Wow, I must be a ghost or something.. None of the staff acknowledge me being there. Ended up walking out after I had what I needed and the guy at the counter continued to stare at me and then back at the computer screen. Very akward.. Went in today to get a 3.7v battery and charger. They want way too much for a battery I can get x10 of for the same price elsewhere. They dont even have a charger for the product they are selling. Its a shame because Id prefer to support local business, but looks like Ill just keep ordering my gear online. You guys need to focus on providing in-store customer service, not just talking with you regulars the whole time while others wait on you to finish. Very sad scene over there..

It was fun seeing everything cool and they didnt have the traxxas ford raptor. They said they could order it online for me and give it to me and Tuesday and guess what... They didnt call me yet.

This place is awesome, the employees are very helpful and friendly, all they want to do is help you out and get you interested in a new hobby. They can be slow sometimes but I have been coming to this shop for almost 6 years now and they never fail to get my rc trucks running. They do a great job with anything you need.

Ordered an RC part via their website. Didn’t receive a shipping notification so after two weeks I tried emailing and messaging Visalia Hobbies and was ignored. When I called, I was put on hold and hung up on THREE times. On the fourth call the associate told me the line was breaking up and hung up again. Disputed the charge via PayPal and Visalia Hobbies didn’t fight it or acknowledge it so I got my refund. Can’t speak to their in person store but their online store is 100% a scam.

So, I walked into Visalia Hobbies an hour ago with $900 in my wallet and the intent to spend every last bit of it on RC gear. Specifically, I wanted a Spectrum radio, a Blade 230s heli, an E-Flite Turbo Timber and associated accessories. All were in stock and ready to go. And yet, here I sit with $900 still in my wallet. I could have easily, and efficiently, ordered this stuff off the internet. But where and when I can I support local business. However, the customer service was so appallingly bad I ended up just walking out. I will now order this gear from Horizon Hobby and will never set foot in there again. Which is a real shame because that used to be a good hobby shop.

Great service every time! If they dont have what you need, they can order it in about 2 minutes. I needed a charger for a Hoverboard and they dont stock them but can get it to you in 3 days.

Well I went there for my drone to see if I can get a battery I think its more less for RC trucks and cars that much do with their drones which had a few couple in there for sale but theyre more into the trucks RC trucks and boats and stuff like that but had a good time talking to them theyre respectful and polite

Unorganized. Very little inventory in plastic models, and terrible inventory of paint. This place wont last long, unless it becomes an RC only shop.

Ordered 3 parts from their website. Got an order confirmation but nothing else. After a few days I gave them a call to make sure there were no issues and got told that one of the parts was out of stock but he rest would ship. Another week goes by and I hear nothing so I call again. Now I find out that 2 of the parts are out of stock and discontinued but that they had the 3rd one and old be shipping and refunding the rest. I got the part but no refund. It has been over a month since I originally ordered and I am still waiting.

Guys could get lost there third only to auto showroom & autoshop, models of cars, planes, and trains, went there to Pick-up elec part for modifying motorcycle to electric..WISH ITEMS can be picked up here so savings increased, above all found i can purchase gas setups for bicycles and scooters, my hobby and p/t income as wellvas surveys...

The employees and prices are why I continue to support the store. No matter what Im looking for or have broken and need to replace they have it. Ive even had them price match online competition. They carry a great selection of new and used RC cars and planes as well motors and everything in between. If you lack tools or ability they fix any problem at great rates.

Placed an order on may 23rd 2020, they sent me a confirmation and took the money but I never received anything else, no shipping confirmation and no parts ordered. I tryed contacting them via their web site and sent emails but nothing no answer no reply.

Excellent customer service super fast shipping arrived 4 days earlier than expected. Highly recommended.

Great Hobby Store. 9 years ago I got into RC aircraft and Visalia Hobbies has always been there to help me with any Planes, Parts and support with there expertise. There prices are always more than competitive and are always eager to help. If they dont have what Im looking for they always find it and get it in a timely manor without any shipping charges. (good luck trying to get a online company to help with a problem.)

Way,Way over priced.The main guy acts like he has a stick up his,(imagination).The other guys seem to be very afraid of the main guy?They are very scared to make a decision on anything?It didnt feel welcoming when i walked in.I felt like i was the wrong color or something?I couldnt believe they acted like i was bothering them but i just spent 50 dollars.There is a very arrogant feel in this store,almost racist feel.I wish when i walked in with a smile and happy to talk to them they would smile back at least,and seem to be happy for my business.Oh and another thing is they follow you around the store??I have never felt so uncomfortable shopping.walking in this store is like walking in a store from segregation times.I noticed all the white folk that walked in werent followed around but when the Mexican American walks in,oh boy you betcha they follow you around.I also forgot to mention that several workers in the shop are polite.For this reason i will give three stars.I am happy to see my response,out of the several others,responded too.So moving forward i hope we can have a good ol mom and pops shop atmosphere,Lord knows we need it.

They have everything a hobby shop should have. I stopped by to see if they had a part for my sons RC car. I wasent even sure what the part was bit they helped me figure it out and had lots of knowledge.

Probably the worst hobby shop I’ve ever been in. If you like cars I guess it’s ok. I fly fpv quads. They have no current parts or anyone there that knows anything about them. What they do have is from at least a decade ago. Don’t wast your time.

Excellent customer service. Last XMAS the wife bought me a smaller remote control car, not what I wanted. She also bought 2 drones due to the great customer service. In Jan 2017 I brought the whole unopened set up back to them and got the larger set up for about $1K, they were great about the return. I had no previous knowledge of using a remote control car so they took the time to explain.Yesterday I returned to the shop because the batterys wouldnt work, they went above & beyond helping me. Online you may find something cheaper but you wont get that one on one customer service, the experience this crew has actually using a product, and they are honest about costs etc., well worth the visit. When you more mature in life you appreciate that customer service rather than searching for something cheap just to save a buck.

Took my son there for his 4th birthday so I could buy him a RC car unfortunately due to lack of customer service we walked away empty handed. We were there for about a good 20 minutes, not one person acknowledged us what so ever. We ended up driving to Fresno to HobbyTown USA and purchased my son first Tamiya electric RC car.

Great service. I bought my kids Traxxas Stampede here and every time he breaks it, theyve got the parts to replace.

I purchased a model kit (Monogram Douglas SBD Dauntless) from these folks, which came with a key broken part on the inside of one of the fuselage halves, rendering the attractiveness of the model moot. When I opened the box, many of the pieces had been separated from the spru, and it appeared that some dry assembly had been undertaken. The parts were strewn around in the box (obviously removed from any original plastic wrappers). I wont be doing any more business with these folks and strongly suggest that any potential customers be wary of what theyre ordering.

Staff is rude and acts to know everything. Ive been hobbying in RCs for 35 years avidly. The guy acted if I were ignorant for asking for certain things. Was even questioning my integrity. I found the pieces I needed but didnt purchase them out of frustration with the staff. Ordered them online. I spend average of 1000 on my hobby monthly and just moved to the area and was looking to pay patronage to a local hobby shop. I wont be doing business there again.

Well went in today with my son to pick up some parts for his RC Car. I usually try to stay away from this place due to previous experience. Every-time I go to this place I am always ignored or employees seemed bothered if you ask for help. I stood around for 15 minutes with no help. Poor customer service and Im going back to ordering my parts online. Last time I shop here.
