I waited a few months before leaving a review to make sure I wasn’t writing a review out of a frustrated place. I wish I read this company’s Google reviews before ordering. Shopping here was the most frustrating experience. I waited almost 6 months before receiving my sofas which I could have purchased directly from Ashley Homestore. I waited nearly 7 months for my sofas. She kept blaming the pandemic but 6 months?! It’s crazy because I purchased 9 items directly from Ashley Homestore and all pieces arrived in under 2 months. I wish I did that from the onset. The lady’s attitude was very rude, often getting short with me and even blaming me for having to wait so long for a sofa set because I was unwilling to pick another sofa set that she had in stock. Why would I do that when I’ve paid money for one I want and need due to the color scheme of my home? Do yourself a favor and just don’t buy from here.

Me and my wife decided to visit this place yesterday to look at furniture but the moment we walked in the Palmer lady quickly gave us the run around about wearing your face mask in her store due to Covid and that if we wanted to look at anything that we could just look online. Seriously? Both of our masks were in my pocket and I was about to give my wife hers and put mine on but instead she wanted to come at us very rude. I immediately walked out but my wife stayed and listened to whatever she had to say. I dont do business with stupidity and Im proud to say we went elsewhere that day and bought our living room furniture with no hassle. Do not waste your time at this place!

The lady was rude and very poor service do not go here it’s not worth your time and definitely isn’t the cheapest. She was talking about me and my mother to another customer while waiting on someone else. And just being rude and very poor mannered. She literally went out of her way to say and make fun of the stuff we were looking for. Her behavior is disgusting and very unprofessional and makes it difficult to just get what you need. I will never give her business the time of the day and hopefully y’all don’t have either cause no one should have to be treated like that.

Customer service was awful. Went in to purchase a dining set. Older lady seemed very unconcerned and uninterested in reference to my purchase told me if I wasn’t ready to purchase it would be useless for her to show me the item I wanted. Told me I could look in the catalog. Wow really? Left went directly to Ashley Furniture purchase my dining set for a few dollars more. But it was worth it because the customer service at Ashley’s was superb. Maybe she was having a bad day.

If I could give this place a negative 5 I would. Came in to buy a mattress set. She belittled me asking why a cheaper set. Then while waiting on someone else proceeded to talk about me about why I would want a cheap set. I went to respond and she blatantly was extremely rude in saying for me to shut up she was talking to someone else. I would rather pay triple the amount of money for something than ever go into this place. She is the older lady with grey hair. Rude is even being a nice word!!!

Best priced furniture in the area. Ran by a single person, so it might take time to get your desired furniture. But its worth it because if you actually do research, she sells EVERYTHING, including the Ashley furniture, for half the cost that you would pay going to an Ashley furniture store. The people who left a review about bad beds clearly didnt order beds that she had instore, and blindly ordered one from her website. She carries amazing memory foam beds in store. Bad reviews are all from college kids who are impatient, and blindly selected what they wanted. The store owner gave us her honest opinion on things we selected, and sway us the right way because she knows furniture could be costly, and didnt want us to end up regretting anything. Will definitely go back as long as I live in the area and need more furniture.

I will let you know if my compressed mattress can be replaced or refund my money. Mattress didnt completely decompress and is very uncomfortable

I ordered furniture off of the website and the only thing I got was a confirmation email saying that my order was placed. I waited a couple of days and still nothing. So I decided to call and check up on my order. She told me that people usually call before they order anything off line. Which made no sense to me at all because the way that it is advertised it makes it seem likes it in stock and ready. So she said that she would work with me. I Agreed and then later (like the next day) I decided to cancel my order and she was super condescending towards me. Saying things like other people would love to have the furniture you giving up and things of that nature. Then she told me my refund was going to take 3 weeks to a full month before I have my funds back on my card. I should’ve read the other reviews before I ordered from here. Yes they are cheap but, it’s a hassle when you need items by a certain date. I should’ve just went to American Freight. I learned my lesson. Sometimes cheaper isn’t the best option.

