First time visiting and it was a very nice experience! We had a reservation and they were ready for us at the reservation time, so no unnecessary wait. The service was pretty good. The drinks were fantastic and big fan of the board. Tried pickled peaches for the first time and now I am obsessed! π The grape mustard was π€― The chicken sandwich was good but the burger was overcooked. I asked for medium and got well done. I did not send it back out of personal choice because I hate wasted food and it is something that can be remedy with feedback. This was going to be a 4 star review but a single person there made all the difference. Allie was just clocking as we were getting close to the end of our meal and happened to walk by our table. She complimented my hat and the brewery it is from. She struck a conversation with us and took the time to make sure we were satisfied with our experience. Just felt absolutely comfortable, organic and genuine. Folks like Allie really just make the absolute difference between a pretty good to an excellent experience! Overall, I will definitely be back!
First time visit and it was amazing. The perfect mix of Fun place and Great Food. We normally like the bar sitting areas for craft drinks and good vibes but at C House, AJ made this a great food experience as well. He was attentive, knew the menu well, and made us feel at home. But the whole team behind the bar was great. A new home away from home.
10/10 RECOMMEND.Their food is phenomenal, no joke. I got their chicken euphoria sandwich and it did not disappoint. The honey sauce, GOOD. The French fries, GOOD. The chicken, GOOD. I literally donβt have a single bad thing to say about this place. We had Ken as a waiter and he was very nice, fast, and overall very pleasant. The atmosphere is relaxed and the perfect place to enjoy a lunch. Will definitely be returning!
Allie was our server and it was the icing on top of a perfect experience here. The flavor of the food was a direct correlation to its quality and everything was cooked with pristine care. Our reservations were at 730pm on a Sunday and even though kitchen and bar closed at 9pm they allowed us to hang and finish up all the way until 10pm! Love the rockstar experience.
Great experience here! We sat outside and the large fans they had everywhere kept us cool. The outside area ambiance is beautiful and relaxing. Everything we got tasted really good and our waitress was SO good! She was super nice and knowledgeable about the restaurant, the owners, and the menu. Service was A+++
A small, cute and rustic restaurant. I feel like I stepped into a Pinterest board. The charcuterie was delicious. Only thing that bothered me was the amount of flies. They have a garage door front entrance. Granted there was an air curtain to keep bugs out, but quite a few slipped through. The bartender got our drinks wrong, but I hate wasting good alcohol so we drank them anyway. Overall it was a good experience and Id definitely go back.
Unfortunately very disappointed in my order. I ordered to-go and the staff at The C House forgot to include two of my items. When I called to inform them, the manager gave me attitude about it. The Buffalo cauliflower I ordered is super soggy and they gave me the wrong dipping sauce, again. This is now the second time Iβve had a subpar experience at this restaurant. I do not plan on returning.
Good spot, limited indoor seating. We sat at the bar outside which was nice with great service. It was a 90 degree day (felt like 97) and it was still OK to sit outside with all the fans and coverage. I would not recommend this during the summer. The Food: This was very good. I would say above average Tampa food but nothing extremely special (we only got a charcuterie board and the chicken euphoria sandwich).Drinks: Drinks are varied and good. The prices are reasonable and similar to other Tampa spots.
I really love the look of this place. Very inviting and homely. It not a huge place but it does have outdoor seating. I ordered a ton of things and overall the food was ok 7 out of 10. Somethings were over cooked but still tasteful. The mixed drinks were so tasty but not buzz worthy. I will definitely visit The C House again, I enjoyed myself
Love everything about this place!! outdoor patio is a great place to bring your dog and relax to live music. Service is amazing, craft cocktails are beautiful and tasty! Definitely a top place for charcuterie boards & happy hour deals on food and drink. Hands down the best cheesecake Ive ever had. Recommend calling ahead to make reservations as they are always pretty full.
