I drove across the country with my son in an older box truck. My transmission blew near by Chris and his team at AAMCO. Thank God for that! Chris is a total professional and it was obvious that he is very knowledgeable in his trade. Thanks to Chris’ tenacity, determination and willingness to exhaust all avenues, we were back on the road in no time. My son and I recognize that Chris is a valuable member to his community, and all should support his business.

Our AC went out with a dog in the car on a cross-country drive during the summer heatwave... We stopped in Terra Heute for the night. Chris said the AC likely has a very slow leak. He recharged it the next morning and it blows cold air again. We are back on the road on time with a very happy dog!

After a terrible experience at Owen Ford in Marshall, IL, I talked to Chris about replacing my transmission. He had my car picked up when he said he would, the transmission arrived when he said it would, and I got my car back when he said I would.Chris was able to beat Owen Fords price by quite a few hundred dollars and provided a better warranty. I felt like there was complete transparency through the entire transaction and was never left wondering what was going on with my car or what it was going to cost. Customer service is A1.

After $1300 my transmission they turned my transmission leak into a full on wont work and wants more than $1000 to fix it. I see no reason for anyone to ever go there for anything! I would rather have had the leak and a working transmission.

Chriss knowledge and expertise saved my buying a new vehicle!! Everything one would hope for was there: skill, professionalism, low cost. As a bonus, the office exceeds the atmosphere of many doctors offices! There was nice artwork, architectural magazines in the waiting room, BBC on the radio (rather than obnoxious game shows), and he was a delight to talk with. I will return there as necessary, and will certainly recommend it to anyone.

This outstanding team of professionals went above and beyond their jobs. Not only did they diagnose my transmission problems in a matter of minutes, they were reasonably priced. I had to wait for 9 hours for our recovery vehicle to come get me. These guys not only made my wait comfortable, they even helped us load the truck. Great job! Great people!

I came to this store on my last legs my Land Rover was my only car and my family had attempted to fix it made it worse. This garage fixed it right the first time got it taken care of with out question. I needed a transmission swapped out. It was done quickly and right i can not recommend this place more. Chris the main guy was great and got me taken care of. I;m very happy.

Whenever Ive done price comparisons with other places, AAMCO in Terre Haute always has a lower price. One time, they even saved me a transmission replacement when that was what all the other mechanics were telling me thats what I needed. Theyre also really good about giving me a ride where I need to go. They work quickly and they let me know what is necessary to fix immediately and what can wait a little while.

It was a great place to get my 1 ton pickup transmission rebuilt. I have a big truck, they had plenty of room for it. Did it right on time, and did it fast and quick. It only took 1 week.

Ive been going there for years. So far so good. They know what theyre doing, and theyre very honest.

Had my transmission overhauled. It didnt last 6 months without problems. Transmission failed long before warranty. Aamco refused to service their warranty.Took the Avalanche to another transmission service to have fixed and learned the Torque Converter was bad.That is what I got for my $2300 service. Being on a fixed income (disabled Veteran) it took me a while to come up with the money to have it overhauled again.

Cannot recommend this place to anybody. None of their mechanics have adequate training. They have made many errors in repairing both personal and company

DO NOT TRUST THIS SHADY SHOP!! Took my car here to have a new transmission put in, when I dropped it off there were no issues other than a sensor going out inside of the transmission. When I spoke with Chris, he said that he would get my car in sometime the next week to do the trans swap, called the next week and he told me the same thing... For roughly two months this was the cycle, but I was understanding as it was still drivable and they seemed pretty busy. After picking my car up from Aamco, I drove roughly 30 miles to get home, and was missing an aftermarket hubcap ($65-70 a set, and you cant buy them individually). I pull in my drive way and start to notice a clunking sound, so I call Chris and he advised me to check the lug nuts, which I had already done. Finally I tracked it down and found damage to the CV Axle and a sticking caliper. Took the car back to Aamco and the mechanic drove my car in the parking lot to diagnose the problem, he accelerated to 25mph and stomped the breaks to free the caliper. Terrible idea, especially with a baby in the car, I cannot do that every time it sticks. Chris then swore and argued that they were not responsible for repairing the damage, even admitting that it was not there prior to the transmission swap. He did of course offer to repair the damage, given that I pay more for the parts and labor to do so. They caused the damage, they need to be responsible for repairing it!! All around a sh!tball deal, just dont entrust them with your vehicle. If you do, be sure to take plenty of pictures and videos of your vehicle prior and post to reappearing or ll

Chris and the staff at Aamco were amazing! Took my car in that morning before work, they dropped me off at work, called me with my cars issues the same day. Gave me a game plan; prices, time, and options. They had me back with my car by closing the day I brought it in!!Thank you!! I will be back in the future.

I called and a guy by the name Chris (receptionist) picked up the call. I told him specifically that my car has both transmission and engine problems and he gave me estimate for getting both done, so he picked up the car to the shop. I later called to get update on the diagnosis and repair works only for Chris to tell me that replacement of engine takes too long so they dont have the time to replace my engine so I should pay the towing and move the car out of their shop. This is contrary to what he told me before picking up my car to the shop. Very unprofessional and worst place to get your car fixed.
