My car went up in smoke Wednesday I pushed it to the lot Thursday morning I go to see if they could run a diagnostic and I came back before the end of the day and they told me I just needed gas!!! I got gas and Friday morning Iβm back on the side of the road in DC with smoke π¨ and no way to get home!!! This was the most lazy thing Iβve ever experienced. After arguing with the associate about needing more information for the diagnosis he said just get gas and carried on. I will never take my car back
Beware!Expect to wait at least one hour past your scheduled service time for your vehicle to be looked at. Once they finish, be sure to inspect everything they do on your vehicle. Somehow, one of their service technicians forgot to tighten the bolts down on my wheel, leading to one of them coming off while driving and another being loose. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for your car maintenance needs.
I was in the Springfield location on 10/8 for the state, safety, and oil change service. My understanding was when they run a safety inspection they will tell me if I need an oil change. Safety inspection passed with the front wiper changed. Then one of the front desk employees came and told me you do not need oil change however we have already drained out the oil so now we do not have any choice so you will be charged. My point is you guys have expertise so you should check if I really need an oil change and advise us accordingly. So I was charged for a service that I do not require. Also, I had scheduled an appointment at 8:30 AM and the car was returned at 11:15 after several attempts at two of their offices. The oil change sticker was missing and I again have to walk in for the sticker. Very disappointed with their services.
I was very disappointed with the service at Virginia Tire & Auto in Springfield. I booked an appointment for a routine oil change on my Audi A4 for 8:30 am (7/22). When I arrived for my appointment I was quoted a total turn around time of an hour and a half. Based on that estimate, I decided to stay at the shop and wait instead of coming back later. My car was not brought into the bay until 10:15 am, and my keys were not handed back to me until 11:30 am. The mechanic appeared unfamiliar with the procedure for removing the shield on the underside of my car, and the some fasteners ended up on the top of a tool chest, some went into his pockets, and some were just left on the ground. When it came time to reattach the shield to the underside of my car, the mechanic dropped several and had to go back over the car multiple times swapping fasteners around until he seemed satisfied they were in the correct position. I asked one of the staff inside the waiting area to go and confirm that all of the shield fasteners had made it back onto the car, but based on his brief glance at the mechanics work I am not confident that everything was reattached correctly (I have not yet had a chance to jack up the car and confirm).Additionally, during my time waiting for my car, I noticed that several other customers came in and complained about the workmanship on their vehicles. In at least one case these individuals were given discounts as an attempt to placate them. The establishment seemed understaffed, and in the case of my car, disorganized to the point of potentially misplacing fasteners. Employees argued openly in front of customers. As the cherry on top of my experience, a dirty rag was left on my passenger seat by the mechanic.
I came in for a tire rotation because it was a free service for buying tires from them. I was on to for my 8:30am appointment. I told them that I would be waiting for it. I walked around for an hour until they drove the car into the bay. after 10 minutes in the bay the service manager informed that the tire is flat. They initially told me that there was a nail in the tire. He showed me the tire and I asked him why was the nail taken out to deflate the tire. after further inspection, they showed me there was GASH on the side of the tire. I was upset and could not believe it. I told them to re-inflate the tire so I can go somewhere else. I told the manager why I was upset, and Chris said it was not his peoples fault. He said that it was flat when It came in. When I questioned him, why didnt the technician stop moving the car as soon as he noticed that the tire was totally flat. Chris said that they wanted to take it into the bay to check. Bottom line, it was odd to find a gash on their lot while parking there waiting for a tire rotation. Chris will deny it, even when I asked to see the video footage from the security cameras. I would never use them again. When you schedule an 8:30 am appointment, dont expect to get worked on for at least a hour. I would not trust them with my car.
I am so pleased with the service provided by John at the desk and the mechanic who did the repair when my RAV4 was rejected during its annual inspection. The work was done timely and was much cheaper than expected. With over 200,000 miles on this car, it will need more garage time and thanks to John, we know where to bring it.
It is extremely difficult to get a hold of someone on the phone, after calling multiple times in the span of a week no answer. I eventually drove down there only to discover they are woefully understaffed. Please look elsewhere for a speedy experience.
Good service and they have rental cars for you if your car is going to be overnight or take longer to fix ...
First of all I tried to call them couple of times in one week for appointment they never pickup the phone. So I decided to go my self I drop my car for tire rotation and oil change and also scadual for my other car for service next day. I pick up my car after they call and say car is ready I notice the car drives worst then before and also noise coming from front tire. I keep calling them and finally after couple of attempt they pickup the phone and I complain about noise they said bring it back we will see whatβs going on I notice that one of the front tore they put in rear the the rear one they put in front. Plus they change the oil and filter but when I check the meter the oil life was 60 percent which suppose to 100%. Not 60%. Now I am not sure if they change the oil or they forget to reset the oil setting. I decided not to go to them again and wast my time I took the car to another place and they fixed it. I will not recommend them.
