Archie took care of us at Bob’s (North Hills location) and was great to work with! He introduced himself and let us know that he was available whenever we were ready or had any questions. He was not pestering us or following us around trying to talk to us every 2 seconds. (Which was the best!) He let us browse through the store at our own pace and waited for us to come get him. He was also very nice to our 4 little kids! I Highly recommend Archie!!! πŸ˜ƒ

They were extremely pushy… I told them I’d let them know if I needed help stalked me around the store commenting on items I didn’t ask about. Told rep I didn’t want the goof protection MULTIPLE TIMES but she kept trying to force it on me. Manager came over AGAIN tried forcing me to try to get goof protection and explaining I still didn’t want it. Manager proceeded to give me a flyer for goof protection and I was told I could add it later. NO MEANS NO. Come here if you would like to be harassed about your furniture buying experience and having it be stressful instead of enjoyable.

Nice people at the store however after 2 years I submitted a claim because the middle of my sofa is completely disconnected from the rest and they denied it claiming normal wear and tear... The USB stopped working and u have to worry when sitting in the middle. I paid extra for the 5 year good proof and they claimed it covered absolutely everything but they declined my damaged couch without even looking at it just by pictures I had to send in... Now I must go to Levin or somewhere else for new couch and rest of my needs..

Terrible experience with a California king mattress I bought that had a 10 year warranty and wore out in 5. Went back to the store to get a replacement mattress. They took my old mattress and replaced it with a king instead of a California king. After 4 attempts of delivery where they wanted to take the king without replacing it with a California king and 6 months of them telling me my mattress would be in in a few months I finally asked for the truth from them and they informed me they do not sell California king mattresses out of that store and cannot deliver one to my area. After purchasing from them in the past and referring people to them I found their customer service to be totally unhelpful. They refused to reimburse me for my mattress they took and said I could return this mattress for a store credit towards another mattress in a size I do not need, just not a California king. Very disappointed not only with their service but with the fact that they kept telling me they would get me the correct mattress when they obviously knew they couldn’t. Will never shop there again.

Terrible experience, 1 star is too much. I purchased from Bob’s before a few years back and despite seeing awful reviews now, I decided to go with them for my bedroom set. Huge mistake. I ordered in December. Got it delivered in January which would be great seeing all the delays normally HOWEVER it was damaged upon delivery. I would have refused it but the guys said I had to go through Bob’s to get it taken care of. The one piece of the bed looked like they kicked in the back part of it at the manufacturer and just stapled it back together instead of replacing the backboard of it. The 2nd piece was damaged on the corner. The 3rd piece the drawer was literally falling apart. And the headboard didn’t line up. John at the store (the only helpful person so far) said they’d replace it all. 2nd delivery, they only replaced 2 of the 4 pieces. The 3rd piece that had the mangled drawer, they just replaced the drawer which was not done well. It looked like they must have cracked and scratched the piece trying to replace it and the drawer pushes all the way back, unlike the other drawers. And it’s not flush with the foot piece, there’s a gap and you can see to the floor. The headboard and foot piece have cosmetic damage which was the least of my worries at the time but now that their customer service has done nothing, I felt it’s important to mention it. So then my 3rd delivery was today, to replace the 3rd piece of the bed that they replaced the mangled drawer on and the replacement piece was damaged out of the box. The delivery guys had an issue with a broken down truck today so they actually just took the piece back rather than installing it. Probably because of the day they’d had already. So Bob’s now wants to come to my house again for the 4th time. Which I told them is not acceptable. I want them to come and take this garbage back and refund me. They told me no, they can compensate me with a gift card for a future purchase?? As if I’d EVER purchase from them again. We also ordered a mattress in January back when we thought Bob’s would get this taken care of during the 2nd delivery (HAHAHAHAHA), was given the option to pay to have it delivered in a week or just swing by the store and get it at no charge. Despite the initial issues we had, they wouldn’t waive the fee so we opted to pick it up. A week goes by, I call to ask if the mattress was in, they said it would be another 3 weeks. My bed was still a mess so what did it matter? 3 weeks go by, I stop at the store to schedule that 3rd delivery because of damages and to check in on the mattress... it’s now not coming in for another 4 weeks (March 20th). If you need a bed, I’d suggest you sleep on the floor before purchasing from Bob’s. Need a dinning room table? Stand at your kitchen counter and eat before you consider buying from Bob’s. If you have a delayed order, cancel it now so you can get your refund. Because once it’s delivered, you’re screwed. Honestly, I knew I should have gotten a sales position at Bob’s because they treat their customers like GARBAGE and refuse refunds. So at least if I worked there, my commission would be safe and never get taken away from me due to returns... because they don’t take returns lol.

