Overall we had a really good night in the bar area with a group of 13 of us celebrating 2 birthdays 🥳 18th & 60th so there was a good mix of age range, we drank lots of cocktails @ nearly £10 a drink during the 5 hours we were there. We asked the bar staff if we could order some side orders to the large table we were sitting at in the bar, to be told in an extremely RUDE manner by a young female working behind the bar that ‘YOU CANNOT EAT FOOD IN THE BAR’. There was no suggestion from her to sit at a table in the restaurant to eat so presumed it’s was fully booked for the evening. I then asked if any of the other pubs in the village would serve bar meals that we could pop out then return to Impeccable Pig for more drinks, to be told by ANOTHER female working behind the bar, again in a very ABRUPT & RUDE manner “Oh you won’t get any food in the village on a Saturday night you have to make reservations in the restaurants!, then looked at us as if weren’t good enough to be in there! I have never been spoken to or made to feel so belittled by bar staff in such a RUDE, ABRUPT & DEROGATORY manner ever in my life! I asked the girl on the restaurant desk if a couple of our group could have a table in the restaurant & she was keen to help & seated them straight away! It’s a shame the other females couldn’t make this suggestion as an option for us to eat in the first place!!! I must say there was a male called Micheal working behind the bar who was professional, courteous & smiled (which the females never done) when he was serving lots of customers in the busy bar area! Well done Micheal, a true professional who is clearly made for the job! Such a shame that because of 2 unprofessional females working behind the bar I now have this view of the venue! I also overheard a customer talking about the head on his pint & was told ‘DON’T YOU TRY TO TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB!’ Rude, unprofessional & will sadly lose custom because of this.

Had a fantastic meal here at the weekend to celebrate my partners birthday, the place was busy and buzzing. The food and services were amazing. Little bit pricey but worth it. Definitely need to book in advance but will go back at some point.

Never been before but will be going back again,pretty soon hopefully. Looks very inviting from the outside, but once inside it got better. Met by very helpful staff, had to wit for the table to be cleaned,which was hood house keeping. Well stock bar and a good choice of food menu, staff very helpful and polite. Food was excellent and not over priced. Good selection of wine and again not over priced.Well worth a visit whether it a celebration or just a night out.

Drove 350 miles to eat here......ok not exactly, had to work to do too.Fantastic meal, really nice pub and restaurant. The food was some of the best I have eaten in a long time.Thanks to the friendly staff and chefs for a top class meal.

Great place, good food. A bit noisy when its busy as the sound echoes but overall a really nice experience. Small menu done very well is much better than places which try to be all things to all men We will be back. 👍

After celebrating a special birthday here… thoroughly disappointed and disgusted. Told to be quiet after one lady complained, after singing happy birthday.. treat badly by staff, told there was no wine as it was limited, food mediocre .. and after emailing the manager was told the matter is now closed. I’ve stayed many times here but never again.

Went here for my daughters 18th, place and decor is fantastic. Food was very good, little pricey, but very good. Heres the bad part service not brilliant. We had a party of 9 which we were given 9pm sit down time. Ordered food and had main meal then was told to order deserts in 5 minutes as kitchen was closing and not even cleared plates away. Not brilliant when Im paying over £350 for meals. Inexperienced waitress but did her best, told her to pass complaint on to her manager which she told me she did. Manger totally ignored us. No thankyou as we left and shut and locked front door behind us as we left. Understand everyone wants to go home but why take our booking if we were late . We left at 10 .45 hardly a stoppy back. Will definitely not be returning

Came for dinner on a Saturday night and was sorely disappointed after having the place come highly recommended. Shared a white crab starter which was nice however the portion sizes are horribly disproportionate to the price you pay. Ordered the Chateaubriand sharing board for main. Asked for medium-rare and what we were served was well on it’s way to being well done. Pointed out to the waitress the meat was overdone and she had the cheek to try and argue with us. Sent main back and asked for rare this time which then came out medium-rare. Not so much as a complimentary drink or even an apology. Veg was barely cooked. Fries were nothing more than oven chips done in a fryer. Portion size for a sharing board was ridiculous and could easily have been a meal for one. Majority of staff were rude and unprofessional. Considering the price I expected a great deal more from the food and the service was categorically appalling. Will not be returning and would not recommend - very poor all round.