I have often bought gas at this station, and they recently did a VA state inspection for me. I always had good experiences with them. UNTIL THIS WEEK! I needed an oil change (warning light on my dashboard) and called last week for an appointment. They gave me one for 2:00 PM yesterday. I showed up at 1:45. My name was not on their list, and they told me there were four cars ahead of me in line. They didnt seem concerned about the fact that my appointment wasnt recorded. I couldnt wait, so I left -- rather unhappily. They tried to direct me to another VT&A location, which I couldnt find with their directions. Eventually, I ended up on Franconia Road and found a very nice Shell service station that did my oil change, dealt with me very professionally (and calmed down my anger at VT&A!). It is now my intention to take my business elsewhere.
I use to bring my car here at the Springfield location for an oil change. I did not experience any problems before my last visit. At my last visit, I scheduled an appointment a few days before. My appt was scheduled for 10:30am. I dropped my car off and luckily I did not wait there for my oil change to be done. A few hours had gone by and I thought it was weird that no one had called me to let me know that the oil change was done so I called around 3pm to check on the status. The person on the phone informed me that NOTHING was done on my car yet! My car had been sitting there for 5 hours without anything being done to it. Completely unacceptable, especially coming from a company that claims to provide high quality auto care. I asked why had nothing been done to my car and the guy on the phone said there were 13 cars ahead... again I scheduled this appointment and my car had been sitting there for 5 hours just to have an oil change. There were no apologies made & it was obvious they did not care about the situation, they provided very poor customer service. So I went to pick my car up without having any service done and I decided to go across the street at Jiffy Lube. It took less than 15 minutes to be done. I am very disappointed with VA Tire & Auto of Springfield and I will NOT be returning.
Initially ok however the under shield was not replaced under my VW securely and I took the vehicle back twice but had to return a total of 5 visits for an oil change. The mileage reported on my vehicle to Carfax and the paperwork was 50k miles more than my actual miles on my car. I did not get an oil change sticker when cashed out the new girl was rude. They tried to charge me for a battery Id paid for the previous day and end up in an argument because she was not properly trained. My under shield was dragging on the ground after I left TWICE. End result they repaired it for free but expressed how it was not their fault. The manager Chris is unprofessional and down right RUDE. In front of customers he scolded employees, terminated one, told me about the bad behaviors of some of his staff and just has a overall bad for business attitude. I give a 2 star rating because they replaced the under shield for free otherwise a 1 star. I only took my car here after a welcome to the neighborhood 50% off. Ive learned my never again lesson!***I updated my review from 2 stars to 1 after receiving feedback from the business on the review as you will see pictured. The fact the business responded referencing me not being greeted speaks volumes as they did not read my complaint since it has nothing to do with being greeted.
Came in once to get a tire repaired and was pleasantly surprised that I had gotten a good deal. While I was there I had a broken brake light as well and they offered to replace it for a $12 labor fee. I refused and tried to do it myself but my particular car model makes it difficult to remove without proper tools so I come back to them next week to replace it. I brought my own bulbs and once everything was said and done I got slapped with an 80 DOLLAR LABOR FEE, AND they charged me for the bulbs despite ME BRINGING THEM. They also replaced ONE bulb and stole the other one.Deceptive business practices, outrageous fees for simple work, will straight up lie to your face and the whole time every single employee there will look at you as if youre on their last nerve and they cant understand why you want their service and to be honest, now I understand. Why WOULD I want your service?
DO NOT go there for inspection. The guy with glasses who handle the inspections will try any thing the make you fix and the charges are ridiculous!!! Like the light beams according to him itβs not approve in va and low and high beams are the same brand and conpany and side mark lights and tag lights $199.00 dollars plus inspection fee. I will never go back there!!
This is the worse place I donβt want to come back. It didnβt take until we got there for them to put ONE tire on the car. Also, they were not efficient with the amount of time they said it would take to get the job done. All workers were slow and all a terrible first experience coming here. They are so rude and I almost drove off without a cap on my tire.
Always the best service and prices in town. They didnt have a replacement in stock for my flat today, so they called around and found one at a competitor. Will definitely be returning for future services.
We have been using Va Tire &Auto for 19 years and have never been anything but happy. I will continue to use them and I highly recommend them for your auto needs. I also want to give a big thank you to Kelly, he is the State inspector but over the years he has advised me on different issues with my car, and pickup. His advice was on point and accurate and most important to me has saved me quite a bit of money! Virginia Tire & Auto and Kelly thanks and I will see yall soon.
The cover of the undercarriage was dragging under my car and was making a horrible sound as it scraped the ground when I was driving. As I was driving by VT&A, I noticed they didnt have many cars on the lift and thought maybe they could squeeze me in. When I pulled up and said what I needed, Kris (not sure for sure if that was his name but it started with a K... I think) was happy to help me. He was kind and respectful and solved my problem within a matter of minutes! I didnt have any cash for a tip (sorry!) but I did have an unused visa gift card which I happily gave him for his time and work. Thanks Kris (I hope thats your name but youll know who I am based on my story)! Ive been telling my friends and family about my experience!
Received excellent service. Went for inspection, in and out in 30 min. Great people at the counter, clean and organized enviornment
Too expensive and too long of a wait
I got my tire patched at this place 3 weeks ago. After I left the place, I checked if my wheel lock was put back in the place and it wasnt. That was only hour and half past. But my wheel lock was no where to be found. The technician said he might have left the wheel lock on the lug. So they were willing to replace with another lock and said they will call me back within a week. Two weeks past but I didnt hear anything from them. I called them up and they said they couldnt get the Lexus wheel lock and key and said they have after market one which I tried to put on the wheel but it wouldnt fit. So after all the trouble I went through, I bought regular wheel nuts. Although they reimbursed the cost, this was a bad experience over all. The only thing offered was we are sorry.
