He made me feel as if my vehicle was his very own. I had to get the transmission rebuilt in my 2011 Silverado, and while Donnie had my vehicle he also found another issue that needed to be corrected. I liked how they were able to drop me off at home after leaving my car. What I have an issue with is they quoted me a charge of over $1800 to fix my a/c because it wasnt blowing cold. They said I needed a new compressor. I took it to someone else and they charged me $60 because he fixed my problem by cleaning the electrical plug that was connected to the cylinoid valve and my a/c was blowing cold again. He didnt need to replace anything. I have a 2013 Nissan Altima and the guy that actually fixed my a/c said he did research on my car and many people say that one part has cause this issue many times. It was a common issue. To know that this company was going to charge me almost $2000 for a simple fix makes me sick. I know its hot in Houston but that does not mean to take advantage of people when they are going through it. I will NEVER go back here. Talking about the reason it cost so much is because they are professionals and can guarantee quality behind their work. WELL WHAT ABOUT INTEGRITY! This makes me sad and I wanted to warn anyone that is looking for help. They are for themselves and not for you. If you as a company want to do right by the wrong that has been done on yalls behalf, you can start with giving me a full refund for the diagnostic service I paid for because the diagnostics was WRONG.

If you have been looking for a trustworthy, professional, caring auto shop that delivers what they promise and good value...look no further! From the moment I arrived, Hugo the owner, offered me a beverage and took the time to do a diagnostic and explain to me what the codes meant, which ones needed immediate attention, and which ones could wait. I’m a teacher and did my homework by reading the reviews for many shops and decided I could not pass this place up based on so many outstanding reviews. I brought my car in because my transmission had been acting up and I knew something had to be done and quick. After the initial diagnosis, they needed to open her up to see what was really going on. Well, needless to say, the transmission either needed to get rebuilt or another unit needed to be purchased. I chose to replace because they found me a used transmission at a reputable business with very low miles that they could install and was very cost effective with a 6 month warranty or $6000 miles! After settling on a price which included a teacher discount and explaining to them that this was all I could afford to get done right now, they promptly got to work and it was done reasonably quickly so that I could pick it up the next day which was a Saturday. As they were working, Hugo discovered a big leak in my oil pan that needed to be replaced and noticed my coolant was low because my thermostat housing was cracked. I could not be without a vehicle because I had many students counting on me to be at work, so the owner loaned me his own personal truck! I was so thankful and blown away by his generosity. But that’s not all...when I came back to pick up my vehicle, he covered the cost of the oil pan, did a complimentary oil change, topped off all my fluids, and only charged me a small fee for the thermostat housing...no labor charges! In fact, he took off one hour of labor from the transmission work so that the cost he quoted me would be about the same even with the thermostat housing being replaced. It’s obvious he values his customers and even had my car washed and detailed when I came to pick it up! I cannot say enough about this place. I am truly blown away by the kindness and understanding and attention to detail that Hugo and his staff showed me. This will be the only shop I will trust with my car from now on because they have truly earned my trust and respect! I first went to Best Price Transmission back in 2018 shortly after moving to the Houston area from Louisiana. I had a trash 2003 Ford Escape and needed the brake pads done. Fast forward two years, and I’m the proud owner of a 2011 Toyota RAV4. I’ve basically had it for as long as I’ve been out here, and despite its high mileage, I want to keep it for as long as possible.I returned to Best Price late October 2020 because my transmission was finally starting to go out. José kept me up to date with every step of the process, also letting me know that my rear brake pads needed to be replaced. They held my truck due to a computer that had to be ordered, and after nearly two weeks, my silver bullet was just as fast as it used to be.To clarify, they rebuilt my transmission and did my brakes plus warranty for $200 LESS than the initial estimate. I brought my truck back on November 10, 2020 for a complimentary two-week checkup, and everything worked just fine.One thing I’ve always known is that Hugo (the owner) and his team keep a loyal clientele. Basically they know everybody, much like my barber, who’s ranked as one of the best in the Houston area. Plus it’s really hard to find a good mechanic because just like how you can’t trust everyone to cut your hair, you can’t trust everyone to adequately repair your vehicle.Anyone who keeps a loyal following like that is definitely worth the time, so I’m glad to leave this review and to continue doing business with them.

My transmission started acting up several weeks ago. Luckily one of my fellow CG campers (Hugo) wore his Best Transmission shirt to one of our workouts and a couple of us bombarded him after the workout to ask him about his shop. He even got in my car after our workout and accompanied me for a quick drive to get a feel for the problem. I dropped off the car to the shop a couple days later. Unfortunately, I needed a new transmission but Donnie would call me with updates on my vehicle. I was given a two year warranty on parts and labor. Great service!

I told them my problem (A/C blows hot air and the temperature light comes on when idling for more than a few minutes) and they were able to get me in immediately. Definitely not the “best price” I dropped my vehicle off with the lady and told her everything I needed. I’m not sure what happened because I saw her writing stuff down as I was telling her. I get a call later saying “what I wanted done” and I have to repeat myself again? I delayed some maintenance items due to high quote. The next day I get a call asking if I can bring the wheel lock, when the wheel lock has been on the dash the whole time ? Apparently this place has ‘complimentary’ wash, however my car smelled like cheap cologne for a month. And I could tell that someone went through my car being nosey. After I get home, I check the receipt and the prices for parts is double what I could get them for - “best price?” And I didn’t even get my inspection report! I had to drive back again and ask them for it, didn’t even apologize for wasting my time

I have to say this shop is way to expensive for any type of transmission work I have a 4L60E transmission and they were charging me $2000-$4000 with 1-3 year warranty. Honestly I could buy another vehicle with that money they also have their shop outside and i left my truck here for 2-3 days and a lot of my stuff that were in my transmission that they tore out ended up getting water on it and started to rust. I would not recommend coming here they are nice people but they charge way to much for their work if you need any type of transmission work go else where not here.

I came with a problem of my car making noises when I started from a start. The problem was found correctly, new motor mounts. Hugo was very helpful and they did the work in a very timely manner. It is like night and day how my car is running now.

Best Price Transmissions & Auto Care is one of the greatest auto care shops i ever known. I first found Best Price Transmissions & Auto Care Shop when i had a transmission problem with my wifes vehicle her transmission was shifting really bad, so after i stopped at all these other transmission places along Canino rd. they had all told me that i needed a new transmission or a rebuilt one, so my next stop was Best Price Transmissions so after i was greeted with such pleasant workers and management the mechanic first test drove it an said our next step is to diagnose to see whats happening an found out it was a sensor an not that i needed a new transmission like these other business said which were false now i know and after one business day my wifes truck was on the road again running like champ. Also i have my own personal truck that was having transmission issues so after how i seen how they worked with our first vehicle with such Great service and a reasonable price i knew at this point the only place i am taking it is to Best Price Transmissions. However now i am happy to say i have found my new Auto Care Shop an will recommend to all my family an friends.
