Told that battery and alternator were bad. i did Have only the battery replaced since the quote to replace alternator was almost $600.Took vehicle to private mechanic and alternator is good. I have already driven 650 pls and alternator working perfectly.I am glad i did not get ripped off

My trailblazer needed a lot of tlc after sitting for a long time and it drives smoothly and I feel very safe driving it

The service is excellent but the price has greatly increased. I wouldve given them 5 stars but the price now is crazy high. They were more affordable before the merger. I wouldve gone somewhere else but theyre the only shop thats worked on our truck. I plan to take our new car somewhere else for service thats more affordable.

I came in with my dad who by the way is a loyal customer. I asked did they have a waiting area while our car was being serviced. They directed me to the area while I was back there the woman and man at the desk was talking about me. A few minutes later the guy comes back to ask whst car was mine as if I didnt have a car there or something it was rude in his tone so I stood outside in the heat until my service was completed. You guys may have lost a customer.

Excellent service and reliable. I made the appointment online (48 hr advance) and was in and out. They even performed a digital inspections with pictures, suggestions and recommendations. Very helpful.Note: the lifetime protection plan coverage is a good and reasonable option if youre out of original warranty. (See Pic for pricing). You have service intervals and use BG additive which should help prevent breakdowns and keep you on the road. But if something covered happens, they will cover up to $6K depending. See the detailed flyer for specifics. I recommend! 👍

Nice and friendly front desk service, but I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half wait for an oil change and a tire rotation. Got there at 8 am (my appointment time), and didn’t leave till a few minutes before 11! I did have them replace the battery and clean the terminal posts but that only took 10 minutes. I sat in the customer waiting area where there was a window you can watch the techs work on the vehicles. I was a little frustrated to see the gentleman that was working on my vehicle very often stopped working on my car and just chatted and joked around with his coworkers. I witnessed this being done several times. If he had kept to the task I’m sure my wait time would’ve been cut by at least 30-45 minutes.Other than that, the work done itself was as expected.

It was such a great experience all around. Everybody was very nice and easy to work with. The whole process exceeded my expectations.

This is the 2nd time I tried to use the AAA Mobile Battery service (1 time in FL). Both times I had the bring the car in. Not overly excited about my membership right now. The folks at the shop did take care of me - so good enough!

When we went to pick it up all the staff at the desk were welcoming, talkative, and gave us options to move forward with our car and the services it needs. AAA is amazing, John H. Up frint is the guy to know. He knows a thing or 2 about cars! They treat you right.The boys in the back are ready for almost anything.I come to them when I need experts service!Then last but not least.The ladys up front, who cover it all from trips and vacations to insurance and travel gear.Nice place to visit when you need some help.

John was such an amazing guy! He went above and beyond fixing my tire and informed me of information that I would have never known. They charge very reasonably and the team in Summerville is one that I trust. I am a young adult, but I have gone to a lot of places that have done me wrong. AAA in Summerville will take care of you.

Would not recommend. Had a 10 am appointment and was told it would be an hour and half. At 1110 car still hadn’t been worked on. Car wasn’t completed until 1225.

I called AAA for my grandson, Kenneth Cone, whose car shut off on him when his key broke off in the ignition on Orangeburg rd, leaving him in the middle of Orangeburg rd with traffic coming from 6:15-10:30.

I was overcharged by at least $100 for a new starter. I was told that my back tires needed replacing. I went to a tire specialist and they said I had at least another 10,000 miles on those tires. Also, the tires AAA recommended were the wrong tires. Fortunately, I didnt buy them. They picked up the car on Friday morning and didnt finish until Tuesday afternoon.

They are very courteous and thoroughl.