Although I think my tire could have been repaired, the suggestion to replace it was not wrong. Its better to be safe than dead (literally) wrong. Service was fast and professional. They did leave some grease on the hood, which is not a great thing to do to a customer. I dont care that much, but I think other people would. I would recommend to anyone.
Theyre great! They got my emissions test, oil change, and some other maintenance done all in a day
Very nice and helpful as always!
Waste of time, even when you call ahead. Take your business elsewhere.
I was having difficulty using the tire air pump and one of the associates, Angel, didnβt hesitate to assist me. Angel noticed that their outdoor pump was not working properly and went the extra mile by hooking up a manual pump and persisted to check/pump all of my tires! This might have been simple to him but it was huge for me as I was running late to pick up my baby girl! Thank you Angel for the exceptional customer service!
Quick and easy state/emissions testing
I bring my 15 Honda Accord here to get my safety inspection and emissions completed whenever necessary. Unfortunately, I failed my most recent inspection due to a faulty hand-brake from worn-out brake calipers, and the estimate came out to be over a grand, mostly due to the parts (unable to order calipers separately; apparently comes with both rotor and pads as a set). Its also unfortunate that I was unable to use parts from the Advance Auto across the street because VA T&A do not use parts outside of their business due to liability reasons. Also, having the vehicle diagnosed costs $125, and unfortunately none of that can be used for work done after diagnosis, which is a rather hard charge IMO. I sort of understand their reasons for these protocols, but the lack of flexibility is pretty upsetting. However, their professionalism is always appreciated, so thank you for that. Would be nice if they had some better deals, especially for people that might be struggling during this time.Edit (1:55pm): The store manager, Jim, reached out to me and explained the situation in better detail, which gave me a better understanding as to why the calipers came in a set which includes the pads and rotors, and clarified that there was miscommunication about the diagnostics and the costs associated with them. Again, the level of professionalism is always something I have appreciated with this business, and I will always consider them the next time I need work done to my vehicle.Ive increased my original rating from 3 to 4, and hope that my next visit that requires maintenance boosts it up to a 5.
Been going here for years, but after my most recent visit I dont plan on coming back. Quality has gone down, no attention to detail, lack of training, just had a horrible experience. Mechanics dont read the service requests, neither do the service reps. They tried to remedy my situation but did horribly with that as well. Take your business elsewhere.UPDATE: Its been over a month and customer service still hasnt contacted me after commenting that they would.
Overall i didnβt have a bad experience when bringing in my car . My only issue was the customer service of two staff members one i believe is a manager . Not sure if it was just me but the manger V seemed as i was a bother when speaking with him . He would answer all of my questions though. O wasnβt the friendliest either . Seemed as though he was just there to collect a check . Would answer any of my questions in a nonchalant way . I didnβt feel like an important customer . There was one staff that stuck out to me and it sucks that i donβt remember his name quiet well . But i believe it was Gabriel . As i stated before overall the shop wasnβt bad, just customer service must get better .
Great Service and Timely Appointments
Your employee stated you close at 6 PM so why when I came at 5:20 PM you were unable to take ONE tire off to check it for the cause of a slow leak? Thatβs quick and easy. If you close at 5:30 PM, then say that but donβt say you close at 6 PM. Iβve had to use the Tysons location in an emergency right before closing and they saw me just prior to closing with no issues. Disappointing and poor customer service. I was told to come back today? What?
Looks can be deceiving. This is the worst tire and auto service store i have ever went to. They are unprofessional they give you whatever price they want to give you which is not even worth it. Whats even more upsetting is that I found out after I left, they switched out one of my tire locks. I would not refer this store to anyone. Please dont waste your time.
Virginia Tire & Auto of Springfield was able to repair a tire with nail - with no waiting. Very courteous, professional, and efficient.
I always take my car to this business when I need inspections, tires, gas, anything. I trust them because they have never done or said anything to me about the car that gave me cause or made me suspicious. Today, in the midst of this confining virus I needed an inspection and tires. I am 80 and really confined to the house. The young man I spoke with went beyond his duties and, for my safety, came to my home to pick up my car and returned it to me taking all precautions recommended for my safety. Omar is a credit to Virginia Tire and Auto and I thank him and all who work there for the care they take with their customers.
Friendly and helpful staff. Quickly completed our VA safety inspection and emissions tests.
Good service. Very nice people. Honest about the situation and competitive pricing. Also the location is good because you can go to a great taco place across the street while they service your car.
Great customer service. My husband bought his car for an inspection and found that he needed to replace the shocks. Since my oldest child had a swim meet, the store dropped off my husband at home so he can take my car to take oldest child. When the time the car was supposed to be finished, Josh their driver, picked up me and my daughter from home. However, the car was not done, so Josh dropped my youngest and me at the youngest swim meet. I intended to call the garage when we were done - but they surprised me and drove my husbands car to the meet location so we were not stranded. That was awesome and we greatly appreciated their thoughtfulness. Count us be loyal customers!
