We love this store everything is fresh. The meat is delicious and the tortillas are amazing. Veggies are clean NO FLIES like other places. The bakery always makes our cakes and they are so beautiful and decadent. The staff all around are very helpful and perfect.

Very clean and well organized store. Really nice produce section with a great selection. Great bakery as well. Their tortillas made in their tortilleria looked good, and it was nice that they had soles and huaraches as well. I will definitely get some next time I visit.

Delicious counter service meals of all sorts. Very clean and well organized. Lost a star due to long wait at check-out: only one open register with many customers waiting.

I love this place because its so good the smell is I cant tell where its coming from but so good also its kind of like if it was actually the United States version of a Food City which doesnt make sense because Food City is United States but Food City feels like Mexico but it is not Mexico it is United States I would recommend it

They wrote “You Buy, we Fry” on the meat department?! Always out of fry. Either machine not working or something else. I went there everyday for 7 days and always out if order. They said “call us before coming”!! Never answer. If you want to fry thenI do not recommend you to go there. Save tour time.

And white folks or you non spanish speaking Tucson Friends ...its early but we finally got it together in Tucson, a first class Grocery store that caters to those of us that miss San Antonio, Houston or any other major city with a large Mexico population or those that love real or authentic Mexican food. Cardenas has finally arrived here in grand fashion.. yes I drove 16 miles to get there because I chose to dwell in the heights of Dove Mt. But know these mi raza, I celebrate you today if you live on the south side of Tucson!! The smells, the music, the environment are inviting to all but for me it felt like coming home to HEB...only my texas friends will understand that one... look Cardenas did a friend of mine a bit rough recently but damn it if this is how they make it up to me than I am willing to hear both sides....lol enjoy and support!!

This place is amazing! It has to be the cleanest grocery store Ive ever been in. The produce is fantastic. They keep all the bins stocked during the day so you dont have to just pick the leftovers. A fish and meat counter with everything that you can imagine. In store bakery,tortilleria, and restaurant for food to go. It puts Frys and Safe way to shame for quality and price.

Really good produce, very courteous personnel, super clean and very good prices. I hardly ever give 5 stars, but this place deserves it!

First time here and gotta say, this an an awesome store, much better than Food City, great prices, awesome produce, great pan dulce, and pretty much everything we needed. Will definitely be coming to this place regularly for my weekly groceries!

I shop here I also buy hot foods I’m sick and tired of being treated so awful in this store I will not come back! I stand in a long line to buy tacos only to get to the front for them to be out of the kind I want! They were telling people in Spanish only they were out of the meat apparently but I do not speak or understand Spanish!! Not the first time I’ve had an incident at this store. I’ve called corporate but nothing changes the employees are still rude! I’m tired of explaining to my kid’s that this is not the way to treat people! They ask why they treat us the way they do!!!

This is the 2nd time we have been to this location. Rude customer service! No staff to make what you offered. No cook! Cant speak English. Took the next customer that spoke Spanish. We walked out! This store has no respect! This is NOT Tucson! The mom and pop places are better and welcoming. We walked out! Stay away from this place! Get it together! Respect our community and cultures that Tucsoans have worked so hard to achieve! We will never return!

Its a nice. Different products from other stores in Tucson. Yet the prices on regular day products were a bit high for me. I may just shop there when I need a specific ingredient or product.

I have seen what a large Cardenas Market looks like in California and it was a bit disillusioned seeing how small this location is. However, I prefer this to nothing at all. The prices seem reasonable though not as low as nearby establishments (El Super, Food City, Frys) however I am confident that theyll be able to adjust prices as time passes.Please be courteous to workers as they all appeared to struggle with checkout and being able to identify where certain items were located. Management is super vigilant as to something... but I guess it just has to do with being the first week of opening.They have really good smelling food ready to eat and take out. Yellow tortilla is always a solid choice.

Horrible experience! The clerk who helped me has no clue what customer service is all about! And from what I could understand he might even be some kind of manager! But, all around, the staff wasnt the nicest to any of the other customers shopping while I was there! I was bounced from one store to another trying to buy a part & ended-up having to visit 3 in order to do so! Could have saved myself some trips, Time and gas, had there been more competence from the employees!

I ordered food the food wasnt the best and paid more for not alot of food

Unusually dont post reviews but today made realize that if nothing is said the outcome of.my experience will be the same.Each week that i visit this store i have to check my receipt due to over charging.Last week i was charged 59cent per lbs on a seedless watermelon and cost me $9.00 and some change. Today i was charged $2.99 for a crv and i didnt by any drinks. Also was $0.10 extra.cents.

The store is clean and not too crowded. Fresh guacamole tortillas and salsa. Ate at the comida. Fantastic fresh made food. I ate too much. The ladies room was clean.

Store is nice and clean. Lots of stuff. Only complaint is the chicken tacos I ordered were very dry. Almost all of the food in the kitchen looked dry. I took some asada/carnita tacos home to my family and they all said it was dry too.. They should keep covers on the food so that doesnt happen. The food is just sitting there in the open so the air absorbs the foods moisture

Great store, had lunch there and then shopped. The Store is very clean and staff is friendly. Lots of great deals and foods that are hard to find in regular grocery stores in town. I dont think they except EBT, downfall because they have great deals that would benefit the incomes of the neighborhood.

This place is good, some things are a bit pricey, but my husband and I like the food from the cocina. Good food like the birria ramen.

This happened twice, I was there in the morning around 10 am and I could not find the veggies that I needed. They where out of fish and other Products that I was looking for. when I asked they all said the same thing that they where waiting for the 🚚 truck.( dont know if they are coming from there whse on Guasti Rd in Ontario) But anyways . I ended up going to another local store. I use to shop at Cardenas in California so I know they have good fresh meats and vegetables etc But this store is not like the ones I use to shop at in Ontario, Pomona and Fontana.