This is my second experience at a AAA car care center and both times have been the most awful experiences ever. The first time, with my previous car, I elected to not use their services as they quoted me $1600 for parts and labor and said it would take a week to fix. Took it to a local shop and they fixed it in less than 2 hours for $700. Now this time, my car breaks down, I have to get it towed to a shop 14 miles away because the one 4 miles away is closed “due to Covid”; paid for the tow, explained the situation that my car’s check engine light was flashing and car was stalling out. Waited 4 days for them to even look at my car. Paid $109 for a full diagnostic in which they claimed they could not find any issues. Picked up my vehicle and found the check engine light still flashing, they never bothered to check the code. They started my car up and let it idle for 4 hours and said nothing was wrong. Needless to say, my car didn’t get very far. Now i have to take it to a “real” mechanic because the check engine light reads as a engine misfire and should not be driven; AAA will never see anymore business from me.

They are always kind and looking out for your best interest. They inspect your vehicle from front bumper to back. They take pictures of what they find. They let you know what is important to take care of and what you can let go. There is never any pressure to sell you anything your vehicle doesnt need.Safety is very important to them.

A new update at the end!!! I am glad to have found a car care garage that gives an honest work and very good prices. I have only been but once. That was for a oil change service and tire rotation. I will say that the price was good for all I got. With my dealings with the service writer I was convinced that AAA values my business. The time I spent there was reasonable. I do think the waiting area could provide free water. I do believe AAA will make efforts to improve where needed ******* Now for a 1 year update ******* The prices went up on an oil change. NOW I will look else where for a oil change or do it myself. And save over $50.00 I raved over AAA but thats over.

I took my car for an appointment on Friday for an oil change and to have them look into my serpentine belt as I was hearing awful noises when my ac was running. Found out that they needed to keep my car overnight so they could continue the repairs they had come across that needed immediate attention. I told them that would be fine. Of course i needed more done than I suspected but I knew my car was in great hands. John Hendrick did an awesome job making sure he went over everything that needed to be fixed. Made my experience there much better even though I had a slight issue with processing my payment when I came to pick up my car. John and Billie Rae were very patient with me and I couldnt thank them enough for putting up with me for so long and staying past closing to allow me to call and speak with credit card company regarding my payment that was trying to be processed. If you want quality customer service and know your car is in great hands this location has you covered. Of course i will be back.

Our travel agent Darlene did a fantastic job helping us plan our trip to Italy. She found great airfare tickets and also helped us with transportation from Rome to Florence and Florence to Venice. Also, one of the staff members even brought my Euros to my house, due to the office being closed that Friday after Hurricane Dorian. Great job by all. Thanks!!!

I had my oil changed this morning and John H. was very helpful and professional throughout the whole process and Kishawn N. did an immaculate job with the service it self. Thank you, gentlemen.

I was told that my AC compressor was bad and it was recommended that the entire system be replaced so it would be under warranty. The cost was $2100. I went on YouTube and replaced the magnetic clutch relay in 10 minutes for $20 and it is fine. The diagnostic appointment took 2 1/2 hours and was $109. I will never go back there

Scheduled an appointment for 12. We dropped the car off just to find out they pushed our appointment out to 1 but failed to call us. They stated go ahead and drop it off and they would get to it. It than took them 3 hours to perform a pre-trip inspection and to hook it up to the diagnostic machine. All the while we were waiting outside because masks were required. Us waiting outside in 90 degree weather would have been avoided if they called us to inform us our appointment was moved to 1. Oh yeah not to mention we drove 30 minutes to make the appointment.

They are straight forward. They dont try to push services or products you dont need when you go in for, say, an oil change. The staff is courteous, professional, polite, and and deliver your car services within the expected time frame.

I think AAA Summerville offers excellent car service. Their diagnostic work provides you with a good understanding of your car’s health and what type of expenses you are looking at for repairs.

Had to wait almost 2 hours before they started despite having an appointment. Had to wait an hour and a half with a lady with a respiratory infection and no mask despite the local ordinance. Employees had at least 8 conversations with her andSand said nothingwnothing even oneoone mentioned her having a cold.

The check engine light was on and Klaus the service rep, kept me informed of the progress of the work. The service was completed on time at the price quoted. I have already referred friends they might need on their vehicles.

The technicians are friendly and knowledgeable but I do not like to put in a service request and have it overlooked because I do not like having to make several visits. I mentioned  My car needs to be driven because it jerks when i reach 35 mph or higher. Since the visit, my car still jerks at irregular intervals. I am not sure if it is an ignition coil issue. Clearly no one drove my car to access the issue.