My shopping experience was great in the store however delivery is the reason I will never shop there again nor will I recommend them to anyone else. I then had two deliveries in the furniture is just sitting in my room not assembled because they keep forgetting things at the warehouse and then expect you to wait 3 more days to schedule again. When it’s there fault never again will I shop at Bobs, maybe if they had people at the store who actually delivered and assembled it would work out for them.

Thanks bobs....bought furniture and it was supposed to be delivered the next day before noon. We spent all day waiting for it since every 2 hours they would give us convenient updates that your delivery was running late. That went on for the rest of the day until 1030 pm at night..then we finally got a call from the delivery company. They said they were not going to be able to make the delivery and unfortunately they are not aloud to leave the furniture in the truck. That means they have to return it to Maryland. Thats what they told us. That doesnt make sense se since we bought the furniturein Pittsburgh. They then proceeded to tell us we will need to wait until the following Wednesday, an entire week later. Keep in mind we got rid of our Furniture in the morning. So me my wife and 2 kids are sitting on the floor for the next week. Thanks bobs Furniture. I guess its a good thing we own a nugget. This our new furniture for the week. Bobs can you Help us out? One of the main reasons we bought furniture from bobs is they said it could be delivered the next day and thats were we bought our previous furniture.

Terry walked us through a variety of different options that meet our needs. We took a long time looking around in BoBs. Also we checked other furniture stores. Bob’s is by far the best. Great value for your dollar. I won’t be going anywhere else from now on. Go shop at Bobs they won’t disappoint you.

I was expecting pushy salesman but only received a warm welcome, lots of space to browse and test furniture out, and knowledgeable, helpful and friendly associates that gave me space but were also very available. The store is very large and has a good selection of dining sets, living room furniture including chairs, loveseats, and couches and sectionals, and bedroom sets. The bathroom is also very accessible and very clean. The only downfall of this store I can think of is that there is a style to the store. You will find mostly traditional/contemporary furniture with very little exception. There was one mid-century modern chair that came in a bright orange a neutral blue and a gray. If you are looking for good priced furniture this is a great place. I have been looking for an ivory sectional that could fit about six people. As soon as I walked in the door, there was one similar near the front entrance. I was looking for something of a slightly higher quality and the best way I can describe it is that the stitching or the sort of thread count on the fabric was a little too low. However, their leather section is very nice especially considering the price. There is ample parking and it is a very convenient location right off of McKnight road with another furniture store within the same parking area as well as clothing stores and fast food restaurants. Im very happy I went in to look around.

Great customer service from the minute we walked in. Our sales rep Alexa was very helpful, polite, and checked in on us from time to time as we browsed. Looked up a type of chair I wanted in a certain color, answered all our questions with a smile. We were comfortable, welcomed, not rushed in the least (even with a grumpy baby), and prices were reasonable. We finally decided on the one we all almost fell asleep on. 😝 Cant wait for it to be delivered!

