This is specifically about Kroger Pickup. Without fail, the staff at pickup have been polite and helpful, and sometimes theyve really gone above and beyond -- once when I was sick and they didnt have the type of crackers Id ordered for anti-nausea purposes, they actually rustled up about four boxes of another kind on request and didnt charge me. Today, when they were running late on filling orders, they called me in advance and communicated about the delay, accommodated my schedule in picking up the order, and even took $20 off the purchase for the delay, which I didnt request or require but I definitely appreciate! Ive been doing pickup off and on for a couple of years now and my experiences are just universally positive.
One of ther employee she is very rude,Not even trying to help you, even if shes not busy... And she got a big mouth too.
Nastiest Kroger I’ve ever visited. The place is filthy and looks like it’s been ransacked by rabid dogs, which by looking at the clientele, doesn’t seem to be too far off. Want a clean store? Go to Martin’s. Hell, even the Food Lion’s in town are better than this.
Great staff and always beautiful flowers.
Best Kroger in area. Always clean and well stocked. Plus its looks more upper class than Waynesboro one.
I wish the self checkouts werent card only! Only one checkout open for cash and it had a long line. I was only buying 2 items!☹
Work all day and rush to make it before 11 but they lock the doors at 10:50 and would not allow me to get a quick frozen dinner for my family. Will not be getting my business anymore. Plus change your hours to 10:50 if that’s when you close the doors not 11! All the places I’ve ever worked I wasn’t allowed to lock the doors early! Your open until 11 then be open until 11!!!
Went last night to pick up my western union wire, at 9:30. They said I could only buy cigarettes? I stated Im just here to pick up my wire? 2 employees told me it was closed. I asked what time did it close? The website says its open until 10? They both say it just closed. I asked again at what time? No answer. Return today. Got my wire after a cashier finally got someone to go up there. I again asked what time does this close? Was given this answer, I swear I cannot make this up, we close at 10, but there is minimal coverage after 6, also the western union closes at 9.This is why I drive past Krogers and shop at #Foodlion
I dont regularly shop Kroger but this one is well-laid out with quality products. They also have good pick-up sushi.
General manager discrimination against people with disabilities over store policy that has not changed in the past month. General manager hung up the phone when unwilling to work out a solution, will be taking my compliant to Kroger management.
The preferred pharmacy for my insurance plan in this area is Kroger. I switched to Kroger in Stanton because the store has a drive thu. I regret having done this. The pharmacy is either understaffed or poorly trained. They are insolent and have little concern for customer issues caused by their errors. I tried discussing a problem with the pharmacist and would have gotten a better response and more attention from my front door. I would not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. The grocery side is fine and enjoy shopping there.
This Kroger’s is clean big and have good workers
Kroger house brands are as good as the name brands. That is why I shop at Kroger. Low prices and food that tastes good.
Got what I wanted 2 cans of chicken and dumplings. I bet I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Tonight while picking up a prescription I noticed that the pharmacist was wearing his mask on his chin with his nose and mouth exposed. The entire time I was at the counter - at least five minutes - it stayed that way. He was the ONLY person wearing it that way that I saw in the store. But hes the PHARMACIST.
Just recently I was in the store and in checking out, I noticed a large spill on the floor in front of the check out and, as I was putting my items into the bag, one slipped out of my hands and fell into whatever this was on the floor. Fortunately, the item was contained in a cellophane container. I told the cashier about the spill. She replied Oh, I did not see it. She called another store employee over and they are both looking down at the spill and saying gee, I dont know what it is!!! Never called anyone to come and clean it up. It was, oh well!! too bad. How lazy can employees get. BTW, both girls were young. You cant depend on the todays youth to do anything . I spoke to the manager about it and he said he would have a talk with the girl at the register
Disappointed. I came in on Wednesday to order a celebration cake for Sunday pick up. When i got there nobody had any idea about the cake. And bakery staff was rude. When i called the manager, he instantly found the ticket with my cake order. He was really nice. The rude bakery lady then said she could do it in twenty minutes. And it definitely looks like she did. So disappointed in the cake. I literally could have done it because the words look like chicken scratch. I don’t plan on going back to Kroger for anything at this location anymore.
The employees have mostly been very helpful which means a lot to me as I do have physical challenges. Often Ill shop after 9:30 pm when only the self check is available + I need assistance. Most of the time staff has been helpful. Last night Tori was on duty. Immediately she offered to check me out in the regular checkout lane without hesitation. This was the first time she was on self checkout duty when I checked out. In the past I was helped, but checkout took awhile longer because other customers also needed help. Tori checked me out in the lane + it took a fraction of the time and I didnt have to wait at all which helped alot. I thanked her + said I wished others would do it because it saved me time + it took less time for the employee.Tori said that staff was authorized to do this if needed.I wish others would do it because it was helpful + took significantly less time for the staff. Tori went above and beyond and I hope that this will be noted in her record.