I came to my appointment at 9 oclock as I was told, they could not find me in their computer. I did ask them last time I was there in August 2019 for an oil change they left my car very dirty with grease that I had to remove myself.I told them to be very careful to please clean after they did my safety inspection and oil change to day. They left hand prints with greasee in 3 areas my arm rest under my star and stop engine button and the door opening arm rest. I told the young man that it was not cleaned and he argue with me telling me that this was previous dirt. My car is tan in the inside. I know because I usually clean it on a weekly basis. He was rude and not accommodating to my need. I left there. Last year in August when I changed the oil they told me I needed a new engine filter. I was a little low in money so I told them I will get that done in the future. Today I asked them to change the engine filter but to show it to me 1st. They just made up something last year for me to spend more money. A had as much dirt on it today as less 25%. I didnt need replacing this time either. I do not recommend this place. Theyre also as expensive as my dealership.Onces I placed this revew they asked for me to contact them so I did, a week later have not received a response from them.
Some good guys there.
Great work. Good service. I wish they offered full automotive repair services.
Great service
DO NOT GO! Go somewhere else! Been going to VA Tire & Auto the last 5 years and it seems the last year with their expansions that its gone horribly down hill. They will not mount any tires that are customer supplied now forcing you to buy tires they donβt have in stock therefore canβt price match. Iβve supplied my own tires the last 5 years no problems there. They also quoted me a $150 vehicle speed sensor when it shouldβve been $20 for a ABS wheel speed sensor. I knew immediately when I saw the part on the quote that they donβt know what they are doing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Go somewhere where they will perform any service you request! Thatβs the exceptional customer service way!
I woke up to a nail in one of my tires and it was slowly losing air. I had a busy schedule and stopped by to see if they could repair it. I was in and out of there in less than an hour. The folks were so friendly I wouldnt hesitate to return.
Called ahead and there was one in line. Pulled up and waited in the nice clean lobby with some amenities. Inspection went pretty fast actually. Only things that I say needed work were the cashier was busy counting cash on the desk behind her and a long line formed waiting to pay for gas and she was unaware for a long time. Also, the mechanics were trying to convince me to pay for an emissions inspection because they said I was due, but my registration renewal clearly said I didnβt.
This place lacks professionalism. The front desk guy said he would call when my car was ready. It got close to closing time and no call, so I went to check and they were closed. The front desk guy said he called me, but since I was waiting for the call I know he didnt call. He probably forgot to call and just decided to make up some bs story about calling when he should have just admitted that he forgot and offered an apology. He had a dgaf attitude. Needless to say Ill never get service at this place again and would advise anyone I know to not get their car work done there.
I took my dads car there for an oil change and they messed up my glove compartment and they said that it was already like that and it wasnt
The staff here is so wonderful and always professional and helpful. They have been able to help me with all of my issues from oil changes to tire changes to other work that needed to be done.
Victor (the front desk man) has amazing people skills and is very very friendly, personable, and helpful. I have never had a problem with the service given by this auto care place. Thank you VA tire & auto in Springfield!
Joshua the new service manager was great. He took quick care of my sister vehicle and we left feeling great knowing that the necessary checks were made. We will recommend to our friends and family.
We were very satisfied with the work and service done on our truck. One shop quoted us $900.00 for a replacement part and this shop quoted us $81.00. We will be returning again when the need arises.
Quick service. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can see what theyre doing to your car while in the waiting room. Clean facility. Would recommend
Not sure why there are so many negative reviews here. We have been using them for over 13 years and 99% of the time absolutely no issues. When there has been an issue, it was immediately addressed and resolved. Just this AM had exceptional service with both Omar and first gentleman who called me (and I already forgot name but he called me very early to confirm that my car could be ready early so I could get to work on time). Not today, but in the past, they have driven me to work, picked me up once, they are very first rate. Everyone has bad days so perhaps the bad reviews are a result of combined factors but I would, and will, continue to use them for my auto services.
Very professional, knowledgeable and accommodating. I worked with a few people from here and all were great but the manager Chris was incredible! He really helped us out and explained things in a way for me to understand. The labor rate was extremely fair or cheap for that geographic location. You can trust them! I will bring all my vehicles here
The service was great and quick
Excellent, while they could not help me with my tire issue they took the time to contact a different tire shop that could. For that they get 5 stars.
I only take my car here for repairs.Β The customer service is excellent: theyre polite, respectful, and efficient on the phone and in person. The work was done quickly and effectively.I took my car to the dealership and had several hundred dollars of work recommended. I took it to VA Tire & Auto and they confirmed what I suspected: the dealership was trying to cheat me...as per usual. They have a play area for kids and snacks and beverages for adults in the waiting area which is clean and well stocked. They also have a free shuttle to take you home and pick you up if you live in the area.If you live in Springfield, bring your car here.
