It has been years since I have been to The Big Biscuit and I did not know of this location until we passed it. Cute Cafe and very clean. Our waitress was friendly fast and had a good sense of humor. Even though it was almost closing time we were not rushed. The food was hot and fresh. I had the chicken finger basket which was delicious. The sweet tea was one of the best I have had in years also!
The food was delicious as usual. The service was phenomenal! Though the restaurant was busy, Shannon was very prompt, friendly & efficient. We didnt have to wait long for the food & she checked in with us regularly. Best service weve had! We highly recommend this restaurant.
Never EVER disappoints. The staff is super friendly!! Always happy to see a new customer. The food is unbelievable, its just always done perfect!! They always have the food out early and hot. Always worth a wait if you get one :)
Been going here for many years, the food is almost always good but occasionally you get some yuk. The thing that bothered me the other day was our server talking right over our food and then it took forever just to be able to pay and get out of there. Server was nice, but I hate when people talk over my food.
A Big DelightAs I reveal in the fact that I don’t have to use my car as a mobile picnic table, I cheered the fact that the dining room of The Big Biscuit was open. It was my grandson’s prodding to have breakfast there, that reminded me of my first visit a couple of years ago.Now, as I dine at this local favorite for the fifth time, it has become one of my favorite restaurants for breakfast. The staff has shown themselves to be fast, friendly and pleasant. You’ll also find one of my favorite managers wearing his face mask that looks like a dog with its tongue sticking out.The restaurant practices social distancing practices as masks are worn by the servers helping to decrease any anxieties about dining inside. The kingpin item on their menu is the biscuit; thick, flaky and tender on the inside. I always order a second biscuit to take home for my breakfast the next day. The portion size of the meals themselves are reasonable and may cause you to take home some leftovers.Overall: A shout-out to the great waitresses and waiters for coming back during this pandemic so that we, the customers, can enjoy a great meal.
They have the best biscuits and gravy that you can get in Kansas City. Hands down
Best breakfast ever. 45 minute wait was worth it. I loved the option to get a text when youre table is ready. We were able to distance from others on our vehicles while we wait for a text. Great staff!
I had to ask for napkins, silverware, Salt, ice water, n hot coffee cuz the pot they first gave me was Luke warm at the most.... now understand that I had to ask for everything after I got my food..... n I had to sit n wait until my waitress was done talking to other waitresses ..... the only thing that I didnt have to wait for was the ck but yes I had to wait just to pay it too ...... n there were aboutb5 waitresses working n about 4-5 tables were filled ....it was not even busy..... I will never go to this one again n if I want big biscuit again, I will drive to the other side of the metro first..but I wont go here.....

For the first time trying this place out I was actually quite impressed with the size portion of food I had received I tried the Mayberry and wasnt disappointed at all and our waitress was very nice

Worst experience in a LONG time. Took us 90 minutes to GET food. Waitress didnt put our order in and said WELL at least I didnt throw the paper away with your order on it. We got 1/2 off our bill. Should have been free, then we got the WRONG bill. First and last time to visit this location. Food was good so 1 star for that.
This is one of the best, most consistent breakfast joints in johnson county. Everything Ive ever ordered has been perfect. Theyre very fast even when its a full house. The only problems I have here is decoding what to get because its so good.
The Big Biscuit will no longer take orders anymore without giving your credit card info over the phone. The First Watch restaurant down the street will though. Way to loose customers and tips. I use to order $10 worth of food there twice a month. In the past year of them not taking my order over the phone, I gave that money and tips to their competitors. I don’t get your business practice there Big Biscuit.

A great place for breakfast or brunch. Their biscuits are huge and delicious with melted butter. My husband takes his home with his leftover ham and has a sandwich the next day. I love the sweet and tasty fluffy pancakes.
Ive always liked their food, no problem there but their service was so slow....I had to get up to remind them we were still waiting on gravy. Had to ask way to many times for refills.....It reminded me why we hadnt been there in a while. :(

My daughter wanred to go here this morning to celebrate her 17th birthday. We had a party of 10. We had to make our reservation on Yelp! but it was easy to check in once we got there. We did not have to wait long and our waitress was very nice especially dealing with a table full if teenage girls. The food was delicious as usual!!!

Big biscuit or big mistake!!!! Wasnt prepared for my first time ordering from here. After waiting 45mins, my order still wasnt done, I was told to come back in 30 mins...when I did my order was still 5th in line to be made. At this point I just wanted my 50$ back, the manager was so very excited to tell me I cant have my money back, I have to call corporate office and corporate is closed until tomorrow. Sad excuse for management and completely disorganized chaos when you walk through the doors! The worst 1st experience Ive ever had at a restaurant! They should close until they get organized and know better how to handle a busy Sunday morning!
I always give Big Biscuit five stars but yesterdays meal was not the best mainly because of the waitress we received.
Very little taste and sausage patty was close to paper thin. Bob Evans is better plus you dont have a 27 min wait to get a seat.

