I took my car in for a recall part replacement, when I got it back, it had a long scratch on my driver side window. They claim it wasnt them as the replacement happened in the backseat and not the front, despite the scratch not being there before and it being inside the car. I dont carry anything into my car that could cause the scratch, especially not when Im getting into the driver side.I had them inspect it, but they ended up adding two more scratch marks to the one long mark, plus peeled back the tint, after they tried to wipe it off twice.They tried to come up with unlikely explanations as to why my car had it on the inside, from the seatbelt hitting the window to being under a tree. The seatbelt could not hit the window seeing as it slowly rolls back and stays close to the seat, so it could not have recoiled into the window. For the tree, I dont park under a tree as theres no tree where I park, and even if I did, it would not explain why it was inside the car. They tried to even claim that it was inside the tint since the outside window was grimy but that was just dirt, and that does nothing to the inside of the car.If not replacing the window, they should have offered to replace the tint they damaged, but they said to replace the tint, it would cost 90 dollars, which I find unreasonable, seeing as they damaged the tint. However, seeing as they were the ones to damage the car in the first place, Im not comfortable with them changing the tint, as they could very well damage the car in other ways.Attached are the scratch marks, the first is when it was discovered, the next two is the progression of the two cleans they tried in order to prove it was just a smudge but instead ended up peeling back the tint instead.

I had a great experience at Desert Toyota, purchasing a Hybrid RAV4, and I highly recommend Henry Gonzalez! Henry was my first contact at the dealership, and helped me so much with every step of the process. I appreciated his friendly service and timely communication. I had to wait about 2 weeks for the vehicle to arrive, and he kept in constant contact with me on its progress. Very happy with all aspects of my purchase!

Do not know how they can stay in business the way they love to screw with peoples minds. I had told them them that I get confused easily because of my medications and so they had 4 different people talking to me all saying different things. Very poor way of doing things and I made sure to tell everyone.

Got a new 2022 Corolla yesterday and it was great experience. Austin was super helpful and very easy to work with! He and Casey both worked together to make sure my needs/demands were met fairly without any frills or nonsense as you’ll find at most dealerships. Quincy in finance was also awesome. The whole team was truly a please you work with start to finish, super smooth and painless process. Would definitely give them my business again and gladly recommend others as well! :)

This review is directed towards Ed Campbell, he is absolutely wonderful! I always come in unexpected and he always makes me feel welcomed and not rushed even when he is extremely busy. Parker was helpful and efficient with my time.He answered all of my questions quickly and easily, and I never felt like he was trying to sell me on anything that I didn’t want or need. I left and came back on another day before making my purchase and was never rushed or pressured to buy before having the time to think it through.I definitely would recommend Parker, especially to someone who already knows what they are looking for. Your time and wishes will be respected.

This is by far the WORST dealership in Tucson. They will rob you blind if you do not know what questions to ask. Sean, one of the managers was so upset I asked for a print out of the numbers to see how they came to my lease price, he asked us to LEAVE. They were taking 10k as a down payment for a lease!!! They also TOOK taxes from my trade in, which is illegal in AZ, youre supposed to get a tax break with a trade in. I knew these things and he was infuriated that I was asked for exact prices. The price was still high and none of the numbers added up. He refused to show us any specific information. I have been to this dealership on numerous occasions throughout the years and every time I leave there shaking my head in disbelief of the service and how they assume people dont know how leases work and try to rob them. Do yourself a huge favor and go to any other dealership in town. If you do go here, understand the way car sales work and ask for the workup print out, guarantee they wont give it to you.

I bought a new vehicle in March of 2021 at desert Toyota. My experience buying the vehicle was good, got the exact model and specs I wanted. Twice this year I have received a call from service department to schedule free service. Both times I was stood up by service department. I brought in vehicle at the time given and both times person I was suppose to meet was not available. I left a note on the desk for Kevin stating I’d like to reschedule and never received a call. I called and left my name and number for head of service to call me and never received a call. Unfortunately they are happy to sell you a vehicle but won’t provide the free service promised.

