Store shelves are always empty! You have to ring up your own merchandise! Workers are never workingThis store has went down hill very quickly not as convenient as it use to be. Being their shelves are always so dry! Think I will start making my shopping trips at Target! Open registers Again it sucks to shop and have to ring up your own merchandise Walmart is really getting a bang for their buck.

I don’t typically leave reviews, but truly couldn’t help myself this time. It’s been flawless ordering groceries for delivery, up until this weekend. Yesterday I placed an order and didn’t receive any of my fridge or freezer items… I spent forever on the phone with corporate trying to get a refund that valued in almost $150.00 of items missing that will take anywhere from 7-10 days to receive. This morning I attempted again, but noticed there was express delivery and thought let me try to get my fridge and frozen items. Yet again, I was missing the key ingredients I needed. Although this return was only $21.00 and allowed me to complete through the app, it shouldn’t have even happened. Please pay attention to the orders and accurately annotate what’s available and what isn’t. Please ensure you check the cooler for orders that are not pantry items. I understand that times are difficult right now, but offering a service that isn’t manageable is poor service. For dual working families and children busy with activities, this service was a life saver- but as of late it has become less of a help. We pay extra for this service, it shouldn’t end up like this after a delivery is made. I hope Walmart can get it together, or slow down until they’re able to maintain the service they offer.

Hit or miss but better than the other Walmarts in town when it comes to keeping things stocked ...update I hate this place Ive been waiting for over an hour for this dang grocery pick up Im soo done you try to avoid going inside this place because walmart is soo cheap the have all of 2 cashiers and self check out for a big grocery run takes 45 minutes just to get through the automated process try be proactive and avoid the chaos with pick up that my fiancé put in and I could have ran a freaking 5k 3 times ... Im so done

The shelves are empty, the sign in the toy dept says it all. I thought it was due to global issues, but stores in Columbia are very well stocked. They funnel people going in and out through one door so there is a constant bottleneck. Exactly what you want to do during a pandemic. Self checkouts are a pain in the neck. Employees are friendly, but overall, a poor shopping experience.

Five stars for Melvin McLeod in the Paint & Hardware Department. He is a Shining Light this store. Always a kind word, always quick to help and somehow always there it seems like. I hope this store appreciates what they have. Without him the rating would be a 2 or 3. Sorry to include that

Check out counter should be equally operated on both sides of the store. We dont get paid to check ourselves out and the limited check out station if its any the cashier takes their slow time to push customers to the self checkout.

Consistently out of stock on a lot of items. Aisles are always jammed with order takers filling online orders. Never fails to always have a few items be priced higher than what they are marked at...every time you go. And then you go to the nightmare of a parking lot where half of Scumter never returns their carts...carts everywhere!

I find most of the items I want. The prices are very reasonable, but they need to change prices that is scan based on the prices shown in the case/display, most of the time the cashier honor the display and make price adjustments. Shopping is fast,easy and enjoyable. You also save a little more in comparison to their competitors.

I had to return a set of blinds that I had shipped to me because they did not have them in the store. Esther waited on me at Customer Service. She was so kind and was concerned that the price may not have matched what I paid for it. I truly appreciate how she looked out for me and checked on the price. Great customer service. Esther has been working at Walmart for a long time and said she was retiring soon. She will be greatly missed!

Customer service is horrible and the store is dirty . Workers walk right in front of you and dont say excuse me or they will stand right in your way and not move while being on there phones . If you ask for help its like your pulling there teeth out. Truly said that this is what Walmart has turned into .

Love this place.... Fast check out and staff are very helpful. On occasion we have ran into a few staff that were extremely rude and theres only been one that I actually wanted to open hand slap but no matter where you go ur always gonna have to deal with those types here and there but most importantly theres way more great days than those rude and nasty ppl days

Grocery pickup took 30+ minutes and I couldnt wait any longer. They brought out groceries to folks that had just pulled up when others had been waiting much longer, like myself, 20-30 minutes. Very frustrating!Definitely dont get a grocery pickup after 11 am!

It was a good experience but you need more help and train more people to deal with the flow of customers.