Do not purchase from Bob’s furniture store. No matter how much you like the furniture or what the saleman promise. I went to the store and had a picked alpine sectional with Terrence. They do not keep the contract. I purchased alpine sectional in February and was told there would be delay due to covid until may. Fine totally okay. I was contacted two weeks ago and they said they had it ready and scheduled delivery two weeks later. Was supposed to have it delivered with β€œwhite glove” delivery. The white glove delivery not only brought us half a couch, left the other pieces in the wearhouse and did not go back to get them saying would need to schedule later with no explanation. They did not set up the couch either. I called customer service 3 times and all they do is give the runaround saying there is nothing they can do. They say they’ll give β€œcompensation” once the pieces are delivered. Now I’m waiting for pieces for two more months with half a couch in my house. Their manager is offering 129$ As a compensation for a couch I paid over 2000$ for. Hardly customer service nor following our contract of what I purchased and now I will be forced to make payments on a couch I don’t even have yet. I call north hills manager who has yet to make this right or make a plan for getting me what I purchased. Do yourself a favor do not trust this or any store. They’re clearly disorganized and do not follow contracts and do nothing for a customer when they haven’t honored their agreement no matter how many times you call their managers. Take your business elsewhere.

The Sales Rep Archie that I dealt with at the store was excellent. However, it was afterwards that was very disappointing. The table was delivered without the chairs. The delivery service was great as well. Talking to customer care, though, was very disappointing. I got told that there was a glitch in the system and that’s why the chairs weren’t on the truck and then I’d have to wait a week for the chairs to get delivered as that was the earliest they had. Meanwhile, the chairs are at a warehouse somewhere because I didn’t order the table without the chairs! How do you have dinner at a table with no chairs?!? I got passed around in customer service for 2 hours...back and forth with no help, no resolution, nothing. Finally, when I was able to call the store once it was opened,explains everything, I was only given $50 off when the delivery fee alone is $90. So apparently Bobs doesn’t care about you once the sale is made and only wants the money. Which, in this time, my money is valuable to me too and this was not something that I caused. This was their screw up and all they could over was $50. I will not be back to Bob’s and will tell everyone to not go there because it wasn’t worth the hassle after the sale was made.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered a sectional in the beginning of November of 2020 for in store pickup. I originally decided to purchase this particular couch from this store because we were told that the estimated date we would receive our couch would be mid December 2020. Approximately four months later, we still do not have a couch. I have called 1-2 times a month since we placed our order and each time we were told by an associate that it would be a couple of weeks. This answer is no longer good enough seeing as it has been months past the original estimated delivery date and we are out $1,600 with no product to show for it. Each time I call, I am met with vague and dishonest answers. In December, it was Mid January. In January, it was Mid February. And now, it is March 17 at the earliest. This is totally unacceptable; we feel robbed by Bobs Discount furniture and I would not recommend that anyone purchase from this company.

DO NOT BUY anything from Bobs Discount Furniture! Pandemic issues aside, as all furniture companies are struggling to get items manufactured and delivered. The prices will be good, the furniture attractive and the sales associates polite and helpful, but it all goes down hill from there. They will take your money up front and you may not get your furniture, you may get only pieces at a time, there may be multiple accidents with their trucks while you take time off work and wait around for hours, and items may arrive damaged. They may damage yours or your neighbors property trying to deliver. You will spend days and hours on the phone with the store, with their outsourced customer care or going to the store to attempt to get things sorted out. There is no connect between the store, warehouse and customer care-they will all tell you different and likely incorrect information, not complete or do the correct paperwork and not follow through. Leading to more time calling and going to the store. They will hold on to your money as long as they can preventing you from being able to purchase other furniture or take care of other needs in your life that may arise over a saga of several MONTHS. My issues have been going on since August and are still not resolved. Everything may seem great when you go to the store, but good luck after that. BUYER BEWARE! If you value your time and money steer clear of Bobs no matter how polite and helpful the store associates are and how well priced and nice the furniture appears! It wont be worth the hassel! I saw others struggling to get their issues resolved as well the several times I went to the store.

If I was able to leave no stars I would. 1 year after purchasing a whole living room suit, the springs went out in both loveseat and couch. We purchased the protection plan because it was highly advised and when we submitted a claim, we were denied. Bob’s furniture is junk/garbage. Not worth the buy and their protection plan/warranty is a joke. Shop elsewhere!