This dealer is asking for $10k over MSRP for some of their vehicles because of the shortage when there are other dealers in the city still charging at least msrp. When I spoke to an agent over the phone and asked them about this his response was that this was from Toyota. This is a blatant lie and clearly this dealer is being greedy and taking advantage of people. Worst thing was the sales person hung up on me. Do not pay for dealer markups. Take your business elsewhere!

I drive in for just air. I said I think my spare is low. I was told all 5 tires would be checked. My car comes back, I asked the guy, was it my spare? He tells me oh I didnt check it because I would have to get underneath If you are not going to check all 5 tires dont tell me you are going to check all 5. A completely wasted trip. I would air the tires up myself except they use nitrogen

Terry service advisor is beyond honest and makes dealership service departments look good! Brought truck in from Daly City to get maintenance done (live here in Tucson part of the year) and he prevented unnecessary work that didnt need to be done by taking the time to look at the records from the other dealership. Ok, I bought my first 2 cars from this dealership maybe 13 years ago but have had nothing but negative experiences since. First, the GAP protection on my second vehicle was a total joke. It covered NOTHING and I didnt even get the amount back that I bought the gap for in the first place. Multiple other customers have complained about that gap company they used as well.Later, I went in to buy a Tacoma I saw online AND on the lot. I then test drove it and wanted to buy it so I started doing some paperwork. They came back and said I had average credit and talked about trade in values etc. Then they were going to get the keys and other paperwork but came back to let me know they SOLD IT to someone after I was already in process.... The reasoning was that the other person had Excellent credit. To be clear I was already approved for the loan, but they apparently didnt care they wanted the better guarantee I guess? This was the second time I know this dealer has sold a vehicle out from underneath someone.I used to at least respect the service department but I no longer trust them.I went to have my Tundras timing belt, radiator, transmission, and differential fluids changed and shortly after I noticed weird grinding/rubbing sounds. They took it in and said they couldnt duplicate it, which is BS as it was. Then I went back again they drained the differential fluid and showed me there was no metal in the fluid, and then put new fluid in and I was off. BOOM, still a problem. They were NOT using LSD differential fluid all 3 times they looked at it. Finally they put the LSD additive in and problem was gone. (Imagine that).Another issue with service was my sister had the fuel pump recall done on her Sienna and they forgot to connect a cable or something because the gauge read empty even when full. They didnt even test the work they did?? They had to go back and it was fixed in only a few moments.Another issue I had was with my current Camry. I had taken it in for a transmission ECU update for shifting rough at rolling stops etc. They said they updated it and it did indeed feel like it was improved however there was no label attached per Toyotas TSB to prove it was updated. I had the software/calibration ID verified via techstream so it was actually done but the lack of attention to details really make me question this entire dealership.Bottom Line: Dont use this dealer for anything, except maybe purchasing parts as they cant really screw that up. Or at least they havent yet.For reference, I went to Camelback in Phoenix to buy my current Camry and it was like a night and day difference with the dealer experience. So SO much better. I just assumed before that that was how dealerships just were. NOPE, not all of them. 4.1 stars when I wrote this is CLEARLY fake.

Great experience with sales team, finance team, and prompt delivery of my vehicle once ordered. Michael Rodriguez in sales was terrific. (Very relaxed, knowledgeable, and low pressure.) Pleasure to work with. Was not thrilled with my trade-in offer but was warned in advance that it was likely to be about $1000 less than KBB or Edmunds Trade-in Valuation as a matter of Desert Toyota Policy, which doesnt quite make sense to me but which I decided I could live with in what is clearly a dealers market. Found the staff courteous, professional, and responsive. Would definitely shop there again and recommend.