Great big open area prefect for this being outdoor. We were there in time for happy hour and gotbthe charcuterie board and the Buffalo cauliflower which were amazing. For entree I got the chefs feature burger which did not disappoint, it was humongous, didnt finish it bc it was big, 8oz burger, fried Mac n cheese and I added a fried egg on it. The Mac and cheese shareable was delicious!! So many other options on the menu. Definitely will be back.
Watch where u park as I saw them tow a dudes car β- but itβs a nice place
The Buffalo cauliflower was delicious and the chicken gnocchi was very good although the actual amount of gnocchi was a little on the small side.I got the blueberry lavender mojito and it was the perfect balance flavor and sweetness without being overly sweet.Services very good with solid recommendations.
No matter how wonderful the food is, the parking super sucks, they will tow you for sure, and the hostess stand personal needs to be changed. After you arrive stressed about where you parked and risking getting towed, they greet you with negative attitude. Why bother? Skip them. There are a million other restaurants in the area with good, safe parking, and welcoming host. Move onβ¦..
First visit And had a horrible experience . The atmosphere was amazing this food looked delicious too bad we werenβt able to taste it because there was lots of flies flying around on our food and in our wine. It was so bad that we had to cover our food β¦ It was so highly recommended too, we love trying restaurants an supporting small businesses .I truly hope that they take care of this issue. β DIDNβT NOT STAY TO ENJOY THE EVENING
What a pleasant experience we had here last night! We tried the Buffalo cauliflower, poutine, and regular cheeseburger. All the food was delicious (large portions!!) and every staff member was friendly, including our server. We will absolutely be back!!
Love the outside area. Great drink options, but dont come here looking for food if youre a vegan. Not one single sandwich or entree option. You get a sample of cut veggies and French fries...Thats it. Youd think such a hip place would be more in tune with the fastest growing food movement in the country.... Great for drinks, though
Everything about the C house is awesome. They always have live music and the food is just superb. Iβll be going back this week
Excellent food, highly recommended, the place is very nice and cozy. Owner was there with kids and everything and that made me feel like at home, they were making sure everything runs to perfection. We normally dont get satisfied when eating out because we find american food too plain, lack of flavor and just ordinary, but this place is really tasty and looks like everything is made from scratch. Can wait to come back and try the cauliflower.
Very pleasant but a bit pricey. The charcuterie board could be a bit more generous for the price. Fun though.
I give 4 stars for the food, and 2 stars for the rest = 3 stars overall.Swordfish/risotto was amazing, as was the burger and Caesar salad. My 4-year old didnt like his mac n cheese, however, and hell always eat that. When our food arrived, we were also swarmed by flies, and had to eat with one hand, while swatting them away with the other. It made the experience very difficult to enjoy.Secondly the service was pretty slow. I felt like I was always looking for our server to order new drinks, or even just to place our meal order.Chance of returning, 15-20%.
Today the chef forgot how to make gnocchi. It was cheese paste. Furthermore my risotto was rice and the swordfish was dry . This was the worst lunch I ever had here at this location!!! I was a fan but never again they mess up my wife and my lunch for the day .
My husband and I came after a day at Lowry Zoo. All I can say is wow. I havent had food that good in a long time. We had the crab cakes and steak tacos and they were phenomenal. I think I said wow after every bite I took. Our server named Ana(I think) was very attentive and nice. They had a woman singing shortly after we came and we ending up hanging out a but because we liked the place so much. We will definitely be back next time we are in Tampa. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
Not my cup of tea.. food was ok. Drinks were priceyHas a cool vibe but not sure if I would try it again.Server was very good
Very beautiful farm to house interior decor. I ordered the wings (not pictured) and the lobster roll which I thought would be better warm. The portion sides are fulfilling and Ill surely go back to try something different.
