This place is amazing and I don’t know why it has 3.7 stars. From the office lady (Jessica) and to our truck driver David who delivered our minus rock, they’re all so sweet. And what a plus that they’re all about supporting our veterans. We will be using them again and again in the future. Thank you city bark and thank you David for being such a pro at dropping loads off!! Makes our big projects a little less daunting!
I had 4 yards deliver with no issues at all great company and I highly recommend them!!!
I brought in a pickup full of scrap medal. The staff was friendly and very helpful with my load. I highly recommend their recycle services.
I had 4 yards of mason sand delivered on time with fair pricing and great service by the delivery person. Other suppliers in the area were out of mason sand for a few weeks so I went with City Bark when I wouldnt otherwise and they came through. Thank you.
Location is not bad depending on the neighborhood you live in. I do feel bad for WINCO on those really hot days the manufacturing of some of the products attracts flies. The bark dust and rock products are good quality. The compost Im not a fan of has a lot of larger stuff in it that I wasnt very cool with.
Great place. Takes care of those that served the nation and community. Owner was a US Navy Seabee. I was also. Members of a small community of hard working sailors. We build We fight . If only those that wrote negative reviews because of their blind hate and bigotry knew about the Seabees and who we are they would remove their hateful comments.
Always have what you need and at good prices. Quick service too
Staff was helpful, and it was easy to drop off my yard debris. I appreciate that they publicly support our heroes. I will be a loyal customer!
They honor vets by taking yard waste and wood scrap for free. Saved me quite a bit in dump fees. I buy all my landscaping products from them.
These are awesome people who care about their clientele and work hard to keep their business Running and Looking great!
DO NOT BUY FIREWOOD HERE!!!I called in advance to ask if their wood was seasoned and dry and the lady in the office told me yes. After buying a yard, I found that it was too wet to burn. I went back and explained and the gal in the office assured me that the wood was kept dry undercover, so i thought maybe it was a fluke or just a few pieces so I bought another scoop, SHAME ON ME. It also was too wet to burn, so I started splitting it, and half of it smelled and felt like fresh cut wood! My axe kept getting stuck in the wood and squeezing water out of it. Either the office lady lied to my face, or her boss is lying to her. Either way, someone is lying cause this wood is good for putting fires out. Save yourself the trouble and shop around.
Like the website and pricing. I spoke with the girl who answered the phone for delivery and she has horrible phone etiquette and has zero customer service skills. She talked like a half asleep, angry 13-year-old girl who hates her job/chores.
Good products and veterans dump yard debris for freeThank you very much my husband is a veteran we appreciate it very very much
Good place to take Garden debris for recycling.
Hate flags flying out front should tell you all you need to know about the business. Blue live do not exist.
First time is a little confusing but once you know what to do is good.
The man who helps out with scrap metal is extremely rude and will openly complain about you to your face. We have stopped by before as he was about to go on break, which he complained about, and so when he was nowhere to be found today we went to the office to check. We thought he might be on a break again which was totally ok, found he he had gone to the bathroom. When we pulled back around we told him we didn’t have much stuff and he openly complained saying “it’s always the people who only have about $5 in scrap that are in such a big hurry” and was generally rude and short. We were not in a hurry but since no one was in the back we wanted to make sure that someone was there at all. Not only this but the whole perimeter of the place was covered in at least a dozen or more blue lives matter flags until recently.
I got ripped off. Bought a yard of gravel and they said it’s no problem to take half the gravel the day of purchase and the other half when needed. Showed up today and they refused to give me my other half or refund my money for it. Said it was not picked up within the “allotted time of 30 days.” I looked at my receipt and apparently it had been 35 days. I don’t think it’s legal for them to keep money for something not received. I’m going to find out.
Great place to do business.
Recycled metal here and dumped yard debris. Love the spirit!Great place! Highly recommend.
They have what youre looking for.
I ordered river rock late yesterday afternoon and it was delivered this morning. The driver was very polite and carefully dropped the rock so it didnt scatter everywhere. I would definitely recommend City Bark.
Love this place good deals
Thank you for supporting our troops and veterans by offering free yard waste disposal!
Helpful, friendly and good location. Good hours of operation and veterans can dump yard debris at no cost! Great job city bark!
Easy to get in and get rid of my yard debris. Prices are very reasonable.