I purchased a vehicle back in August 2021.It is now October 8, 2021. My temp tags expired in September, and I had still not received my new tags. After making multiple phone calls to the DMV, it turns out the dealership did not complete the paperwork to register my vehicle. After speaking to someone twice at Toyota, they tell me my vehicle needs to be seen at emissions. So basically they sold me a truck that was not 100% ready to be sold. Funny enough, everyone I spoke to acted like it was a normal thing. I was told its not a huge deal by an employee. Simply stunning. After I personally took time off form work to complete a this task that they should have done from day 1, I receive a cheap scanned copy with a temp tag, and temp registration, all on 1 page, nice and small when you print it out. Keep this in mind, NO ONE reached out to me and told me things were not complete. It was only after I hounded them and the called the DMV. Also, the paperwork for my payoff for my trade in has still not been completed. I 100% regret doing business with this place, especially for the amount of money I spent on my vehicle, and I am stuck with this truck now, which by the way already has an issue. If you are looking to purchase a vehicle, just drive out to Phoenix.

Bought a car, but had to carefully inspect the car and haggle away all of the false add-ons and lies. The cherry on top, a $2,000.00 reconditioning fee on a car with 1,054 miles on it.... there were still original dealer stickers inside the car. I think all they did was armor all the engine bay and wipe the wheels.

Made an appointment to go see a Tacoma that i saw on their web site, they told me the car was in display, got there (i live 2 hours away from there) they started to show me a bunch of other cars, after 1 hour I asked for the car that i made the appointment for, they told they were doing repairs to the engine and it wasnt available, still they told me the price for this car was 40k and not 30k as shown on the webpage. Have a LT silverado that i wanted to trade in that has 115000 km on the odometer told them it was in KM they putted 115000 miles and offered me 5k less for my car, do research before you come to this dealership.

Cant possibly see or even believe this dealership got 4 stars. I love my Toyota but will NEVER EVER do business with this or any Toyota dealership in Tucson.I bought a Tacoma in 2014. During the sale, 3 different times their extended warranty was added to my sales contract even though they were told I did not want one. It wasnt until I threatened to walk out it was removed.Within 6 months of buying my truck Desert Toyota started calling almost daily trying to get me to trade in my 2007 with 50k miles for a new Toyota. What is wrong with this place.Final straw was they have a recall on the rear suspension that could kill you. Five times I have called and told they would call me back to schedule yet all 5 times they never do. I hope my rear end drops out of my truck so I can file a law suite and sue them out of existence.

Jared Castaneda is the go to salesman! Very knowledgeable of his product, patient, very friendly and kept in touch with me. I had contacted him back in January when I was interested in purchasing a Tacoma, had some life changes and Jared kept in touch with me and not pushy just reminding me that he would be there whenever Im ready to buy. Plan a week ahead for an oil change. They wont wash you car either. Zero special treatment. I only go back because Ive got the service package.And if you have Toyota roadside DONT call this place for a tow. Was charged about 90$ for the 4 mile trip to the dealer from their guys. SMDH.That being said- I love Toyota vehicles. I have one about 20 years old going strong and brand new gets great gas mileage.

The salesman I worked with didnt know much about the cars. When I asked him for details about the trims, he routinely made up false answers. When I looked it up later, it was clear that he was wrong. One example is that I asked why the higher Highlander trims have larger wheels and he said it was because the vehicle was heavier, which a) doesnt make sense, and b) isnt even true, theyre the same weight. Another example is when I said I wanted to test the digital rearview mirror on the Platinum trim and he said we dont have a Platinum on the lot but we have a Limited with that feature. I told him the website says the Limited doesnt have that feature and he insisted that it does, so I asked him to go look it up and a few minutes later he came back and admitted he was wrong. Im not a car expert, Im just a random guy who has done a little research--I shouldnt know more about the cars than the salespeople do!If they dont know the answer to a question, they SHOULD say I dont know, let me look into that for you, but instead they just make stuff up. (Or maybe they think they know and theyre just wrong? Not sure which is worse.) Dont listen to what these salespeople tell you.

