You will not find finer people at any establishment in town. For that reason alone, I would go here even if the food sucked. But it doesn’t. Everything is good, but a few highlights for me are the tomato bisque (yes, the rumors are true—I did eat a whole quart of it at one sitting.); chicken pot pie, pasta salad (why get a bag of chips with your sandwich when this is available?); ANY cookie, and the Salty Dog on ice.Full disclosure—my daughter works here, but she did not coerce me in any way to write this review.

This is the best place to eat in Springfield. Amazing staff, food, and atmosphere. I get the Gobble Gobble everytime I come and it is delicious. Ive never had a bad experience. 10/10Sadly no Dr. Pepper option for drink. :(

Fine.Doesn’t live up to it’s nice business design. Sandwich’s we’re good not great. Creative but not very flavorful. Fresh but not worth the wait.Espresso was bitter and pulled too quickly. This is what I like to refer to as “not a coffee shop” or a place that just decided to add espresso to their menu without trained baristas.Overall, fine but over priced and slow.

1st time visit, nice place. Bigger than I expected on the inside! Food was delicious, && the 2 young ladies at the counter were very patient and helpful while being busy!! Turtle Mocha, The Salty Dog, and the Chedder Bacon Biscuit I threw in last minute was very yummy!! && it was a BIG + the biscuit was still warm off the plate!! Highly reccommend!! 😋😋

Store looks nice, seating is not crowded and comfortable. and staff are very friendly, greeting you when you come in and thanking you, as you leave.I ordered Mac&Cheese and a side of BBQ Pork, then my wife ordered Turkey and Cranberry Salad. I received M&C and 1/2 bun with 2 chicken nuggets.and pickles. My wife received a Southwestern Salad, with dressing on the side.The M&C white sauce had no cheese taste, nor salt. The salad had no bite.Lastly, our drinks from the refrigerator were barely cool, as the unit seemed to be running without enough coolant.

Kinda seems unorganized, expensive, and I didnt think that the food was great. You ordered at the counter and carried your own food. But they still ask for a tip. If you wouldnt tip at subway. Not sure why you tip here. I remember waitresses used to make a real small dollar an hour and they would depend upon tips. But I bet these people all make a decent dollar a hour. People. Tip your waitresses not the whole daily staff. Good spot for hipsters and office staff lunch breaks. I will go to subway or Jimmy John next time.

Excellent place to go for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or a snack/coffee break! Their biscuits are perfect, not at all dry like scones can be. They have a great selection of healthy meals. It is a little pricey, but the food has always been worth it, plus youre supporting local and Cafe Moxo gives back SO MUCH to the community ❤

I got the Beebs sandwich and my brother got the Kent. We both got sick from the food. It also tasted like there was sugar or something in the sandwich so that was odd. It was not good. Will not be eating their food again.

When attempting to pick up an order placed online, staff did not address me and helped other customers instead and then when I asked about my order since I hadn’t picked up before and wanted to make sure I was doing it right, the staff snakily told me they’d get to me and then when they did come to help me told me my ticket was “lost” and they’d have to make my food even though my ticket was sitting on the counter when I walked in. Confusing and overall bad service which is a shame because the food is typically good. Likely won’t come back for a while.

My mom and I are here now, we are from the quad cities, and OMFG the food is wonderful! The employees are so friendly and helped us pick out the best sandwiches, soup and salad! And they have peach iced tea that is wonderful!

Had coffee and cookies for break between visits to Lincoln sites. Decent prices and good for a light nosh. Bathrooms did need some serious attention.

Overall the food is good. However Ive noticed recently their dishes and their silverware constantly have a white haze on them and just appear overall dirty. I think they might need to check their dishwasher.

Very clean and nice place. The food was good Minus the macaroni and cheese. Just bland, no flavor and no cheese. Great location.The ordering staff was rude. I tried to ask a question and she was super rude. It was my first time there and I just had one small question. It wasnt even super busy at the time. So a little patience would have gone a long ways. I had the Giddy Up breakfast sandwich and it was fantastic. The cranberry biscuit (scone?) was flaky and not too sweet, a nice contrast to my coffee. Cafe Moxo offers fresh, original food that never disappoints. We especially enjoy their specials and often mix that up with tried and true selections.Above and beyond their outstanding food, they give generously to the community. In the worst of times, Moxo helped others and worked to maintain staff.