Great customer service here. I went in to the office to look at the different materials they have for sale (gravel, sand, etc) and determined that crushed concrete was the way to go for my patio. The load arrived as scheduled but was composed of significantly larger pieces than were shown as samples in the office. I mentioned this to the delivery driver, Brent, who made a call, and City Bark & Recycling brought me an additional two yards of material that would work for my project, free of charge. I will definitely be coming back here in the future when I order more gravel, more wood chips, and more sand for my other projects. Thanks again guys.
MISLEAD AND PRICE GOUGED. I do not recommend taking anything except green (grass and leaves) to this place. I called multiple times before we came here to confirm prices to bring pine branches from freshly fallen trees and was told by multiple people that it would be $11 a yard (50% of the usually $22 due to a special) or $7 if it was just chips. When my husband arrived with around 6 yards of branches he was told something completely different and charged $157.I am leaving a 1 star review because when I called to speak to the manager about the discrepancy they simply told me that we were charged the correct price and we had been mislead into thinking it was going to cost the yard debris price. They made zero effort to account for the lack of training (managers job) and the fact that multiple people quoted us this price. They didnt apologize for their disorganized customer service, this place is profiting off of it so beware. Quoted price cant be trusted.
Free Christmas tree dropoff! Thanks guys! 5 stars if the listed hours were correct. I showed up before 6 and they were already closed.
Bought 20 yards of dark fine bark. Very courteous staff. The driver called ahead so I would have my spot ready. He placed it exactly where I needed it, no overflowing off tarps or on the gravel. Dark fines were a very nice clean product. I will use them again!
Fair prices and good products
I did have an unpleasant experience once when we did not make a transaction. We got there and their doors were open. We went in a man told us they were close. Now i don’t mind turning around, your close, I understand. What I cant stand is the authority that you let off and tell us to turn around and go to Portland. Portland? Why would I waste gas and go to Portland. Instead of been humble and helpful his aura felt very macho like and unpleasant. Now when going in to purchase there is only young lady in the front that’s nice, they do have some variety and good price. Despite that horrible encounter the daily staff is way nicer. Be the judge for yourself.
Best place to take your yard debris.
Ive been stopping in here and there recently getting sand, gravel, 3-way and mulch for a bunch of projects we have going on the yard. My experiences have been great! The woman at the desk is always nice, the price for yards and 1/2 yards is great and the product has been good as well. Ill always come here when I need yard materials.
Great place to do business
Not sure why the city gave you guys so discomfort last summer and I hope you all stuck it to them. Always super nice gals and the boys take care of our loads. Always appreciate all the Hard Work for your community!😎♻️🌎
Good price and easy place to sell your scrap metal or pick up landscaping rock products
Love this place and has good prices whether you are buying or selling! Girls at the desk up front very friendly and helpful!
Lied to me about delivery coming out right now. Charged me $130 dollars for a tiny pile of dirt. Very dissatisfied. I would pack bags in my car before I ever used this service again. If I could add a photo to show how pathetic and outrageous the charge for the tiny pile of dirt I received I would. Go elsewhere!. $50 dollar charge and was going to try and charge me another $50 on top of that. Outrageous!!
Nice staff
They accepted an old treadmill no problem and gave me cash for it. Better than paying the dump cash to take it. Looks like they have some good dirt and rocks on hand as well.
Nasty and overpriced firewood, was charged $102 ($95 + tax) for a 1/3 chord of firewood. When I called I spoke to a woman who said by who I was told it was seasoned and dry. It was anything but dry. It was wet and muddy like it had been scooped from a field. I couldnt see that since it was wrapped with plastic. The only reason I would rate a one was the guy who loaded it into my truck was courteous.I really needed a little more firewood to get through this season so I had to settle for this. Never again. I can usually can get a 1/2 chord delivered for $100 if I shop around.
We purchased some gravel to be delivered. Price was reasonable and delivery was friendly and prompt!
The cashier in the front kinda cute but her cuteness is quickly overruled by her extreme rudeness and big time lack of customer service skills. She must be the owners kid or something!! The loader guy is awesome the prices are pretty good and the guys that receive the scrap metal are very friendly and do their job well . 5 stars to all of them except for the cashier. Give her the boot.
This is an honest and very fair business. If that means anything to you then I highly recommend.