Bought a 2017 chevy malibu from here in January check engine light has been on since I got it took it in and I was told there is absolutely nothing they can do because they dont know how to work on the car Im aware its not a Toyota but why sale cars you dont know how to work on so here I am not even a year later trying to get them to fix the issue and still they wont so apparently they dont stand behind the cars that they sale if they cant fix the issue. Unless you are buying a Toyota model they dont care to even try to help fix the situation.

He educated us on things that we hadn’t thought of in buying a new car. He helped us narrow down what we were looking for and what was in our price range. They were extremely rude and “man-splained” driving and my car to me in a way which made me feel as though my concerns were not being taken seriously in any capacity. This was by far been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a service provider. I do not recommend you visit this location. I found a used car that I was interested in, so I called before showing up to confirm its availability. I was told that this specific car I was interested in WAS available. So I made an appointment and showed up. When I showed up, the rep was not aware of my appointment, but I told him the car I was looking for. He tried searching the lot but could not find it. He then called someone to check where the car was, and learned that the car had a bad engine and HAD BEEN PUT UP FOR AUCTION ALREADY. Not to mention it has been on their website for at least a week, when I first saw it, or more. How unprofessional and time-wasting that whole experience was. Dont plan on coming back.

Financing guy will run couple credit report on you even though your first financial was approved by Toyota financial services, I was approved for 1.99% by Toyota financial services and I agreed we sign, but the paper arrived is financing by Wells Fargo which is 2.99%... I recently purchased a vehicle from Desert Toyota of Tucson, and am so incredibly glad I chose to go there! The service and friendliness of every member of the staff was amazing from start to finish. I had made an appointment to test drive the vehicle I thought I wanted, and my salesman (Jared Castaneda) was so helpful in explaining the nuances between vehicles I was driving. He was super patient as he listened to my wishlist and then as I test drove and hopped in and out of 5 different trucks to see what I liked. He showed the truck I ended up purchasing, (which was one I probably wouldnt have looked at myself), but because he had listened to my opinions at the beginning of the day, knew it would be a good fit! Seriously from start to finish, everyone was kind, helpful and patient. I have and will continue to tell people to come to this location to buy a vehicle!

I recently purchased a new Toyota Highlander from Desert Toyota of Tucson. Because I don’t live in Tucson the process was done online and via phone conversations. I have to say that purchasing a car has always seemed to take too much time BUT I was very pleasantly surprised by how simple and easy Anthony and Mike made it. I knew what I was looking for but there are always questions. Anthony responded quickly and was kind and helpful. So disappointed in the deceitful tactics. Our salesman was great, very kind and knowledgeable. However, the bait and switch tactics when it was time to buy, was overwhelmingly deceitful. We have purchased 12 cars over the years, all from various local dealerships and I have NEVER seen fees added on like this! We were told that the listed price, posted by the dealership, was not what we would be paying for the car! They added on a $3500 reconditioning fee on top of the LISTED price! The listed price was already considered ABOVE Kelly blue book value for a dealership sale and considered to be listed above value according to CarGurus as well. Then, they undervalued our trade-in at $3200 below Kelly blue book trade-in value. We went there pre-approved, financing in place, ready to pay the sticker price that they posted, plus all the regular fees like tax, title and doc fees, even take an offer close to blue book trade-in value for our trade-in...and at the end, the out the door price was $11,000.00+ above the original posted price....bait and switch, dont bother.

