Have a lot of interesting and great things not at other stores. Somethings are a little expensive, but I expected that when I went in. A lot of fresh things to get from the deli and meat market. Nice fresh bakery section as well. I really love the store. I just have to have right much money to get the things I see I want.

Walked in looking for benadryl..asked the cashier Kourtini while she helping customer.. quick question...she responded 1 second sir without even looking up...waited a couple secs asked again...same response...even the customer she was checking out looked puzzled...went to target around the corner...grab the benadryl gave it to my son...went back to fresh market waited in line asked Kourtini quick question..quick answer to my quick question ..no we dont...great customer service

Excellent market located on the West side of the Pembroke Mall. There are not many parking spaces in front of the store, but thats plenty of parking on the north and south side of the mall. The store was very clean and fully stocked when I visited a couple weeks ago. They had plenty of cool chocolates. Great store!

Great, clean store. I was there around 7 pm and it had less than 5 customers. Great selection. I was impressed by the amount of variety this market offers. Honestly surprised why Wegmans is frequented so much by customers with this fantastic grocery so close by. Impressed by the selection and variety of market meals available here. A favorite spot of mine, kinda a hidden gem now that there are so many other grocery stores around. its quiet and has great deals when you catch them. Kinda pricy on a normal day, but they have stuff that is hard to find in other shops, local selections, and all of their in-store pre made meals and deserts are delicious!

Beautiful store, but a wee bit on the pricey side.Also, be on your guard when driving through the parking lot because the lot is full of super aggressive drivers, and the layout was very poorly designed when considering the very fast green light that allows cars to exit the lot onto Independence Boulevard.

I had to order a specific item in the meat Dept. that is uncommon to alot of folks. I explained it to the manager and placed my order for pick up a few days later and it was right on the money!!!! Props to him for a job nicely done 😉

This grocery store is great for finding unheated honey. And also naturally sparkling mineral water. Two things that are very hard to find at your average grocery store. They also have decent options on organic fruits and they play very relaxing classical music which makes a royal experience.

Another wonderful visit to the Fresh Market in va,beach, We really want a Fresh Market near Chesapeake square mall, but we are very patient people,.We love the market at pembroke, employees are very professional and helpful, there is a lot of wonderful food to enjoy from them, we have tried a lot of different things and we have never been disappointed with anything we have tried, the oak smoked salmon is to die for its delicious !!! All the bakery goods are fresh & great as well, to many great treats are waiting for you, so go enjoy some really good food. We tried the smoked salmon last week and we just got home with some more for tonights dinner. We are hooked.

The store is always exceptionally clean, the staff is very helpful and courteous, and I love their selection of specialty items. I typically take advantage of the Little Big Meals (it takes the guesswork out of what to fix for dinner after a long day), as well as the Tuesday chuck/chicken specials; theyre both great bargains!

Inviting atmosphere. Wide variety of specialty items. High quality fresh greens and fresh vegetables. The deli and prepared foods area is well-maintained and the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The items available are quite tasty! The bakery is full of delights, and there is a large floral department. Throughout the store, there are interesting gourmet gift choices, as well.

I LOVE roaming around The Fresh Market and I always make it a point to stop in here when Im getting something nearby.They have the best snacks section and I always load up on some of the package and weigh it yourself items for plane trips such as trail mix or sesame sticks.Their floral area is beautiful and my ex always had bouquets put together for me here above anywhere else. He liked that he picked the flowers and the vase and the nice ladies would put it all together for him at better prices than if he ordered them online from somewhere else.Fresh produce is all excellent here and the deli items are to die for. I LOVE the pre-made items you just heat to eat and all the pasta salads and cheeses! Heaven!

The Little Meals are awesome. Theres enough to feed four for $20-25. Every weekday there special item sales. People are nice and recognize regulars. Its nice being able to talk to people.

This is for the Fresh Market at Pembroke. I went in with the intention of buying fresh veggies and fruit. The selection wasnt great and the price was higher than I was willing to pay. Had it looked better, I dont mind paying. Its not set up for the scooter to be used unless you have mad skills. Im going to go to the one at Hilltop, and I hope they are the same!

I was so impressed from the moment I walked into the store with a sign that states You Must Cover Your Face.. walk through the rear of the store to the Meat Dept and find distance being specified !Thank God there is a grocery store that is going the extra mile to protect us,, others should wake up and pay attention,,THANK YOUSharon

I go to Fresh Market almost everyday. I pick up lunch. Then later on my way home I pick up dinner. The food is fresh and the variety keeps me satisfied. I shop here for specialty items. Around the Holiday season Fresh Market will prepare my Holiday meal.. If you havent had an opportunity to shop there, you have to go for the freshness and uniqueness of the store.

I am from the Midwest where fresh meats and produce are top quality. When I first arrived in Virginia, I had a difficult time finding food to fit my standards. Thank goodness that I found The Fresh Market. In addition to the high quality of their products, the employees are friendly and helpful.

