Such an amazing place to get car repairs done, I’ve been that last few times for my car and they’re always so nice and informative with what needs to be done. They always inspect and let you know ahead of time what needs to be done, and they also give you an estimated price which I like as well. I’m going to miss this place when I move but if I ever come back down this is the place I’d go to in a heartbeat

My car was in dire need of tires. Because of a wonderful experience that my son had with Car Doc on the Island, I decided to go talk to them about the tires. They are very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. They advised me on what tires would work best on my car (not the most expensive), ordered the tires, arranged for installation, balancing and alignment. On the day of my appointment to have the work done, they came over and picked my car up and brought it back when it was done. You couldn’t ask for better service than that! It is difficult finding a trustworthy mechanic these days, and I am so glad that I found Car Doc. I have an older Toyota that desperately needed servicing, and my experience was a very positive one. They explained everything that was needed, and provided me with an estimate considerably lower than the Toyota dealership. Service was fast and the staff was incredible. Our 2012 Mini Countryman was in need of a new headlight - were new to the area (Venice) and the closest Mini Dealership wasnt convenient so we took a chance on Car Doc - On the Island. We arrived without an appointment, Mike, the owner, confirmed it was only a bulb, but he had to get the part from Ft. Myers which would take a few hours for the part to arrive which would have been close to or after closing. We said we could come back the next day so not to have him wait on us - his response was no worries. Ill stay as long as it take. Mike not only provided a great service, hes also a very likable man. Hopefully, we wont be in need of his services anytime soon but he will definately being going back to Car Doc!!

Just moved here from Ohio and needed my brakes changed. The reviews were great at this auto repair shop so I decided to give it a try and my experience was great!! They were able to fix my car in a just a few hours, communicated how much everything would cost before work was done and everyone was very polite. Highly recommend this location!!

An honest mechanic, no kidding ! I had my car towed to a dealership service dept.,they said I needed a new battery and an alternator. I just bought a new battery so I was suspicious, so I took it to Car Doc they found the problem and it did not need a new battery or alternator. The dealership service dept.wanted to charge me $865 and that would not have fixed the problem! Car Doc on the Island charged me $148 and my problem was solved, Dont go to dealership service departments, they are on commission to sell you as much as possible.

Really helpful people! Will tell you what you need fixed but also tells you if you dont need something done instead of just grabbing your money.

Mike and Ana and crew truly only do 5 star work and provide 5 star service!! I have never been to another mechanic that is more competent, fair, and honest. Had my catalytic converter replaced, but soon after had a minor gasket issue that was related and Mike took care of it right away. Friendly across the entire staff, knowledgeable, on-time, and priced fairly. Dropped my MINI off at 8:15a, got a call with a detailed explanation of necessary service/repair with a price, and just picked up the car at 3:30p, ready to go with new pads and rotors and a couple of sensors. I came to Venice on vacation and after getting here we realized that the A/C in our BMW was not keeping up with the Florida heat. I found this Gem through a simple search and glad I did!! Very nice and honest people. I got a Full A/C service for less than a $100, vacuumed out the system purged any air and added a little additional Freon. Took the time to explain the potential problems and was willing to recheck the system after a week to see how it was holding up. Can not recommend them enough!!

Excellent customer service and very trustworthy! They will suggest what you need to maintain your car in good condition but they are not pushy. I won’t go anywhere else.

If your car has a problem, they will be upfront and honest with you. They also provide a car pickup and drop off service in case you can’t make it to their shop. They are all around the BEST mechanic I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and the are the sweetest people.

I called “ the car doctor” and asked if they can change my breaks and rotators and see if anything else needs to be done on the car. They said yes “bring the car we will get it done today”. Dropped off the car and was told they will call me back. Nobody did. I called the first time they said they have not gotten a chance to look at it yet they will call me back. No call back. I called again after one hour. They still have not got the chance to take check it out Still. I said don’t Worry and don’t do nothing I will come and pick up my car it was almost 4:30pm and they are not going to fix it the same day anyway. They said ok. They called me Back few seconds after I hang up to tell me that the car somehow made it on the lift (I guess because that’s a 30$ fee they needed to make to diagnose the car). Bottom line they Wasted my day, my car was not fixed, and I paid 30$ for them to tell me what I brought the car to get fixed for In the first Place.

Always was given an estimate so I knew around how much everything would cost ahead of time. I was recommended to these guys for their honesty, prices, and great work. Not only did they deliver, but exceeded my expectations. I needed two tires and an oil change. They did a full inspection of the car and was honest about the results. “Most of it looks great. There’s a couple things you’ll need to address later but you’re definitely fine for now. To save money, if you or a friend know how, these other 2 things you can take care of.” They didn’t tell me something was wrong when it wasn’t, the the things they did find they have their honest opinion about, and they did the work well and quickly. I’ve never been to a mechanic I trust until now. Everyone I spoke with were genuinely nice which is also rare. Highly recommend.

This is the best possible place that you can take your car for service!! Occasionally, it may be costly to fix your car, but its worth every penny that you spend with car doc! Both mechanics there, Jeff and Matt not only do their job, but they also make sure that whatever theyre doing is totally correct and they care about what they are doing and they care about the customers!! Also, its always nice to see Anna in the office with her smiling face and if you dont understand something about what theyre doing to your vehicle Mike the other owner will explain it to you on the computer so you understand or will actually take you outside when the car is in the garage and have you look at the car and explain exactly what is it going on!! To begin with Car Doc on the Island is at a great location in Venice! They are knowledgeable, courteous, and very efficient at what they do! My ABS light was on and I needed a diagnostic test. I was impressed by the mechanic (Dylan) first taking my car for drive before running the test. Toni in the office assisted as I was even given a full explanation of the repair while my car was up on the lift. It was great to actually see what was entailed for the repair while Dylan and Toni explained why the back wheel hub/speed sensor needed to be replaced. Im appreciative and grateful for their service and honesty! thank you Car Doc!

I took my 2006 Volvo v70 R in today for a PCV issue . Allan and Jeff did a great job . Professional great value but the work was fantastic . I had anticipated an complicated and expensive job based on the car engine design, but staff came through. I always support local business and this is a gem. The folks at Car Doc were great! Very friendly and professional.Ive been driving alot from Va Bch to Venice in preparation for my move here. I was over due for a regular 3K service and requested an all over evaluation of the state of my car. They advised me of issues they found to be safety concerns. It also appeared some factory maintenance services may not have been performed by my previous service provider. So I called them on the spot and a rep reviewed my entire service history which confirmed what Car Doc had suspected. Car Doc showed me the areas on my car and explained why they suggested these services be done. No sales pressure just wanting to educate me should I decide to proceed with having them completed. Needless to say, it made sense to let Car Doc do the necessary services. My mind is at ease knowing my vehicle is safe. Thank you Car Doc!