Love the gas points, coupons and fresh veggies. Good all around shopping experience. Checkout is fast (most of the time) Seafood and meat considered to be very good. Seafood lacking, in that too much salmon is from China and too much farmed food. We dont buy seafood with China origin Hope Aldi will not intrude.
Went there at 730pm. One register open and a line. I had to ask and was told they have no staff and half of what they have is training even though I saw no one training anyone. Isles are extremely cluttered would be very hard for the elderly to navigate Not a good store
Deli and meat counter should be closer together. Had to move stocking carts in two locations to get to display. Staff not consistently friendly. Charging full price for one item on a two for $ needs to be amended . Prefer to shop elsewhere, but gas is reasonable here.
Good grocery and the produce is also good. Not super friendly for disabled in chair. For example having credit card readers low enough for those in wheel chairs or scooters to see and use.
This store doesn’t enforce the VA mask mandate. Multiple customers and an employee were not wearing masks at all and another employee had hers below her nose.
The worst ever since they went to all self checkout..Oh you mean the one register means its full service??No one cares.no one has a clue..I should get a discount for having to do all the work of the associate..The store manager is a nice guy..But all he does is throw freight..and not up front watching the six kids standing around not helping anyone...Looks like Ill be going elsewhere to shop.I spend my money where it is valued at
I love that employees are never too busy to engage with customers. I love that Kroger is invested in the community! Theyve proved this by keeping their employees, rather than eliminating them, as others have after the installation of self check-out machines. At Kroger, I have a choice of how I check out without the risk of somebody losing their livelihood!
The fruit and meats always look good. If it werent for the manager specials and sales Id probably not shop there as often. A really good place to stock up on certain items
Normally a great place. However the person they had ringing tonight (11/17 9:15pm) clearly didn’t want to be there, was quite rude, and when she dropped an item I was buying picked it up and threw it into the bag so hard it was quite audible. Luckily wasn’t something I cared much to have mushed.First poor experience though at this Kroger. Hopefully the last. And hopefully this poor girl’s night turns around.
My family and myself have been here multiple times in the past couple years to get prescriptions only to be told that they dont have the medicine in stock but they could order it. Sorry but most peoples needs for medicine are immediate. If it was 1 or 2 times I would be understanding but we are talking about upwards of a dozen times.
This store is a mess! Terrible produce or empty shelves. If you ask for help, forget it. The young kids are too busy discussing their cell phones . Isles blocked with stock that needs put up. Again employees cant be bothered with work, empty shelves everywhere. Very poor management . Dont bother telling corporate, they dont care at all. Shop at food lion now. Much better customer service, lower prices. Love Martins too!
Kroger in Staunton Va is a great disappointment. The isles are clogged with stock carts, the back isle has pallets stored, this is a fire hazard. The staff do not know the merchandise and specials in the weekly sales flyer. The deli staff are not pleasant and helpful. Dont count on picking up cooked chicken in the deli, you will be out of luck. What is wrong with the Staunton store? The Harrisonburg store is most pleasant to visit. Maybe the manager in Staunton needs some tips from the Harrisonburg manager.
I enjoy shopping at Kroger. Polite friendly staff are knowledgeable about location of needed items. And, I love the gas points
Good priced food. Cheap milk. And helpful employees
Love Kroger! Thank you for all the FREE stuff and no waiting in line! Will be back soon.
I love Krogers store. Sometimes I wish it was better organized. And had more selection on some items.
Clean. Nice costumer service. Great prices on store branded items. Not to far from down town. You wont see it from the main road.
Got very fresh seafood, pork and beef. Great selection.
Shopping at 0800; no cashier...self service only. What about people who are not tech savvy? I feel like I should get a discount if Im going to be an employee.
Summers abut here so I guess its time for Kroger to hire out of school kids to hide in the back corner aisles and stand around talking about the next party and playing on their phones. It wouldnt hurt management to get out on the flor and keep an eye on their slackers.
I drove an hour and a half trying to find a place that cashes weatern union money orders and no one would. I googled all the places that would and none of them did. Even the Kroger in Harrisonburg told me they couldnt. Jeremy at Staunton VA Kroger at the front desk cashed it for me with no problems. He was very pleasant and helpful.
Ive enjoyed shopping at this Kroger for years, but it has declined greatly over the past year. The back aisle contains products stacked tall and wide, making it impossible to cut through to meat & dairy on the back wall or get out of the way of others. Shopping carts used for stocking are left in the aisles. Full service lines have been reduced to 4 and all are rarely open. Self-checking a cart full of groceries is difficult and time-consuming, as there isnt anywhere to put the bags once the small bagging area is full. The rotisserie chicken holder was off and empty at 5:45 on a weeknight. Ive been trying to be loyal but Im losing my patience. Martins got my business this week and shopping there was a pleasure.
Was happy with my visit. I found some great bargains.
Its okay. Worst part is the damn parking lot. I dont shop there often because so few know how to drive.