So take a close look at the picture. Looks are deceiving! My family and I went to The C House a while back. The restaurant was marginally busy. I ordered the pompano. I tried to take a fork to the fish; normal cooked pompano flakes off the bones and is white. My fork got stuck! Maybe twist the fork? I got a chunk of glassy colored meat. I tasted it. Definitely raw. I didnβt order sushi! Ice cold to touch. I called over the server. βIs the chefβs intent to serve this dish raw?β βOh no, itβs supposed to be cookedβ.They take the fish back, my family finishes their meal, and the table is cleared. 15 minutes later, I get a βSorryβ from the expeditor as he plopped the fish in front of me. It is not fun eating alone when everyone else is finished eating. No visit from the chef, manager, or owner to explain or apologize. I made it very clear to the server how unhappy I was. This is an upscale restaurant. I wonder what the owners would do if they went to a fine dining establishment, served a raw entree and then blown off.Very disappointed as we have been to this restaurant several times. Will not visit again.
I have to admit - I was initially skeptical of C House, simply based on the premise (seemed a little silly to me) - but we have consistently had really great experiences eating here. The buffalo cauliflower app is AMAZING. We always go for the happy hour and piece together shareable from there. You canβt go wrong. Service has also always been great, and the place is clean, inside and out. My only real caveat is that the menu seems a little limited to me - I donβt get too excited by it, but everything Iβve had has been real good.
Great neighborhood spot for happy hour and American food
Great environment. a awesome experience. Charcuterie selection was great. I would have liked to have more of an entree selection.
I wanted to love it, BUT THERE WERE SO MANY FLIES! Couldnβt enjoy my food :( I was seated inside, I couldnβt imagine how bad it is outside. I wonβt be returning. I hope they can come up with some better solutions, otherwise I donβt see how customers would go back.
The food was incredible, but the staff stand out above all else. Wonderful place. Thank you for hosting my cousins birthday.
The food tasted good enough, but the Crustacean roll was literally 3 small shrimp and maybe 4 tiny pieces of crawfish on a heaping bed of shredded iceberg. Altogether very dry as well, but I prefer that to the alternative of swimming in mayonnaise, $16.00.Not sure its worth a second visit other than youve been everywhere else. Service was decent. Would have been much happier at Mekenita or Rooster and Till had they been open.
Service wasnt so good they made us wait like 45 minutes to order food and the Mahi Mahi was tasteless but the cauliflower Buffalo wings were delicious. Its also really pricey so make sure youre ready to drop $100Β±
First time here! Loved everything. Our server Dan was perfect
Trendy neighborhood spot for great wine, cocktails and food. We popped in and were lucky to get a spot outside. Reservations are recommended. We did not have one but someone had just left and we got their spot. We had the chicken sandwich and the gnocchi. We both couldnt get over how good the gnocchi was. These were not the heavy gummy gnocchi you find in most Italian restaurants, these were little pillows of wonder. They were light and held the cream sauce so well. We honestly cant wait to go back and try more. 2 drinks and two entrees were a modest $60. plus tip. Great job!
Captures the Seminole Heights energy beautifully. Been here several times already and chosen something new to eat each time. Never been disappointed. Cocktails are amazing. Staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and just genuinely nice.
Fantastic service, amazing drinks. Enjoyed live music and outdoor seating.
This place has excellent fast service and lackluster food. My chicken sandwich lacked flavor, the fries are the worst Iβve had in Seminole Heights, and the tacos were confused. The menu is incredibly boring besides the whole βcβ gimmick. Almost all charcuterie sand cheeses were described by the menu as βclassicβ or βtraditionalβ in flavor. So why have a descriptor? When I first got the menu I was confused that it was a lunch menu and expected something besides a sandwich for the dinner menuI think the decor is tacky and not very well doneThe presentation of the food is more important that the vessel it came in. Food was flying everywhere because it was served on a board to shallow for the food
My husband and I enjoyed a really nice and romantic dinner here. We went on a Thursday and arrived around 4:30, parking was still available. I called ahead and made a reservation, requesting inside seating. We ordered the chefs board, which was delicious! We also ordered the Poutine and Carne Asada street tacos to share. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. We ended the night with a flight of cheesecake. My husband has always claimed he didnt like cheesecake, but he ate more than me! We also got a cupcake and chocolate chip cookie to go. That may have been the best cookie I ever had. Over all we had a great time and I would recommend going. By the time we were leaving, all of the parking was filled and most of the tables were already taken. I would definitely recommend calling for a reservation, and going earlier rather than later if you arent sure where to find parking elsewhere.