Ive been here before and have always had great service, both for my own car and for other family members cars. But Im honestly disgusted by this new business practice of theirs. Last year after my safety inspection they let me know one of my lights were out, after which I bought a bulb for a few dollars nearby and did it myself. This time, the man I checked out with (nice guy) casually glossed over the fact that my inspection was done but that they had replaced a burned out tail light so that I could pass. Whats the problem you might ask? NO ONE ASKED ME. NO ONE ASKED FOR MY CONSENT. When I asked him why that wasnt the case and that werent they supposed to ask before moving forward with anything, he agreed that they shouldve and the only solution he gave was ripping the front sticker off and putting a rejected sticker/removing the bulk. Of course I declined, I was already in a rush and the one hour I was promised was already near the 1.5 mark. Instead of 20, I paid 42. 20ish for ONE TAIL LIGHT when I could do it myself for less than 1/4th. While finances were not a problem, whos to say that for the next person they wouldnt be. I swear I will never be back to this place and already told my family to not return. 20 extra this time, who knows how much more next time. If ANY place renders services (auto or not) without your consent thats illegal.
I would prefer to write a good review. Im sure they do excellent service - when they actually decide to do it.So heres my story. I tried to schedule an emissions test there for my car. But the web site says they dont take appointments for those, you just come in. OK, so I come in during their operating hours. Then the guy at the counter tells me their technician had a personal emergency and had to go home early, he will be back tomorrow. Thats annoying, because I left work early to get this done, but I understand, emergencies happen. So then I come in again, this time on Saturday around 1230. They tell me the technician has finished for the day!! (keep in mind they are open until 6pm). It feels like they really dont want to do emissions tests. I ended up going to Midas instead and they took me right away. Also, nowhere to park. Both times I was there, there were only like 1-2 customers in the waiting room, yet every single parking space there was full. The lot next to theirs was full both times too.
The automatic air filler for tires is WONDERFUL! Easy to use for the mechanicalky shielded. Thank you for having this at the Shell gas station. Headache saver!
Excellent service!
My experience was disappointing. Worked with Omar in the morning around 9:30 and was told that the new tire would have to be ordered and would be ready for pick up by 1:30. I mentioned to Omar that I had other things to do and I will be back around 4:30. I arrived at 5:45 due to work and when I arrived, the old tire was still on the rim. I also paid in advance the total amount this morning. The guy that attended me this evening did apologize and handled it very quickly. I could not wait very long due to time needed to pick up my boys from daycare. Like I said, the experience was disappointing. Thank you to the person who helped me this evening.
This was my first visit to VA Tire&Auto; but as they say you never get a second chance to make a great first impression. I made an early weekday appointment so I came extra early to beat traffic (replace tires and refill with nitrogen). At the opening of the store I was greeted by the manager at the counter who informed me that I would have to leave the car all day because there was no availability (red flag). After further discussion, I clarified my appointment and sat in the lobby for my car. About 1 1/2 hours later the technician informed me that the nitrogen machine was broken and they would fill the tires with air instead (yellow flag). Wasnt particularly happy with that (since that was the only reason I came here) but no problem. Finally the manager rings me up but totals dont match the parts/service provided (red flag!). I thought there was a mistake because he gave me a new statement with all new charges for parts and labor. I asked why the new bill and he stated it was standard to re-write the work order. But these figures dont match the total amount Im being charged. He attempts to walk me through the charges (without looking at the statement he handed me) unsuccessfully. I have since escalated the matter to higher management.
These guys always have my back with repairs, enough that Im willing to take the extra tine to drive there rather than somewhere closer.
Im extremely annoyed with this place, and I highly discourage others from using this place. The first time I took my car here. I called to get a quote for a new headlight. The guy told me it would likely be one price, but when I get there Im told the cheaper light couldnt be used because of my type of car. So, I went with the more expensive light. Unfortunately, when I left they put the mileage in the system wrong, so when I pulled my CarFax info, it showed I had an extra 50,000 miles on my car. This would cause major issues when I went to sell my car because it would have come across as me changing it on the car and doing something that didnt happen. Luckily, I caught it, and I had to go back in to have them fix it in the system. However, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went back on another occasion. I scheduled an appointment online for an oil change and for them to check my engine light. When I dropped it off this morning, I reiterated that I needed the engine light checked. However, when they called me a few hours later for me to pick my car up, they didnt check what was wrong with the engine light. They stated it wasnt indicated that this needed to be checked in the system. In order for them to do it, I have to make another appointment because they are all booked up for the day. Despite me making the appointment specifically for this issue. Then I get another call 10 minutes later stating theyll squeeze me in to run a diagnostic test to see whats going on...for another $125. However, this does not include the cost of what it will take to fix the issue, which Im sure theyll find an issue that will cost more money. Once I get my car back, I will not be going here again. Both times that Ive gone here, Ive had to pay way more than what either quoted or discussed. I understand a difference of $10-$20, but now Im paying almost double of the original quote. This is ridiculous and bad business.
Great service!!! Kris the mechanic went out of his way to explain things to me and didnβt try to sell me unneeded services. You guys have earned yourself a new loyal customer.
Exelent
Do not take your car here unless you want the mechanics to take it for a joyride and total it. I had brought my Miata here with a potential buyer so they could get an inspection before purchasing the vehicle. Long story short, the person that took it for a test drive drove it into a guardrail and claimed the car spun out. I didnt give them a hard time as they assured me they would get me at least what I was selling the car for. Their insurance took good care of me, they however had no sort of follow up. I gave them a chance and time to contact me but they didnt. Their insurance gave me a bit more than the car was worth after I told them what happened. All in all it took 3 extra weeks to get my compensation from the insurance and the buyer was out of a car that we were ready to sell that day. I would give 0 stars if I could but I guess getting 1 star is fair because of their insurance. If you have a car you care about avoid this place at all costs.
