Make purchased online to installed in store. Paid for everything online. Nobody used masks or gloves and will get close to you when speaking. They didn’t took very well that I parked my car inside and locked the door to protect against COVID-19. It took them over 20 min to find my order in the system. When everything was done and I park back in front of the store and check, all my 4 wheels were scratched. The manager took pictures snd said he will give me a call latter. Then he proceded to charge me for installation even that it was paid in full online and I have my proof of purchase email on hand, that took an additional few minutes to clarify. After two days I received a call fm goodyear, not Jenkins Automotive, telling me they were calling me on behalf of Jenkins Automotive to inform me that Jenkins said they were not responsible for the damage. My venture with Goodyear and Jenkins ended in 4 scratched wheels in my 2016 Subaru Outback and nobody responsible to compensate. Good luck.
Fast service, polite, easy to deal with, they always get the work done.
Haven’t even got the tire yet and I’m already dissatisfied, likely won’t be getting the tire either.I have an odd tire size that no where seems to have, I called these folks and say they could have it in by today and they did they called and said they closed at 5. I’m coming 30 minutes away with a vehicle I can’t drive so I’m trying to find a way just to bring the WHEEL itself to have the tire put on. I called to ask if I made it there by 430 if there would be time. I couldn’t even finish my sentence and I was rudely cut off, I’m not sure if the guy didn’t realize I was just bringing in my wheel and not the whole car or not and on top of that the tire is damn near off it already so that was one less thing to be done. I’ll go somewhere else.
So my daughter order 2 tires gets a quote of what it will cost when ready they charge 90.00 more then what was told and didn’t bother to tell the difference till pick up. Next time call before doing service yeah it might be required but it is called customer service!!!! People on a budget like my kid makes a difference and I think of the elderly.... how many times do they do this to the customer???? Last time for me.....No more of my business!!!
Very Poor Professionalism. My wife was in the waiting room waiting on some tires to be installed and a State Inspection. Mechanics walked through the waiting room and returned to the rest of the gang making remarks in the garage. Hey Sweetie can I get you some Breakfast - Wow, go check out the woman in the waiting room - He Honey your tires are ready Dont let your wife or girlfriend go there alone.
Lousy service. Made an appointment, dropped off car and they didn’t work on it. Wasted my time and didn’t even acknowledge it.On my previous appointment they failed to fix my car properly. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.
I reccomend Jenkins Automotive with all my heart. Had problem and Justin and everyone was beyond Awesome. Fixed what everywhere else couldnt. God Bless these men!
Got 2 tires put on my car got me in the next day. Great service, price was best in area,
I would not recommend going here. My car was having trouble starting several times so I took it in to have it looked at, they said it would be 750$ for parts and labor. Jenkins claimed that the problem was the neutral safety switch, after they charged me 180 for a battery test and electrical diagnostic. I thought 750 for a neutral safety switch and replacement seemed high so I called another shop with the information that it probably was the neutral safety switch that needed to be replaced per what Jenkins had told me. This shop quoted it at 300$ parts and labor. The next day the car was starting just fine. I started it many times throughout the day to test it, then I decided to take it to a place right next to where I work to see if they could find a issue. They said it started every time they tried and that it was probably not the neutral safety switch. Jenkins would have charged me 750 for a part that I bought for 159$ and was going to have it installed if need be at this last place for what he said would probably have been 70$. I would have spent 750 installing a part i didn’t need.
Had my truck fail inspection today for a parking brake. They wanted $570 to fix it. Great way to treat a combat veteran around Christmas time. They told me to call the state police office if I had any questions, so I did. Go to Sears Automotive Service on Beverly.
They were suppose to fix a tire that was going flat, it took them 7 hours and they said that they didnt find a leak and that they re sealed the tire, they charged me $19.00 and I dont believe they did anything for to the tire except add air, for a couple hours after i left the tire went flat again and after inspecting it further myself I found a nail in the tire and I had to take it somewhere else to have it fixed for Jenkins had all ready closed. one thing for sure I hope they enjoy the 19.00 they took from me for it will be the last time. I do not recommend going here, but I do recommend Eavers tires of Fishersville for even though they were closed they stayed after closing to fix my tire... Thanks Eavers and thanks for nothing Jenkins
This is a great place to go and get Service.
