Dropped my review because for the last several months the store has been lacking in good quality pieces. It seems theyre now only accepting clothing from fast fashion companies like forever 21, & h&m. Or theyre full of t-shirts that say things like live, laugh, love and its kind of cringy. Im not sure what demographic they are targeting anymore but its definitely no longer young adults. Do they not know that vintage things are in? Someone needs to tell them that vintage things are in.You can still find cute clothes though, and the prices are reasonable! I guess its just not my cup of tea anymore, which makes me sad.

I love buying clothes here for super cheap! But I brought in two huge bags of clothes this morning. There was brand new true religion jeans. Jessica Simpson heels. White House black market shoes basically brand new. Not a single sign of wear on them. Couple pairs of bigots jeans. Some Victoria secret jackets. Nike jackets. Basically all super nice name brand things. And the girl working lied straight to my face told me they werent interested in any of them and little did I know until I got home that she didnt even go through the bags of clothes. Nothing was even touched. All the clothes were exactly where I had put them walking into the store. Just ridiculous being turned away because of what? The way that I looked? Cause its Sunday I have a very very busy two year old and i didnt brush my hair before I left? Or I didnt put makeup on and look up to her liking? I dont know what it was. But I think its bullshit for her to one LIE and act like she looked at my clothes and two for her to just deem them not good enough or worthy or whatever because of who brought them in. I love getting clothes there but today pissed me off so much it will be a long time before I bring my business there or recommend it to anyone else

LOVE this store! I always go in knowing I will find something cute without spending much. The employee team that used to be there greeted me with a smile and knew me by name and were super welcoming and helpful but that part kind of unfortunately changed. But still a great place to shop!!

I was actually worried that my size would be an issue. Nope! They had a fairly good selection of clothes for my size and I found some lovely tops for myself (more than I could say for pants or shoes, but eh, cant get everything). The sales clerk was very nice and had a nice chat with me at the counter as she processed the sale. Will definitely be coming here again! :)

Great clothing and so cheap. You can also bring clothing to them for money or store credit. It just feels good when youre doing something that makes our world a better place to live. We need to abandon the need for so much stuff. This is a great place to start and they have really cute clothing and accessories!

Treasure hunting at Runway is always a great time! I love the hip/funky environment and love that it is the ONE place that both my children and I love to shop!!! I never buy a purse without going to runway first! The sales staff are sweet and always cheerful and helpful. WE go nearly every day for back to school, and Im able to save a ton! I would recommend Runway highly!!

I like this place more than Platos Closet. Their racks are well labeled and they dont overcrowd them. Staff seems pretty friendly most of the time. I have yet to try selling any clothes to them, so no opinion there.

I have both sold and bought clothes here! And I will be returning every time Im in need. I discovered this store about 4/5 months ago when I was in need of selling some clothes and I had went to platos closet horrible experience there so I decided to use google and see if there were any other stores like them and first one that pops up is fashion runway exchange I brought 2 garbage bags in and they ladies were so nice and helpful didnt take long and they took majority of my items so thankful I found this store! Going in today to find some new clothes!! Thank goodness this store is around!

Went in for the first time yesterday, great selection of stuff and found some super cute, on trend items for low prices. Great place to go for shoes also because most of their shoes are new. However it takes more time than a regular clothing store to go through the racks to find the better items

The clothes I tried to sell to them were in the best condition nearly brand new and they didn’t accept them. Told me they were not good condition. Made us wait a long time just to waste it. Also they didn’t except purses that were basically brand new

Love, love, love shopping here! The staff is always so friendly, and willing to help me find anything that I want, and need! They are also very willing to offer helpful fashion tips, and find clothing that looks good! The price is always great, and I love the fact that the clothing is so lightly used, it could just as easily be found on the racks at the mall! I must go here at least once a month, and Ill continue to update my wardrobe from this store!

I’m giving 3 stars because before I ever tried selling clothing to runway, I was in love with this store. 5 stars if you wanna shop (not sell) there. The employee there said my never been worn shoes from Macy’s (still in the boxes and original packaging) and never been worn Levi skinny stretchy jeans and another shirt or two were worth $10.80 -_-I didn’t have to accept but I did because I’m overwhelmed with clothes I’m selling. LITERALLY the next day someone on Mercari wanted to buy one pair of the sandals for $23....

Some mens clothing. A larger variety of women clothing, belts, shoes, purses, scarves, jewelry and other accessories. Fitting rooms with full length mirrors. Clean and arranged well. A place where you can also sell your gently used items. Easy access and parking.

The best prices for good quality, name brand, used clothing. Runways customer service cant be beat. Emily helped me find what my daughter needed in no time. Thank you Emily for helping us make our deadline and for finding cute clothes. My daughter has a smile on her face!

Better than platos closet. Theyre prices are way better. They also dont shove as much stuff as they can on the racks. That way its easier and more manageable to go through.

The clothes for girls are in style. I always can find brands like H&M, forever 21, american eagle, and stylish clothes you would see at the mall and all at least under 10$ usually, unless its jeans, shoes, or accessories. I can usually find yoga pants under 10$, shirts ranging from 5-6$ and dress around 10$. This is THE place to shop in Tacoma if your on a budget. Its way better and cheaper than goodwill and a lot more stuff in style and greater quality than Ross. Platos Closet is a great place as well but .. they dont give cash back for your returns like Runway does, and also they dont give you as much money for your clothes as Runway does. I brought the same stuff into both shops to test it and Runway gave me more money for them. Runway is the only place i shop at.

Great business! thoroughly enjoyed the process. if youve got old used clothes they give a pretty decent price. I bought some nice things here too. please keep in mind youre not going to Nordstrom ok? this is a shop for used clothes dont complain about sizing they cant have it all...