Pretty good breakfast spot! Decent selection of breakfast foods, but we were primarily there for their Sticky Biscuit - biscuit loaded with raisins, cranberries & candied pecans. It was really really good! Definitely consumed my calorie intake for 2 days with this one biscuit.Service was good, the wait wasnt long. Nice decorations inside with some fun personality. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely recommend for an easy brunch.

My dine in experience has always been amazing but just recently i picked up a togo order and i was very displeased how my food was at the door unsupervised i feel like they could have handled it better.

Excellent traditional Eggs Benedict. Best hollandaise sauce ever! Perfect Denver Omlette. Thats what we had today. Great staff, very clean restaurant. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.

BOTH The food and service WERE GREAT TODAY. They aim to please . It frustrates that some people do not acknowledge their efforts to reopen and provide a consistent great place to eat. Acknowledgement and tips for the associates is the best way to thank them for a pleasant eating experience.

The food is terrific and plentiful. We had the big breakfast with biscuits and gravy and eggs and ham steak. Both were ordered with the breakfast potatoes- these deep fried potatoes are perfectly crisp with just a hint of salt. The eggs are cooked without being overcooked. The sausage gravy is just the right thickness for the saucer sized biscuits. These biscuits are definitely made fresh and not frozen. The sausage is not a frozen patty, it looks like homemade sausage. Coffee is good as well and comes with a carafe for the table.The wait staff goes above and beyond. They truly work as a team. Not only that, but they wont sit folks if there arent sufficient cooks to allow just the right amount of wait time at the table. Definitely worth the wait to be seated.
Drove from Illinois to try this restaurant and it was AMAZING. The food was so good and was so worth it. Also they singed happy birthday to my sister which was good

Really disappointed. My husband and I came here for a nice hot fresh breakfast and about 10 minutes after ordering, Our food came out already ready which we thought was strange, Theres No way it could have been made fresh and been done already, The sausage came out and was rubbery and kind of hard, Our biscuits were hard and also our bacon was like a straight stick, Confronted the manager about this and he apologized and made it right with us but also even said the look of the food was totally disappointing. This was a couple hours before they closed so I think they just didnt want to bother with making fresh food, So they just warmed up what they had and called it a day. I was super disappointed because the waiter didnt bother to look at the food and you could definitely tell by looking at it, or she did look at it and just didnt care. My husband and I were just trying to enjoy the meal the best we could and the waiter kept walking by us and tried sweeping directly under our table by our feet and was singing loudly and obnoxiously and she was also talking to another worker across the restaurant gossiping loudly about another employee and the phone rang and I guess the person had the wrong number and she got off the phone and was complaining about people having the wrong number. Im not sure of her name but she had kind of short dirty blonde hair, Probably early 20s and fairly skinny and short. Bottom line is, Im really disappointed in the whole entire experience and next time Ill drive the extra miles to visit a different location. This location is filled with pure laziness from the cooks to the waiter.
Food was good, and you get a lot for your money.
I walked in and no one greeted me. I walked over to the bar and made eye contact with several staff. Everyone just walked away and no one tried to help me. There were 5 -6 staff members that made eye contact with me and walked past me like I wasnt there. Will not be returning to this location.

Hubs and I went for an early Saturday breakfast. I love the casual feel and the reclaimed wood walls added a warmth to the space.The servers were very prompt, attentive and friendly. Our order was hot and served quickly. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and delicious. The sausage patties tasted homemade and the waffle was perfect! The only slight disappointment was the corned beef hash. It was overly salty and had a mushy texture, as if it came from a can.Thanks for a great breakfast, Big Biscuit!

I go here when my parents come into town. Its freaking awesome. Very popular place so expect it to be busy. However, Ive never been here and had to wait to be seated. As the name implies the biscuits are BIG. The portions in general are large and the price isnt anymore (likely less) than what youd pay at Dennys. Except the Big Biscuit serves better food. The place is clean and the staff is courteous. If I lived closer Id go far more often. Get the kitchen sink bowl (I think thats what it was called). That thing is amazing!

Not as Good as it use to be. Pancakes was look like a well done stake. Order 3 extra Pancakes. Only got 1. Biscuit and Garvey had no Sasage in it. Not what Im use to getting.