Please do not buy from Bobs furniture store. We needed a lower bed for my handicapped mom that had to move in with me. I ordered the furniture and the bed was in stok. It was going to be shipped in a week. We took everything out of the room and they set up delivered completely wrong furniture. They wont take back the wrong furniture until the right furniture is delivered. So now the new furniture will be 2 weeks and they only want to reimburse $160 after my husband took an entire day off work!!!

The staff was very helpful and found us the couch we wanted. The wait time on a couch with covid right now is pretty long, so we havent gotten the couch yet. However, based on the floor display it looks like it will be a nice couch. We did find a model I liked and left to make sure it fit our space before ordering. It turned out the color we wanted wasnt available online anymore and to call in was less than ideal. We just went back in person and the salesman helped us find a suitable replacement that I liked even better in the color we wanted and ordered it for us right away.

I like my furniture, but watch out buying with store credit . I had a $3000 bill, the fireplace was $899, WIfie let me hold a $1000 from he debit card, furniture came in Jan. Fireplace was on back order til March so I canceled it a week before the other stuff came. You known them mother hunchers applied the 1000 to the store credit card and wouldnt give my wife her money back, well I gave her her money. I found a cheaper better constructed electric fireplace at lowes . BOBS, DO CREDIT OR CASH, NOT BOTH ENLESS YOU WANT TO BE VERY AGGRAVATED!

What a terrible experience this has been - I ended up here because they had the best couch for my needs, but everything else continues to be an absolutely nightmare. Went to the store on 1/7, everything seemed fine, nice salesman and transaction seemed easy enoughWent back the next day to adjust the order, I was assured this would not be an issue and a new salesman processed this and provided me a delivery date of everything on 2/16.I called back to confirm the next week as the sales person seemed a bit confused and wanted to make sure that everything was good - found out from the manager that not only had the salesman lied about the delivery dates (Ottoman wasnt available until April), but didnt update the order request to get me on the delivery slate. the manager fixed everything and said I was all set to go to have the couch (3 pieces) delivered on 2/16 with the ottoman coming 4/10.I didnt receive a confirmation call 2 days before the arrival date which prompted me to call them on 2/14, when I was told the manager that had fixed everything quit and never put me on the delivery slate - because of this they could only get me 2/3 pieces of the couch by 2/17 and the rest would come on 3/5 and 3/10 - all because they had no backups and said they couldnt do anything about this because the guy quit. And now as a cherry on the top, delivery day I get a text saying the delivery was confirmed but due to technical issues the ttracker is down, and now they are late and their phone system doesnt allow you to contact anybody.It should not take 3 grown adults to properly place, track and communicate a furniture order.The people who work and operate this place are terrible for the most part - the best part is as an apology I was offered a $250 gift card.... because I will want to shop with these idiots again. They did waive the white glove delivery fee - but I would have rather paid the full price to have a normal experience.Update - delivery is now delayed a week and nobody told me, had to call in to find out - terrible service, they should have people calling their customers (or maybe the salesman could actually contact their customers).Will say the actual delivery professionals are first class - they are clean and in/out in the window when they show up.

Really disappointed with BDF. We purchased two tables and two twin beds from them. Oddly, the twin beds are about 6 inches longer than a twin mattress, so there is a gap at the top or bottom of the bed depending on the placement. Whatever, I can deal with that. Now, our tables. The Sanctuary 9 Piece was delivered smashed in on a corner, with a nail sticking out that cut my sons leg, and holes and nicks in the chairs. The Enormous Table cracked out of nowhere three months after we owned it. I must not forget to mention that their delivery team left screws in my driveway that ended up puncturing my tires. BDF resolution was to offer to replace my tables, but the earliest available would be 5 months after my complaint. They can also give me a store credit to purchase more of their poor quality furniture. No thank you. I asked for my money back, but No Refunds are permitted. I cant even imagine doing business like this!

