In Sonoma with friends for a few days and they advised us that this is the only excellent place for breakfast/brunch locally, and worth the wait if there is a line. They were not wrong and the four of us ate there three days running. The food and drinks were exceptional and out quick from friendly staff.I was a big fan of the American Breakfast (double-up on the homemade jam), and also the Eggs Benedict, and we loved the Lavender Mist Monster Mimosa.I bought a Maya American Poet Diner Mug and accidentally broke it, and I was about to buy another but they replaced it, without any fuss, and cost.We were all really impressed by this very well run business.
Excellent restaurant! The outside patio is phenomenal and super cute. We were impressed with the white sage plant and the cute fountain and flowers around. The mushroom coffee with a shot of espresso was delightful. So was the bottle of lavender mimosa. Sunflower caffe is a great place to treat yourself and loved one while in Sonoma.
Amazing food and the friendliest employees. A must for anyone on a short trip to Sonoma. We went on a Saturday morning around 11, and arrived to a very long line for outdoor seating. However the line moved relatively quickly. Once we were seated, food was out in minutes. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great. Lots of gluten free and dairy free options - dietary restrictions were not an issue. Blackberry mimosas are great, and burritos looked to die for.
The food was great! The seating in the back garden/patio is well done. The service was quick and great! I would totally recommend this place for anyone.
The absolute best place for breakfast/brunch in Sonoma! The back patio is so cute and the food is delicious. They are so efficient with their process of ordering before you’re seated, so don’t be discouraged when you see a long line! Highly recommend the blackberry mimosa and granola waffle, but everything is amazing.
An absolute favorite lunch spot when I am in Sonoma. I’m a tour guide and recommend it to all my passengers and everyone always loves it. So healthy, fresh, and satisfying. The staff is always lovely and it’s always a pleasure interacting with them. Beautiful back garden as well.
Wow! My family has been here before, but thanks to Covid its been a while. Well, now it cant be nearly as long in between visits as there is no way I will be capable of such a wait.We LOVED our food! I got the breakfast biscuit sandwich for which they happily accommodated egg white. (My husband will not eat eggs yolk...)I really feared what this was so to the dish as it is supposed to be a soft scramble. Well, boy did the chef come through! My husband and I both are still talking about how amazing the sandwich was!We also got potatoes, the veggie french dip, a coffee oat lavender latte and cookies! All delicious.
I love this place great food and the staff are very pleasant I recommend anyone looking for a good brunch place to come here. Also I love the drink selection they have here.
Amazing ambience and food. The lavender lemonade is very tasty but definitely need to ask them to use 1/3 of the syrup otherwise it’s too sweet. The backyard dining is a memorable experience!I recommend trying their salads and their duck sandwich.Improvement tip:1. Service could become a bit more efficient, one shouldn’t have to wait 15 mins to get extra dressing for their salad or another 12 mins to get their lemonade swapped out.
Amazing ambience and vibe!! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Sonoma. We enjoyed the roasted cauliflower wrap, tomato soup, avocado toast, the granola waffles and blackberry mimosa. Grilled cheese sandwich and lavender mimosa was also fine. Drip coffee wasnt the best. Service was efficient. One thing I did not like was that in this modern day also they require us to be physically standing and waiting in line. They do not take reservations and they dont take in your phone number and let you explore the neighborhood while the waiting happens automatically. Considering most people here are tourists, it would be so much better if they let us explore the neighborhood and make use of our time.
First time today for lunch. Excellent service with Rebeca. Food was excellent! Very high quality.Found a new place to eat. Please try it, you’ll be pleased.
We loved this. The eggs Benedict were great, as was the grilled cheese. We have a 3 yr old they had clean booster seats. Really nice fresh juices. Everything wasVery efficient and covid safe.
This place was so cute! A fantastic choice for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Lots of terrific options for sandwiches, salads, soups, Benedict, waffles, and more - so many delicious options to choose from. Extensive list of drink options. Large portions. Great service. Tons of seating, mostly outdoors but covered/with umbrellas, including a front patio great for people watching and a huge back patio with lots of lovely trees and flowers. Id definitely come back!
A definite must in Sonoma! This healthy breakfast and lunch spot was amazing; a true California cafe. The Hippie salad was phenomenal with chickpeas, kale, and the best dressing (and I hate dressing!). We also got fresh tomato soup, grilled cheese, and a lavender almond milk latte. Exactly what we wanted between tastings. The outdoor seating area in the back is very cute and relaxed, but it can get packed earlier in the day. We were there around 1:30 and it was perfect. It’s a great quick stop right in the Sonoma square.
Stumbled across this little gem while looking for a place to get off our feet for awhile. Ordered the hippy salad and grilled cheese sandwich: both were amazing! Friendly, fast service.
You order at the door and then get seated. We had a group of 15 and they seated us almost immediately after we arrived. Very impressive service.