Extraordinarily disappointing birthday celebration with my family. We had the two year old with us and asked if server would wear a mask if theyβre not vaccinated. They promised the manager would come over to address this. She never did. Was charged for a cocktail that never arrived. Birthday cupcake came after check was dropped and we were leaving. So dissatisfied. Then called the manager after and she pedantically sent a ten dollar gift card. I certainly wonβt use it. Never again.
Quaint place. Stopped here for some takeout pastries. We decided to take home the chocolate chip cookies. The chocolate in the cookies looked more like strips of chocolate bars and not chips which gives it a more gourmet appeal. . Very tasty cookies but maybe a bit salty perhaps? Out of 6 cookies three were possibly not fully cooked and had doughy areas to them For $3 a cookie they were pretty big and seemingly not made with cheap chocolate or other ingredients. We did not eat dinner here. Looks like a nice atmosphere to eat but I did not inspect the menu. A few televisions outside showed some sports. The staff we encountered was very friendly.
Went here for my birthday, and had a good experience. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was super tasty. The burger that I ordered was perfect and very very tasty. I would for sure go back in the future.
It Was my first time in the C House and the food was great and our waiter was sooooo amazing thanks you so much Erika ! π―
Wow! Amazing food. The swordfish was incredible. Great drinks. The vibe in the space is very cool.
Great vibe, great food and top notch service! Thoroughly enjoyed our experience...we had a party of 9 and the bar staff prior to seating was great and our server Sara was outstanding. If you are looking for something past run of the mill The C House brings and awesome vibe, great staff and amazing food.
The C Restaurant is in a surprising location, I almost missed it during my navigational drive. However, once I turned around, I found a very eclectic place.I ordered the cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was one of the best burgers I ever had and the fries were hot and tasty. This is a must place to visit and dine.
I was really excited to try this place. Good place, not great. Was not what I expected. Ordered the 5 charcuterie plate. The prosciutto was not fresh and fish tacos were okay.
One of my favorite places in the Heights. The burger is to die for, and if you can snag a spot for brunch, you WONT be disappointed :) Make sure you dont miss out on the numerous amazing cheesecakes either!!
The wings, and the grilled swordfish over risotta were excellent. The craft cocktails were presented beautifully. We sat at the bar outside. Hailey and Kadai were great!
The C House is simply a wonderful place to dine-in and listen to great live music! The staff is stellar and seem to be hand-picked by the owners/managers (Who really care about the customers) from the bartenders to the chefs to the waitresses and waiters to the hostesses. They all are so polite And attentiveβοΈ The inside is perfect for a romantic date with your significant other. The outside is a place where you can bring friends to hang and chat and watch sports π And or listen to great music πΆ. The food is superbππΎ
Food was delicious. Downside is that we were sitting at the table for about 45 minutes until we finally got our food. We didnt have reservations but they had open seating outside available for us. Highly recommend you make reservations before coming here. The service is inconsistent and often lacking. We came back here another time to order food and they saw we wanted to order food but didnt come to take our order for 30 minutes and by then the kitchen closed.
