This is a pretty good Best Buy location. That being said, if you are in a hurry and need to do in store shopping, your options are limited these days.The store is maintained well and the products are kept in order, everything is where you expect it to be. The staff is friendly and helpful, the only issue is that they get busy so if you need something you might have to wait a few minutes.Online ordering makes things quick and simple, so I do recommend that whenever you can.

It’s clean. Its customer service reps are professional and knowledgeable. It has good parking. It’s by a burger joint in case one gets hungry after walking about. I don’t know its pet policy now, but once a couple was walking their non-service dog inside. I’m lightly allergic to dogs. My son is dangerously allergic to dogs.

I wanted to take a moment and give Miguel & Sam of the Vernon Hills Best Buy Geek Squad a SOLID 5 Star Rating! My visit had to do with warranty replacement of an Apple Watch. Not aware I required an appointment in advance, they took the extra time required to handle the necessary paperwork and the unpairing of the device. This was extremely helpful, because I use it daily. The watch was purchased at this store, and it’s so nice when I needed their help when it mattered, Miguel & Sam rose to the occasion. Great job gentleman!

I liked that they were serious about Covid protection! There was one door to enter and was thermally scanned as you entered if it detected any slight temp they nicely asked to use a thermometer if that detected higher then normal temp you were asked to leave! Koodos for yall

I have been shopping at Best Buy (various stores in several states and online) for 20 + years. I bought my 1st plasma TV from Best Buy and I was hooked on Best Buy ever since. I am also an Elite Member and I frequently visit their online store as well as the B&M stores.We recently purchased $5600 worth of appliances...at Vernon Hills store. Of course they were very happy to make this sale. Went with the 18 month 0% Finance...vs 10% off paying it cash.1st delivery - all four units show up but the refrigerator was damaged and the washer / dryer was hooked up opposite the units that were installed in my home (washer was installed on the right side and dryer to the left side...now, the doors banged against each other when opened)...when my wife tried to ask the installers to switch them back, they simply drove off. The dishwasher was not installed because hard wire vs plug in (even though there was a plug already present under my sink, for the dishwasher). We called the store. Were told a 3rd party installation company was sent (XPO, I was told). We paid for the Geek Squad Service (covers installation and removable of old appliances etc). So...we have no working washer and dryer as they removed my units...as part of their haul away service.2nd delivery - dishwasher is installed but leaked water all over my kitchen floor. The washer and dryer were put back in the right order but the dryer vent wasnt long enough...and the drain hose was not long enough (but mind you, we bought all the accessories for proper installation at the store at the time of purchase). I then go to Home Depot and buy the parts needed and I install the washer and dryer and put them back...they were heavy. Refrigerator - well, no damage when unboxed from the truck...but, while they were bringing it into my house, they dinged the doors against my staircase...now, its no longer in new condition.3rd delivery...banged up doors to the refrigerator are replaced...but the dishwasher had visible damages.4th delivery...dishwasher is installed.Each visit, they took away things like ice/water line to my refrigerator. I had to buy extra parts.They did give $200 credit and credit for the washer and dryer parts. But you know, calling Best Buy Customer service was a nightmare with long wait times. And calling the store was hit or miss. We just felt like we were all alone. I bought these from Best Buy. I did not hire the installers separately. What is the point of having the Geek Squad service if they dont even come out to install?Overall, the worst experience of buying anything from anyone. I am going to think twice before coming back to Best Buy. We felt betrayed and we felt alone for almost a month...trying to get these installed.Through it all, I thought, I want to pay cash for this and be done with Best Buy…but nope, they couldn’t even do this one simple thing for me. Could have returned everything and re-bought it all with the option to pay for it cash and save 10%? With all that we endured, you’d think they make this right for us.Be careful before you buy from here.

When did Best Buy add a bouncer at the entrance?! I was stopped upon entering and was asked what I was looking for. I wasnt sure if the large guy was there to bounce me if I said just browsing or had something specific. I had something specific so I guess that was ok. What an odd experience.