Go somewhere else! Location is convenient to our home but the service is poor. No one calls to follow-up to tell you that your car is ready. Poor communication. Do not recommend>
The waiting room is super nice and they even had my car done EARLY
Everyone was extremely helpful and accommdating. We were traveling and had tire issues. They helped us right away! Super friendly.
Came in for an inspection only to find that the neglected brakes failed. There were many people in and out for $16, which made me feel they were straightforward and honest. When they identified problems they gave me estimates and kept to them. They also provided excellent estimates of how much time would be needed. Overall a very positive experience and Ill be returning.
There is an accountability issue at this store.I brought my car here for a safety inspection on Feb. 15, 2019. It was recommended that I replace the rear passenger tire and have my tires rotated, so I took their suggestion purchased a replacement tire and had my tires rotated. I purchased the more expensive tire of the two options that were presented to me (Goodyear), as well as the warranty for the tire. Less than two weeks later (Feb. 28), I noticed the tire pressure light was on. I checked the air pressure on ALL FOUR tires, and the two tires on the driver side were extremely low (8 and 10 PSI), but the new tire they replaced was fully inflated. This seemed odd, as I hadnt experienced extreme air loss in these tires at all. Three days later (March 3), the tire that was replaced on Feb. 15 blew out while I was driving on I-66, and was COMPLETELY detached from the rim. When I took the tire off to put on the donut, the tire was in TWO pieces. I took it back to Virginia Tire and Auto of Springfield where I had the tire replaced just over two weeks prior. The desk attendant informed me that because I had purchased the warranty, the tire and labor would be covered but Id have to pay $16 for the warranty to be reinstated. Immediately I knew the remainder of this interaction would be a blame-game on their end. The attendant looked at the old tire that had fallen off the rim and suggested that it was caused by driving on an under inflated tire. This didnt make any sense because I checked the pressure in all four tires 3 days prior, and the brand new tire that blew out was at a full 32 PSI. When I informed him of this and produced the bank account activity from the air machine (the tire pressure machine was CC only so was luckily able to produce a receipt), he then suggested that there was something in the wheel well that had been rubbing against the tire for a long time and it needed to be repaired. This explanation was garbage as well, given the tire had only been on the vehicle for 2 weeks, and I drove on the tire that was on the vehicle before for years without having any sort of issue. When I asked him to point out where the tire was rubbing in the wheel well, he was unable to definitely point anything out. Also there was no clearance issue after the (second) new tire was installed. The peculiar issue I had with the two tires on the OPPOSITE side of the car than the one that was replaced, in combination with a brand new tire blowing after 15 days, leads common sense thinking to conclude the service I received from this shop on Feb. 15 initiated the series of problems I experienced shortly after. There was clearly an issue with the installation of a new tire and tire rotation, or the new tire was defective. Prior to this work, I had not experienced any issues with my tires/tire pressure. The desk attendant continued to attempt to produce possible causes for these issues, all of which were debunked given the history of the service and problems. Once he was out of speculations, he basically had no further explanation and still expected $16 for warranty to be reinstated. I asked to speak to the shop manager, who he claimed was off that day. I was confused by that statement, because I heard another gentleman introduce himself to a customer at the service manager. He said the service manager would be reaching out to me in regards to the issue on the following Monday, but I was never contacted. Had the shop taken responsibility for the issue and reinstated the warranty without asking me to pay $16 rather than try to blame the tire popping on under inflation or rubbing in the wheel well, I would have remained a customer of this store, however there is absolutely no way I will be taking any vehicle for service here again.
Usually get me in and out pretty quick. They make solid recommendations whenever a repair is needed. And they take the Firestone CFNA card.
From the moment I called VA Tire and Auto of Springfield, we had an excellent experience. The tire expert we spoke with (Ben) went out of his way to gather quotes and ensure we were getting the best deal possible. Once our tires were ordered and work began, the employees in the store were great. We couldnt have asked for a better experience.
It was excellent. The price was low with their coupon. The service was fast. I was in and out in 45 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation. I also asked them to look at the control arms, since another shop had said they needed work. They said they were fine, even thought I offered for them to do the work, if needed. The waiting area was nice, and the free coffee and tea is a nice touch. I will be coming back.
