Outstanding selection of parts for an XS650 I stumbled on to in Craigslist. Shipping was fast, combining two orders that I placed one evening and next morning. Titled as a 1979 XS650F. However it appears to actually be a 1980 XS650G or SG according to serial number and equipment. Only 7k on odometer. But appears to have spent most of its life sitting. Sometimes inside and sometimes outside. Engine and frame numbers match up. Will restore fairly close to stock but not to original factory. Will fit MikesXS black 3.9 gal. tank and a Texivana seat with Daytona handlebars. Heritage Special side covers. Engine has good compression and fired right up with kickstarter. Have always missed the 1950 Triumph I owned back in the late 50s. XS photos are from ad in Craigslist.

I ordered a rotor, stator, drive sprocket and an Izumi drive-chain. Everything worked perfect, except the chain was too short- MY FAULT entirely. I counted 106 links in the old chain, but forgot to order one a couple links longer to account for stretch. Hey Mike, do you have a return policy? Its no biggie, because I bought a 108-link chain locally. Just let me know, yall.Again, thanks so much, yall rock. :) My lil 73 TX Bobber is very happy.

Inherited a Yamaha SX650. Ive been working to get it up and running. Mikes XS is my only stop to get parts. My only MINOR complaint is it can take a day or two for an order to ship. Outside of that, I love Mikes and plan to use them more. I have four more Yamahas to build.

I have a 1975 XS650B Have owned since 1984. Little while back I was hit by car pulling out of lot. ( they were caught shoplifting) the owner no insurance an my insurance company told me bike is not worth fixing. I brought to a shop to have FIXED? The shop said bike is too old not worth fixing an cant get parts any way. Turns out shop owner had bike 2 years newer an was taking parts off my bike to fix his. Couple years later. I still have bike an fewer parts on. I go to New shop he helps me find parts. He told me about MIKES XS. I LOOK INTO IT. I ALSO WATCHED SHADTREE (MOTORCYCLE U-TUB SHOW)HE ALSO PUT IN MARK FOR XS. The customer service at Mikes XS is outstanding. I have had so many questions about parts for the 1981 XS650 that I am reworking and I have always received a prompt and helpful response. The technical support section on their web site has also been a big help. Resurrecting a 40 year old bike is never easy, but Mikes XS has made this project much more enjoyable.

Lots of the items sold are very poor quality. Most any import rubber part will not last long.Thanks for your response. I know that the previous owner had poor customer service and sold known bad product and offered terrible customer support related to it. I stopped buying anything from him and found other sources. It appears the new site is set up better and expanded. I still read from others that many items coming from certain areas are bad. I guess as long as the items are removed for sale and the customer taken care of, this is the new world of junk we live in with few choices. I will give it a try sometime to see if the items I use are serviceable for me. Good luck and do the right thing. It will be good for all.

Great selection of parts for older bikes, helpful and great shipping.If it were not for Mikes I would be trying to find parts on ebay. Most parts on ebay are not worth buying. My XS2 650 Yamaha runs perfect and looks like the day I purchased it new in 1972. I drive it often and always get attention.
