Well worth the detour! Such good coffee and really aware of international problems surrounding the industry. Wish I lived in the area so I could take advantage of the classes they offer. Also really dig the fact that they still ask customers to wear masks. Vaccination does not equal complete immunity folks!

I visited on a Saturday morning around 10 am. The venue has a few tables out front for about 4 seated patrons. Inside, youll find a tight area where bagged coffees and menu items and specialty drinks are displayed followed by an even smaller area to pay the cashier. Further inside, you will find another set of tables that seat approximately 4 in total. There seemed to be a staircase within that might lead to more seating above but the area was much too cramped for waiting around. The venue has the feel of a wine cellar/artisan barnhouse....a very distinct feel. You can watch the baristas prepare drinks inside but there is generally very little space to wait and certainly no space if you desire to social distance. At the end of the day. I purchased the cold turtle latte for my better half which she enjoyed and I got myself a cappuccino. The latter was not very good...no foam...watery in flavor...whatever was mixed did not mix well.Nevertheless, I would return again to try something else. They had great service and a wide selection.. There is a wide range of Cervantes brewed coffees available to try on the menu. I purchased bags of their El Salvadoran roast and their Limited Edition dark roast and brewed them both at home and was pleased.8/ 25/21 Update: I went back for the mocha....it was excellent.

I pass by this place all the time and finally decided to stop in. Very cool little coffee bar / roaster in the middle of an industrial area! They have a little library with kid books too! Theres a slow drink bar for pour overs and French press orders, and their drip coffee is solid! Much better than the Starbucks down the road!

Ive now been ruined by the best coffee in the area. Seriously the best coffee within 10 miles. How have I missed these guys all this time.I had a latte and purchased a bag of their award winning single blend coffee for my home espresso machine. Cute local coffee shop! I got the nitro cold brew with 2% milk. The nitro is very smooth and flavorful without being bitter. I had never been here before and the barista was very helpful, letting me know what type of cold drinks they had and recommending what I should try. This shop doesnt have any indoor seating and only a few tables outside, but I would still recommend checking it out for a morning or afternoon pick-me-up.

Amazing, unique blends you wont find anywhere else in the area. So good. And you can order literally anything -- hot drip, pourover, cold brew, etc. The service is great so it will always be made to order. There are really no good coffee shops in Fairfax, Chantilly, Springfield, etc. -- aside from this one. They crush it, and stand out among everyone else. Go get a cup and see for yourself.

I drove past this place so many times and it was always an afterthought that I would stop in.Finally in the Fall of 2019 I turned in and ordered a few drinks ranging from simple cold brew to flavored lattes. I am so glad I did.Since then I have been buying their whole beans for my coffee at home. My favorite is the El Dorado blend. I grind the beans myself at home. The aroma fills the whole house. The taste is strong with hints of chocolate, not overly acidic, smooth.I also started getting a growler of their cold brew for the week. Its easily the best cold brew I have had.

I am not a big coffee person but this has become our favorite family coffee place. The coffee is smooth and tasty. Not bitter like at Starbucks or watery like at Dunkin. My favorites so far have been the turtle iced coffee and the Vietnamese coffee. My kids love the hot chocolate. I also enjoyed the strawberry muffin and the Turkey croissant sandwich is awesome. You can order online for contactless delivery but they have a wall of daily coffee specials that arent included on the online platform. Id love to see those added online as well.

This is a coffee wholesaler that has a small shop to show off what they do all day. They only buy from small, sustainable farms and roast their beans on site. The first time I visited, staff told me that they supply several restaurants in and around DC. They help support women farmers in Central America among other things. Everything is ethically sourced, fresh, and flavorful. Very few places earn 4.9 stars on Google. This place is one! (The hours are limited. So you have to plan around that.)