This grocery store is fantastic! Keep in mind that you wont be getting the lowest prices on your food, but you will get lots of ready or almost ready delicious options that are priced better than a restaurant meal. Its a fairly affordable treat for busy work nights. Theres always the Little Big Meal option, which is $20 and feeds four. If you can afford a little more once in a while, this place is worth a try. Tonight I had an $8 grilled panini.

This place is a Supermarket that is very similar to Whole Foods. They offer $5 Sushi Wendsdays, and a wide selection of deli food choices. They also have a small dining area. This is one of my favorite spots for lunch. It is also in a great location It is located in Downtown Virginia Beach, next to Pembroke Mall, and within walking distance of Virginia Beach Town Center.

A great upscale grocery store. If its hard to find elsewhere The Fresh Market probably has it. The staff at the Independence Boulevard Virginia Beach store is very knowledgeable and very friendly. Great place for fresh vegetables, deli meats, and bakery goods. The parking at this store can be difficult sometimes; the lot right in front of the store is not very big.

One of my favorite places to shop for fresh produce and meat. I love being able to purchase from the butcher shop in small quantities....the bakery is amazing delicious!! You must try the cotton candy grapes they taste like cotton candy, you can also purchase other exotic fruits that other stores do not carry.. The store is always clean and staff is friendly and very helpful...Hats off to The Fresh Market for a great shopping experience 💝

Update (02/21/2020):The location has been declining these past six-or-so months.Inventory running out, short staffed in the deli and butcher (leading to very long waits even when youre the only customer waiting), lack of variety for baked breads, expired product being left out, and prepared foods that were opened but placed back out for sale. I found a large display stuffed with bags of tortilla chips that had expired days ago, fruit and vegetables of dubious freshness, and some steakhouse chili I purchased only to get it home and discover the plastic seal had been peeled back in the corner and some was missing.The checkout lines are still great and fast, and all of the employees are still very nice and helpful. They just need to staff properly and exercise more quality control.-----Original review:I love shopping here. Great deli and bakery - lots of selections, short waits. Good salad and olive bar. Plenty of items to choose from for such a small grocer.One almost never has to wait in line - if a line begins to form cashiers seem to appear out of nowhere to handle things. And this is a weird compliment, but they have the best POS / check out system. I can pay while theyre ringing me up, and when done it takes like 3 seconds to complete then emails me my receipt. No waiting around while a cashier has to ask a bunch of questions and a slow system processes the exchange and prints out a gigantic receipt. Just walk out the door.

Fresh chicken breast for chicken soup is DEFINITELY a MUST to make a favorable & healthy comfort food on these cold days. It cures all the ailments! Premium stew meat is another luscious dish to create with a dash of wine. It is a pleasure to shop at Fresh Market near Pembroke Mall! ENJOY!!!!!!

If you havent been to a Fresh Market yet, with as common as they are, you probably arent missing much. Most if it is organic, free range, holistic, or some other nonsense. If youre into what ever the hell a kombucha is, youre missing out. If you have a particular flavor of free range organic small batch tortilla chip in mind, youre missing out. If like most sane people none of that interests you, you might still be missing out. If youre in the mood for a quality home cooked meal and want to source some better meat then that chuck eye you keep seeing at Kroger despite going weekly, you might be missing out. Want a decent cake that wont break the bank? Try any of them. I am not now, nor ever aspire to be the kind of person that shops there weekly, but on a planned date night this is our go to stop for munchies. Pick you up a pretentiously flavored free range cheese wedge and a couple of pieces of ethically sourced fruit, maybe even wash it down with some juice made of oranges you aint never heard of, it may just be worth it after all.

This place is super clean and is the only store where they seem to care about their customers.... before the pandemic they had wipes for you to clean the carts .. they still have them but they have someone who cleans the carts but the wipes are still there for you to clean them too...

Their $7.99 Entree + 2 side deal used to be a good deal, but recently the employees have starting weighing everything and getting skimpy with serving size...the last two times I’ve been, the person behind the counter literally grabbed a couple extra pieces of onions and threw it in to get my entree to 0.50lbs exactly. I understand they have set serving sizes, but this is a grocery store, not a science lab...it’s really ok to give a customer a little extra, or at least just make it less obvious that you’re trying to stick to a certain serving size.

Good high end grocery store, excellent selections for those seeking organic produce or premade fancy meals. Prices can be high as youd expect, if you want slightly lower than you can check out a whole foods(though theyre a little sparse around here) or a Harris teeter. Would recommend checking out their weekly meal deals, lead to some great savings.

The deli is on point. You might want to try the chicken salad( if you buy a pound you get 4 croissant for free) I hope that deal is still going on. You can find some stuff you cant find in some groceries stores here also.

Fresh Market is a great spot for flowers, fresh exotic fruits, make it yourself nut butters, and other speciality items. My family really enjoys the little big meals, a pre-planned and portioned out meal to make dinner easy. Plus, they sell cannolis! Overall I really enjoy shopping at Fresh Market. My biggest complaint is the prices. But there are many items here that you wouldnt be able to find elsewhere.