I took my 2013 Dodge Challenger for an oil change and specifically asked to have my power steering checked because it requires removing the front wheel and wheel well to access it. My husband checked and the wheel well was never removed, the power steering fluid never checked, and no power steering fluid added. When he called they were not interested in correcting the mistake and were okay with the idea that we would be taking our business elsewhere.

Not happy with the service, attitudes, or management here. Something as major as a loose oil filter and a tie rod repair that was never done right just seems to no big deal to these people. My vehicles will be going to another local garage with better management and people who care. Do not be fooled by their diagnostics. The sad thing was when I went to the new garage I was with someone else who went here and had a bogus repair done that did not even fix their problem. This place has gone down hill since they replaced the good guys.

Very nice and efficient mechanic. Listened attentively about my concerns. Changed oil and thankfully checked my tires and discovered that one of them had three nails in it and another had dry rotted. Saved me from breaking down on the highway. Good service and very satisfied with their work.

The staff at the Summerville AAA Car Care Center are very helpful, friendly, and useful. I have been getting my car serviced there for a long time and I must admit it is the absolute CLEANEST and PLEASANT auto care center that I have ever been in. It is ALWAYS amazingly clean, easy to move around, cool and warm enough, and good enough to get work done or look at television. I admire Ms. SUZI YOHE for all the hard work that she does at the Summerville office to keep it clean, tidy, smelling good, and a great environment to wait for my car to be serviced. Had appointment for oil change, told it would be 1.5 hours. I asked if they could add in a spark plug change as well. I figured that would take an additional hour or two but didnt inquire. They shuttled me back home. I should have just waited there because I think if you leave, they put other cars ahead of you, especially those customers that choose to stay in the waiting room. I came back, unannounced 3.5 hours later figuring the car would be nearly finished (stupid me?) and was told that NOTHING had been done yet and that the engine had to be completely cold before they could work on it. I can understand that but it was only a 10 minute drive to get there, and that was at 10:30. How hot was that engine?? Then I was told the car wouldnt be ready until 5:00. Really? So I said I would just make another appointment for next week and plan for leaving the car for about 8 hours. But I was then told that it wouldnt take that long and it would be ready early afternoon. What? I dont know what is going on at the shop but I dont appreciate the run around. Figure out how to manage the workload and treat women with more respect. On a brighter note, the shuttle driver is a peach. AAA has a good reputation, dont ruin it .

Very good shop and good ppl. Came in with car just bought that has bad brakes and rotors. Silver rock claims was giving me hard time not wanting to replace the rotors. They went out their way to assisted me with that even though they didn’t have to.

So happy that this time I thought to look into my AAA membership benefits to see what was offered when my car needed an oil change and I needed an honest professional to address some serious problems I was having with my vehicle. I called AAA & they helped me decide which AAA Car Care Center to go to ... then they called the Center to check availabilities and made an appointment for me for the same day @ a convenient time, & confirmed that I could use a coupon AAA had sent me toward any services. Next, my experience at the Center was seamless, pleasant & successful, from Klaus at the front desk ready with papers for me to complete my check-in when I arrived, to him summoning me, from the nice waiting area with comp hot beverages and wifi, to explain fully what they had done, answer any questions I had about this visit and future care of my vehicle, process my payment, and return to me my keys and car ready to go, all within 2 hours. I look forward to going to them again and will recommend them to everyone looking for honest, caring, competent professionals who will provide them with great customer service and affordable, quality car care!

I came to SC from NJ and didn’t know where to get my car fixed. They were able to diagnose the problem and get the necessary parts and now the car works great. Freindly people and mechanics very knowledgeable. Will go back anytime.