We had a meal a few weeks ago.I ordered pizza, it was lovely but after a slice, I noticed the base was all burnt. They did offer a replacement or refund.Everybody else said they really enjoyed the meal.Would visit again

Stayed for Stayed for 1 night in a hot tub room. Gorgeous rooms with privacy if you want to use the hot tub. Meals were delicious and had vegetarian and gluten free options. Lovely breakfasts. Friendly staff and private parking if you are staying the night.

I was wanting to go here for a long time but I think my expectations got the better of me. My wife and I went on the 24th July 21 for are wedding anniversary. The building has been fitted out very well indeed and the staff are friendly and helpful, overall there is a nice atmosphere. Now for the reason for the poor rating. The food did not live up to expectations.my wife had a fish cake which was well over cooked and should not have been presented to a customer. I had a steak medium rare, it was under cooked, chewy and bland. Very disappointed. After our meal we moved to the bar area with the intention of spending the rest of the evening with some drinks. For a pint of beer and a glass of white wine £11.90, we called a taxi and went to a place in Norton and paid £6.50. I understand places need to make money to upkeep places like this and some would like to attract a certain clientele but the drink prices just lost it for me. Conclusion food no where near good enough and drinks expensive.

Dined there twice good ambience and decor, staff great but service left something to be desired.On the first occasion food delicious but very small portions (especially for 5he price) then ordered liquiur coffees and deserts, received the coffees but no desert. The desert showed up on the bill and had to be questioned. Second time, portions very small for the price and everything was extra. One person asked for some garlic butter rather than the romesco sauce offered with her plate. They deleted the sauce and charged extra for the garlic butter but didnt offer anything off for the sauce they deleted.All in all, I dont think I would dine here again in the future.

We have stayed & eaten at The Impeccable pig for a number of years, the service & food is always of very high standard. On our latest visit my meal wasn’t as good as it usually was, however, how the way the staff dealt with our feedback was fantastic, they really do go above & beyond. We would still go back tomorrow as their customer service & premises are exceptional. Definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful building and restaurant very impressiive - living up to our expectations on our first visit.However, very disappointed with the service from inexperienced staff which was obvious from our first order of drinks. The waitress had no idea of which ciders and gins were available? First impressions not good and this poor service continued throughout the meal and when ordering steaks were not even asked how we would like them cooked?? Slow on bringing the two bottles of wine we had ordered even though there were empty glasses sat on the table and only brought wine glasses for 2 people to a party of 4.?? Although the food was good the evening was flawed - there needs to be someone in charge to overview the smooth running of the restaurant so that customers can focus on and appreciate the food we have come out to enjoy after all these months of restrictions.

Beautiful! Maybe a bit misleading from the outside, I was expecting something more traditional but was pleasantly surprised. Would not hesitate to go back if I lived closer.

Great rooms and decor throughout and food was excellent although could definitely do with adding some gluten free options. Very limited cocktail menu with sub-par bloody marys however wine list and bottled drinks gave good coverage.

Really enjoyed the break away from the brats at home food was excellent and we sat in sun peacefully drinking before returning to our room which was comfortable and the pair of us slept well and even slept in before having our breakfast.. well be back when we have time or when we need a break from kids

Experience was great, room was amazing and would go back. The gentleman on reception didnt have the most warming feeling to him though. Steak was tender but I would of preferred homemade chips and not the burger King style chips they served.

Over priced average food. Went for the 3 course Sunday lunch starters were ok but soup only warm. Main burnt Yorkshire pudding, chewy beef and again only warm. Desert was fantastic