I love this store but i have been calling for 3 days straight to change a time of a cake pickup and absolutely no one will answer.

The veggies and fruits are high quality, really big and vibrant colors, clean store and cant beat the prices!

Called to talk to someone in the Meat Department but no one answered the phone I called 3 times It rang for 3 minutes then goes to fast busy also when I tried calling the store the phone just rang for 4 minutes till I hung up and tried calling back. Not good for a business not sure if I be shopping there

Is nice and clean but this morning i was not happy with the menudo special it was full of hominy and not meat !! so i cancel the order and got some juanitas menudo for the same price and it was very good!! It is my third bad experience in the food department but this time i did something about it!!

Pretty surprised with the store huge store with lots of items. I was very surprised with how clean it is its actually one of the most cleanest grocery stores Ive been to. Very organized. its very easy to find the items that youre looking for everythings organized and categorized by name. And it also has very cool food sections where you can actually buy food to go and Cafe to go which was really neat cuz its not very common to see that in grocery stores. Overall a great experience will definitely be coming again 😊

Great food for a Sunday and at good prices

While they have a nice meat counter, allowing shoppers to choose cuts they like, their ability to answer the business phone is seriously impaired. I have been calling several times per day for a couple of weeks, letting the phone ring until it disconnects, without once speaking to a soul. This takes their overall score WAY DOWN from the 5 stars they would have earned otherwise.

The store is always very clean and definately caters to hispanics. Everything looks fresh in the veg dept, meat, and deli. Some prices are steap.

I like this place and the selections they have, similar to food city but in my opinion better. Prices are a little higher than kroger stores but cant blame them.

I grew up in Ontario and would go to the Euclid and Holt blvd stores all the time! I have retired here in Sahuarita AZ. I drove to the Tucson store today and bought beef tamales, tortilla chips, homemade tortillas, tres leche cake and avocado salsa! Just like I remember! There is always room for more great food in Arizona! Im not Hispanic and love Mexican food and Cardenas! Thank you for such a great store here in AZ and in Cali!

Great Mexican Market.Best white corn tortillas and best Pico de Gauyo.

You can find lots of delicious peppers, meats and veggies to make an awesome Mexican meal or you can buy some of their delicious store-made food. They have a few kinds of ceviche, many delicious, fresh salsas (try madre de salsas or salsa tatemada - they are DELICIOUS), BBQd chicken and so much more!

When I first came here I had a wonderful experience... I dont live on this side of town.. But when I came in everything was so fun and thrilling..So I decided to take my son here to get some of their strawberry drinks at the deli..We arrived like 6:03pm.. One lady was ready about to help us. When another one said they were closed and we should read the sign next time..I wouldve been fine if she said sorry we are closed.. But this store is very new to me.. All I wanted to do was share the experience I had, with my son.But next time I think well just stick to our 40min drive to food city on Irvington...

This place has a great selection of fresh herbs and vegetables. As of posting they even have pickling cucumbers and fresh dill! The fresh blended fruit/veg drinks at the front of the store on the right when you walk in are delicious and reasonably priced. The rotisserie chicken is also amazing and reasonably priced. The soups are well prepared but get picked over quickly so get there early or there wont be any meat left.

So clean and fresh food. I love this place and good prices too..

Its a great Mexican market, very clean

This location is very clean and had a speedy checkout around 2 pm on a wednesday. Everything else was disappointing, the horchata drink tasted like straight sugar water. The pico de gallo had been sitting for a while so the fruit didnt have any flavor. The “ceviche casero” had no flavor. The meats i purchased were poor quality. The chocoflan was good and that was it.

The first few visits have been a great experience and commend you for a great store. Very simply my observation this last visit Sunday afternoon. I was amazed at the food court. It was trashed, food spilled next to the cash register. It was marked with a sign... when we sat to enjoy our food the floors and the condiment station was trashed, the floors were like food fight had taken place. The servers were very busy and were going out of their way to comply with napkins, containers, etc etc to paid customers. The service after the cashier like table and floor cleanup was non-existent. I was embarrassed because I called my kids to meet us. Garbage overflowing, drinks, food and garbage on the floors and tables purely below food service standards. Your investment is high but your liability exposure is greater. I am sure your expectations are not being enforced or applied. The rest of the store is great and much needed in our community. We drive 30 miles to enjoy Cardenas. Thank you. I have pictures if you need

Amazing deals & great store over all! The cochina smells delicious! The variety of fruit & veggies were amazing, meat counter was friendly & clean, the tortillas are warm and fresh & so were the fresh roasted green chillies.

I used to live in CA, I always did shop at the Cardenas over there. Just found out that there is this Cardenas here in AZ. So ill be shopping here frequently

Mmmmm I love the pan dulce

Waited 10 minutes in the Carniceria(butcher meat) area to be then told I had to wait again to have a simple question answered. Didnt even get question answered until I called manager while in the store only then did I see the meat guy in back to start doing something waited another 8 minutes before I was helped with my question about product. Rudest employees I will not go back wish Cardenas store manager would contact me will be contacting tomorrow to see if anything can be done about my over 30 minutes of in store one department just to get one item is something that is usual. Dont go here if you dont habla espanol ingles is 2nd language here which would be fine if market was in a Spanish speaking country not an English speaking country.

Today was our first visit. Wow what a great store and location. Nicely laid out. Prices are reasonable. Staff that we had contact with were so friendly and helpful. My new store for fresh veggies.

Its like being in a Mexico store but not . they have fresh smoothies fresh fruit cups and a meat market and a resturaunt basically everything i love this store!