The owner Ms. Palmer was phenomenal. She spent so much time with us and was very kind and helpful. The furniture arrived in only 2.5 days from ordering it. Very fast. Owner was accommodating when constant raining held us up in picking up the order. When having an issue with one piece of furniture, she quickly ordered a replacement. I would definitely do business with get again. Oh yes, one more thing, in a time when money is tight, she even saved us money on the same furniture by ordering through her instead of manufacturer directly.

Oredered furniture but Ms Palmer was difficult to deal with not much help picking what to order and she always seems confused when you ask her a question. She is attempting to operate a large store by herself and one warehouse helper. Phones ringing and lots of people walking in. Impossible situation!When I called after the date the furniture was scheduled to arrive she scolded me for calling. When I offered to call back in a week she repled calling me wont get it here sooner dont call. About 15 minutes later she called and said it was all there, and she asked me to come and get it. I said I would try. The next day my wife and I drove two seperate vehicles 30 miles to pick up the furniture. As usual (happened three times to us) she was late opening the store.When i gave her my ticket she said some of its here! I said we just did a convoy and drove a while and you said it was here !!!! An argument ensued where she denied everything. She argued with me non-stop and said I need to be nice to her because of COVID! We finally got our furniture that was all there, but a pain overall!!!!I need a whole house of funriture but will never go back to her, she is a old grumpy, confused lady with the social skills of a monkey!!!! Shame prices good

I purchased a dinning room table and chairs from this store and initially Ms. Palmer was quite friendly, although she repeatedly asked me to leave a five star review, which made me uncomfortable. The estimated delivery was 1-2 weeks, but 3 weeks later the table still had not arrived. I called and spoke with Ms. Palmer who said my order had been delayed. I asked when it was expected to arrive and she replied that she did not have that information available. I requested that she cancel my order, but she became very hostile, cited an “all sales final” policy and refused. I waited another 6 weeks before the table and chairs finally arrived. I will not be shopping here again.

I purchased a sofa here and initially Ms. Palmer was very friendly. I explained that I needed the sofa by a certain date and she agreed. The date came and went and when I called to ask where the sofa was Ms. Palmer became very rude and said and that she couldn’t do anything about it. When I reminded her she had agreed to a certain date she flat out denied it. She couldn’t give me a date of when the sofa would actually arrive, so I requested her to cancel my order, but she refused. When the sofa was finally delivered (over a month late!) the plastic packaging was damaged and the couch was stained! I called numerous times to complain, but Ms. Palmer just yelled into the phone that it “wasn’t her problem”. I will not be going back to that store.

At first the experience was wonderful then things fell apart. Delivery was a day late and after 6pm. Guy showed up without the proper tools to assemble the furniture. Left to buy what he needed from Walmart, never returned. No contact from him until I called Mes Palmer. He said he would be back Sat morning at 10:30. No show again, called her and got the hes a subcontractor spiel. Not worth the hassle for poor follow up and no show subcontractors. This was a gift for my parents, they were happy with the furniture, frustrated by the service. NEVER AGAINUpdate: She sent someone to assemble the furniture. If I could leave a negative rating I would. PLEASE READ THIS COLLEGE STUDENTS. The situation I had with my roommate could happen to ANY OF YOU.We found this place through a sibling helping us look for a furniture store in Tallahassee. In March we went to the store and had our very first encounter with D. Palmer over the phone (She was closed due to Covid). She was VERY VERY RUDE to my friends. She hung up on them. Not realizing we were together in the same vehicle I called her off my phone and acted as if we didn’t just have this same exact conversation and she was EXTREMELY nice to me. Later we visit the store and check things out. She claims she has the best furniture in Tallahassee. We drove to check out the mattresses and physically see the bed sets on the website . The mattresses are hard. Just saying . Got mine from American Freight. It was cheaper and better quality. Back to the situation. May 2020 We ended up putting TWO COUCHES on layaway for our move at the end of July and was planning on getting all of our other furniture from there. She pleaded and begged for us to shop with her. We visited again because she was having a “free area rug” promotion and because we walked out empty handed she started running behind us. LITERAY! It’s like she’s desperate for a transaction . We told her we would have to go somewhere else if our couches can’t be ready by THE END of July. She said she can promise this and we would have to pay it off 2 weeks before when we needed it. (THIS IS DURING COVID SO HER GUARANTEE SHOULD HAVE CHANGED AND UPDATED) We did that exactly . Once my roommate sent the last payment we called her to verify how we would have to pick up. She tells us we wouldn’t be able to get it when we wanted it. WHAT?!?! So, my roommate tells her don’t process the order and she’ll give her a call back in 30 minutes or less to see if we could find another option. 25 minutes later were CALLING HER PHONE and all of my roommates calls went straight to voicemail (WHICH MEANS SHE BLOCKED HER) because my calls were ringing and i called directly after her at least 5x. She eventually called ME back and said “Since I didn’t hear from you I processed the order” $630!!!! She basically said it would take 2 weeks to get a refund and had the audacity to try and get over on us. It’s 3 weeks later and the refund has not been returned. So my roommate calls her TODAY and she says “I don’t give refunds so I must have made an exception” you couldn’t even remember this? She’s a SCAMMER. Then she yells at you and tells you she has customers in line so she can avoid answering questions. DO NOT GO HERE! Just got to American Freight, Tallahassee Furniture Direct, Amazon, or even McDonald’s . You’ll have better service. But!!! We will be calling Ashley’s Furniture Billing today!

