes installed, to which I gave the go ahead. They then did not install these (and my bill says I declined this service recommendation; a sticker they put in my widow says my brakes are green when I know that they are in need of repair). Lastly, I had a new set of tires put on. Driving home, the steering wheel was like a jackhammer. When I took vehicle in to another service station to fix the tire balance issue, I was informed that the tires had been installed improperly.When I picked up my vehicle and discovered all the work they failed to complete, the service rep at the desk never apologized or offered to help in any way. Instead, he only said: new people here need training. This is not only a customer service fail at all levels, but the tire installation issue was also a safety hazard. When I dropped my vehicle off, I did poke my head in the showroom to look at a new model. Needless to say, I will never return for service nor will I ever buy a car from Greg May.

I had been internet searching dealers in TX, CO, KS and OK for a specific used vehicle. After several weeks, Greg May Hyundai (a 7 hr drive from my house) listed that vehicle on their website. They were very straight forward in conducting the negotiation and deal via emails. I tried to make it easy for them by being thorough in describing my trade and including photos. When I arrived at the dealership Monday morning, their vehicle was ready for me to test drive and inspect. The paperwork was quickly completed and I was on my way in time to arrive home early that evening. During this process I received excellent service from salesman Darwin Rice. He quickly responded to all of my inquiries and answered all of my questions, even providing photographs to support his comments. Darwin and his sales manager provided excellent service and responsiveness during the sales process.

If there was a 0 I would give it!!. We took our car in for repair first week of December. Took them a whole week to determine it needed a part. Next week part came in, and still didnt fix problem! Needed transmission. Third week, had to get permission to order it. Days later, said they needed original owners signature to get permission! They did go to our daughters job to get the signature. They never called us about any of this. Only found out when we called. Also, have been asking for loaner car since beginning. Kept saying one would come in next day and they would call. No calls! They have 10 loaners and one has never been returned in all this time, or they just give to someone else!!!! When my husband called Monday, they said transmission they received was cracked! Had to reorder. It is now Thursday night. They have had car 4 weeks as of yesterday!! And we have had no calls from them at all. Supposedly, John, is taking care of us!

No one asked them to turn off the check engine light. And they charged me $120 for it. Should be illegal. Other than that, car runs like it should. I also dont like being quoted a price on the phone before I get there and all of a sudden on arrival, the price has upped greatly. $120 is a lot of money to me. Especially if you dont know your being charged it. The communication with the service department there, is minimal. And conversations change from what I was told and lied to about, to the next morning a different story, by the same person, to my husband. (Service manager) But the actual car was worked on right. Its still a complaint. But got results.

My experience was very fast and helpful. They are always helpful and personable. My dealer, Trevor, was and still is helpful with things I dont understand and never makes me feel foolish for asking questions. I brought my old truck as a trade in which had almost a quarter million miles on it and wasnt super clean but they didnt seem to mind and didnt make me feel bad about bringing in a piece of junk. The only feedback I could offer is maybe not assuming the process of buying a new car is not common knowledge for everyone. There were a few things that were overlooked and could have been illegal had they not caught it before I left the lot. But I enjoyed buying my first car from them. Would recommend 10/10

Had a scheduled service appointment...walked in on time, nobody at the desk. I waited, multiple employees walked past me without saying a word and there was still no one there. A simple acknowledgement wouldve been enough, instead I left feeling disrespected by the staff. Very poor customer service.

Poor experience at this Greg May Hyundai. I am typically used to fantastic service through Hyundai, but its clear that this dealership does not uphold the same standards.They did not make me aware that a service was covered under my warranty and refused to find a resolution. I ended up paying for a service that should have been covered at 100%. I kept getting passed along with each new person promising to find a solution and call me back. Not one time did they call me, but after days had past I had to reach out each time. Every time I got in contact with someone it was as if they hadnt kept up with what I had shared with them.The last person I spoke to was the Service Manager who was terribly rude to me on the phone. Neither him nor his staff are trained on Hyundai procedures as I called corporate and they helped me out in NO TIME.If you do decide to go here, make sure you ask a lot of questions to get what you need to know. They will not provide good customer service and I suggest calling corporate as they were wonderful and got me taken care of in just a few hour when this dealership took over a week and a half.

On the 15th my air conditioner went out on 2020 Palisade 22,000 miles. Husband drove 1 hr to Waco location in 100 degree heat to have things checked out service dept said compressor needs replacedOk so parts “ordered” should be in today Monday 21stSo didn’t hear from them so I started calling took 5 different times trying to reach anyone at dealershipFinally asked to talk to service manager who proceeded to say no part was ever ordered WTF….Poor service department who can’t follow through with getting factory parts (car still under factory warranty)!!!!!So now hopefully parts come Friday to yet make another hot trip to Waco

Took my car in for an oil change a few months ago, took over five hours to complete and then my check engine light was suddenly on. They sent the kid who works the front desk to check it out and of course he knew nothing! Finally after twenty more minutes of this kid going back and forth chatting with the service tech and wasted time I had to go inside to get a manager. Then another ten minutes of unnecessary talk about what it might be.... to find out they screwed up my cars computer. During an oil change? These guys couldn’t pay to get a clue. Oh, and they don’t care enough about anyone else to wear a mask. Dirty and unprofessional. That 4 star rating is thanks to being the only Hyundai dealership for 50 miles. Can’t wait for a new Hyundai dealer to open up and take their business.

I had routine oil change and inspection done on my vehicle. The shuttle service was timely and the driver was very friendly. To improve, I would appreciate some more information about the recommended service when I schedule the appointment so I can be sure I am not missing anything essential. I know all this is in the manual, but a great service would provide the details for you at the time you are scheduling an appointment.

Everything was great except when I asked if they filled my washer fluid they said yes and I tried it before I left the parking lot and it was not filled. So now I do not trust that everything on the checklist was completed. I am a senior citizen and mostly drive alone so I really need to trust my car.

This was by far the best car buying experience ever! Our salesman was Justin Owens and he was fantastic! We came to this dealership frustrated with the others we had visited. He navigated everything for us and had us out the door before we knew it with the exact car we came for! The service department, from my experience, has greatly improved. Melissa Price (service adviser) has markedly shown a difference from previous advisers and mechanics in the three years I’ve come to Hyundai-Waco. Through screwups - forgetting to order parts for warranty work, oil change only 3/4 filled, incorrect computer input on mileage by 22,000 miles that wasn’t corrected when requested - I definitely felt Hyundai-Waco was poorly represented. There seems to be a different service department attitude since my previous visits, be it the service director, the service advisors, the mechanics. Whatever the case may be, thanks for the provided service, and thanks Dylan for the advice!

I took my car in last Monday early A.M. without an appointment as the check engine light had come on over the weekend. I knew that it would be a work in. I called about 1:00 P.M., and was told that it was next in line, and that the representative would call after they did the diagnostics. No call. At 4:30 or so, I called back, and the representative said the Technician was out to lunch and would be back in about 20 minutes, and he would get the information and call me back. No Call. Tuesday I waited until late in the afternoon, again about 4:30 and called, the representative did not know, but said he would check and let me know. Guaranteed that it would be no more than 15 minutes. Again no call. I called back at 5:30, and managed to get the Service Manager, who could not answer my question, but put me on hold until he found out. Turns out the anti-knock sensor was out, parts needed. Again on hold until found out that it would be Friday until parts available. That was O.K. BUT COMMUNICATION WAS POOR. If you say you are going to call, do.They did call after the service completed on Friday about noon, and no problems so far. Light is off, car runs.
