Fantastic iron fitting experience at Golf Warehouse. Dennis gave great analysis of my swing and the best club choices for my game, was patient and attentive throughout the process and I cant wait to get my new irons out on the course. I highly recommend Dennis and Golf Warehouse for anyone looking for a club fitting.
Was fitted for new clubs here, Dennis, the owner, was awesome- you can tell hes been doing this for a long time. He was patient and attentive as we worked through various options, and Im more than thrilled with how my clubs turned out.Id also been fitted at another local retailer who only fit you for their brand of clubs, and the recommendation from Dennis (specifically related to the loft angle of the clubs) was something important that the other guys didnt catch. When you are spending $1k+ on the very best new irons, these details are important.Last thing Ill say is that my irons were supposed to be delivered on a Wednesday and i needed them for Friday. They were delayed by Fedex for a day. Dennis worked out a way for me to pick them up after-hours on Thursday night, which was a lifesaver! (Hint: if you find yourself in a similarly desperate situation, order some takeout food from them, tip well, and chat with Richard for a bit, hes a great guy.)If you want to know, my first round with my new irons I shot a 55 on the front (one of my worst rounds in 2 years), which I chalk up to having not played at all in the previous 3 weeks due to a wrist injury. Im a 14 handicap. On the back I shot 41. Boo-yah!
I really liked Dennis up until today. Took in a lefty Scotty Cameron I purchased online to have him inspect and he cut me off and said Its not my job to figure out if a club is legit if you bought it from someone else online. He clearly doesnt care about lefties or our difficulty we struggle with finding clubs. What he also failed to realize is I was about to get a regrip, buy some balls, support his business, etc.and I would have been back next time. After today, I wont be back at all.
Awesome store! Dennis and his team are very helpful and knowledgeable.
I called to get an estimate to have a few clubs re-gripped. I was told ~$3.00 install cost per grip. So I went to Golf Warehouse Atlanta to purchase grips and have them put on. I wasnt sure how much to build up the grips.. so I decided to purchase two, hoping to play with them, get a feel, and have the rest done later. The grips I purchased could have been purchased for less at... you name the store. After having the grips put on the install cost suddenly increase to $5.00 per grip. They did put the grips on immediately, I thought maybe I paid for the express service. When I asked why the increase in price, I was told you are only having grips placed on 2 clubs so its more expensive Really?!If you like supporting smaller independently owned stores while hoping to get a good deal.. this might not be the place for you.
Excellent service - great experience.
Excellent service. Dennis was great to work with fitting for a new set of golf clubs. Professional, knowledgeable, and just all around helpful. Will definitely be going back to Golf Warehouse Atlanta.
Ive been here a couple times in the last few years. Fast, friendly service. The prices are competitive and for this rookie golfer the free advice is priceless.
Dennis and his staff are top notch. Excellent service and inventory!
I ordered a custom Ping Driver and 3wood on July 9th. The site says it takes 3-4 weeks for customer clubs. I got notification that my orders wont be ready for delivery until September. So I cancelled. Customer service says they might be able to cancel my order. Might, meaning, the manufacturer may not accept my cancellation. Ive called 3 times to date to check the status of my cancellation, to which, every person has told me theyll send an email to their internal guy who manages cancellations. This mystery man, evidently, hasnt done anything. I asked what would happen if theyre not able to cancel, and they said I could return and receive store credit. So if I want clubs before September, I gotta go spend MORE money somewhere else, OR, wait for clubs till September. Meanwhile, my $800+ dollars is just sitting with TGW, who is basically holding my money hostage until they get some product to ship. This business totally sucks.
I live in Texas and I ordered a custom shaft from these guys. They built it perfectly, communicated with me very well and shipped it quickly. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
I went to get fitted for a new set of irons, and the customer service was phenomenal. Not only did Mitch help me pick out the right set of clubs but he also took the time to help my swing. I wouldnt take my business anywhere else.
Great place to get fitted and order custom clubs. Mitch is fantastic at his job and went above and beyond. I paid for a 20 minute fitting, and due to traffic arrived 15 min before closing time. Mitch worked with me at least 30 minutes past close and helped me get all set up. Zero pressure to order right away. Would recommend this place, and Mitch, to anyone.
Excellent staff. Dennis and his associates are Great!Reccomend you going.
Over-priced. I shop for golf equipment frequently, and I have found their prices to be consistently higher on everything they sell. BTW, don’t go there right before closing. I went by there @ 5:50pm needing a golf bag. I asked to see their bags after I mentioned my old bag had come apart and needed a new one so I could play golfthe next day. Their response-“we are closing now” Wow, seriously? Here’s a customer wanting to quickly purchase a golf bag, but they weren’t willing to take a few extra minutes to help me and make a $200+ sale. Guess they don’t need the business. No problem. PGA GolfStore was still open, and they were happy to sell me a new bag.