This was a horrible restaurant. The service was awful and the manager was even worse. When we arrived we were impressed by how beautiful the restaurant was. We were very soon disappointed. It took 20 min for us to even get to order our food and we even had a reservation. We ordered one of their cheese boards for $16 only to receive 4 small triangles of cheese and a bunch of random items on the board such as honey. The actual quality of the board was not worth the $16. We then asked the manager for more cheese to which she replied that we would have to pay an additional $8 just for a few more pieces of cheese. When our wings came out, my sister tried hers and began to have an allergic reaction to them. We asked what kind of oil they were cooked in, turned out to be canola which she cannot have. We sent them back. The waitress asked if we wanted something else and we said no thank you. I never got my water refilled, had to ask for more. Then, the waitress just brought a pitcher of water for me to pour myself. We were there for an hour and a half! It was ridiculous. We had to ask for our check, which took more than 10 min to bring. Once the check was brought we noticed they had charged us for the wings which we took 1 bite out of!!! We told the waitress and she replied that yes we had to pay for the wings. We asked for the manager because never in my life have I had to pay for food that we did not eat. The manager came and made it seem that it was my sisters fault for not asking before ordering what kind of oil the food is made in. She continued to act like we needed to pay for the wings since the allergy was not made clear before ordering. We told her that we did not even get to eat the wings due to noticing the allergic reaction so soon. She finally said she would take the wings off. Never have I had such horrible service in what appeared to be such a nice restaurant. Highly disappointed and would not recommend! Do not waste your money here. Just horrible.
Really nice spot to sit outside and grab a pricey bite. Solidly good, with potential to be great if they push the creativity a bit in the kitchen.
The food is excellent and the servers and bar tenders were friendly and fast. The charcuterie board we had was delicious. We also had a caprese salad that was amazing. All of the drinks we tried were great. Andrew Ricker was playing outside and was the perfect musical accompaniment to the food and drinks. All around a very nice afternoon.
Not a great experience here. We had to wait a long time for our server to come to our table after being greeted by a not so friendly or helpful hostess. Apparently the server wasnβt notified that she had a table to serveβ¦.but she was super nice and apologetic. I think we would have enjoyed our food if it werenβt for the INSANE amount of flies all overβ¦..I understand that sitting outdoors comes with having a few here and there, but they were literally everywhere. The table next to us was swatting them with their napkins. It made it impossible to enjoy dinner. I think their dumpster may be right near the tablesβ¦.eeww. And I also saw 2 employees walk out right behind us carrying giant pots of somethingβ¦they walked past the tables and poured whatever was inside into a big box like container that was not far from where we were all seated. Iβm sure it was food related contents and possibly adding to the amount of flies. The poutine fries wouldβve been very tasty if I didnβt have a swarm of flies attacking them before I could enjoy! Unfortunately we wonβt be back!
This restaurant was a great find and perfect for a date night! The atmosphere is very hip and trendy. Our food was delicious and tasted fresh to order. We dined out on the porch as we had our dog with us and the wait staff was very accommodating. The prices were a little much, but overall not bad for what you get. I would recommend to anyone in the area looking for something new!
Have been looking forward to visiting this spot and finally got a chance to go on Saturday. Went mid-afternoon to avoid the crowds but it was a beautiful day and outside seating was busy. Took a seat at the bar, decided to have a drink and wait to see if one of high tops would open up. We were in luck and a table became available soon so we checked with the bartender to see if it was okay to move and if our drinks would transfer. She assured us it was not a problem so we made our move. We stood by the table waiting for someone to clear the dishes for at least 15 minutes. After a while we raked everything over to the other side of the table and sat down sitting away from the dirty table. We waited a little longer and finally stopped one of the servers and asked for help clearing the table. Soon after someone did clear the table but never came back to wipe the dirty surface. We finally took our napkins and cleaned it ourselves. Not good practice in regular times but during Covid, unacceptable!! Still we held out hope.Had to ask again for someone to take our order and the manager came out and was apologetic. We placed our order with her and looked forward to a better experience, unfortunately that did not happen. Our food was delivered and thats the last we saw of anyone even after we asked for a water refill. Our glasses had been empty since before we placed our food order. Stopped servers and made the request again at least 3 times but no response. Finally, we stopped someone and asked for a box, our check.....and more water. He was very polite but proceeded to walk back to the bar, make drinks for others and himself and made no attempt to return to our table. At this point I went inside and found the manager. I explained that our experience was disappointing, that I was not angry but felt that she needed to know about the things that had happened in order to fix them. She was polite and kind, said shed talk to her staff and come back to check on us. That was the last time we saw her and to be honest, I think she purposely avoided us the rest of our stay.I have never contemplated leaving without paying our tab but we did and left, again without any contact with the staff and empty water glasses. On the bright side it was a beautiful day, I was with my favorite person and the entertainment on the patio was amazing. The musician was incredibly talented and wish I had thought to ask his name. He was the highlight of our visit. We left our tip in his jar rather than on the check.