I was charged twice for a$15.99 (on sale for $11.99) large box of Milkbone Dog Biscuits. When I went to customer service (5 minutes later after I looked at my receipt) I was given a refund, but was told they were breaking the rules for giving me my money back! It was their mistake. They used to even give you the item free but no longer do this.
The pharmacy is awesome. They go above and beyond to help you. Plus the Kroger grocery deals and coupons are terrific
I used to enjoy shopping at this Kroger but recently I cant find anything, few staff at checkout lines and the store not having what I need has made it a pain to shop there.
Good prices..fast checkout
Home from hospital my husband needed a Rx. They got it done quickly and we were able to get him home and tucked up for the night.
Used their online service for produce etc pickup. Excellent service.
Always helpful and polite people working in the meat department. Great coupons, save money, great selection.
I always loved shopping at the store in Waynesboro that closed back in June. I love the prices, etc., but I dreaded each trip to the Staunton store. I finally tried the Arch Avenue store this week and plan to make that my new Kroger store!
Found all kinda good stuff I needed
Employees are mostly rude, and not helpful. Im also getting sick of all the pallets everywhere! Definitely makes for a stressful, unpleasant grocery run
Krogers is always a nice place to shop. The people who work there are friendly and willing to help if you have a problem. This is where I have my medicines refilled. Thank you. Darlene Lotts
Love Boars head products they offer along with milk in glass bottles.
Went in for a just a few things. Store was nicely laid out and easy to find everything. Clean. Used the self checkout, with no wait and no errors.
Some of the best allergen-friendly options for a chain grocery store, great fresh produce, helpful staff, always working self-checkout areas, and an unbeatable app and rewards program.
I love this store and all the employees.
Got sum cheap thangs in ther
All ways good shopping there fo a very long time.
One should not need to have a smartphone in order to save money. I consider this discriminatory against low income and the elderly. One can get the newspaper and have the kroger card and still not be able to use a coupon. Digital coupons are unfair.
Kroger is my favorite place to buy produce in staunton!
I love my Kroger store! Would not go anywhere else!!
Easy to find what we needed and quick check out
Very busy before Thanksgiving, but well stocked
Good store, they have items some stores dont even carry. Friendly staff
Convenient and on the way home. Groceries, redbox, staples most necessities can be found in this shopping area.
I think this Krogers isnt as organized as the one closing in Waynesbob on Lew DeWitt Blvd. They were out of stock on watermelons and black grapesAlso your coffe selection is very small and the kroger brand I use was also out of stock.
Great place to shop. freindly customer service
Kroger and Martins nearby are just the best grocery stores in Staunton
As always great service and sales.
Love their fresh produce and selection
I like the deals, amazing prices and their selection.
Decent prices, good sales, and generally clean. Also, if you get the kroger savings card you can get good discounts on your gas.
Only 2 types of sliced cheese in the non deli area. Even Food Lion has more choices than that
This Kroger goes up and beyond for their customers. The staff is so friendly.
Good prices. Fresh meat and produce.😀😃😆
They have fresh pipe tobacco!
I got everything I was looking for. I also got advise from the butcher.
There prices are decent and they are very friendly.
Good store. Pharmacy has some issues!
Traveling thru.. This Kroger is as good as any. Clean and friendly
Great value for your money.
Always a pleasure and the prices are reasonable.
Great price for rib roast for Christmas
This has to be the worst Kroger store ever. I have only gone in a few times, and will never visit this store again. It has a somewhat odd smell - fishy, perhaps? On top of that, I tried to use my bank card as credit - which I do at every other store in town, as well as in the Charlottesville Kroger (the Cville Kroger is great! Totally different experience). Staunton Kroger stated my card could not be used as credit because it said debit. I had to stand there and search everywhere for my pin number, finally found it....because I never use my pin, everyone accepts my card as credit !!!!! The clerk also wanted to argue with me about it. Ridiculous.Never again. I will stick with Martins for groceries (by the way, this has NEVER happened to me at Martins. In fact, this is the first time I have ever had this problem in a grocery store!)
We stopped for gas heading South, thought to get a quick sandwich for lunch. What a mistake! Deli counter girl had one speed-sloow. After a 20 minute ordeal (we asked to sub avacado for bacon), and a $1. upcharge, the self checkout was convinced we had an unscanned item in the bagging area, and exhausted the last of my suffering fools capacity for the day. Ill just skip lunch!
Best grocery store in this area.
Clean, quality produce, friendly staff, fast checkout
There is certainly a wide selection here and the store is kept up well. I will say that this chain is a bit expensive in comparison to other places. It does seem a bit dated also.
Friendly. Helpful pharmacy
I love this krogers! Great deals, clean, friendly staff!
Nice shopping. Lots of people today.
Wish the self check outs worked a little better, store is always cluttered, but theres always good deals here.
Clean, great service and friendly faces!
Dont do click list it doesnt save time at all
One of the nicest Kroger Ive been to.
Clean, well organized, friendly staff, nice selection.