Im sat at the table with my wife. Its our wedding anniversary. We booked an early table so we could enjoy 4 courses, and at least 2 bottles of wine, probably3. We deliberately arrived early, to not put pressure on them, and for us not to be rushed.It all started well, bottle of wine, split a pizza for the 1st course. We are 25 minutes in.Now it goes from sublime to ridiculous...We are ready to order starters and another bottle of wine, my wife likes oysters, especially smaller ones, not the large fatty ones, and asks the server what size the oysters are. In the US, they are size scaled. The server doesnt know, asks a lady we assume her boss, who doesnt know, so they ask the chef who says, and I quote we dont know until we open themOk we say, we will take a chance, order oysters for my wife, and soup for me.Our server asks us to order our entrees, we say we would like to order them after our appetizers, aa we are not sure what we will have. We are told thats not possible, we must order the main course now, because the restaurant will get busy.We politely question this, explain we would like to take our time, we have only been here 25 mins, the bill with 2 bottles of wine and 4 courses is going to over 300. We are not sure after eating the soup and oysters if we will hungry enough for a large steak, or may only want a lighter fish dish.Unfortunately they say we have to order both courses now, or skip the appetizers, so we skip appetizers.We will also be skipping the second and 3rd bottle of wine, and dessert, we almost walked out and didnt order a main course.Was close to 1 star, gave 2 stars because the pizza we split was delicious, and after having to skip appetizers, the fish I ordered was great, although I had to eat it alone, as my wife ordered a medium steak which came out blue, cold, uncooked.As its our anniversary, she got to gaze at me lovingly for 15 minutes while I ate my fish, and then 20 mins later I got to gaze at her lovingly while she eats her steak alone. I mean alone in every sense of the word, not only had I finished my dinner earlier, but the sides that accompanied the now beautifully cooked steak were raw. Raw fries, completely inedible.We have already booked another local Italian restaurant for 630pm to have dessert and a couple of bottles of wine.Very very underwhelmed, and not how I planned to spend our wedding anniversary.Im posting this while I am sat here, if anyone would like to speak to me before I leave.Our waitress asked about our experience, and I told her all of this, I also said she had been nice, o was not frustrated with her, but she might want to share this with a manager, and I showed her this review. She said, and I quote, they do read the reviews, and I dont blame you for booking another restaurant Will not be returning.

OMG.. What a beautiful place this is, I read the reviews and heard good things from friends and still thought umm lets see and so glad I listened to everythng it was one of the best places we have ever been to.It was a surprise for my husband 60th ( i had mine a few months previous and couldnt do anything 😩)and when I heard him say wow as I opened the door I knew I made the right decision and when he seen the hot tub that made it even better 😉 wink wink in oink oink.!!!!.. Fantastic place from the room to the delightful staff who served us the best food from the kitchen and breakfast was 100% spot on,Even down to the ice bucket and glasses.☺Thank youEveryone ☺☺👍

Great outdoor seating area to dine with family. The food was brilliant and staff were very atentative.

This was me and my partners first time at the Impeccable Pig and I have to say, it was absolutely fantastic. The food was some of the best food we had ever eaten and the staff were friendly and attentive. The social-distancing rules were clear and easy to follow. Cant wait to bring my parents here because Im sure they would love it as much as we did. Cannot recommend enough.

Most expensive bar in Sedgefield, but I guess you are paying for very nice surroundings and you dont get the the louts in.

The room was beautiful, gorgeous decor. The rain fall shower head works fine, but the main shower head squirted water out of the hose/fixture to the shower head, couldnt use it. The stone floor out where the hot tub is could do with a jet wash as the cement between the stones is black and very dirty, when its wet its very slippy and slimy.The restaurant is beautiful and the food was stunning. Staff cant do enough for you.

We tried the impeccable pig for the first time and the first thing we noticed was the cozy and nice decoration this place had. No matter where you get to sit, the view you get is amazing. The dishes were certainly incredible with exception of the sushi, that we could go without it, but everything else is a MUST TRY. Prices were a little bit high but fair enough for the experience we lived. Recommended place 👍🏻

Excellent service, amazing surroundings/venue, very carefully planned and executed decor.Good variety of meal choices not repetitive or too narrow.Good value for money and an ideal choice for a special occasion.Really popular so must, must book even on a Tuesday evening!Down side, chips let the meal down as just common frozen chips when everything else was unique/special/differently.Would definitely eat here again, just not chips.

Really nice establishment, paid a lot of money for a dysfunctional room, Onsite staff really tried to rectify the problems only to be let down by their manager Pierre who had really poor people skills, suggest some retraining for the upper management. Such a shame for what should of been a wonderful first wedding anniversary treat.