Charged me $40 for free battery test check that l already had done by AAA roadside battery services tech. I made my appointment on Christmas eve for the day after Christmas. My wife was offered to have it replaced on the spot, but l told her l will just take to Firestone where l have a store account. Long story short, Firestone was booked. So, being a AAA member for over 10yrs, l decided to utilize my AAA membership options of going to the AAA car center. l was reminded why l dont go to their car center s as they are very MISLEADING $149 quote turned into $216 not to mention l was told otherwise when l made the appointment. Come to find out, they charged me $40 for the same free test l had two days prior and had the audacity to discredit the AAA roadside battery test that l had done by saying there test is more thorough. In addition, the manager said he had to charge for thr diagnostic to honor my AAA battery warranty in the future as if l had the test done by my neighbor. The warranty comes with the battery not the diagnostic, and its the same free diagnostic test l had done by the AAA battery services tech who checked tge electrical system previously. All l can say, it took a two hour plus wait to have the same thing done by appointment just be over charged for battery diagnostic that you get for free as a AAA member at the AAA care cente... RIDICULOUS

Wish I could give less than a 1 star review. Spoke with the Car Care manager Erik about getting my car service and he was extremely rude and disrespectful. I am very disappointed with my experience at this facility.

AAA roadside service is great in other states but buyer beware they only have 2 trucks for the Charleston area (Tri-County) a priority call can take in excess of 2 hours - they will quote a reasonable time. Called 2 hours ago and was told driver is still 30 min out. Nothing to do but wait at this point per managament. This is the second occurrence and is always blamed on high call volume, anything more than 2 calls is high call volume.

The young lady, Billy Ray, at the automotive service desk is always so forthcoming with blunt information and truth. I appreciate the customer service of this location and the integrity of the employees.

I just renewed and upgraded and oh how I wish I had not! Daughter made an appointment for a Saturday to get some work done. Long story short—her car kept getting pushed back for “more urgent (important) repairs. They also told her she needed her transmission mounts replaced. She asked them to contact her and that was just ignored. I actually thought I was going to have to fly in from a business trip just to get her car back. Car only has one and it’s in great shape. Run from this shop!

Needed a tow within my neighborhood after Hurricane (Tropical Storm) Irma and even though Ive been a Plus member since 2009 and havent used their services in years, they told me they would not honor the free tow to my home. I will NEVER use AAA again and have requested a full refund of my membership.

This is the 1st time Ive been to AAA, and I thought they did and excellent job for a fair price. I got tires and wheels mounted and balanced and a full alignment. So far Im very happy. My service writers name was Tony and he was very courteous and attentive. I will go back because of him.

As many people bring their cars in to a service center for something usually simple, my service rep continued to call me throughout the day finding more things wrong with my car. We became friends. After all was said and done and we picked up my car, I told Josh that Ive never had so much fun spending so much UNEXPECTED MONEY!!! And yes, my car is great. Thanks to Josh and the AAA team. Planned a Disney trip through them. Had to push it back due to other things that came up. When we pushed it back we went in to add park tickets for my daughter who was now going to be three when we were going. Was told by a guy there that we didnt need to buy additional tickets as my daughter would be fine. He also told us that if there was a problem to pass her off as being under three. This was all wrong as Disney made us pay for tickets when we got there. An expense we werent prepared to pay and were perfectly willing to pay when we pushed the trip back. This person threw a major wrench into our vacation because of his dishonesty. Will not go back to these people for trip planning.

Car overheated n got stuck with 2 kids in Charleston. AAA was a tremendous help to us. It was one stop shopping. Got my car towed, was able to book a hotel and the shuttle took us to the hotel and grocery shopping!!! Josh is all about customer service and Mr. Joe went above and beyond his job description to make sure we were taken care of!! This was a great choice!!!

Went in for an oil change, came out with blue smoke pouring out my exhaust. They didnt even say anything about this when checking out, I had to experience it when leaving and went back to let them know. After I went back, didnt even make it out the parking lot, now they want to do all the diagnostic tests to tell me how its my fault. Now I have broken seals and all these issues, but my car was fine when I brought it in.I will be taking my car elsewhere for service, never again will I go to AAA car care center. The tech that messed my car up was incompetent and seemed unsure of what he even did. I am so disappointed with there service.

Good if using the monthly coupons. They do a great job but they are very slow and extremely expensive!!!