Bought a brand new 2022 Prius. Love the car but had a Very frustrating experience. For a number of reasons. Sales rep was great. But had issues with the gap negotiations. Saying gap wasn’t part of the deal we had made when it was. Next the payoff for my trade in (they definitely undervalued my trade in) wasn’t sent in right away so I had calls from the lien holders collections department for over a week. Next I have a wireless charger issue not working. The customer service satisfaction lady made an appointment. I showed up and they had no record of the appointment so I left. So it’s still not fixed. I recently purchased two vehicles with the assistance of Henry (car sales rep), Tyler (used team captain), Cody (new car sales rep) and Elijah (finance). It was a lot of back and forth that took several hours to come to an agreement but we ended up with a ‘13 Ford Focus and ‘21 RAV4.Tyler stayed past his shift to make sure everything turned out well and reached out to the used car manager- (thank his ingenuity with recommending the Ford because at one point I was ready to call it quits since everything was blowing our budget), who also was able to further assist us with making sure we stayed within our budget.It was quite the trial but Henry (the walking encyclopedia for cars!) and Tyler were pleasant through the whole process, as well as answer all of our questions to help meet our goals.Towards the end we received the assistance of Cody, which helped relieve some of the stress with his good nature. He was marvelous in helping us know the awesome features that our RAV4 has.As for Elijah, he was such a patient, good mannered man who went along with my husband joke. I know that he was completely exhausted towards the end but never lost his composure with us. He was polite through the difficult process.I would choose and recommend them all again. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts with working with us in such a challenging situation.

Cody Vanden Bos was great. Bought my fair share of cars over the years and he is the best. Listened to what I wanted, never pressured me, very easy to interact with. Answered my questions (some more than once) and took the time and patience to make sure I understood them. It was a pleasure, as far as buying a car is, doing business with Cody and the whole team at DesertToyota. If my future experiences with Desert Toyota will be as easy as this one I will definitely return and will want Cody as my sales person.

Horrible experience. I do give parts department 5 stars, but service was bad, price kept changing on the price of install. From 145.00 to 235.00! Also they had me make appointment and when I showed up for it they said I needed to leave my car all day or over night! Sunshine Virgen was the rep and I had to keep repeating stuff and she was not helpful. So I got the job done at Big O Tires on Valencia for FREE and it took them only 15 mins!

Price gouging greedy people. Steer clear of this place. Call around to see which dealerships are charging a “market adjustment”. They are adding $5000 to their vehicles MSRP. Don’t fall for it. Do your research, there are dealerships out there with integrity.

I’m newly moved to Arizona. I needed a car. Claudia Lopez and her colleagues at Desert Toyota delivered on all counts. Claudia found the exact Toyota Corolla I was looking for. She knows her vehicles through and through. She provided me with the knowledge I needed to set up all the electronic components of my car. She was showed and explained the features of my 2021 Corolla. Claudia even treated my friend and I to a snack at Desert’s snack bar when I had to wait while my car was prepped. David Montano truly CARES ! He found me and my daughter walking around in Deseret Toyotas Showroom. I had my eyes on a 2021 4X4 double cab Tacoma. The truck was tricked out and placed in the show room only 3 hours before I saw it. David asked if I believed in Santa Clause which made me curious what he was up to. His understanding and ability to work around my budget was terrific and surprised me with an early Christmas Gift. David knows how to work the magic and made this very possible for me. Buying a new car under any circumstances can be a daunting experience but with COVID and inventory shortages it can be even more frustrating. So with the usual trepidation, we visited Desert Toyota last week and were more than pleasantly surprised at the support of the sales staff and the availability (on the lot) of exactly the vehicle we were looking for. With the help of Jacob Hayter, our salesperson, who demonstrated not only the highest level on enthusiasm I have seen in vehicle sales, but a real working knowledge of the technology that Toyota has put into their 2022 Camrys--and working with Freddy Solano, they negotiated a deal that afternoon and we were good to go. Thanks also to Eddie Martinez for demonstrating the flexibility to meet our budget, and kudos to Elijah Bjornson for his ability to make the financing meeting a real pleasure, we were delighted to pick up our new XLE Hybrid the next day.

Just a terrible experience. They sold me a 2005 prius with malfunctioning battery parts that began having issues a month and a half after purchase, despite asserting its health. Then when I brought it in to be repaired they said that the issue was simply related to the battery cooling fan and that my other auto repair diagnostic was wrong and fixed it. Then one month after fixing it the car died on the road. I went here thinking that Toyota would be the best option for a used car purchase, compared to a third party dealership—I wish I hadnt. Better off going anywhere else in Tucson, so disappointed!!!

