Excellent customer service... The gentleman customized my cake in ten minutes... It was the best and efficient service I ever received at Carvel... Definitely returning there to buy my sons and babys birthday cakes...

Ice cream is great, but each time I patronize this location, a middle-aged looking man who appears to be the manager looks at me as if he suspects I’m trash. What this is based off, I don’t know because I’m actually an educated professional who works in the criminal justice system. Today, I went to buy flying saucers, most of which did not have prices on the packaging. I inquired about the prices, and this guy, very nastily pointed out the one package that actually had a price tag. This was a larger package, that I was not interested in buying. Then he said, “they all have prices” which they did not. I get weird vibes from him, like he has a problem with me based off my appearance. I will skip this location in the future, and go to South Orange, NJ from now on. I’ve included photos from all angles to show there is no price tag on the package.

Love Carvel ice cream but the staff is very rude. Was just there and the two female employees never even acknowledged my presence. I patiently waited 7 minutes and was ignored the entire time, not a “one moment be with you in a moment” or even a “hello”. I walked out, no one said a word. Will never patronize this location again!!

Ice cream is great! But the 2 young ladies that were working there have the worst attitudes. Very unprofessional and could care less about customer service.

Wish I could give it a zero. The person who took my order had an attitude, gave me 2 tiny scoops for a cone bowl. If you dont like your job quit and stop with the lackluster service.

We got a cake today for our neighbors birthday the cake was wonderful and moist the hand writing was also very lovely we enjoyed the cake. I would definitely go to this carvel it is the best on I’ve been to. The place is very clean and very protective they wear masks and have a screen. Next time I am going to get ice cream or a cake I am definitely giving a tip. Happy new year carvel wonderful service. :))

If I could give -5 strar I would. This worker here really unprofessional. The minute I walked with my family, instead of saying how may I help you. He approach to my wife and said. WHAT DO YOU WANT. Then my wife asks for a mango ice cream and want it to try it out and he said in a bad attitude. YOU Cant Try it out Here go outside. Then I had to get involved and told him how come she was going to buy something without trying it out. Anyway maybe he had a bad day or his wife cheated on him or whatever happened to him, but he needs to be professional all the time. Also he needs to cover his nose.

Currently serving at most 5 people in the lobby. They have 2 tables of outdoor seating along with customer parking. They accept mobile payments (apple pay, Samsung pay, Google pay). Workers were prepared to answer any questions we had regarding ingredients and they served our food in a fast and timely manner.

Worst Experience Ever ! So I understand during this pandemic essential workers are frustrated and want to be home with their families to keep safe. Although this is so I must say that everyone has a job to do. It’s really about being professional. My boyfriend & I stopped at this location last night at exactly 943pm to get a late night snack . At this location online & at the actual store front closing time says 10pm . I’m aware that the store must be cleaned and sometimes operations shut down 15 to 20 minutes prior, but if this is how this particular store operates, there should be a sign on the door letting your valued customers know the operation shuts down ten minutes prior to closing time. Once we arrived not only was the front door locked but the employees were not even courtesy enough to come to the glass window or the door to let us know they were closed / closing . They made no eye contact or gesture to acknowledge my boyfriend standing there . So unprofessional . A previous customer was sitting outside in the front area and told me it was closed, she doesn’t know if they would let me in although it wasn’t 10pm yet . The employees that work at this specific location need to be retrained on customer service & professionalism. Thanks to my boyfriend for not giving up on our late night snack, he was able to locate Dairy Queen’s down the road which served us expeditiously!!!!

The only reason I’m giving them a 2 star rating is because they used to be really good. My boyfriend and I would come here all the time after class because the milkshakes were good. Now, it’s disgusting. It’s so watered down and the ice cream melts as soon as you get it. The customer service is good, just the ice cream isn’t good anymore.

I guess 70-something years in business mean a lot because those people definitely know what they are doing. Cakes and ice cream are offered in different flavours and all are affordable. I guess I am just not a kid any more to be impressed by colours, coconut sprinkles, wrap etc. For me important are: 1. taste; 2. price; 3. service.Well done guys!

Went to get ice cream like a couple days ago and a women with short hair and black glasses was very rude, if you don’t work then don’t show up. Worst experience ever. Not only that but she treated another one of my family members the same not to long ago. Always in a rush and doesn’t want to help out a customer.

I’m writing this to complain. Today April 3,2019 I went to the store to purchase an ice cream cake. They young lady (African American) they don’t have name tags so Only way I could identify the exact worker. But she spelt the birthday person’s name wrong. The name was Stephanie. She asked me 3 times and still spelled it wrong . She Scraped it off with a spoon and finally fixed the spelling but it was still clear that the cake was messed up. I asked to have it fixed she caught an attitude. I understand people make mistakes I wasn’t mad I just wanted it fixed. I didn’t appreciate feeling like I was bothering her because I wanted my cake I’m paying for a certain way. This is the 3rd time I’ve had an issue with ice cream cakes from this location. I’ve lived in Union my whole life 25 years, I’ve always used this location. Now I dont want to return. I work in corporate myself and treating customers in that matter is unacceptable and unprofessional. Please correct this young lady, help her understand how to treat customers better.At 7:39pm I received a call from a blocked number from the manager Richard. He called To “address”the problem above. He advised that he spoke to the worker and he apologized on her behalf. Then stated I was a valued customer and offered $5 dollars off any ice cream cake the next time I visit. I said thank you but wait it gets better.. he asked me to write this under my original review to show how Carvel in union honors their customers, with five dollars off !!! Thanks I really feel valued ...

Ordered a birthday cake for my son, over the phone. Had to spell the name 3 times before the gentleman got it right. Not convinced, I called again. The second phone call was with a girl who confirmed that my email with Image for the cake had arrived. Go to pick up the cake. They present me with the image of a child on a cake, and an intellegibile name. I have no clue who the little boy on the cake was nor what the name was. What I did know was that.. The cake order had been messed up. The cake was taken to the back and I was simply told that they would need 5 to ten minutes. After waiting 20 minutes, I asked if they could tell me what the issue was. The girl had been trying to print out the correct image to place on the cake but couldnt figure out how. Waited one hour before they finally decided to call the manager from home. The women came, fixed the cake. The image was still to small and they just added a double frame of icing. I was told by the cashier that the manager offered a $10 discount for my trouble...I Ieave to take the cake home. Check the receipt and realize she only gave me a $5 discount. Call again. Same girl tells me sorry the manager told me that $10 off was to much, call again tomorrow after 5”. Are they kidding me?
