Great little Mexican grocery story, meat market & restaurant. Very good beef prices, marinated or not. Has awesome selection of real tortillas, some fresh produce (peppers, onions, avocados, etc), house made salsas, beans, rice, etc. Dried & canned goods,lots of candy & cold drinks, most of it from Mexico.Many uniquely Mexican ingredients & snacks.The restaurant offers most of what youd find at a typical burrito place, plus soups & family pack specials.I go there mainly for tortillas, but aways find more when Im there. They speak English & Spanish and are always super nice & helpful. Prices are fair for the groceries for sure. Candy/snacks/drinks are a little pricey but is all authentic.Great place, highly recommend.

This is my go to on the eastside for meat to grill. The meat a great price and you can buy it already marinated. This time we picked up chicken, beef, and pork that was already cooked...and all three were fantastic. There is also some groceries and lots of candy! The staff is always pleasant.

They dont even deserve a star at all!!! My husband bought a gallon in a half of menudo not only was it disgusting it had hait in it throughout the containers. This menudo was cloudy, the tripe was soggy and cut all sort of big and little, had no actual salt and tasted spoiled. Never again would I purchase from here again. Add insult to injury this menudo was for a service of which Noone would or could eat.

This place used to have the BEST menudo that was Available daily. I stopped in Tuesday to get a large container for hubby and I,the girl at the front was nice and helpful but the menudo was NASTY. Way wayyyyy too much lard. When the soup would be sitting after each bite you could see the layer on top,it ended up making both of us vomit. Im pretty bummed as we eat their menudo regularly and usually get some for my Nana too when we stop in from vsil. Unfortunately we will NOT be back. I had to dump the rest and the amount of lard left in my sink was nasty. Such a waste of $15. 🙁

Food was amazing I got the family pack carne asada but they left out the cabbage and limes.

Came here on a suggestion from a friend familiar with the area, and this recommendation was definitely spot on! Im beginning to think that the best Mexican places just happen to be inside a grocery store. A fairly sizable group of us came in for dinner, and no one was disappointed.The tacos are CHEAP and the nachos were large and plentiful. Throw in the fact theres peppers, onions, salsas, etc... for you to slather on in any quantity or combination, and youve got a real winner here. The staff was very friendly, and frequently checking in to make sure everything was awesome. If youre in the area and dont eat here, you life will be incomplete.

This place is really cool. They have a lot in a small space. Meat quality is great. Their little Cocina is really good as well. My fajitas were done in 8 minutes. Meat was hot, salad was cold. Nice little salad bar. They also are very careful to speak English first, even if a Latino walks up to order. I would prefer Spanish, but just goes to show how professional they are. Crazy good market! Ill be here every week from now on

Yummy, I had one of each chicken, pork and beef, the chicken was the best (my opinion 👍), salsas selection, house made tortillas, extensive menu and meats for purchase (we didnt but you can). I definitely would (and hope to!) come again 😁

Who would have ever guessed that a deli in a meat market - grocery store could be so good?This is some of the best local Mexican food in Tucson. Ive tried at least half the items on the menu and wasnt disappointed with any of them. I love their burritos and they have a great mix of ingredients that make for an exceptionally good flavors. Ive tried all the meats and ended up liking the all! Their taco topping bar has many good items and a nice variety of sauces.I have take home marinated meat from the butcher counter and gotten raves from my friends. On weekend they set up a grill in the parking lot and you can take home fresh grilled meats. There was not charge for grilling but the cooks did accept tips.If youre out on the east side of town and looking for some great Mexican food, stop in and give it a try!You should be aware that this place get very busy around lunchtime and is lines with hungry people from the nearby Air Force base. The low prices, good quantities and high quality food keep the coming again and again. There is a small seating area inside the market and it fills fast.

Just bought 2 t-bones, sadly the worst meat ever. No fat, no taste, and impossible to chew.

Im from Kansas City and for 130.00 I would get two big boxes and 3 bags of chicken. I got 2 little bags of meat here. Not worth it too me.

Great little store. We always find what we need, especially the meats. Polite and friendly. We go out of our way to go to this particular carniceria.

