Driving luxury cars is one thing, the maintenance or luxury branded cars can get tricky, but not with Sam. It’s simple as a dimple, no pimple! I always drive off feeling like his prices are to realistic(good to be true), especially for a luxury brand car. Maybe he’s such a well mannered man(customer service) the prices seem less expensive. He won’t tax you, just because you have money or are driving luxury cars. Been with Sam since 2005.

We have been taking our vintage Volvos to Sam and Soto for years. They are super mechanics, totally honest and trustworthy, and always timely and professional. They provide great recommendations about repairs that should be done, and when. They also make great referrals to other shops for things like body and upholstery work, which have always worked out great.

Wow, blessed that I was able to find a honest and knowledgeable guy like Sam. We drive a Mercedes C300 and I was having issues with the battery been drained. The dealer wanted to charge me $150 just to diagnose. I called couple of other mechanics in my area of Wesley Chapel and Land O’ Lakes and they were to busy to see me and it will be couple of days before having the chance to bring the car. Also they wanted to charge me from $100 to $125 just to look at my car. Sam was super busy but told me he will check the car for free in the morning and then let me know the diagnosis. To my surprise he called me when he said! But the shocking part was that he told me the quick fix he did to fix the situation and did not wanted to charge me for his diagnose because it was something “simple”. He went in details about the problem and what he did find the problem and fix it. Wow, I live 35 miles away and I bet I will pass hundreds of mechanic shops on my way to him. But no way I will use someone else in there future. Trust is something very hard to find while dealing with mechanics. And I did find that with Sam and his team. God will bless people like him. To Start off, if I could give more than five stars I would. I personally was in a bad situation with my car, to where the engine actually ended up throwing a rod (Not due to negligence). The gentleman at this repair shop were very professional, and made a deal that I couldnt pass up. Even better than Hyundai themselves. I had a 2010 Hyundai Genesis coupe 3.8 track, and this shop alerted me on everything that looked like it needed replacing. Honestly, as they told me about the items I could tell they werent trying to cheat me out, because I could remember having problems with each of the components. Sam was especially amazing, making sure the car was in as good of working order as he could before releasing it back to me. Honestly If you are looking for a shop that you can trust, and that they wont steer you wrong, then this is definitely the place. Besides the quality of work, I cannot express strongly enough the sense of trust I had in Rick and Sam. I had been putting off work on my Honda Odyssey for a while because I was worried about advantage being taken of my lack of car mechanics knowledge. The absolute best repair shop in Tampa they are knowledgeable and dont try and take advantage of you by selling you some repair you dont need. Sam was friendly and knowledgable about my car. I am from out of state and my older Volvo was making a noise. I drove over here and called them (social distancing, COVID19) to see if I could make an appointment or have it looked at. They took the car in and checked it over and fixed the issue. Also, a tail light had just gone out. All fixed, no charge, and I was on my way. Ive added them to my contacts so when Im back here next year, I know where to get my car serviced.

Very decent repair shop and great service they dont try and gouge you with unnecessary repairs the prices are better than most repair shops, and they do a fantastic job of getting your vehicle repaired and back to you owner is super and willing to work with you on cost, repairs we had done were 300 bucks cheaper than 2 other shops we checked out. I first became aware of SE Automotive because a Sales Associate at a local dealership highly recommended them to me to replace my fuel pump. I called around and got several price quotes before making the decision, and SE Automotive had the fairest price. Ever since then Ive been going there for my oil changes and other fixes. Theres a guy there named Sam who always helps me with any questions, recommendations, and decisions about my Volvo. Hes honest and the quotes he gives me are the lowest in my area. Theyve always had my truck ready in the date they said it would be completed, and they have great customer service.

My wife took her Volvo in for service work in January and said they were quick and very friendly. I decided to give them a try last week when my Acura needed an oil change and I could not have been more pleased. Great repair shop for general purpose car repair. Ive been coming here for years. This shop will tackle any make, but the reason I go is that they really know Volvos. It is the only place I take mine for service. I would give it a five if it werent for the tight parking situation. As far as staff goes, they are friendly and informative, and do not upsell. They really look for the most cost effective solution, and us one if the few garages I have ever experienced that meets their time estimates. It is located in a industrial area (Drew Park), but is convenient to downtown and the Westshore district.

Make an appointment before you go. Also so the estimate they gave me which is too much. They were charging double for the parts. Just make sure you justify atleast parts price online or somewhere else before get it from them.

Honest, they tell you whats wrong with the car and what it will cost without charging you for diagnosing the problem.