Very disappointed in my service with Jenkins. I had an oil change and state inspection and asked them to check my tire pressure, and when I got back in my car my tire pressure light was on as well as my service light. After standing outside with them for 20 minutes with the owner’s manual and they also googled how to fix it...and they sent me to the Honda dealership across town to have them turn it off. I told them my tire pressure light was still on and they said I should just drive it above 35mph and it would turn off.I went to Honda where they quickly reset the meter and asked if I had just had it serviced because the tire pressure lights were on. I told them I was told to drive it and they asked me to wait in the waiting area while they checked everything. They came back in and said all 4 tires were at 4 different pressures, with one being at 22lbs, which really isn’t a safe driving pressure.I went back to Jenkins and told them (after wasting 90 minute of my day on all of this) and their response was, “Oh that was supposed to be part of your oil change...I guess the guy didn’t check them. I will let him know.” No offer to make it right. No apology for all of my time wasted. Definitely will not be back.
Awful. Just awful. My husband took our Subaru in to fix the timing belt after a failed shade tree job. He was assured that they could do it. THREE AND A HALF WEEKS LATER we have our car back. Sort of. It’s awful dealing with these guys. One excuse after another. One deadline passed after another. Ended up with entirely new heads. When it was dropped off the AC, radio, and key remotes worked perfectly. Now none do. No apologies. No trying to get it right. We now have an appointment with the dealer to fix the problems Jenkins caused. Grrrrr.....Update: The car was running quite nosy and rough when we got it back. My husband took it to the auto parts store to use their code reader. Took it back to Jenkins with the error codes. Got our car back in two days, but all they did was reset the computer. Didn’t actually fix anything. And had the audacity to tell my husband that they had nothing to do with the radio, A/C, and remotes not working. Just a weird coincidence that it happened while at their shop. All this for the low, low price to $4,500. Taking it to the dealer today.
Jenkins is the place to go for your automobile needs. Micheal out did himself on the new tire find. Fusion is riding pretty and tires are looking oh so good. Appreciate all you do Micheal and crew. Jenkins Automotive
OK so I used to take my car and just for oil changes. Stickers were never put on my car number one and number two once they found out I was paying with a company card on my company vehicle the price Would triple from what it would be when I came into the office. They would tell me one price before I left and then they would call me with an outrageous amount later on throughout the day. And on top of that my company vehicle came out with new issues. I will never bring my car here again
Terrible experience. Don’t waste your time and money with these people. I left with problems I didn’t come in with due to careless, rude, and trifling workers.
So helpful. Love this local place. Great staff. Always very nice.
My go to inspection station.Drop your car off, go walk downtown, get a cup of coffee, and then come back to a completed inspection. Ive been going here for about 10 years and always feel theyve been fair with with inspections.
Just moved here and these guys were great!!! Good service...good prices!! Thanks for making it easy to find a good mechanic!!!
Mike is got to be one of the best managers I have come across. I was in trouble with a Cracked Rim, Lincoln had the part backed ordered until mid August. I was traveling from Hilton Head SC to New Jersey Mike’ worked on the problemand got me home safely thanks Mike for all your help you went well beyond you responsibility.
Had car issues the day before a trip. These guys went out of their way to not only fix the problem but make sure it was safe. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.
The manager is very friendly and very informative. Thanks for the great job you did on one of my work trucks.
David at Jenkins has got to be one of the kindest people Ive ever dealt with. Not only was he professional, but very kind and also had a great sense of humor. He answered every question with no problem or attitude, which I feel is hard to find. More often than not, businesses almost seem bothered by questions and/or concerns. David explained everything and even shared personal experience. I am writing this review from another business that was trying to help a customer that was travelling out of state. David truly made this experience painless!!! Thank you, David - you really went above and beyond!
Took me in as a walk in for a front end alignment and was in and out in no time. They are good pricing and Mike is a really great guy and justin does great work will definitely be back
Great customer service. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Thank you!
Kept my husbands car for 3 weeks and did not ever fix it! Also lied about work that was done which we found out after bringing the vehicle to the dealer (who fixed it in 1 day). Refused to return our money & had to go to small claims court for a refund. I recommend that everyone avoid this establishment.
I made an appointment for inspection at 10:00 got there a little before my scheduled appointment and was told it would be an hour before they could get to me...if you dont take appointments, say so.. I have other things to do. They werent apologetic about it at all.
Ended up with a flat from rust on the seal, and the neighbor helped me jack it up and put a spate on to get there, and I never ended up spending a penny. I had been there several times so they had me in the system, but Mike and the team are great
I have a great experience! Very polite and professional. I will be using them again!
My husband and I got a flat tire on Christmas Eve and called and called around for places that would be able to fix it, and seemingly no one was open, until I called Jenkins, in which they were open until 12 AND had the tire we needed! I called at 11:15a and we were 45 minutes away from the shop and I asked if they could still take us if we left right then, and they said that they could. We arrived at 12:01p and we ran in, and they fixed our car right up.They were good, honest, kind men who took time out of their Christmas Eve to help us out, in which we really apprecaited their quick service and willingness to help us out in a pinch. They definitley went above and beyond and I would reccomend going there for any of your auto needs. I will definitley be going back again if I am ever in the area with car trouble!