Do not buy their 3-way soil mix. I purchased 1/2 yard for planters (mostly sand and wood debris) Was so disappointed, nothing grew. :(
I ordered a yard of cedar chips today, they delivered within a half hour. When I started to move it to play area I found quite a bit of garden soil in it, made about a third of it unusable for kids play yard. I gave them a call and they gave me another load within 15 minutes. Thanks for the terrific service city bark!
Decent selection of materials. Bought 4 yards of 3/4 crushed gravel for a rental home on Burton. It was reasonably priced and easy to have delivered.
Paid 50$ for a full yard of cedar and And it only filled my wheelbarrow up 4 times that’s like 1/3 of a yard and I feel ripped off tell the guy running the bucket to use a bigger bucket or scoop it twice
For the last three times going to this place Im getting a very poor customer service. I dont pay them to give me attitude but to provide service.
Due to a communication error by the City Bark, the dropbox delivered would not accommodate the purpose for which it was ordered. Contacted the company the same day and was promised a full refund. After reviewing my visa statement, I noticed that I was not given a full refund as promised. The amount returned was short $200. Contacted agent at the business who told me I was out of luck. She claims that I was clearly informed that I would not be refunded the full amount. This is simply not true. I am very disappointed, I feel like Ive been lied to, taken advantage of and stolen from.
Surprisingly diverse services including scrap metal purchase. The downside is that they may take some liberty with the type of metal. For example a scrap electric lawn mower they paid the rate for tin rather than copper or steel.
No wait, in & out. Took longest for fella to check every single brass item tho, even ones clearly brass. Prices disappointing too, we did much better elsewhere.
Fast service people are experienced and know what theyre doing and they do scrap metal too
Great business. Stand up to their services.
Great place to drop off large metal items you don’t know how to get rid of. Pricing on is middle of the road
Do not buy their garden soil. Two years in a row and nothing grew in it. Mostly sand. Bought at the competitors and it was amazing and 10$ less per yard
Discount to military and vets
I got there just before 6 PM. Two guys were getting ready to close the gate. They wouldnt let me in. I begged them to let me dump because I had driven all the way from Ridgefield and I need my trailer in the morning. They said I couldnt dump because she had already counted the till. Why are they counting the till before 6 PM? Are they open until 6 PM, or not? It looked to me like the employees were a little too anxious to get off work. It was a huge inconvenience and expense for me.
We own a small tree business. Went in this morning with our dump truck (3 1/4 yards) full of 90% chips with a few branches on top. They measured and I told both cashier and the guy measuring what was in there. She told me $77.00 dollars!! We left and went to H & H, where we were charged $17.00 for the same load!! If you are a small tree or landscape (or large for that matter) business you cant pay City Bark prices and hope to stay in business. Spoke with management there and was basically told Thats just the way it is. Ridiculous!!
Great place to get bark and take your scrap metal.
Low prices fast in and out!
Its ok
Expensive place to dump organic waste at but they have a beautiful supply of Dark Hemlock that makes great mulch and is reasonable at $34 yd.
Nice gentlemen retired someone else bought it.
Great job on graveling my drive way John was very professional and my drive way looks awesome thanks again for a great job
Just got 5 years of 3 way compost delivered. It smells like a garbage dump. It looks great but the smell! I dont want to put my hands in it. The yard boss was not helpful at all. If this is just yard debris, bark and sand why does it smell like trash?
Lots of debree mixed with my soil deliver and lots of dust mix in rock delivery. Girl not to friendly she has eye lashes as big as spiders think they could be a little more prifessional
Super easy, no hassle, honest prices and a great staff make this the number 1 choice to scrap or recycle all kinds of materials.
This business i s q complete rip -off . Do not go there under any circumstance ! They tried to charge me $ 18 for a small allow it of yard debris and said that was The minimum charge . So they could have charged me for 1/3 a yard and made six dollars instead they got zero! IHope they go out of business soon .
Very helpful very fast at getting you in and out
Well organized. affordable
The guy that helped us was super nice
Not sure why the price increase but I was charged $18 for 3 bags of leafs.
Great selection and will sell in 5 gal buckets

Excellent customer service.
Its cheaper to dump at CRC.
The manager of the place kicked me off the property for something that I never did! I will NEVER GO BACK!