I thought I would get similar service at the Springfield VA Tire and Auto in comparison to my normal location in South Riding. The service in SPRINGFIELD is terrible and fraudulent.I dropped my car off at 8AM for a oil change and tire rotation. There was only one person waiting for service at the time. I specifically asked the service provider at the desk to have the tech look to see if the brake fluid would need to be replaced. My normal VA Tire and Auto recommended I have the brake fluid replaced since it was dirty with my last visit. I requested them to call me if they recommended replacing it.I left the store without hearing an update two hours later. I called the store to check on my car at 10 AM. The person I spoke with on the phone proceeded to give me the run around and told me it would take two more hours (for an oil change and tire rotation). They also made no note of the request about checking the brake fluid and had no idea what I was talking about. Finally, I called back at 12 to check on the status of the car. I was then updated that my car was finished (Never had to call at my normal VA Tire and Auto Location). The person I spoke with on the phone then told me my CV boot was torn and provided me a quote for over $400 to get it fixed. He claimed this was normal wear and tear. However, I get regular service on my car and always informed my car was in great shape prior. But now all of a sudden when I go to a new location something is is wrong and requires expensive maintenance. On the 25 point inspection form, they said the brake fluid was fine. But my normal location said it was dirty. Why this inconsistency? In conclusion, do not go to SPRINGFIELD location for the following reasons:1. Complete disregard for customers time2.Does not listen to direction and rude to customers3. FRAUDULENT SERVICEIm planning on talking with the corporate office on Monday morning. For the record, I am okay with the franchise, but this location has very poor operations.
I donβt understand the negative reviews the staff here is great. Iβd like to put the spotlight on an exceptional employee named Joshua. I believe he was clocked out on break but he helped me add air to my tire then pointed out my emission was passed due. I was late for an appointment and with the flat tire I was having a bad day. Joshua took me to my appointment with his own person vehicle and picked me up afterward. I have already instructed my children and family to bring vehicle here for service. This is the type of business that recognizes the consumer and goes above and beyond. Please recognize Josh for his consideration, attitude, willingness and overall demeanor he showed me.
Customer service was great but I only had two issues. One my receipt it says that I declined nitrogen air. I was not asked and if I was I would have preferred the nitrogen air in my tires. Two I had two tires replaced and they supposed to put the better tires on the front and they did not because i still have the one tire in the front with the bubble in the tire so this means they on changed the two back tires and did not check the front tires.
Wonderful atmosphere, clean waiting area, quick service and right prices is what makes this place great. I had my tires balanced. They did a great job, they informed me of damage on one of the wheels, which I was aware of. I will definitely be returning to this shop in the future.
Although price was very high... Service Mngr. Jeff become reasonable and friendly after half hour of prodding on the price to make it more practical and feasible based on actual performance time.Their work is 100% reliable. Excellent mechanics. Jeff also has Top notch management and hospitality skills. But your bill will be massively inflated.
The staff at this location is key to its success. I had an issue one time with a tire rotation where they feared they would break the lug nut on my car. They asked me if they should continue before proceeding and just breaking it off. I appreciate the honesty and transparency that they provide. I will continue going back to routine car maintenance on both of my cars.
Good customer service
Very impressive. I had my state inspection completed in a timely manner on a Sunday. Five stars
Terrible service, with a smile. VA Tire & Auto tried to make my issues right (and even fixed some of them), but the overall experience was such that I will never go back.I took my car in for a lot of stuff, and VA Tire did something wrong on almost all of it.- Emissions inspection. They charged me, but I didnt find out their machine was down until I tried to renew my registration and couldnt. They said theyd give me a refund and didnt.- Oil change. They didnt put any oil in the car. After noticing the car ran rough, I checked the dipstick and it was dry as a bone. They towed the car to the shop to fix this.- Alignment. The car drifted to the right after their alignment. They fixed this also. What should have been a day or two in the shop turned into a major hassle and waste of my time. They were really nice about it, but in the end I came out the loser... and I still never got the refund for the emissions inspection.
Donβt just walk away from this place, RUN!!! This place is a caricature of sleazy business practices towards women. They started off with $1000 for my daughters thermostat. When confronted they dropped the price, but then tried to charge $150 to change the antifreeze which they said was mandatory. I went there myself and confronted them in person asking why they would charge $1000 for a $23 part. They stumbled all over themselves and dropped the price to $300, Which is still excessive. In this day and age, and in this area, I didnβt think gender bias would be so prevalent!
Really nice and informed staff. They dont bury you in mechanicese and explain everything clearly. Came in for an oil change, tire rotation, and safety inspection and left within an hour and a half. **Never feel like they are trying to upsell me** which is a welcome change from the dealership.
Iβm not sure if VA Tire changed ownership or management, but Iβve experienced some noticeable changes with their customer service in the last year - the latest incident has led me to stop taking my vehicles here.I started going to the Centreville location about 15 years ago, and the service there was top-notch. When we moved to Springfield a few years ago, naturally I continued being a loyal customer to their Springfield location. At first the service was the same quality as I had experienced in Centreville. In the past year however, I noticed subtle changes. For example, I found they often wouldnβt call you to give you updates on your car, instead youβd have to call them. And when you called them, the person who answered often wouldnβt be able to tell you anything. Heβd say heβd have to get a service manager to talk to you, but that might take a while, so youβd have to call back again.About a month ago, I ran over a nail, so I took my car in to get the tire patched. They fixed the tire, but they put the tire on backwards with the whitewall facing out, even though all the other tires have them facing inwards. They also left off the valve cap. So I found myself heading home with one tire different than the others and I have to buy a valve cap. Not a big deal, but just a sign that something had changed and they werenβt really trying to provide the excellent service I was used to.This past weekend was the last straw. I took my car in for a couple minor maintenance items and a state inspection. They took care of the maintenance, but failed the state inspection. Again, I had problems getting a hold of anyone on the phone that could explain to me what the problem was. Finally, someone on the phone told me that I had a missing exhaust hangar. I asked them if they could fix it and put a new one on, and they said that no they didnβt have a welder. (I found this a bit strange since almost any decent shop can do minor welds.) Instead, they wanted me to get a new exhaust and muffler and they gave me a quote of about $450 ($250 parts plus 2 hours labor). I was speechless. I told them no, and came down to get the car with the failed inspection sticker (which cost me $20 by the way). When I got home, I took a look at it myself and couldnβt even figure out why it failed. The exhaust was not loose at all. I ended up taking the car to another shop, and they said the same thing β they didnβt understand why it failed. The other shop welded it for me for $100. Iβm pretty convinced VA Tire was trying to scam me out of a major repair that I didnβt need.TL;DR Something has changed with the Springfield location (if not the whole company) and after almost 20 years, our family is no longer going to take our cars there.