I came to this establishment on July 7th with the intention of furnishing an apartment for my business and Duana seemed very helpful and knowledgeable about the products. I was told that most of my furniture would arrive by July 16th, (plus or minus the shipping time) which arrived at their warehouse in Tallahassee. However, my dresser that was supposed to be here by August 8th, (plus or minus shipping time) will MAYBE be here in September. This has caused a significant delay in my business operation. I was told that even though the dresser may be available in September, things constantly change daily and it is not certain that I would have it EVEN after waiting for 2 months. I have bought furniture from 3 other retailers in Tallahassee and have never had this issue. COVID or no COVID, businesses should operate to serve and provide the services that customers paid for or temporarily close if they cannot meet the demand of the market. Hopefully I can provide a better update soon!

Great prices but dont expect a fancy showroom. Very little furniture in stock but we found a couch that was perfect for my husbands man cave for several hundred less than elsewhere. You have to pay up front and wait for delivery but the couch arrived in only 2 days and was perfect. We had to find someone to deliver it. This store is definitely no frills, but if you want nice name brand furniture at a great low price its worth the minor hassles.

Seems as if theres only 1 lady working alone and she isnt able to answer many questions. Covid situation doesnt help as there are many back orders so what you see online may not be available in the warehouse.

I used this store to furnish my new home. I was in the process of closing on a home and going on vacation but I worked with the staff here to make sure everything would be in when I got back. I made the purchase about a month in advance (plenty of time, I was told) and timed it so that I could get my items the day I got back. A month. So I call while on vacation to make sure everything is ready. Turns out no, not all the items are in... communication post purchase has been hell, very snappy and just didnt seem to care. Quick, snappy, and rude not what the beginning process was like at all. I called and asked if my bed was in, and was told at least the mattress was in, so I could sleep on that until the rest of my items arrived. Thanks...? It took about 3 months to get all my items. The only reason I am giving 2 stars and not 1 is the gentleman that works there was polite and got back in touch with me at least once or twice. 5/5 pre purchase stars, she really helped me with cost and i said I would give a review, but def. a 1/5 experience.

I had a challenge trying to locate a high quality and appropriately sized dining room set with only 1week lead time before Thanksgiving. The owner at TDF gave me solid info ahead of time regarding product availability and shipping times to improve my chances of success. Today is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving so with wiggle room left to spare, and I am in possession of our new set! The online website says all mattresses are discontinued. Tried talking chat but it wants my first name, last name, email address etc... before it will even chat with me. Then I tried the number from website to call out of order. Then I went back to Google to get number from there to call it went to VM. Yes we are in a pandemic which means either you are open or closed. The site should say one or the other and it states it is open.

Customer service was terrible. Rude to my wife. Took our money knowing they didnt have the item in stock. Tried to push a different item on us. Condescending. Gave us a run around on giving a refund. Bad business practices. No reason to shop here. Too many other decent businesses in town to reward with your time and money.

