I lack the words to describe the type of outstanding service received. I have owned a vehicle for 60 years and never have I had such complete and knowledgeable service. Everyone treats you like family and explains in great detail what was done to your vehicle. You receive updates on your phone, emails, pictures of diagnosed problems, and frequent updates. You become family and are treated respectfully, especially women. Explanation of your service is important to them so you know exactly the service that has been performed now, and what needs to be done in the future.. I have tried at least 3 other well known auto repair shops in the area, and either they never call me back, give no print out on work attended to, or treat me as if I don’t understand anything.American Import Auto will always have my business and they should have yours. Top of the line in every way.

Took my car to American Import Auto for a second opinion. I was told by another service center I needed a new transmission for $3100. American Import Auto took my car in, test drove it, and did a service of the transmission and that fixed the problem, which was super old transmission fluid. Saves me thousands of dollars and the car runs great. Awesome service center, I just wish I lived in Venice when I have car issues instead of Orlando!

Had a misfire on my F150 King Ranch and it was not drivable. Had it towed in and Kevin took care of everything. We spoke on the phone several times and he always let me know what was going on. Just picked it up today and its running strong!

I find if you can locate a repair facility that has service techs with years of experience, providing quality work, at a reasonable cost, locally, your better off financially letting them repair and maintain your vehicle. In contrast to maintaining a never ending monthly vehicle payment with the inability to fine tune your vehicle ins coverage. BTW, I had the clutch replaced in less than two days on my 2010 Scion XB. Has a 3 year 36k mi warranty. I recommend this shop.

Thought I went in for oil change but more needed and I not prepared for 4 items of work, so I opted for two that day and will reschedule the rest in a couple of weeks.

Had an amazing experience with American Import Auto. We took our 2012 Dodge Journey we just bought in for a complete check and engine light diagnostic check. They came back on time with full report including photos and information. They also went above and beyond by checking if our car was still under warranty for repairs. This saved us over $2,500. We can’t thank the team enough for everything they have done. We wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

I was in Venice last July moving the in-laws out of state. The plan was to rent a U-Haul trailer load it up that afternoon and hit the road the next morning. At the U-Haul rental place we were going through the safety check out procedure and discovered that one of the trailers brake light and turn signal wasnt working. They were confident it wasnt a problem with the trailer. U-Hauls policy was if everything wasnt working they couldnt let it leave the lot.Rocky (at U-Haul) directed me to Jeff at American Import Auto. I was in panic mode because my time table was thrown off and I didnt have time for a vehicle repair. Walking in to the shop a bit frazzled I explained my plight to Jeff. He immediately stopped what he was working on, took my vehicle information and began researching. After a few minutes we walked out to the vehicle and popped open the fuse panel. He pulled out the old fuse, went into the shop, came back with a new one and put it in.Jeff said that should do the trick. I asked him how much I owed him, he said no charge, just have a safe trip home.Due to the fact that I was from out of town and was on a tight schedule Jeff could have taken advantage of the situation, but he didnt! He was professional and demonstrated his heart for customer service. Much thanks to American Import Auto from a grateful Midwesterner.

We brought our vehicle in with multiple system warning lights flashing. After a code readout, it was traced to a transmission issue. Jeff diagnosed the transmission and determined it was an expensive part that failed on the transmission. When presented with a repair estimate of over $1860, we were shocked. He offered to call the Subaru service center and found out that the repair was covered by warranty extension. We took it to Subaru and it was fixed for free. Jeff and the American Import Auto crew displayed great integrity in helping us even if it meant losing the repair.

I drove 15 hours from ohio, found out my truck had a pretty bad oil leak when I got here. I took it to these guys and Jeff, the owner was fantastic. He was upfront and honest about everything and had it fixed the next day. His guys even went above and beyond pressure washing the undercarriage of my truck because the oil had sprayed EVERYWHERE from driving with the leak. Highly recommend American Imports if youre anywhere remotely close to them. Thanks again guys.

We had a 2007 Saturn Ion. The car was driven in downtown Venice during a 4 day rainfall. The car went through a puddle of water, apparently to deep and the engine ceased up. The mileage on the engine was 70,000 miles. We came here and got curtious people and maintenance crew was awesome. We were to get a used engine and it needed a new starter. They were to have it done for us. Friday Sept. 8 by closing. We live in Florida and wanted to evacuate because of Hurrican Irma. We asked if anyway possible we could get it sooner. They worked late Wends. SEPT. 6 AND got the car ready for us Sept. 7 by 3:00pm. We are headed North now to Pa.. Can not Thank EVERYONE there enough for getting it done ahead of schedule for us. Awesome place. I highly recommend them.

Our family was recommended to AIA by our neighbor when moving here and have relied on them for about 20 years. They have seen us through when I was a single working mother with one car and no other drivers - and we had to have a working car all the time - through the kids teenage years of multiple cars. Theyve picked us up, dropped us off, let us leave or pick up after hours, worked to get work done before I had to pick up kids at school. Oh, they ha ve good wifi and snacks as well. I trust them to tell me when something has to be done or can be put off. I live half an hour away now and still come into this shoppe because I trust the Hazeltines. Our family can recommend without hesitation. (and there is a good Thai restaurant across the street)

I had a bad CV axle and was told that this place was honest. Not so. They gave me an estimate for $336. I bought the part at a local parts dealer for $75. My new mechanic installed it for $50. I sat there while he did it and it took him 30 minutes. That is a total of $125. I would have given him $100. That is still only $175 and almost half of what this place wants. They have been in business for a long time and know exactly how long it takes to replace a CV axle. These people are crooks! Get a second or a third opinion.

I was in Nokomis/Venice when I started having major car issues (engine failed to accelerate, lost brakes, sensors out, etc). I called American Import Auto in Venice and they were so helpful and friendly. I was able to bring my Jeep in the same afternoon I called, and they began working right away. Knowing nothing about cars (and being out of state with just my 4 year old) I could have easily been taken advantage of. American Import Auto was honest, trustworthy, provided me all the facts and information I needed to make the best and safest decision, and at a price car lower than both my dealership and hometown mechanic! I felt very good about the work they did on my vehicle, as well as their honesty regarding my car and our safety. I would recommend AIA in Venice to anyone needing a simple oil change to major repair work!