Nice cafe with good food and friendly service. Following covid guidelines with limited seating. We both had soup and sandwich and both were excellent. Cant remember name of soup but it had sausage, squash and pears and it was so good I bought a quart to go.

Tried this place for the first time. Great place to stop in if tour fowntown springfield. Place is always busy! Very fun, unique menu and everything there is so good. I cant wait to try more options on the me u!

We ate here twice when we visited Springfield to see some of the Lincoln sites. There are not many places open downtown now with the covid virus going on. This place has a nice lunch menu and breakfast menu. You order at the counter and they will bring to your table. It appears that they also have a brisk takeout business.

We ordered the avocado toast and giddy up breakfast sandwich with coffee and cookies. Both the toast and sandwich were very tasty with standout sauces/fillings, although the bread and bagel themselves were a little lackluster. The cookies are definitely not to be missed! We got the brean and double chocolate.

Truthfully....the Breakfast Burrito was amazing, never had a Burrito this great at any place; also had the egg and sausage on ciabatta it was above & beyond the very best. Were from New York formerly and now live in California and this is truly a five star plus breakfast place. Dont miss out on dining here. Outstanding!!

Ordering at the counter is a chaotic process your first time. Kinda pricey. Tables clearly aren’t being cleaned in between uses...not cool during covid. I would try again, but a slight let down given the high ratings.

Cafe Moxo has been a mainstay of downtown Springfield for years now. Its a great spot for a quick breakfast or lunch, or even just a coffee in between. The menu is a mix of cafe standards and novel items. The pot pie is a local favorite. Though prices have increased in recent years, I find the quality to be worth what I pay.

Cons: I got the Huck fin tuna sandwich that supposedly has albacore tuna, walnuts, apricots, and romaine lettuce. It was insulting. It is tuna salad made with canned tuna and there were no apricots that I could tell. It was plain multi grain bread with a dollop of tuna salad in the middle (barely spread out) and 3 small lettuce leaves on it and it cost 8 dollars and change. It took 15 min to get to me too. I could make this better at home or just go to subway.Pros: The coffee was good, staff friendly, and boyfriend got the Yankee Doodle bagel with smoked salmon that was actually made well and tasted good.

Very good food. A different way to order— there are boards that are kind of hard to read. (Maybe get some low tech menu boards on the wall that people in line can read?) Anyway, the food was great, not cheap but worth it. Recommend!

I like the Rover Red Rover salad, but you cant go wrong with soups and sandwiches either. I really like their breakfast eggs and, of course, coffee. I particularly like the portabello eggs.

Meh. Found their pot pie they brag about being just a clump of dough, chicken, a carrot or two, and a few peas. The crust was soggy and the flavor was bland. Took 3 bites and gave up. Felt like I was eating Stage 3 baby food.

Cafe Moxo has very involved leadership. They step up to the plate to ensure their customers are safe. This locations is usually busy but the staff are very attentive. Breakfast burrito is some of the best in the business. Cookies, coffee and tea lock this place in the memory Bank.

Very good lunch today at Cafe Moxo. I had soup and half a sandwich. The interior decorations were nice and the staff very friendly. There was a wide selection on the menu of unique items. I would definitely go there again. The restaurant is very convenient to downtown Springfield and easy to get to.

Awesome service, piping hot coffee, and delicious sandwiches! Highly recommend the Cuban, it was incredible!

I am glad that the restaurant is there and open given all that has happened. But I did not enjoy my meal at all I cant imagine what they did to make it so not tasty. I will go back for the coffee. It might just be me many people really really enjoy their offerings.

This is a small business to be sure and support during the Stay-at-Home order. Our favorite thing to order is a late breakfast; the sandwiches are always hot, fruit cups and bakery items are fresh. Everything carries nicely from the restaurant to our house.