Saw a used vehicle that they posted today. I contacted them regarding the vehicle and to have them send me photos, as none were yet posted. They initially responded confirming the vehicle was available to view and offered a few times for me to come see it. No photos were sent at this time. I informed them that I live in Tempe (2 hour drive) but settled on a 3:45 appointment.I did not receive confirmation until I had to call AND text. I once again asked for photos of the vehicle, but still did not receive any. Once I arrived at the appointment, the salesman we set the appointment with was spacey, not engaged, and seemed like he wasnt expecting us. He greeted myself and my brother, but completely ignored my wife. He then informed us that the vehicle we wanted to look at had been sold. Overall, their lack of communication was abysmal as a phone call would have gone a long way in not wasting our time taking this trip.

Ive bought several vehicles from this dealership and it has been a pleasant experience each time. I still shop around just to assure myself that the deals I get are great ones. This latest time my family and I were shopping for a 2021 Sienna. I love this van! It is very much refreshed up to modern times. I love the Apple Carplay feature and there are both USB type A and type C plugs in several areas of the vehicle. Claudia was our sales person and she was unbelievable. She was knowledgeable about the vehicle. Some things were promised on delivery that were forgotten and she was the one that remembered and made sure we received everything. Upon delivery we walked to the Sienna to get ready to drive it away and she was on the ground detailing it! Quincy was our finance person. This is usually the part I dont like but it was a breeze with him. We told him the only products we were interested in and he quickly went through all the other options in order to get us out. We finalized our deal with the sales manager, Patrick. He was really friendly and there wasnt any BS. He asked what we needed to make the deal happen and got us what we asked for. I should be looking to replace our 2nd vehicle soon and Im confident that it will come from Desert Toyota again.

Went to Desert Toyota looking to a Highlander that was about 32,000 with a bench seats and they needed to be leather. Between Austin Kinney and Tommy the Manager of the used cars we ended up looking at 3 cars we could not fine what we were looking for, but we went ahead a test drove one of the Highlands that had a bench seat .When we return Tommy found the Highland we were looking for, They both made us feel very comfortable and was try hard to make sure we left with the right car and for that we thank you

The financing department is shady, I will never do business with them again. We have filed a compliant with the AZ Attorney Generals office consumer compliant division due to their fraudulent practices. My fiancée bought a car over a month ago and traded in her old vehicle (a 2014 Scion FRS) - unfortunately she trusted them to pay the loan off. Now its been over a month, they havent paid the loan, and due to their negligence she is on the hook for 2 cars. Not to mention that Wells Fargo sent her a letter raising her payment by $50/month due to an increased rate, and since they havent paid off the trade-in she has no ability to re-finance.This branch did her so dirty, you should be ashamed of yourselves. The worst mistake we made was walking in that door.Dont walk, run away from this place!

I didn’t even come here to buy a car. I just came to get my old Prius serviced and when I was told it was beyond repair I asked about my options for trading it in for another Toyota. I ended up driving out of the showroom in a brand new 2021 just a few days later. I’m only 22 and didn’t even think that purchasing a brand new car was something I could do with my credit but Cody as well as his manager Tyler did absolutely everything they could to get me into a beautiful new car for a super affordable price. I think I was a fairly difficult customer but they were patient with me and ultimately saved me from my hoopty nightmares. Cody has multiple awards on his desk for a reason, he is THAT salesman. Let me start with saying this car buying experience was great, everyone was super nice and they were able to get me out of my old junky clunky car into a nice new corolla which I LOVE ! However now that I already bought it, it seems Im now not important . When I bought the car I was very adamant about seeing if I can get a small dent on the drivers side fixed, I was quickly given the oh ya we have someone that pops those out it shouldnt be a problem well Ive now been back 3 separate times to be told I need to come back and this and that time . Feels like I was just told whatever to shut me up and get the car bought . Probably will just go somewhere else and pay to get it fixed at this point. Just ridiculous that I financed a 20k car and I having all this trouble fixing a $100 dent that I thought they would have fixed when they reconditioned the car.
