Great place, classic small-town American diner. Healthy portions, super friendly wait staff, fresh ingredients, low price. What more could you ask for? RECOMMENDED.
Normally I would say the best breakfast in Springfield, but I was disappointed that time. Eggs excellent, hash browns rock, omelettes amazing, pancakes perfect, oatmeal omg. Steak breakfast NOT good. The steak was way over cooked and the sauteed peppers and onions were barely cooked at all. The prices are not cheap, but usually worth the cost. Steak... No way!
Wait staff were excellent n the food was great. We got there and were seated right away. Our waitress was patient and fun for the kids that were with me. (Not my kids) lol. Nevertheless we enjoyed ourselves and took what food we didnt finish. Great improvement from 6 years ago. Great job everyone and well see you again soon. 🤗🇺🇸
The Food and Service here is always Fantastic.
I can tell you, without any equivocation, that this is the best diner I have ever been to. My wife and I make noises that we dont make anywhere else. There are some dishes that I would have to hold myself back from pushing my own mother out of the way to get to.

A great place to grab a bite to eat! Typical dinner food with many good choices on the menu. Also they have specials for the day. Always a good meal. Great friendly staff! Worth the trip.
Had the cheeseburger and fresh cut fries. Cooked perfectly and tasted great. Husband had the patty melt. He loved it! Side of brown gravy for dipping was also good. We will stop again if in the area!! Waitresses were friendly and funny!!!!

Food was awful and hair was on my egg sandwich and on my daughter’s dry overcooked chicken sandwich. Ordered and paid extra for real maple syrup for my granddaughter’s pancake and she was given the artificial syrup. Hash browns weren’t cooked and bone fries were extremely salty. Waitress never came back until we were just about done. We won’t be back.

Food always good, however found a beard hair in my fish dinner. The cook does not wear a beard net . The hair was cooked into the fish. Left me queezy....
Theyve just launched evening hours for dinner and it hasnt disappointed! The all-u-can-eat fried haddock is excellent. The open face turkey is absolutely real turkey and real tasty - my favorite so far. But I did try the meatloaf the last time and it was super yummy. They do have deserts and shakes year round, but Ive never had room for them. Plenty of booth seating and counter seats too. Definitely a larger diner, but the food is all home cooked deliciousness!

We are from Ohio and were visiting relatives from 9/15 thru 9/17. We were told the Diner had good food. They were right! The service was excellent, our food was delicious, hot and quickly served. The atmosphere is right up my alley with old time rock and roll music playing at just the right sound level, not too loud so we could converse without screaming! We ate there everyday we were there. We always had our 2 year old great granddaughter with us and the owner would give her a fresh chocolate chip cookie which she loved. On our last day there, they knew we were returning home that day and the owner gave us 2 cookies to go! They were delicious. We will definately dine there again when we return!
Horrible waitresses. My fiance and I got seated in a corner. It took her 20 minutes to even ask us what we wanted to order. I asked for a bagel and cream cheese an a cup of OJ and she brought just a toasted bagel with nothing on it and no OJ. Also.. I watched her go around and fill everyones cup of coffee, she did not once offer to fill ours nor did she ever even come over and check on us to see how everything was.I wouldnt even give a full starIt was that bad...

My wife and our 3 boys decided to try The new Royal Diner in Springfield after being patrons of the old one for years. The new owner who also happened to be our waitress was absolutely helpful and courteous, and the food was delicious. Im happy to see this place open again, and even more happy to see its local vibe and friendly atmosphere continue on with the new owners.

A hidden Gem in Springfield, this is the epitome of quality old school diner car food. I had the hashbrowns and they were so crispy but also moist. The service was personable and friendly adding to the quaint feel. We will be back for sure, and if you are passing through springfield for any reason you should stop and check it out!
Had a cup of corn chowder AMAZING. Tuna sandwich on Rye. So big could only eat half! Really super staff as well. Had a great time
A classic local dinner. Love dinners like this. Service was great, very friendly waitstaff and the customers were also very friendly and welcoming. We were travelers have breakfast on our way out of town and were happy we stopped here. Food was great, coffee was good for dinner coffee and the prices were right where they should be. I would definitely return next time we are in town.

This has been one of our favorite breakfast and lunch spots for years, so we were sad to see it closed ...and very happy it has reopened. So, we came by this morning to see how it is under new ownership: Service was excellent, and the food was very good. I had a bacon, cheddar and spinach omelette, and my dining partner had the Eggs Benedict. While the hollandaise was quite good, it did seem a bit on the salty side. Everything else was spot-on. Portions were generous, and prices as low as youll find anywhere in New England. Well definitely be returning soon.
Always a nice place to have a meal. It is the quintessential small town dinner. Ive known the owners Daughter for years and her staff is always polite and you get service with a smile.
Loved it! MASSIVE pancakes, friendly staff, and reasonably priced. After a meal where the two of us both ordered their biggest breakfast and all kinds of drinks the bill was only about $30! Im super happy with my visit here.

As in New local moving here from California 3 months ago, I have found this Diner to be excellent with really good home cooking. Ive only tried their breakfast so far and and they are outstanding, especially the hash browns. Ive gotten into the habit of going there at least once a week and will recommend it to everybody who visits me from out of town
I tried one of the specials for the day. Meatloaf, eggs, home fries and toast! It was excellent! I would absolutely order it again when I catch it on the specials board! Great service and food came to the table in a timely manner for the fact it was just after the lunch rush hour!

Love the food, the service and the good ol hometown diner feel. Ive been eating here for over 15 years and even had my first job there. Even though its changed hands throughout the years, the restaurant has always captured that classic diner experience and I think has only gotten better as time goes on.
Good food and great service. And the coffee... Oh the coffee just won me over! It was really really good! Typical american diner, the kind you see in the movies :) it was fun for us tourists to find it!
Our Waitress spent entire time arguing with the other waitress about her tips. She was so distracted by it that she forgot the toast and pancakes and the other waitress had to get them. Had Irish Benedict with watered down sauce what little there was. Egg looked fried not poached. Tried to get waitress attention for bill, she sat at counter with feet up, ended up getting up and tapping her on the shoulder. Overall very bad experience....