Perfect takeaway meal! Even though DoorDash was being a pain and had to order direct, I had a great Easter meal (chefβs selection of a wedge salad, chimichurri steak frites and I couldnβt decide on which dessert so I got both!). The cookie had giant chips and sea salt on top, the cupcake today was carrot cake (fitting for Easter π°π¬).Thank you to the service staff and chefs that are still hard at work to safely serve locals amazing food through these crazy times. π (I was able to drive up, stay in my car...food was delivered by an employee with gloves).
We went for a birthday brunch. We had a table of 6. Everything was going lovely until it came time for our food to arrive. Everyone at the table received their food except for me. I was left over 40 minutes without a meal making the entire situation very awkward as the rest of the table tried to offer me their food etc. The restaurant offered me a cup cake. I asked for and spoke to the manager. My food was comped as it arrived 45 minutes late and once everyone in the party was already done eating. I still paid for my drinks and appetizer. The server was super sweet but I do not feel they took care of the situation appropriately. I expected far more and am frankly disappointed at the experience. What should have been a lovely brunch celebrating my friends big day turned into 40 minute awkward discussion of where my food was and would I like to pick off others plate.
The C house is amazing, Iβve been there twice now and my service was amazing. Kent has been our server both times now and he is so attentive! He recommended the feature burger and it was mouth watering. Kent is a stellar server.Great staff, great music, great place to go on a Friday night, reservations are recommended.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Nice atmosphere with a wonderful outdoor eating area also.
My friends and I Went to happy hour, the beer was extremely hot . cocktails were expensive and food was just OK . but our server was very nice and on the ball. one persons check was $48 without a tip. I had a hamburger one mixed drink and a beer.
Great dun place to hang with old friends, make new ones, and enjoy the weather. Charcuterie boards there are SO good. Worth a visit anytime youre nearby
Love the ambiance, the burger and our stellar waitress! Will be back!
I went maybe two weeks ago for lunch. Sat on the patio and was it not very busy. Service was fine. The food however well that is different. It looks amazing but the taste is a bit bland. I had the crustacean roll and I was just underwhelmed. It looked goo but the taste just wasnβt there. My boyfriend had the fried chicken sandwich and he stated it was also bland. Iβm not sure if the food is seasoned. Crazy thing is both our sandwiches came with fries and they were served cold but over seasoned π€ I know odd. We actually did not finish any of the food.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was awesome, especially the cheesecake!
Sat at the bar for 15 mins before someone noticed me. Only 4 people at the bar. Ordered the crustacean sandwich, it had to be the worst most overpriced sandwich Iβve had. 4 shrimps on a piece of white bread without butter and a couple of crawfish tails. 2 stars bc the fries were good. And it actually has a cool outdoors area.
I had such high hopes for this place in the beginning. The drinks are amazing and I loved the charcuterie board. Unfortunately the service was really lacking, our waiter would leave us for 45 minutes at a time. We asked for a new knife which was never delivered. And the chicken sandwich was incredibly bland. I love the ambiance of this place, the outdoor seating, and the live music. I just wish my entree and the service were better!
Today we celebrated my dads 81st birthday! We had excellent service, delicious food, and listened to great music the whole time!
The only reason Im giving it two stars is because of the food quality. The food was amazing, however our service was terrible. Sever only greeted and took our order and never once came back. It was at almost 30mins with empty glasses and empty plates that I had to get someone to get our check. We didnt even get to eat any entrees, the sever only came and took our apps and drink orders. Unfortunately even though the food was good we will most likely never come back.
Ordered cajun fries...however the theory sounded great however Im not a fan of soggy fries and most the fries was soggy because they had it drenched in sauce and oil..food was good though....nice place...