I am a frequent shopper here and every time I come to the store there are new and exciting things I find. The staff is always so nice and helpful. I love being able to trade in my items for new things. I would suggest this shop to anyone that loves fashion, new trends, and excellent service.

Sold a long time ago and coming back soon. They take what will be in fashion a month or so before (bikinis, winter coats etc) they were very nice and Im excited to go back with some cute things I grew out of!They offer a deal or an in store credit for double the deal!

I love stopping by and finding some unique things I would have never seen at the mall. There are lots of other stores and restaurants near by so its fun to spend a few hours here during the weekend. Every now and then Ill bring in things for them to buy(good condition, still in style, and items theyre looking for like jeans before school starts in the fall) and I think they give you a fair amount of money especially if you pick store credit, which I love to do since I get rid of things Ive gotten bored of and I trade it in for something new Im in love with! And the sales associates have always been nice and helpful to me.

This a great option for people that cant afford to pay the outrageous prices for new clothes at the Malls. They have all the brand name clothes, just lightly used or worn and their prices are EXTREMELY AFFORDABLE!!

I was just in there several hours ago to try and correct something I assumed would be a nuisance from the get-go. I more or less assumed correctly, yet the ladies behind the counter were very patient and forthright, while professionally resolving the issue leaving me as satisfied as possible. Thank you to the staff of this particular Runway Exchange, just another reason I tend to shop for apparel there as opposed to the normal outlets.

I brought a bunch of nice clothes here. They did not take the majority of them. A pair of my Tory Burch pants were taken to be looked at and NEVER returned to me. I could care less if the salesperson was honest, I am now missing an expensive pair of pants. Do not bring clothing here. They do not pay well and they are dishonest. Worst experience ever. Try London Couture in downtown Tacoma, if you want to be respected.

Not the best place to sell your clothes. I exchanged my brand new clothes that I have not worn yet and most of them had price tags on them. I ended up only getting back $7.85. Would rather donate to the goodwill.

I took a full garbage bag in, and none of the items were taken. They said they were looking for summer and fall clothing. I bought some of both, some items were brand new with the tags on and not taken. I have read many similar reviews and it really makes me wonder what these places are looking for.

Everytime I go to Platos closet I feel like the staff think Im a theif and it makes me feel horrible. They didnt even look at my clothes because they were trying to get me out of the store asap and I was so, soooo angry. My dog was in the car so I was hovering in the back by the big glass window to keep an eye on her while I was shopping. I saw some cute red converse and was holding them while I was waiting. They took so long that my legs started hurting and naturally the only chair is the one next to the door. I put my purse on the floor so they wouldn’t think I was trying to steal them but they kept eyeballing me. After 10 min of awkward glances, the associate tells me, “Sorry but we didn’t find anything,” as the associate kept eyeballing the shoes in my hand and I said, “ okay, where can I pay for these?” As he rang me up I flashed my military ID and asked if they had a discount and then his persona completely changed and he started being more polite. After this experience I was so angry that I googled other establishments like Platos and found Runway. They bought almost EVERYTHING AND treated me like a person. This is my go to place now.

I always get great deals here! I put the sticker on my car and always go in and buy tons of things. Purses and perfumes shoes, wallets :) Even have guy clothing and shoes :) !!

Don’t like their offers, i also had a micheal kors wallet in my bag and they had the nerves to say it was fake, it was way better and they had better customer base, say goodbye to another customer!

I brought expensive brand new designer clothes with tags and got quoted such a low price it was appauling! About 10 percent of what it was sold for. I literally will never go there again to sell my clothes! Alot of items I tried to sell were brand new and looked alot better then some clothes they had on their shelfs but got turned away for one Bs reason or another. On the other hand you can find some cute clothes there fairly priced.

Worst business practices ever. Called from seattle told them i didnt want to drive down from seattle. They gave me a bid on the phone after verbatim description. Drive down they have me fill out paperwork to wait an hour. Then after asking for a bid they say they arnt the right style and wont bid on them.

Runway has the friendliest staff and they are always helpful ! I can go in there on any given day and find affordable and stylish clothes ! I highly suggest shopping there to get the best bang for your buck and great service !

I had the same experience took 2 huge bags as well. its almost like if you look (in there mind) eeewww the clothing probably came from an ewww home its ridiculous Im a mom to and just throwing something on to try and get something done on my todo lits! I had a few brand name clothing as well summer stuff and a lot of new dresses with tags and ones I thought they would be looking for sence prom is in a month stuff that I just got that month and she tells me a lot of your stuff is out of style!!!! What??? I have come here a few times and the same thing always happens to me! One time i got just like 10 things from my bags of stuff i couldnt believe they didnt get like a Michael kors belt and other name band items then took that in a day layter (I was all dressed up btw) and they took it all!!! My mind was blown! Like what changed a day layter nothing but me! And the amount i took in so i guess its better to take in small amounts at a time looking like you going to a job interview! not going to lie the price in this location is really not bad! They have a big selection of tops but literally nothing for men! They dont have that much of a selection in styles choice. The own girls probably just bye and return there own stuff just constantly exchanging I say this because a while back one of the girls there hit on my husband one day! he was pissed off after what they did to me that he played along making conversation with her asking how long had she work there and asking about her outfit and the displays keeping it casual and she fell for it and made all this comments then she asked for his number and it was what he was waiting for to stick it to her! He tells her (as he raises his voice) haha oh Im sorry I thought you were making polite costumer conversation I didnt know you were hitting on me Im sorry but thats so unprofessional your working Im married and my wife was just in now if you excuse me Id like to get back to my shopping good day thank you!!!! Hahaha he said it all in this ridiculous voice that you couldnt help but just laugh you but off!!!