I had a great experience with Tallahassee Discount Furniture. All my items, Damacio sectional, storage bed, mattress and bunk bed arrived in great condition. They gave us the best prices for the furniture. I didnt give them five stars because I paid for delivery on the sectional and they did deliver but I had to unload it myself. But it wasnt that big of a deal because I would have had to rent a uhaul or make several trips to get all that stuff myself. I would DEFINITELY recommend them to a friend.

Wed fallen in love with one that we saw in Turners and went into Tallahassee Discount Furniture not expecting much. Although we arrived about 20 minutes before the store closed the sales lady provided us great customer service unlike the sales lady in Ashley when we arrived right before they closed and she rushed us out. TDF does price match and the furniture is delivered pretty fast. I will definitely be returning

Be aware of her lies about other furniture companies. My fiance bought some furniture from her, she asked for good reviews yet she failed to deliver what she promised and refused to give refund. I order Chaise couch and recliner and dresser with mirror. The couch and dresser came a week later which is what Im used to seeing from Ashley furniture as it is not my first Ashley purchase. I called the day my couch was to be in and was told with snootiness that I had to wait and I would have been ok if this woman was nice about it but she wasnt. My boyfriend spoke with her as well and said there is ignorance for sure. I then after almost 3 weeks of no recliner decided to say cancel it. Called ominous and they said ok. Then I contacted this woman back and told her listen ill wait. She insisted I come and sign off on it. Even though I said several times I will wait. Then she proceeds to tell me she buys all this stuff which I know but then WHY tell someone NO when they changed their mind. Then dont complain anymore since they shot me down saying it was a lot of trouble her and okinus went through lol okinus said it takes 5 minutes and that the original contract was still open. Okinus contacted her back and explained the contract is still fine and once again SHE turned it down. She claims she tried everything to make me happy but yet she refused to just say OK ill call when it gets here. Instead she sends me a text on how she will be out this money and on and on.. This is ridiculous! She chose not to continue. She also stated she canceled it from Ashley and not sure why she wouldnt get her money back then since it was canceled on her end too. The help is wonderful and friendly but I will pass word around because she should not be dealing with the public. I should have listened to others that warned me..

I remembered the awesome Ashley bedroom set I purchased there last year and the crazy low price I paid for my beautiful set, so I went back this year for my livingroom set. This store never disappoints, the low prices on their furniture is no comparison to other furniture stores Ive compared locally, not sure how they are able to have such low prices on quality brand name items but i wasnt going to argue about it. They were very helpful while my fianceé and I were in the store. When we called them a few days later to see if they were able to place our order and to inquire when it would possibly arrive the owner basically scolded my fianceé for calling 4 business days after we placed the order. I was not impressed with her attitude at all. I probably wont be shopping there again.

Tallahasee Discount Furniture. My husband and I had a horrible experience. My mother-in-law has cancer and is coming to live with us. We live in 2 bedroom apartment with our daughter. Our daughter willingly gave up her bedroom so my mother-in-law would have a place to sleep We decided to look for and purchase a sofa sleeper. Found one at TDF. We bleseed someone with our old sofa because it was in great condition. Ordered the sleeper sofa went to pick it up it was wrapped in plastic. Brought it home unloaded it began to unwrap the plastic it had a board on the back of the sofa with many small screws. Proceeded to unscrew the board on the back of the sofa and noticed the bottom was broke. Loaded it back on the truck returned it to TDF explained to her what we found she was apologetic and said she would order another sofa bed. Called to inquire as to when the second sofa bed would arrive she told us it should be here soon. She also stated that she was doing us a favor by reordering a new sofa bed. I asked how is that she stated because it looks like your teenage son kicked in the back of the sofa. I was shocked to say the least. Told her that was untrue and that our son is 35 and knows what hes doing because he does that kind of work the only thing we did was unwrap and began to unscrew the screws and noticed the bottom was damaged. She disputed everything I said basically calling me a liar and talked over me not allowing me to say much, therefore I asked her to cancel the order. She refused saying she had already reordered the sofa. Told her we would call the finance company and cancel she told me to go ahead they want cancel unless she agrees.