I would give this place no stars if I could. From what I am seeing below, no wonder this place gets complaints. Ive had the same experience as most. I ordered my couch over a month ago. It was supposed to be delivered mid-October according to the invoice. They told me on the phone it was now pushed ahead to the end of November. WHAT NORMAL PERSON would want to wait 3 full months for a couch. Please people of Pittsburgh DO NOT waste your time here. Go to IKEA, Levin, anyplace else and you will have a better experience. I know based on the past they dont treat their customers like this. FYI, I got my order fully refunded and I feel a MILLION times better. Ill make due with the couch I have now, Im even going to build a chaise for it. Will save me $1,000. Nice job BOBs, lost ANOTHER customer.Stay safe everyoneJosh

My salesman Paul was wonderful and that was the only good part of my experience. I had my new furniture delivered two weeks ago. They sent sent a wrong piece to my sectional. Not really a big deal as I understand mistakes happen. When I immediately called to inquire about them coming to switch it out I was basically told Im out of luck. They have no idea when they will bring me the correct piece and pick up their mistake. I understand that there are restrictions in place at this time but at the same time you need to fix your mistake. Telling me it will most likely be a month or more before you fix my issue is unacceptable. I went to store today now that they are open to request that they come pick all of it up and refund my money and they will not do that either. This business is a joke. I absolutely will never make another purchase from here again.Update: Almost 8 weeks later and still no resolution. All I want is for them to exchange the wrong piece of the sectional for the correct one. I dont think thats too much to askNow almost 8 months after the initial delivery I still DO NOT have the correct furniture. No one will return my calls and I keep getting the run around. I want this furniture out of my house and I want my money back so I can go somewhere else to buy new furniture that actually can fulfill their orders and care about guest satisfaction. This place is beyond a joke and should be shut down.Now almost 11 months after the initial delivery I finally received the correct piece. Of course, it came damaged. Please stay away from Bobs Discount Furniture. They supposedly will be picking it up in 2 weeks and refunding me but well see how that goes

DO NOT BUY FROM BOBs. I ordered a sleeper sofa nearly six months ago, and have been trying for four months now to replace a defective part. They failed to place the part order the first time, then have failed part deliveries for FOUR (!!!) consecutive attempts now. The most recent was today, and after calling in to get it resolved I learned that the part I need is now on backorder again, and wont be available for another month. Dealing with them has been an absolute nightmare, and I STRONGLY urge any prospective customers to reconsider, and take their business literally anywhere else.

EDIT: As helpful as the customer service was here, we still havent received our couch. If you call the number to verify when the expected date is, the wait time is always around 70 minutes. However, when you are waiting itll jump up in wait time and is extremely inconsistent. It has been almost 3 months since we ordered a couch. I would honestly consider different furniture stores if you need anything soon, Bobs is not delivering anything on a decent timeframe..Jay was an extremely helpful sales associate! Found what we were looking for and Jay discussed the protection plan.

We love Bobs! We bought a sectional about a year ago and it has been one of the best pieces of furniture we’ve owned! We’ve bought from Macy’s, Levins, etc. Bobs is by far our favorite. The quality is great, the prices can’t be beat elsewhere, but most importantly the customer service is top notch! After our wonderful experience with our sectional we went back and Jay greeted us as soon as we walked in! He explained how to read their display sheets and we were able to shop with no stress or confusion which was amazing! We also decided to get our mattress there as well! He took the time to explain and allow us to try our several different types of mattresses to decide if we like pillow top or memory foam and customize a mattress for me and my husband which we had absolutely no clue where to start but thanks to Jay we were able to get a mattress that worked for both of us! He was wonderful and very knowledgeable! We can’t wait to get our furniture! Like I said we ordered several pieces and only have to wait 1 week for delivery which once again... amazing! We will definitely be returning customers :)

Al went above and beyond for us today at the North Hills location. After visiting multiple furniture stores in the area we finally found the perfect piece for our living room. Went to order order it and it was showing out of stock until December. He could sense my disappointment and I asked if it was possible to purchase the floor model. He worked some magic and we were able to leave that day with the piece.I highly recommend asking for Al and will continue to support this store with people like him working there.