At the self checkout station, I noticed price and weight of produce was not right. (thumb size of ginger) When I ask sales associate she answered “that is what scale measured” with rude attitude(I am not trying to get discount off the scale, apparently) Later I saw the checkout screen scale already registered at 0.94lbs instead 0. My ginger was only 0.12lbs. Also other produce was weigh double. After void transaction and pay other station I ask her the station need attention due to wrong scale. For some reason she didn’t like the idea of close the scale (she had big attitude that I really didn’t want to deal with these issue) but she mention they will be calibrated. So I reckon Walmart could turn off the light until it get fixed. Nothing happens. The Station is still open and waiting for another customer to get wrong measurement. I notify to customer service desk about the scale and waited 10 more minutes for somebody to come to take action while see if other customer check out at the station. I decided to leave and ask same lady about the progress and she wasn’t very pleased with me. I left the store after I took photo. Overall not my problem and don’t any intention to waste my time if nobody is appreciated. I just wanted problem to be fixed so walmart can provide fair and right price to their customers.!

Have came 3 days in a row to pick up my order and still haven’t got it. First day they didn’t have it ready at all. Second day we waited for 2 hours and still didn’t get it even though it was ready. Third day they still haven’t given me my order. They never pickup the phone either. Very frustrated.

It seems that no one likes to answer the phone and they delayed my pick up time. Im trying to call and understand why or get some kind of feedback!

I dont shop here anymore at all. The shelves arent stocked, what is in stock is locked up, the employees spend more time on their phones and hanging out outside than they do working. I avoid this store at all costs.

Ive only been to this location a few times and Ive only have had bad experiences here. Things are not easy to find, its hard to find employees to answer your questions and its hard to get directions, for what your looking for, from employees. Dont expect a good or quick experience unless you are a local that visits this location regularly!!!

This walmart is always SO messy. Especially the toys and household goods. It makes it impossible to find a price unless you use the app to scan items. Sometimes the aisles are totally impassable or even dangerous due to the amount of pallets and boxes stacked in them. Im worried they will just topple over sometimes. They also block shelves. Im not even there at weird hours, it will be the middle of the day and be like this and I wont even see employees actively working on the aisles of boxes.I love the new self-checkout setup and especially that I no longer have to stand in a long line to use WIC. This is the main reason I shop here. I prefer Food Lion grocery pickup (especially since they usually have everything I need in stock - unlike this walmart), but since I cant use WIC with pickup the self-checkout is a fast alternative. I especially like the ample space for bagging items myself the way I want them bagged in my reusable bags.Customer service here is subpar at best. It is very difficult to find any employees for help throughout the store and when you do they act like you are inconveniencing them.

It is Walmart. Multi-billion dollar chain department store selling everything you need and most of what you want at reasonable prices because 98.8% of everything they sell is made in China. It is practically every American persons go to these days. Well, Walmart and the every 5 miles Dollar General.

The reason is just ok is that its like Walmart doesnt have half of the stuff it use to. Everytime I go there to get something, they dont have it or dont have my size.

One advantage large corporations have in a small town is the ability to hire more people. When you cast a wider net your odds of a good catch are wider, but so are the odds for a bad catch. I want to focus on the positive and give a shout-out to one of the friendliest, most knowledgeable and possibly underrated team member their. David, in Electronics, has a Degree in the computer field and a very impressive background. He didn’t know me, but consistently went above and beyond and helped me navigate the computer world and educated me. His general knowledge, product knowledge and customer service is impressive and is the reason my company used Walmart to updated our electronics.

The most disgusting bathroom Ive seen at a Walmart. The stall I used didnt lock. Spray paint on the floor in some aisles. Just filthy. And the stock is a joke. So many items missing. Awful.

You would think that a multi-billion dollar company with an automatic inventory system could manage to HAVE THEIR STORES STOCKED. I suppose its nothing to Walmart to inconvenience people, but you get even richer if you have product on the shelves.

Essentially the best store, however they have stuff like electric toothbrushes and razors locked up for some reason. ALWAYS have to wait the medical desk to unlock the door when the lines are long.

I am not sure what is going on with Sumpter but theres some really sketchy people here after I complained to the manager about the type of people in the store they were not willing to do anything for me I then called corporate and complained to corporate they sent me a fruit basket and a $300 gift card but that still does not make it right I bring my 2 children to this store and my children deserve much better than to be subject to this type of class now we

Never a disappointment, good quality and a fair price. Store was packed with shopping for the 4th of July. Costumers polite and staff working hard to restock shelves and still have time to help us and each other.