I used these guys for almost a year thinking they were honest. Not the case at all. I sold my car to a mechanic there because he told me so many things were wrong with it. May have been the case, but now not so sure. Told them my other car was running rough and they told me it was fine. This happened twice. Less than one month later I was breaking down on the interstate. Cost me a $1,000.00. I needed 4 rotors, a caliber, a brake hose, and a tire. I was told the car was dangerous to drive. Lazy, lazy and lazy. They lost the owner a lot of dough and a customer to boot.
Great place, saved me from a bad experience!! Super nice guys
They worked with me easily and promptly. Great group of guys.
Jenkins is within walking distance from our house so we naturally tried them out. We took our vehicles to them several times over a few years with no issues. Then, once when we needed a new tire on our Mercedes they put 4 new on instead without asking/talking to us. I payed for the service, thinking they had spoken with my husband about it. When we realized what happened we took the car back (the next day because they were then closed) and told them to fix it. So, of course we were without a car for another day. Then the next time we took our truck, again we didnt feel that they were being straight with us. We later learned from a friend that they neglected to tighten the lug nuts when they replaced a tire for him, causing the bolts to break off and a great deal more problems for him. Im not sure what happened to Jenkins but we wont be patronizing them anymore, which is a shame since they are so convenient for us and seemed to be a great business for quite a while.
The mechanic was very mean, rude, and disrespectful. He never met me before but he was pissed off.He failed my inspection due to a bad tire. So be I went ahead and I bought a tire from him. He charged me $118, I checked the tire online and it was $65. I can understand some mark up but that is robbery.Anyway, he then still failed my inspection because the windhield wipers were bad. I went down the street and they passed me no problems.I have a friend of mine that was getting his inspection renewed as well. They informed him that he needs to replace the transmission case and quoted him $2000. He went to another mechanic and solved the issue with $23. It wasnt the transmission case, it was the antifreeze reservoir, it had a small leak that this guy thought it was from the transmission. If you can not tell the difference between antifreeze and transmission fluid, you are not a mechanic!Never ever again will I go to these guys. I would like to tell everybody to beware of these scammers.
So I tried to go to the one in Waynesboro they were so rude and disrespectful so I called Staunton Jenkins. Mike the store manager was so nice. He greeted me when I first came in and immediately took my car back to get worked on. Mike and Nathan were who I dealt with and they were great. Kept a nice conversation with me while I waited and even gave me a little discount Bc of my experience in Waynesboro. If I need anything else done to my car I will be returning back here. Thanks guys.!
They like to do this thing where they schedule things for you, then let the person who is supposed to do that for you leave before you get there.I was supposed to have an inspection done at 5, i got there at 4:45, and the inspector had already left. I was early. This place is ridiculous, and i cant reccomend you spend your time somewhere else more.
Attempted to sell me 1000s of dollars worth of work I didnt need done because they thought I was from out of state. Go to Hershey.
Terrible service. Tried to call to get a state inspection done and got hung up on.
Great service, convenient location, and they worked on the price with me to keep it affordable. If you run into car trouble on I-81 in Virginia, come to Jenkins. As I was driving to FL in the summer, my AC died, and my dog was miserable. I stopped in Staunton bc I heard it was a charming, historical town, and I found Jenkins Goodyear because it was next to my motel near the center of town. (They have a clean, spacious waiting room, but my motel was more comfy, and there are several nice coffe shops and stores nearby.)Mike Brooks, the sales manager, was super polite and professional yet friendly. He respectfully listened to me talk not only about my automotive woes, but also understood my travel situation and was very considerate of the fact that I needed to know the prognosis ASAP so I could adjust my travel plans. Mike was diligent about keeping in touch with me all day, even after my cell phone died. The price quote for replacing the compressor made me make an involuntary and apparently alarming screechy sound, and Mike automatically cut a little off. After my mom called her mechanic in FL and got a lower estimate, they cut about 20% off. They understood I was traveling and strapped to a tight budget, and they totally worked with me.Matthew the mechanic worked super hard to get the work done as quickly as possible, getting it done well before expected, even though I was a walkin. Also, they were super nice to my dog:)
Top notch staff, service, and great prices!
I loved this place andrew is a great guy!
Very nice and honest. Took time to listen even to the smallest of issues.
Inflated price from Goodyear website so order from Goodyear and have delivered to them. $15 per tire is ridiculous
Stopped going here a few years ago, but gave them another chance when we moved around the corner from them. Never going here again though, feel they are way too pricey!
Honest, and helpful, they do good work.
Great place to get cars fixed
Much better around for better prices.
Always seem to be fair and trustworthy
Very good service