I loved the fact that tip was included with the price. We started with a almond croissant - it was flaky and perfectly delicious; coffee was hot and tasty. One of us had the veggie breakfast burrito filled with local squash. Another one got the avocado toast on a bed of local sunflower sprouts and a poached egg on top. It was a little pricey, both about $14 each, but it was all locally sourced and organic. Service was fast and the staff were very nice. I was very pleased with the food, very upscale and totally fresh and flavorful!
Very cute outdoor seating area, quiet enough for conversation, good combination of sun and shade, service is great and the food is pretty fresh. I enjoyed the salad — a little bland — but others in my group tried the chia pudding, American breakfast, and the quinoa bowl, and they loved it! Would return over Girl and the Fig if in Sonoma area.
Little weird that you must order before being seated but beautiful ambiance and great FAST service!
Sunflower Caffé is a must go for brunch during your Sonoma/Napa trip! Looks small from the front but there’s a phenomenal open air garden in the back with a lot more seating. The food was not only picturesque but also tasty. We tried their specialty donut which was filled with passion fruit jelly - soooo good. We ate family style and my favorite bites were the eggs in the winter squash scramble and the banh mi. Honestly there wasn’t anything I that I didn’t like. The lavender oat latte is worth trying too!
Food is always wonderful. The Post Pandemic service was very attentive. I love the beautiful courtyard. So peaceful and Zen...
Amazing brunch! Im so happy to have outdoor dining back again. What better place to do it than in their gorgeous garden patio out back! Luckily we got here around 10am on a Sunday because by the time we were done there was a sizeable line on the sidewalk.I ordered the prosciutto burrata panino accompanied by a matcha latte. Did not disappoint!
Delicious. Healthy. Great business concept. They take care of their employees. Locally sourced ingredients.
Best breakfast in Sonoma and maybe Napa Valley. Fall seasonal scramble was pleasantly delicious.
This place is quaint and quiet when we went around 8am on a Friday. I ordered a mocha that was tasty and the peaches and creme waffles that turned out pretty good. The omelettes are also good, and they come accompanied with a decently sized salad. We sat in the outdoor patio, that was peaceful and had a lovely fountain. It is, however, overpriced and quite expensive.
Their Eggs Benedict is particularly amazing. Im usually skeptical of house made English muffins because the texture is usually too soft for the dish. Sunflowers flower is not only the right consistency but the sourness of their dough lends well to their hollandaise, bring the dish together very well.
The food was absolutely awesome! We visited Sonoma for my birthday trip and Googled restaurants in the area and this one came up as a top spot. We decided to check it out and we were not disappointed. Everything was tasty and affordable. Definitely a spot to eat at whenever you are in the area. The line can be a long but it moves pretty fast.
Go here. Quick delicious plates, beautiful place to sit and eat.
Food was delicious!!! It came out so fast and the service was amazing!! Definitely will be coming back!
Another gem of SonomaMelissa is an amazing chef, go try her awesome creations & try the frozen wine!
Food was good. Had to ask to have a couple things redone. They charged us for an extra entre and had to reimburse.
The most idyllic outdoor patio for a Sonoma breakfast or brunch. The line can get long as the demand is high, but thats how you know its good! The staff keeps the line moving and when it is your turn, you will be met with great service and a smiling face! My sisters and I got the spring scramble along with peach Bellinis, coffee and a sparkling wine. The service is fast, the atmosphere is delightful and the food was impeccably good. I wish I had a breakfast place like this where I live!
Went twice in the same trip because we enjoyed the food and back patio seating! Delicious breakfast burrito and the smoothie had a lot of flavor.
Great place for breakfast. Everything is fresh. I had the shiitake mushroom omelette and latte. The latte was piping hot, well balanced. The omelette was perfectly done with fresh greens on the side. Service: you order at the front and given a number, your order is brought to your table. They are very fast. I ordered, paid walked around the corner got myself a glass of water and as I sat down they brought me my latte, the food arrived maybe 5 minutes thereafter.Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Be early for indoor seating.
If you find the gem please indulge yourself have try the Boston Cronut it’s a splendid delight.Pair it with a lavender latte. It’s a great pre breakfast to share with a loved one.
My favorite breakfast place ever!! Well worth the wait! You may not recognize all the things on the menu, but they are all more delicious than anything youve had else where! Pro-trip: get the blackberry mimosa with whatever you order- delicious!! ❤️
Tasty vegetarian breakfast burrito. A bit higher priced here, but high quality. They have a spacious outdoor patio.
A bit on the high end with prices but since they have no tipping policy as they increase wages to workers to make up for it, so it balances out to about the same I guess. The breakfast burrito and coffee tasted good; other breakfast item portions didnt seem to justify the amount paid, such as the American Breakfast but they tasted good.
Oh my gosh fantastic!!! Everything is so delicious and they’re really accommodating. The patio is gorgeous! I loved the lavender mist mimosa, oat waffle, and sunflower salad. Thanks for making my day :)
Very nice place! Definitely worth a visit. Local artists work is on the walls. Very comfy, feel good vibe in this place. Everything tastes fresh and delicious. I had their turkey sandwich along with Sonoma IPA and it was very well made. If you dont like mustard that opens up your sinuses then this sandwich might not be for you. They have plenty of outdoor seating in the front and back of the restaurant.
