Its great having a store like this located conveniently here in the city. Theyve got a great selection of supplies needed for keeping chickens, and even a good selection of dog food.In the spring they have a great selection of vegetable and plant starts, that frankly beats a lot of the local nurseries.I removed a star because they arent complying with the mask mandate. No one that works there wears one, and they dont require customers to wear one. They have a sign on their front door proclaiming the specious argument that they are assuming if you dont wear a mask then you must have a medical exemption (sign is similar to the picture I posted, but that isnt a picture of their sign.)I personally feel like if a business wants to do that then that should be their right. But customers should know that before showing up. I think these are good people, we just have a difference of opinion about a scientific topic thats been politicized for very, very stupid reasons.

Wholesome local business. Feed, seed, garden tools... run by real people! In get my cat litter here and when I rescued a duck, they had everything I needed.

Closing down. We went the last day they were open. not much there but the ladies working were very nice. I wish them well. Best endeavors 😊

I really resent the person who said if your of color, dont go. Why do people think anything has to do with that. I have been going there for at least 15 years, but of course Im white. I probably am being treated better. STOP THAT!! You are a person, not a COLORED person. these people do not care what color you are---just what kind of customer you are. Clean, well stocked feed store. They carry most every necessity for the backyard bird fancier to the small farm keeper. Lots of bulk selections to save some $ while keeping your flock happy. Helpful and knowledgeable staff who were willing to answer all my questions.

We just had a cord of wood delivered on Saturday from Thrifty Feed and Garden. EXCELLENT customer service ordering and dropping off. This is our first experience with this store and are very pleased. Will definitely order through them again. Great product as well.

If you are person of colour don’t go. Very negative vibe. I went to pick up a U-Haul and the guy was cold, looked me up and down with a questioning eye as if to ask why I needed their precious truck.This bigoted individual further audibly questioned why I needed the truck and for how long. Despite the fact that I had in their requested the truck for 5 hours. I informed this individual that I needed the truck for no more than 30 minutes in order to take two old coaches from my house to Goodwill.This wonderful person then needlessly asked me if I had a hitch on my vehicle. I promptly told him no.This was unnecessary. I was there to make a business transaction. I provide money, they provide truck.When it came to checking out the vehicle I advised him of the t damage I was noticing. He then said it is fine and when I came back I could return the keys in the drop box almost as if to indicate he did not wish to deal with me further.

Have shopped for dog food ad well as bird and squirrel food. They have excellent products at excellent prices. They staff is very friendly

I went here for some small stakes for plants and they only had large ones. Also, the guy at the counter wasn’t wearing a mask whatsoever...

I love thrifty feed! I have a flock of 25 chickens, which puts me at the feed store 1-2 times per month. I also bough my organic seeds and seed starter from them this year (and a few more chicks!) The feed they sell is high quality at a fair price. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. This as been my first year with chickens and they have been very patient with my green self!

I was caring for my sons animals while the family was on vacation. When I ran out of everything for the chickens I had to figure out what they needed and where to get it. The family at Thrifty was extremely helpful helping me to figure out what type of food, corn, hay I needed just by asking a few questions. All the people working there were helping each other and there was a new baby being cared for that seemed to be just another family member. I dont know if they were actually related but they were all a part of helping one another and their customers. My son was surprised at how little I spent as well. They even carried it out to my car for me. Im just a city girl who moved here from L.A. but if I ever wanted to raise farm animals, this is where I would start.

The people are well educated on their products, and friendly. Prices are much lower than what my family is used to paying for our dog food, and best of all they carry it out and load it in the car for you. This is especially nice if you are getting several bags.I bought my firewood from them, they carry a full line of forestry products. I even got some alder firewood for smoking, DIRT CHEAP, and super high quality.I would, and have, recomended them to friends and family.

Awesome place and really good prices. They also have excellent knowledge on topics from home care to live stock.

For essentials, this place is awesome to have in the neighborhood. The staff are awesome, the feed is all fairly priced, and they have pet supplies as well.