Great service! Even small quick issues, they help out immediatley at a great price. The manager is very helpful as well.
Super great guys at Virginia Tire & Auto. Had the best deals on the new Michelin Pilot 3s I got for my car. Were very knowledgeable and prompt. Appreciate them taking the time to answer questions when most other places just try to churn customers out.
Clean, quick, and friendly.
Great service. They are friendly and helpful, you can call ahead for an estimated wait time. They have coffee, water and comfortable chairs. Highly recommend.
Although my customer service provider was very courteous I unfortunately will not be returning to Virginia Tire & Auto. I had a flat tire replaced and an alignment done. Then they told me my other tire were bald and also needed replacing. My tires are clearly not bald, but just to be sure I had my Jiffy Lube specialist check them. He said my tires are perfectly fine. Since my visit there my card has been riding rough. I will have to take it to my mechanic to see if the alignment was done incorrectly. The care wobbles and feels just wrong now. Customer Beware.
Cold front coming, decide to put the snows on the BMW X4 this morning while its still decent weather. I get the drivers rear and my Snap-On impact gun cant blow the lugs off. I have a powerful impact gun, it does that with ease. Whats going on? Then I remember I had a flat repair on that wheel from Virginia Tire and Auto and whomever did the work must have run it on with a serious impact gun. No problem, Ill get my Snap-On 36 1/2 breaker bar - it can handle it.Not.Holy-Moley, they are really on there. I cant budge them. Now Im not happy, to put a 17mm head lug on there so tight that a 3 breaker bar cant budge them means they ran them home with something like a 3/4 Truck Service Impact gun, and they are probably on at around 200 or more ft lb.I get a pipe and put on the end. Still cant move them. !!! !!! Now we have a problem, because I am either going to shear the lug or break the pivot of the tool head. I stand on the pipe which is on the breaker bar and bounce my serious weight on it, waiting for something to give it up. Turns out the lugs decide to finally turn and spin off,.Too-tight lugs not only stretch the bolts beyond their rated capacity, but can also warp brake rotors when not properly torqued. Your staff knows that, but they dont care, obviously.HEY VIRGINIA TIRE....how about instead of paying Redskins Quarterback Kirk Cousins however many millions a year you pay him, put that money into some training and impact gun torque sticks? I will never return to your store, not when you do work like this..
Good
Great service!
Yesterday I had a assisted living shuttle bus have an emergency on I-95 when our tail pipe started dragging. We slowly drove into VA Tire and Auto of Springfields parking lot, explained our situation, and were promptly helped by the General Manager, Larry Nagi, and a service technician, Marvin. They were able to quickly help us get back on the road and it was all as a courtesy. It was a simple act of kindness that we often dont see today. I will personally be bringing my own vehicles for tire and auto repair to VA Tire and Auto in the future! I was very impressed by their professionalism, kindness, and the organization and cleanliness of their lobby.
I left a review here but seem to disappeared. Anyway, I have taken my car and Jeep there at least 2-3 times. Mostly for state inspections. I have taken my Jeep there to fix a tire that already came with my Jeep (TPS broke off). One day my wifeβs wheel busted from a pot hole so I did the most reasonable thing, found the best place and price to buy a tire and wheel online. Brought the tire to Virginia Tire and auto because they fixed a previous tire issue on my Jeep. When I brought my wifeβs new tire and wheel all of the sudden they no long provide service for tires you do not buy from them. Since then, I have not been back. Took the wheel and tire to Liberty Station down the way and had my car up and running in 10 minutes. Lost of revenue and customer for something so easily that could have been done in minutes but to worry about not spending my money on their tires.
I had taken my car there after getting a nail stuck in the tire. After looking at my vehicle, the guy told me that he couldnt repair it and that they dont sell used tires. He then proceeded to tell me that my other two tires needed to be replaced. I dont know if this guy was hoping that I buy a brand new set of tires, but I immediately left and took my vehicle to a local tire repair shop. In the end, I wound up paying only $20 to have my tire patched up and repaired. Lesson Learned: I will never take my vehicle to Virginia Tire & Auto.
I really like Virginia Tire & Auto as a regular mechanic. They are good at explaining problems, customer service is generally good, although it depends on the person sometimes. Some receptionists are a little less knowledgeable and will call the mechanic to explain something. Ive also bought tires from them but I dont know how they compare to other tire retailers.