Found this roastery by accident on Google. It is super close to where Im staying and isnt Starbucks. I ordered a mocha and three bags of coffee. I love the industrial, cozy feel of the building. The employees are super nice and professional. The coffee was good. It wasnt my favorite flavor of coffee—the notes I mean, but it sure beats non-roastery coffee or Starbucks. I liked how the mocha wasnt overpowered by the sauce. It was well balanced and I could still taste and enjoy the coffee. There are no bitter undertones. the roast was pretty nutty, but not overpowering. Like I said nutty undertones arent my fav. Id definitely go back though. Its great to support local business. Cervantes is a gem, hidden—go check it out!Lastly, the coffees are mostly single origin which are my favorites. I got three different ones ranging from light to dark med roast. Cant wait to try them.

Came here to buy fresh roasted coffee beans and the place smelled great! My first time here and had a bunch of questions. The young lady helping me was very helpful and friendly. I also got a double shot of espresso of the beans I bought and it was good. They deliver by mail (online ordering) and Ive also seen their coffee at Wegmans.UPDATE: Ive taken off a star (from five to four) because they dont date their bags of coffee beans with the date it was roasted. Ive been getting into making espresso at home and the best time to use coffee beans is between 3 and 20 days after the roast date. I was having problems dialing in my espresso shot with their coffee beans and maybe its because it was too far from the roast date. I have since tried another roaster and they clearly label the date they roast their coffee and I had no issues dialing in the shot.

Like a diamond in a haystack, Cervantes Coffee is truly a hidden gem in an unexpected location.Located in the middle of an industrial park and neighbors with a mechanic shop, I was skeptical about this place from the get-go. But, as soon as I stepped through the doors, I knew I was going to be pleased with my decision.Immediately I was hit with the pleasing, intoxicating aroma of fresh coffee. This isnt too surprising, as I later found out, because they actually roast their own beans in house. If youre into coffee at all, you know thats a big deal in terms of freshness and quality. A young lady, who wasnt at the counter, but in the back working a Chemex and chatting with a customer informed me that shed be around in just a second.I wandered around the front of the store for a couple minutes, just taking everything in. The design of the shop is quant, cozy (albeit maybe a bit stuffy) and certainly unconventional even for a coffee shop. Nicknacks and pictures cover the walls, theres old carpet on the floors, open closets and a small bakery right in the entry way. In any other place I probably would have felt uncomfortable, but here it just felt welcoming. Almost as if I had stepped into a friends apartment for a cup of coffee. After a couple of minutes, the barista came around and asked me for my order. Whenever I go to a coffee shop, my preference is always to ask the staff what they enjoy. I did exactly that and she recommended Chemex pour over with a light blend that she claimed was strong, but not offensive. Intrigued, I ordered and paid about $4 all said and done.I then took a seat in the back area. Again, everything was unconventional. None of the chairs matched, we were walking around on a garage floor surrounded by wooden barrels and palates. But, once again, I felt comfortable. I grabbed a seat and waited about 10 minutes for my coffee. When it came, I was mightily impressed by the quality. Not only was the coffee wonderful, as the barista recommended, but the pour over was done exceptionally well. The flavor was smooth, well-balanced, not oily and a great temperature. This just goes to show that my cup wasnt made in haste, but that she took the time to really make it right. All in all, I really like this place. Its a little out of the way, but definitely worth the trip if youre in the area. Its a great place to work, meet, read or just drink a really good cup of coffee. The only thing I dont like is the parking. Like I mentioned before, this place is in the middle of an industrial complex and, apparently, industrial people protect their parking spots like gold. If the designated spots outside the shop are taken, dont park around the building. Theres street parking a little further down the road.

Despite being tucked away in an industrial park area (pretty easy to miss if youre not looking), this place is amazing. Coffee bean selection is excellent (highly recommend the Chiapas if you prefer a medium brew; and the espressos are delicious), and the specialty lattes are delicious. Case in point, their orange mocha. Tastes like youre drinking a melted orange chocolate with enough caffeine to keep you going.Parking is a bit tight, so time your trip so you can take your time perusing the bean selections (yes they will grind it for you if you want). Or mull over which specialty brew you wanna drink. And ph yeah, you can buy their iced coffees to enjoy at home. Havent tried it yet but seen enough customers head out with sizeable containers so it must be pretty darn tasty. And the staffs super friendly and helpful in guiding you on what to try.
