They have a lot less inventory than they used to. And for a used bookstore their prices on some books are still pretty high. Overall still very friendly staff and atmosphere.

Its a great little book store in a busy area of Springfield. I was passing through, stopped by out of curiosity, and walked out with a Stephen King hardcover at a great price.

The books arent cheap..but neither is their quality. They have a plethora of excellent religious books for anyone that wants to study the Bible. They have a large selection of fantasy and western, historical and sci fi books as well. The owner and the workers are always upbeat. Ive come to this store since they opened.. its not Barnes and Nobles, but I think its just as good. I gave four stars only because I do think their prices are a bit high at times for used books. But they have been in our neck of the hood for years and without them, it wouldnt be the same.

Owners and employees refuse to wear them and allow their customers not to wear them, decisions which go against our city mandate.ABC Books operates under the idea of being a Christian bookstore, but if their religion makes them ignore their ability to impact others, then one has to wonder if their religion is really just an excuse for self-centered behavior and narcissistic myopia.

Not just a great bookstore with an amazing selection, but wonderful people as well! My cat and I were stranded at the autoshop across the street (car broke down on a cross-country trip), and the folks here let me browse and read for hours, while Lizzie (cat) got to nap in her crate. So much better than being miserable in the Big O lobby for 7 hours, and the great selection made it hard to choose which books to buy!

They are clean, organized, and labeled the shelves and aisles. They have tons of selections! History, religion, science. Any topic you can think of! The usual genres, sci fi, fantasy, romance, children and young adult, mystery, thriller, horror. They have a little bit of everything! Very cheap. The lady working was incrrdibly friendly and ready to help! Its a great store!

I use to order hard to find items and they help. Pay up front no hidden charges. Twice order was not as advertised and it was returned no cost. Workers care for customer and seek to help. All genre and age books. Some reasonably priced some MAY be high. If looking for specific religious book I RECOMMEND. Also some children collectable titles most in good shape. Check inside for tears and scribbles

They are accepting and selling fewer and fewer types of books. Sadly, it is half the store it used to be.Be warned, if you sell books to them on trade, you have a limited time to access that money before it is absorbed into their accounts. You may think you have $20 or $30 credit, because that’s what your trade slip says, but you’d be wrong; you have zero dollars.

We were visiting from out of town and stopped in looking for my daughters summer reading books. Not only did this local store have in stock what we could not find at the big chain stores, they had a blast selection of books that were well organized. Exactly what I look for in a bookstore. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I highly recommend.

Nice selection of used books, religion, spirituality, books about/on the the bible seem to be their largest selection. Plenty of fiction and sci-fi/fantasy, also history. Seem to be thin on the childrens books however young-adult is better. A nice place, friendly & helpful staff. Will most likely revisit the store even though they did not have what I was looking on this day.

I absolutely love walking into ABC Books. Very organized and neatly stocked with good subject displays. I was very comfortable with the customer service, especially since it was almost closing time and I had numerous questions. The woman there was so kind and had a lot of patience with my need for assistance.

Opened in 1989. Ive been going for many yrs. Always friendly, helpful. If dont have a particular book, will order online if possible. I strongly recommend it. Stepping in the door is like coming home to warm accepting atmosphere. But you try it for yourself.

ABC Books is the very best, especially Christian books and they have a huge selection of business and art books. Valerie and the staff work hard at helping you find just what youre looking for. I go there every chance I get. They have literally thousands of books and the staff know where every book is. Awesome place.

Lots of books in no particular order except fiction is in the back of the store, and Christian is in the front. Hard to find anything worth reading.Brought at least 30 books for store credit. They offered to exchange 5 of my books for $30 store credit. They said I could .donate. the remaining 25 books. I wanted three new (used) books and they wanted $34 and change!Way overpriced. I wont go back.

The people are very friendly and very helpful. They have a good selection and fair trade in values. I have been several times for several years. My girls and I love this book store.

I love that they do custom orders for books they dont have, it just goes to show that they care about their customers. Their selection of books is fantastic as well. Theyre always getting new stuff in and getting it on the shelves quickly. This is the only bookstore I go to.

The ABC bookstore has a very intelligent, friendly staff. I have found all to be very knowledgeable and helpful. I have shopped this store for many years; as have many of my family, friends and former students. The newest owners have improved the quality of the books they purchase, the organization of the books, the appearance, and support many local authors. They are willing to acquire/order books for special interests, in good condition and reasonable prices. I will continue to buy all my reading materials at this locally owned store. FYI, I do not personally know or have any affiliation with ABC Bookstore.

First time in the store with my daughters and we had a great experience. We traded in a couple of books and they are reading all the way home. Great place to find affordable books!

Clean, well put together, lots of books. Primarily Christian lit though, I am pretty sure there were 5 shelves of no Christian topics. But if youre into theology this is your place.

This is quite possibly one of the best used bookstores I have ever visited. The selection is broad and well organized. Found a great Henry David Thoreau folio, and used trade value to buy it. They were very fair.

No,the employees at ABC books are NOT consistently friendly.Nor do they ever show much interest in buying desirable books to resell to customers when they have a chance.During the past 10 years they have repeatedly refused to purchase books in good condition,written by reputable authors,from me.In fact they have not once made a purchase from me,which raises questions about how many good books they could offer but dont because they didnt make the effort.Has anyone ever actually had ABC purchase a good quality used book from them?The store is dusty,dirty and in poor condition.Just dont be surprised if you find this to not be such a wonderful place,and heads up:That area is a hotbed for meth labs,thus there are also a lot of other kinds of crime in the area.Maybe youll get lucky and have a good experience there but if you dont its more likely them than you.

I suggest you do not go here to sell back your college books! I paid $500 for my books and they only paid me 50 dollars, and then they will profit about 400 dollars from selling them. I understand wanting to make a profit but that is too much of a gap. I looked up the same books on Ebay and I would have gotten about 350 dollars for selling them on there. I cant comment on buying books from there because I didnt do this, but I will be selling back my school books online from now on.

I called them twice, two days in a row about books i had to sell them... they said theyll buy all of them and i live an hour away from the place... i go up there with the books and they said that they dont want any of the books...I dont have a job so i find anyway possible to get money and when they rejected my books it really hurt cause i had no money for gas to get back...these people are liars especially that manager TJ... i give 1 star, if only i could give 0 stars...

A wonderful used book store with a wide variety of titles rotated regularly.

I was excited to go in and look around on my day off. Over heard older woman with blonde hair at counter talking to a young gentleman employee about another woman employee about her weight. You could tell he was uncomfortable about it and in my opinion it was disrespectful. For what I got to look at an okay selection of books but I will never shop at a place where people are verbally putting other employees down in front of customers. Do that crap in your own home and dont include other employees in with your nonsense. Too many other small businesses to shop at. Good luck keeping the doors open.

Its alright. There isnt a very wide big selection of books and most seem very overpriced. The store itself is a little dinky. Other than that, its pretty decent.

Man this place is something else I was shocked to see what some of the books looked like but the asking price was even more shocking it was sad for a used book store I payed 12.00 for three small paper backs and then went down to the to the and pick up 23 hard backs and all different sizes name brands and even one that u can record u reading the story for a big woppin $10.56 I mean I about fell over so my grandson when and pick out 15 more
