Hard to get me to give anybody 5 stars. Jakes is clean, courteous and honest. My wife brought her car there a while back and they told her that shed be better off taking it to the dealer because there was a recall on her car. Sure enough it was fixed by the dealership. Just got my inspection completed. They communicated with me about how much it was going to cost to pass inspection, as expected. No big surprises. The only thing keeping Jakes from getting 5 stars is their pricing. Its somewhat high in the competitive range, but if they were as good as they are, AND cheap, theyd get all 5.

Went in for an unknown issue and they found out my exhaust rusted through - they were able to give me an answer quickly and politely.Great customer service and did not try to force any unnecessary services! 10/10 would visit again!

It took two weeks to get into this garage for a simple oil change and then they end up charging me $82.57. For an oil change, on a V6 pickup truck. It was never mentioned to use synthetic so why did you go ahead and upcharge, when the paper behind your service desk states a standard oil change is in the 50 dollar range.

Had my car broken into, messed up the shifter! Chose to try out Jake’s Auto since this was the first time I needed some extensive work done on the interior. They did an awesome job, and got it done quick! Even did their best to clean up the glass all over the floor. Great experience and definitely would recommend driving the extra miles to get repairs done here! Thanks again!

Honest, fair prices, dependable!We’ve been coming here for a few seasons now. If you want a shop that offers trustworthy answers, Jake’s is it. We drive from miles away to use their services instead of anyone closer. On more than one occasion they have found a quick and inexpensive solution to mystery problems. They also helped us with a complicated exhaust issue for one of our vehicles.

I have had nothing but excellent service at Jakes for the past 5 years. The folks there are friendly and helpful. Bob actually takes the time to answer questions I have and explain things to me. The prices are competitive and reasonable. Ive never had to take the car back because something wasnt done right. I always feel confident that my vehicle is safe and sound when I leave the shop. I was referred to Jakes after my garage of 20 years went out of business due to unethical management. Glad I found a garage that values my business and not just my wallet.

I bring all of my vehicles here for anything larger than simple oil changes (they do those too). There is no project to large or small that they can’t handle it. I have been coming here for years. When I bring my cars to them I trust they are doing work that needs to be done, not work that helps them put more money on their profit line. They are respectful, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. Several years back, I had a car that needed an Emergency brake cable and none were being made for that vehicle. They fabricated and installed their own cable. The price was extremely reasonable and worked as good as when the car was new. I highly recommend these guys for any and all car repairs and will continue to bring all my cars there for years to come.

I had my front brakes done here not too long ago. It is very convenient for me, because I work right down the road. I made an appointment, and dropped my car off in the morning. They were finished with it very quickly, and called me after. I picked it up after work, and was very grateful the work was done correctly. I will likely request their services again in the future, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Best ever service at the best price. And the people are great, too. They keep to the schedule and, if its just an inspection, give you fair warning that you may need new tires or brakes at your next visit so you can plan ahead. Theyve always been accommodating when its an emergency. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

Absolutely incredible service got me right in on a Monday morning and was good to go by the end of the day!

On our way from Indiana to Vermont, our van started signaling problems with the oil pressure. Jake’s got us in and out quickly (even our 5 year old could handle the wait!). They diagnosed the problem for us, which fortunately could wait to be repaired, and got us back on the road again. Both the office staff and the mechanic we spoke with were friendly and professional. If we lived in the area, I would definitely go back!

Can’t say enough about Jake’s Automotive, Jake, Bob and the team have been my mechanics for years. I recently moved to Rochester 1.5hrs away......they have been and always will be my service shop and are worth the drive.If you have not tried them, make it a point to!!

I have been bringing my car to Jake’s for several years now and I have never had a better experience, which is why I continue to bring my car to them for all repairs and maintenance. You won’t be able to find any better mechanics nor any more pleasant people to deal with. Annette, Bob and Jake are wonderful! And the repairs to my car are typically done before the estimated time. Always a bonus to have door hinges, latches, hood latch and chassis lubed as well as tire pressure checked and all fluids topped off each time I bring the car in!! Amazing customer service!

I brought our van into Jakes for A/C service and to my surprise they informed me it was a simple fix. They got me in on last minutes notice, days before traveling south out of state where I knew we would need the A/C. The price was great and I got the feeling I underpaid for the service I received. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the shop is nice and clean. I know where Ill be taking my vehicles for the repairs that are over my head from now on. Thank you!

Id give these guys 6 stars if I could! I called them on a Wednesday morning and let them know that my brakes were making a godawful noise. The receptionist was extremely pleasant to speak with - she told me I could drop it off and they could get it back to me by the following day - which was incredible to hear after I had just called a competitor who told me they wouldnt be able to have it back to me until Tuesday. Whats even MORE incredible though, is the fact that they called me around 3 oclock that very same day letting me know they fixed my car and it was all set to be picked up! AND they gave me a great price. I will be taking all my automotive repair business here from now on. 10/10 would recommend!

I brought my 30+ year old summer car in for an oil change and an inspection. They took the time to explain which old and additives they were using based on the age of the car. They also took the time to tighten and lubricate the door hinges which I thought were just wearing out. Ive had the car since 2003 and the doors work better now than when I bought it! That was not something I even asked them to look at, it was just a nice surprise. Well definitely using this shop again in the future.

My truck overheated while passing through Syracuse. I happened upon Jakes shop just off of the Thruway while desperately searching for a place to stop and cool off the engine. I fully expected to be taken advantage of and spend the rest of the day without my truck. Instead, Jake personally looked over the problem even though they had a long backlog of work to be done and fix it right away. I was back on the road within an hour. And the best part? The bill he gave me was extremely reasonable. Just cost of materials and the same labor rate I would have paid if I had booked an appointment ahead of time. Thank you Jake!

I unfortunately had a very negative experience here despite the reputation. My boyfriend had dropped off our van to get it looked at because of a check engine light and to get the oil changed. They estimated the repairs to be an insane price range, which then we figured it was best to scrap it since it was of no use. He went to pick up the same day, only 5 hours after he dropped it off. They charged us 124 dollars for doing absolutely nothing besides running a diagnostic for the vehicle. Very ridiculous. They didnt even change the oil. Highly do not suggest, whether they were mad about checking the vehicle or not, still very unprofessional.

Have taken all my cars, and most of our familys cars to Jakes since I started driving (20 years ago!) lol, They even have helped me find my new cars. Jakes is always there for all my car questions whenever Im stuck, I can usually bug them immediately for help. Their quality and knowledge is really strong, highly recommended.