Horrible. Staff not interested in customers. Doddling with cellphones. Shelfs poorly stocked. Self check out is a huge turn off. Prices are higher than in the past. Either management gets a handle on this store or its going the way of the dinosaurs.

The gro part was fine, but the rest of the store was awful. You couldnt get up and down the aisle for all the boxes of stock. Didnt make for a good shopping experience at all.

This is the only supercenter in Sumter. This store doesnt have much of anything you need. Things on the shelves are in the wrong places all over the store. There are barely any ride on carts for the disabled. Serval are sitting there not being fixed. Long lines with maybe 3 regular cashier and all the rest is self checkout. Very little disabled parking.

Lol this place is a giant dollar store without the prices. These people want 15 dollars an hour an cNt do their job at what they making now. Lol what a joke. Just waiting on nevermine.

Today I was lost and desperate for help,I give this gentleman a full 5 stars Mr.Darnell was able to stop and help me search for for the items, I neeeded for my sons birthday party..He took his time and was very considerate, Walmart could use alot more workers like him...thank you sir for your priceless time!! My experience was terrible before he offered his assistance..

The staff that were put in control of cleaning are very rude to customers. I was yelled at by the bathroom attendant on September 25. I dont expect management to address this issue but employees should not treat customers rudely.

Their shelves were well stock, and was not as crowed the last I was there. Overall not a bad trip.

These people are highly unorganized and also self checkout is like try to drive physically through atlanta georgia. The bathrooms smell so bad that they seep through the whole front area where people are checking out.

I have low opinion of Walmart to begin with. This one has dropped my opinion even lower. When they cannot keep a decent stock someone needs fired. And not those stocking the shelves. The people on the floor are normally good, friendly folks. The get 5 stars.

Walmart has gone down hill for some time. The amount of self checkouts that dont work to the floor workers that go out of their way to run from you when they think you have a question. And dont even get me started on having them run to go get the person with the key for the locked up items. It took them 40 mins! And me asking multiple times for help. This is why i will never go back unless i need something right then.

First off I give 4 stars for the Manager. 2 stars for the service wait. Checkout gotta love them checkouts right. Walmarts needs to bring back real cashiers. The machine froze and locked up as it was accepting my chip. After 5 minutes asst. came and couldnt fix it. She said she would call for help. Well help never came. My sister had to approach the Manager bring him to our register. She knew who he was because her position at her Wal-Mart. This was about 30 minutes of waiting. I was not leaving til I knew my card info was safe no one would use behind me. He took me to customer service allowed me to bump in front of everyone in line opened a register just for me to ring up everything again. He was nice and apologize, reassured me that my info is safe the computer was lifted up and the system will reset at midnight. I guess my point is if there is a problem regular asst. cant fix br sure to wait a long a** time for the next person above.

This is the Super Walmart. Prices a little to high. Purchase only specialty and sale items. Fresh bakery breads and the Deli wings are the best. Love the self checkout.

Ah yes, Walmart, the biggest store in sumter sc! This walmart does not in any circumstance stand out from any other walmart within the entire United States. It is very typical. Typical people in their demeanor and rough edges. Typical shelves with the odd one being half stocked or not at all. Various items strewn about through out the store and above all the typical items youll find in a walmart. If you been to one walmart supercenter youve been to all. This one is no different.

Sporting goods has hardly no fishing tackle on the shelves and no two cycle boat motor oil in stock. None of the check out stations are excepting cash.

This Walmart is pretty big with a mini McDonalds insides. However, they were stocking food today and a lot of things were missing. This was actually my first time at this Walmart and although the stockers were on the floor, I found one young lady to help. There was another young lady there and she told the young lady that if a customer needed help to direct them to someone else because its a waste of their time. I was dissatisfied by what this girl said and with the fruit department. It seems like some of these young ladies working there do not want to help customers but push them off on other people. This is not how Walmart works, so im very disappointed.

Of course due to convenience and prices I go here. Most of the time I cant find a worker to help when I actually need it. Its always super crowded and the lines can be ridiculous. Being completely self check out is great but I have noticed a lot of older people take forever to check out leading to long wait times for an open register. Recently it seems to be a bit cleaner than normal, though that may just be due to covid-19. Overall, I will probably continue to go just because of the sometimes better prices.