I purchased a sofa and loveseat in mid August and paid in full. When my furniture was in, I waited 2 days to return the call because I was waiting to confirm my availability for delivery. When I called back to schedule delivery, I was told that my order was no longer available, it was given to someone else. Then I was told they would call me to next week to tell me when to expect my order. No call back from my sales person. I called the store and was told it would be another month of waiting. I canceled my order. How can my furniture be in, but given to someone else? I was told this happens often. I would never purchase or recommend purchasing from this store again.

Spare yourselves the headache and buy somewhere else.. awful experience after leaving the store all around. Lots of issues with delivery and installation (at one point, they needed to fix their installation error, broke my furniture instead, and left it so.. tried to hide it too), customer service really hard to reach, nobody was able to help finish the job yet, and its been almost 4 months since I bought my furniture, & 4 attempts to get it installed properly at home. Countless attempts trying to get everything corrected through the office with no resolution so far. Waiting for parts (screws, because they didnt finish the installation & tried to hide it yet again), which are listed as available according to store associates, is taking 2 months due to a pandemic.. just dont say theyre available when theyre not.

He helped us narrow down our decision with details he provided about the furniture and mattresses. We appreciated his help, promptness with the purchase, and attention during our shopping experience. Bob’s prices were incredibly reasonable compared to many of the other stores in the area. Jay, our salesperson, was really helpful too! He let us look around without adding pressure. When we came back the next week to actually make a purchase, we waited until Jay was available because he was so chill and easy to work with. Awesome, easy experience!

My couch and loveseat were delivered in September. Its now January and I am still waiting for the legs to my loveseat to be delivered because they didnt send them with the loveseat. I need someone from the store to contact me immediately. I do not have 3 hours to wait to speak to someone on your customer service number. First you delivered the wrong couch. Then when you brought the right couch it broke after two weeks at which point I had to wait three hours to speak with someone and then three weeks for a new couch. The new couch finally arrived today and when someone simply sat down the couch broke. It has been in my home for less then 24 hours. I have been trying to get a couch in my home for two months now and have even made payments yet I still have broken furniture. I’ve had enough and I want it out of my home immediately so I can buy a couch from a company with quality products that don’t break and customer service that actually takes care of you.

My experience with the local Bobs here in the north Pittsburgh area has been an absolute insult. If they tried, they could not have provided worse customer service. After waiting over 3 months for our sofa, and btw, I called 6 times to the local store for status and nobody ever answered. It wasnt until the 7th call someone answered. Jumping to the end, my furniture was scheduled for delivery on December 17th 2020, which as luck would have it turned to be the first snowfall of the year and the highest one day total in 10 years. I got an automated call saying my delivery would be late and then finally a call saying it was cancelled and we rescheduled for Sunday December 20th 2020. I got a text Sunday morning saying my delivery would arrive in approx 45 minutes. It never showed and they never called. I called the customer service number and spoke with a very matter of fact, border line rude supervisor that told me that when they cancelled the first delivery due to the weather, my furniture went to the next person in line and that it was now backordered until December 31st. No logical answer as to how I got a text saying my furniture was 45 minutes away when it was actually backordered. I left the rest of the story out because I havent taken my blood pressure meds yet today. Absolutely, without a doubt, the poorest most frustrating experience ever with a furniture store. Done.... just done...

My wife and I had a wonderful experience shopping at Bobs. Our sales associate Jay A., was very helpful though out our process of trying to figure out what style of couch and right size to fit our finished basement. Jay gave us our space, at the same time was close by if we needed assistance with anything. Jay showed us several different options of furniture which were suitable for our wants and pocket book. Jay went over receipt with us to ensure us that everything was correct and our delivery options were correct as well. Over all the experience was good and would recommend anyone to shop at Bobs. Once our furniture is delivered, I will be back to update my review and express our feelings about this process. Thanks again.

Good place and helpful staff. I worked with Jay, he seemed pretty knowledgeable. I went back couple times and he was patient to answer my questions to help me eventually decide. I would highly recommend the place.