Al Pastor Burrito had good flavors but the pork was dry and tough...maybe it was because I arrived 30 minutes prior to closing and it dried up..In this case scratch the item and not sell it. I have heard great things about this place and I will give it another try...

What got me on to this place was the taco Tuesdays special. And oh my, for the price those tacos are bomb. Over time I started branching out to other dishes and I gotta say the the tortas are awesome. An amazing choice of meats, and you can never forget the Mexican cokes. As for the meats, in my opinion their carne asada could be better, but their strong suit is the Al pastor.

The first time I was here was in April and I ordered the Birria (shredded beef) Burro and I was not disappointed. It was full of tasty beef, beans, cabbage and pico de gallo. It was delicious and a good sized meal. The second time I visited was a just a few weeks ago and I ordered the same thing. Unfortunately the price had increased by $4.00 but they added a soda. I was disappointed because they put rice in my burrito, not beans. I dont care for rice in my burrito and the meat seemed not as abundant. For $11.99 I thought it was overpriced and only just okay. I may give them another shot as I really liked it the first time. I gave them 3 stars because the first visit was good.

Very good store, restaurant combo place. The food they prepare are excellent. The butcher shop area has incredible cuts of meats and cheese. Staff are very attentive and on the go....busy place, but worth it.

We have been in Tucson for 6 year and I only just went to this location last week and today. Food is amazing, the people there are super nice and I wish I came in sooner. I got the pazole, and that was delicious. Husband says it’s really good compared to the other places we have been to.

Some of the best burritos I have had in Tucson. Their chorizo is my go to! The salsas are also fantastic. I would recommend to all!

I noticed the sign for a Thursday special so I figured after going to the credit union across the street I would give it a shot. I have eaten thousands of burritos in my life. The carne asada burrito I had on a Thursday with a drink for $6 was definitely in the top five . If you are in the area, try them out and tell me if you agree.

Bought some meat yesterday for grilling and it was soo delicious! What made it an overall great experience was the friendly guys in the back! I will be going back for sure.

I absolutely love El Vaquero Meat Market! Always clean, organized and their staff is always helpful, not pushy. From the moment you walk into the door all the staff is friendly and I cant say enough good things! Theyve always have the traditional items I need to make the traditional foods I grew up on. Also you find other brands you dont find in a regular grocery store. The meat is always fresh, good prices and good package deals! If you havent been here I would encourage you to go..........this is by far the cleanest meat market Ive ever been too!

Nothing makes me happier than people who are genuinely checking on you constantly and making sure that you are perfectly taken care of! You can tell the owner has a great respect and friendliness for every customer who walks through the door....Oh, and the amazing food! Second time here and I ordered the pozole. Im so happy that I dont have to wait till the holidays to taste it just like my mom makes it! Don’t Go Here!! Definitely My last time coming here, Rip Off! This place has changed they got greedy! I posted a good review a year ago and now my opinion has changed. Food wasn’t even good either after paying about $10 for a burrito and another $11 for 3 measly tacos, unbelievable!

I have to rate a 3 star only because i ate at the resturant and the meat was way undercooked and frozen cold when i asked to have it redone the next was just as bad with long hair in it when i took it back up they made me feel like i was in the wrong asking for cooked non hairy food.... Other then that managements. Very polite and nice well mannered and respectful.

This place is awesome. Cant wait to return. Next time bring a cooler for take home meats. Their meat case looked awesome.

Love their pastry, cochitos, ! However the last 6 times I have gone to pick some up, they didnt make them that day. I asked when the would have them again. They would tell me a day, I would go back and they wouldnt have them again and again and again. Disappointed! I hadnt found them that good since I was a kid

Nice little carneceria that also cooks meals to order. Some of the stuff on the menu is not available so be sure to ask before you get your hopes up. Caramellos are super cheesey and filled with your choice of meat. Sonoran dogs are good and the corn tortillas for our al pastor tacos held up and tasted great. We also bought some chorizo in hot and mild. Looks good! Cooking it up for breakfast this weekend!