Delicious food, great ingredients, fast service, lovely surroundings. Highly recommended.
The best place i ever had for breakfast!!
Cute place to grab breakfast! I got the granola waffle with their lavender oat latte and it was tasty. If your looking for light and healthier options I would recommend.
Super cute and very busy cafe in downtown Sonoma! I had the avocado toast, berry smoothie, and dirty chai - all were very good. This is the kind of place where you order at the counter and then they give you a number to put on your table so I would advise to snag a table before you order if you can. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating which is great! I loved the food and drinks here and wouldn’t definitely go back.
Delicious place for brunch or lunch. Ordered the Sunflower Grilled Cheese with bacon, it was tasty and fresh, comes with a nice side salad. They have good beer on tap as well, ordered the Sonoma Springs IPA and it was very refreshing. Really loved the sunflowers outside, it really adds character and is comforting.
Excellent breakfadt/lunch! Gorgeous courtyard patio. Friendly service.
What a great brunch place! Whole the seating inside is very limited (rainy day), there is covered outdoor seating. The food was top notch and is a great place to stop on your way home from Napa (assuming youre headed to SF) or if you just happen to be in the Sonoma area.Order at the counter and theyll find your table by the number they gave.Get a shake! Delicious.
Ordered the Bellini which is a Peach puree with prosecco and the American sandwich which included egg, avocado and bacon with a side of lemon spritzed arugula. Enjoyed these options very much! You order your food up front and it is brought to your table of choice. The service was kind. If there is you need, simply walk up front and ask. Easy peasy. There us a 13% fee charged, so remember not to tip. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating includes a handful of tables in the front, overlooking the squarr, and outdoor seating in the back garden.
Were used to this place being packed, and still getting great food and service.Due to the current times, it wasnt packed, but the food and service was still great. We shared the Peach Pie Waffle and the Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich w/bacon and avocado. We were seated on the back patio, and the food did not take long to come out. And, it did not disappoint. It would be easy for a establishment to back off on the quality, and hope that people are just grateful that theres somewhere open. Not the case here. Food was at its usual high standards, and the service was equally good.
We waited about 20 minutes in line at 1:30pm on a Sunday, but it was well worth it!The granola waffle was delicious! The biscuit on the buttermilk biscuit sandwich was also fantastic!
Loved this place. Healthy food that tastes amazing!!!
I love the food, my favorite plate is the waffles 🧇 I will definitely come back for more I enjoy eating in the back siting area that they have, it is very relaxing
We stopped at this place for to-go brunch on our way out of Sonoma and it does not disappoint. We got the biscuit sandwich, avocado toast, and steak sandwich, and all were delicious. I’d recommend ordering online and picking up to save time. There’s a park across the street, and eat which is lovely. Will be back for sure!
Without a hint of exaggeration, the friendliest staff I have encountered anywhere. Wonderful food as well. Fun!!
We are on our way to Napa and my Son recomend us this coffee and the food are delicius.Definitely I come back with all my family!.✌✌✌✌
Dirty chai latte 👏🏼 orgasmic. Perfect amount of cinnamon, espresso, and creamy beyond belief. Prefect pick-me-up post wedding!Sonoma sunrise smoothie was a healthy dose of fruits and excellently blended - no big chunks.Music and ambiance was bliss. Beautiful setting across from the park with comfortable padded metal chairs.Bonus points for being open early on a Sunday!
Great tranquil ambiance. Theres a lovely water fountain in the garden seating area and shade to keep you cool. Food is tasty too, but a little expensive. There seem to be vegan treats so thats helpful for those who are looking for options.
Beyond amazing! We couldnt decide what to order, so we got it all. Given the mountain of food in front of us, I was sure we would roll out of there bloated for days. Instead we strolled into the Sonoma sunshine light, happy, and thoroughly satiated. The smoothy was delicious, the butter divine, the arugula perfectly bitter and perfectly dressed. The tomato soup - so simple, so incredible. I could go back every day for a week!
Been here at least a dozen times; never a bad experience. My wife and I would move to Sonoma just to eat here everyday. Fresh, flavorful, delicious...every time.
Patio is great. Food was great. Superb breakfast.
Great service. The patio is lovely and the food and service excellent.
Best brunch Ive ever had
Dont even hesitate for a second, go here and enjoy the delicious and fresh food. The location is excellent, right in the Plaza, and if youve got pets, the outdoor seating was perfect for bringing my dog with as well. The coffee is great and free to refill too. Youve wasted too much time already, go now!
Beautiful backyard, and delicious sandwiches. Dont be afraid of the line, once youve ordered they bring the fresh made food almost instantly. I was honestly impressed how organized and swift their kitchen must be..