Service at the bar was poor, the bar staff were inattentive and their attitude dour. The room on the whole was was ok but lots of dust on the velour headboard. Empty pop bottle wedged between headboard and dressing table, covered in dust, must have been there a long time, under the bed was very dusty and a half bottle of complimentary toiletry was found lying there. It’s these small issues that should be found by the staff before a room is deemed ready for new occupation. Food was good and restaurant staff very good. Would I come back? No. I raised my concerns with the management via email before leaving this review, I was offered a free round of cocktails. If you’ve tried them then you certainly won’t want any more! Tasteless is an understatement. Such a shame really as it could be so much better if the welcome and the attitude of some staff was improved. My biggest complaint has to be the attitude of the bar staff, sorry to interrupt you if I wanted to order a round of drinks! As for the email to the management and their response, yes I did raise the room cleanliness with the duty manager as we checked out and was told the cleaners would be informed.

Ive just got back from lunch there with mum and 10 month old baby. The staff were fantastic. So welcoming, friendly and brilliant with little one. Food was brilliant. Decor is amazing. Very impressed.

Excellent food, and the staff were great, the sommelier in particular was very knowledgeable and helped us find a perfect wine match for our meal. We had the château briand and it was cooked to perfection.

The decor in this place is stunning, even the toilets are exceptional! Doesnt look much from the outside and is more restaurant than pub but brilliant inside and the food was delicious. Service was really good. There is an outside area although we didnt use it. Drinks were priced in line with what you expect for somewhere upmarket. £5 for a lager, £20+ for a bottle of wine.

Had a private dinning experience here on Saturday. The room was upstairs with the floor cut out so you can see down into the bar. The deco is absolutely impeccable and the food is to die for. All 14 of us had an incredible experience from very attentive staff cannot fault the staff at all. Only critic would be that some of us ordered rare steaks that can more towards medium. Apart from that this is a must have dining experience!

My amazing boyfriend booked this for my 21st and oh my god from start to finish it was absolutely amazing. The bath, bed, decor, everything was superb. The service as well was second to none, the lady at the front desk was extremely accommodating and the man who served us in the restaurant was fab! Wish I got their names! I think you should introduce a gratitude system on the card machines, as we had no change but would have loved to leave a tip in the restaurant.The food was just unbelievable, we got a fillet steak and the duck confit - the portion and taste was perfect not overpriced at all. We’ve visited so many restaurants which are more expensive and the taste/atmosphere was nothing like the Impeccable Pig. My boyfriend was extremely impressed by the philly cheese fries that we ordered on the side, there was plenty of thick steak chunks and lots of cheese. For desserts we got the sticky toffee pudding (best one I’ve had) and the chocolate brownie. My friend paid for a gorgeous bottle of white wine and it really made the evening more special. From sitting down to leaving it was such an enjoyable experience, will definitely be visiting the restaurant again very soon!Again I never got the name of the lady member of staff who took the photo of me in the toilets (the bathroom of dreams) in the restaurant but thank you so much!If your looking for somewhere to take your partner, I could not recommend this place enough. My 21st birthday will be one to remember can’t thank my boyfriend or the staff for such an amazing experience!

Slow service and wasnt that busy either. Lovely Sunday lunch but poor choice of veg. Sticky toffee pudding was nice again but the cheesecake portion size was a joke. Mixed feelings on todays visit which is a shame really as the surroundings are so lovely.

The impeccable pig is impeccable! we had a delicious dinner & stayed the night in one of their insane rooms! service was great the whole way through. highly recommended staying a night if you want some where different!

An outstanding place to stay. The experience is completely different from anywhere else Ive ever stayed, the downstairs rooms with a hot tub and garden area are secluded enough for all kinds of fun. The staff are extremely accommodating and will provide infinite coffee, milk and sugar for the room along with anything else you require. The decor in each room is devine, the different looks of all of them adds to the feel of each room and the size of the bed means three people can fit comfortably in one. Basically if you want a sexy, comfortable and affordable yet out of this world night away, this is the place to go.

We went for a meal to celebrate my step dads birthday yesterday evening. Great food from the new menu and absolutely excellent service from the very attentive staff.Also, the decor within the interior of the restaurant was amazing - I would definitely recommend. The impeccable pig certainly does live up to its name.