We notified a staff member at the door our purpose for coming. They directed us to where we would find what were looking for. Once we arrived at the department, 3 staff stood around talking and no one asked us if we needed help.We were looking at a specific item for about 10 minutes when another customer arrived. The customer was just across the aisle we were in and they were promptly helped and we still werent offered assistance.We went to customer service to complain and customer service rep blamed us for not interrupting the 3 staff.

I rarely ever go here. Every once in a while I forget why, so I go back. Ive been shopping at Best Buy (more and more infrequently) since 1998. This time was for a cheap temporary cell phone for my son, while the fancy replacement for his lost phone ships to us, and an iphone charging cable. They carry trac phones, but were stocking 1 of about 20 of any prepaid phones. Ok, NM, well get that somewhere else. Where are the iphone charging cables? Over there... Said an associate, nodding his head East, not even pointing. It doesnt help that when I walked in, I was stopped at the front door and asked Whats the purpose of your visit? I tried not to snap back Im shopping. But frankly, it was like I had crossed in to East Berlin. On the way out my son asked me if I felt like we were just interrupting everyone that worked there, and they couldnt wait for us to leave. Yes, yes it did.

Terrible. The employees seem nice but when trying to buy items and use the price match offer that Best Buy has, employees attitude changes. The regulations in place for price is outrageous having to have everything to the spot, for example using Kohls the exact item is sold there but because it does not have the brand name in listing you cant price match. Employees are nice such as customer service but floor employees are rude and wanting to get rid of you as soon as you come up to them.

I would like to share my experience of today at the store. We walked in looking for a laptop for my sister, David helped her out so much. He went through with her about all the options she had (we had a budget). He took the time to explain all the pros and cons about every single option. If Im not mistaken his shift was about to end when we walked in. Yet he stayed until she decided which computer she wanted. I come to this store all of the time, I will for sure look for him if I ever need help with something. Thank you David for making sure we made the right decision and for your help.

Fantastic customer education concerning televisions. This was on the floor not in the magnolia room. My only complaint is that I cant stand it when they block you off while entering to ask where in the store you are going. Im sure they are told to do that but theres hardly anyone in the store. Just me I guess but this still divers me nuts.

Abundant merchandise in stock. Ordering online for pick up at the store went smoother than I expected. The sales staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Geek Squad technicians were the most helpful of all, showing patience and the ability to explain in simple terms, to a technologically challenged user, the finer points of my new laptop. Subscribing to a Tech Support plan is one of my best decisions.

This is definitely a great store. There is a large variety of product here. There’s a good amount of workers so there’s always people to help. Different people know a lot about certain things so if one person doesn’t know how to properly answer your questions and/or properly give you specific information about different products that you’re trying to choose between, they know who to call over to give you the proper information to help you choose. Workers seem to know the layout pretty well so if you go in looking for something they can point you in the right direction. The place is very clean and organized.

Not coming back to this store!!! Guy, who was helping me had zero knowledge about the product and the accessories that come with it. I went to a second person, who was just pretending to help. He went on to look for a product, I wanted and never came back. Later I saw him talking and laughing with his coworkers, while I was looking for the product on my own. It looks like most of the employees there shouldnt work there. Get a decent staff that actually care!!

Came in today with the intentions of buying a pair of beats headphones, and 4 speakers for my car. None of the displays were working so I couldnt test anything out. I repeatedly told the the guys helping us that I ONLY want speakers and they were trying to push a whole sound system on me. Neither of them were listening and were just talking to my boyfriend about MY car because he was more in to the idea of putting a whole sound system in. At the end of the day, its my car and because of all this I left spending $0. I dont appreciate being ignored when it comes to me purchasing something for my car. I was fine spending $600 on headphones and speakers but Im not trying to drop $2k. So Ill take my money elsewhere. Tech and audio stores are all over and I can get beats anywhere.
