Very clean and organized store. Has everything you might need in the unlikely event of a zombie apocalypse. However, you are limited to one box of ammunition per day so plan ahead. This is there most helpful, best stocked Ace store that I have ever visited.

I love Simpsons for all the different types of things they sell. They dont carry what everyone else has and their Garden Center is awesome. Completely unique and different plants than anyone else in my area!

The staff doesnt like african-americans in this store.I have noticed that from day one I entered the store.I caught several staff staring at me.As soon as you get to looking around the staff starts to talking in the microphone ear head sets.They want to get you out quickly.Excuse me do you need help. This store doesnt want you in there long!!!They want to get you in and out as quickly as possible and get your money.All the caucasian people can walk around as they please without nobody bothering them.Nobody can tell me different.This has happened several times.God is not sleep he sees all and knows all.What he give you he can take it away.

Tried to get in contact with the store multiple times, but their number doesn’t work. Every time I try to call, it says “user busy” and starts beeping. If you could update the number to a current working one that’d be much appreciated.

This place takes most of my money every paycheck. Good staff and selection of most things you are looking for in terms of sporting goods and hardware. Their prices are generally better than other places.

Ive had a really great experience from this store from the hand full of times Ive been there in the past couple of months. I just moved to Sumter from Charleston and this has been my go to store. Ive bought a Shtil pressure washer and gardening products from them and they were friendly and fast. I went in yesterday to buy a firearm, but they didnt have what I wanted. That was to be expected because of the high demand for firearms these days. The customer service in the firearm department was really helpful and gave me other options not related to their business. That has also been the case for their gardening department when I was looking for a rotortiller. Their honesty and good intentions has only wanted me to be a life long customer. It is much appreciated.

Dont know about the rest of the store, but this is specific to the hunting and gun section of the store. The workers are very nonchalant and do not care. If youre brand new to firearms, best you stay away from here. If youre a veteran and you know what you want, you should be fine. Not asking to be treated up to and pampered, but at least get on an eye to eye level with the customer. You will be talked down to and get an sarcastic attitude.

Paid over$160 for a pair of boots. Turned out to be too big. Woman at the front said I couldnt exchange them because I put them on. How else are you supposed to see if something fits. None of the Simpsons will be getting anymore of my money. Will never shop at any of them again.

My wife and I were in Sumter this weekend. We saw the store and went in. Well I had never been there before so I’m checking everything out. While walking down one of the isles I turned around to see if I missed anything and there was a young girl with a walk-in talkie on her side stopped in the isle looking at me. When she noticed that I saw her she bolted off. So I’m thinking to myself “ do I look like a thief or what? “. As I continue I notice that on every isle there she was. I felt very uncomfortable so i decided to leave. As I was exiting the store she was at detectors at the door waving something in front of them to make sure they worked. She stood there as I walked by. I made it a point to look her in the eye as I walked out but she gave me no eye contact. When my wife got out to the car she said she had the same experience. I don’t know if we will ever go back.

Amazing store! This is no boring hardware store. Selection galore and most of all, impeccable service! We were very politely greeted (not hounded) three (3) separate times as we changed departments in the store and the employees were very knowledgeable and friendly. Its a pleasure to shop here! We had Simpson Hardware &Sports in Manning called Simpson Hardware on West mark in Sumter about some bags forour sealer machine (for freezing food). They had them and said they would hold some for us, which they did. We have been looking for over a month and halfThank you so much.

If one staff member cant answer your questions, they know someone who can. No need to shop at big box stores, we can keep our dollars local, get great customer service, and have competitive prices.

The Wesmark store has a great selection of items.The facility is definitely kept clean and up to date. The shelves are usually neat and stocked. If something is out of stock, a staff member will help you acquire it.The only reason for four stars is, because the items seem to be pricey. Ive compared prices in various stores and online, and in this store they seem to run a touch high. If you are not in immediate need of something, Id check online first.

Went in to get some clothes while my boyfriend was deciding which hunting stand to buy and I could immediately tell the employees were watching me (Probably because I have quite a few tattoos) Couldn’t walk 5 feet without someone asking me if I needed help finding something, but I noticed they were checking me out like I was shop lifting. I could feel their eyes burning holes into my back the whole time and it made me so uncomfortable that I walked out and went to my truck.

First things first, some shady parking slots, good to have when traveling /shopping having the dogs with. The store is clean, helpful staff, but a little overstuffed. Narrow aisles are then the result. Pricing above average. Clearance isnt very attractive. Made in China everything its to expensive.

When in with a pocket full of cash to update my wardrobe. After filling my shopping cart with roughly $400.00 worth of clothing I decided to check out some new boots seeing how good the clothing selection was. Several workers walked by me purposely avoiding me. Since you have to ask them to bring you your size. I waited over 10 mins trying to get one of 5 employees just standing around to help I simply gave up and had to walk out with no purchase at all. Its sad that they dont want my money. Hopefully Ill find a good clothing store that does. Total waste of 2 hrs of my time. Maybe these places should have to start compensating the consumer for their wasted time! Worst customer service I have ever encountered and Ive been to some pretty horrible places

Not your normal Ace Hardware, more like a Dicks Sporting Goods plus Foot Locker plus Silver Paper plus Lowes. Great place to shop for everyone with great service. Even have a guys night and ladies night with discounts for both once a year.

Selection was very good however a associate in the garden section decided it was a good idea to follow us around and tell my wife that things were breakable because we have children. We were looking at the green egg grills when the said associate decided to tell my wife that they are breakable because my son was looking at one of the grills. TLDR rude associate ruined first experience with store dont think we will be going back.

My family has been shopping with Simpsons for more than 25 years and have always found great prices with friendly smiles!

There are a lot things to like about this place, but I want to focus on one in particular. The shoe department has morphed into a speciality running shoe destination. The staff has excellent knowledge and worked with me to get me into the right pair of running shoes. Each runner has different needs and they understand that. The selection is the best in Sumter. The even have the full line of Hokas.