I scheduled a club fitting in hopes of purchasing a new set of irons from Golf Warehouse and could not have had a better experience. Mitch worked with me and actually came in an hour before opening time to accommodate my schedule. There were no high pressure sales tactics and in fact, he asked so many questions, such as what is my goal and what do I expect to get out of new clubs? When we finally agreed on which set of irons would be best for me, Mitch then worked to get the proper shaft and lie angle. I have not received the new clubs yet but am confident that they will improve my game. The fitting and lesson were a huge help for me as well. When I return to Atlanta I will most certainly go back to Golf Warehouse for another lesson. Dennis and Mitch are extremely nice guys and very knowledgeable in what they are doing. I would recommend Golf Warehouse Atlanta to anyone looking to purchase golf equipment or get a lesson.
Had a swing analysis by Mitch... really good insights and very helpful... whole experience was very beneficial. Recommend!
Had a lesson with Dennis about a week ago, he was able to tweak my swing and explain the reason behind the adjustments which helped me understand what exactly I needed to do. Ive played 4 rounds since and havent hit my driver like this in quite awhile. I definitely recommend anyone needing lessons to go see Dennis at Golf Warehouse.
The Golf Warehouse is by far the best golf store Ive ever encountered. The owner, Dennis, is extremely helpful whether you are buying, selling, repairing, or simply browsing golf equipment. Dennis infinite golf knowledge will help you better understand the newest golf equipment and technology, and help find the right fit for your swing. The PGA Tour Superstore improperly fitted me for golf clubs, and they werent even close to the correct fit for my swing. After getting fitted and purchasing new irons at the Golf Warehouse, I gained an average distance of over 20 yards per club. Let me repeat that, OVER 20 YARDS GAINED PER CLUB. The personal and caring service provided at this location is unmatched anywhere in the Atlanta area, and quite possibly the country. I would highly recommend this store to my friends and family. I will be buying all of my golf clubs, equipment and golf balls at this store from now on. Exemplary service all around.
Great experience. Very pleased with the service and value. Dennis was patient, asked lots of questions, and explained why he recommended the clubs he did. I never felt rushed. I’ll be back next time I need equipment for sure.
Always enjoy going there. Dennis is great. Very helpful to my improving golf game!
Atlanta Golf Warehouse is truly the last real golf pro shop in Atlanta. Dennis is extremely knowledgeable in the golf business and golf club fitting. He is a wealth of knowledge, Dennis will not try to sell you something, but rather look at your swing and current club set up then make a calculated decision about new clubs or tweaking current clubs that you might have in your bag. As an avid golfer I have shaved strokes off my handicap just by having Dennis look at my swing and changing my lofts/lies with my current bag, saving me $1000 in new irons. I have played the best and shot my lowest scores, all thanks to Dennis. If you do choose to pick up new clubs, no worries, Dennis will get you fit for the best clubs that will fit your swing/handicap. Having bought a new custom fit 3 wood from Dennis last year and playing 20 rounds with it, Denniss fitting was spot on. Highly recommend Dennis services and his fine pro shop.
The owner, Dennis was very helpful and will easily show recommendations for any of the questions the customers has. The experience I had was very helpful and pleasant. Highly recommend coming here if you golf a lot and you want equipment or merchandise for the course!
Dennis and his team are always very helpful whenever I walk into the store. I recently had my clubs modified and re-gripped and his team always delivers a great work product with a positive attitude and sense of urgency. Its nice to have a local golf store that believes in great customer service.
Made the trip based on the reviews and it was well worth it. I am always cautious going into places like this where I am probably not he usual customer, but Dennis could see I was athletic and didnt let any preconceived notions cloud his customer service. He evaluated my swing, gave me a few pointers and then recommendations. We walked out with a set of Lady Edge clubs. He was not pushy and was very knowledgeable.
Dennis was fantastic. Came in today for the first time and he was very straight forward and honest. I came away confident with him feedback and advice. I was able to get fitted as well decide which irons were best for me.
Customer service was by far the best Ive ever had at any golf store, large or small. Dennis, the owner was very friendly and valued each and every customer. Decent selection of older and newer used and new clubs. Definitely will be making this place a regular stop.
After using a larger golf shop in the past I wanted to try a smaller one and very glad I did. There is just one guy working there but he nailed the specs on my new set of clubs. He diagnosed I needed to go to stiff shaft and figured out specifications, very patient and took the time to do it right. So last night I was launching straighter and longer than ever after testing them out, I would estimate about 12 years per club longer which is fantastic. Nice to have a player coach to tap into for key advice and operate with a handshake like the old days.
If you are having any trouble at all with your golf game this is the place you need to visit. Dennis is very knowledgeable and very helpful. If he cant get you back on your game then golf is not for you. Wonderful store and great prices.
Amazing experience. Got an iron fitting done with Mitch who was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He didn’t try to push me toward any brand in particular and helped me get the most out of my experience. Dennis was just as friendly and welcoming and even gave me a swing tip to better enjoy my new purchase. My only regret is not coming to them sooner and more often, but I will not be making that mistake anymore!Shyamal “Sam” Desai
Im a high school golf coach who visited Golf Warehouse Atlanta with my team as a field trip. I was most impressed with how much positive attention the shop gave my players. Smiles, greetings, questions, and advice convinced me that this guy really knows golf and cares about his customers, no matter how young or ready to spend money. At other golf stores (and Ive visited a bunch traveling with my team), the employees panic when teenagers pick up clubs or want to hit balls. Dennis welcomed us, and Ive been a loyal customer ever since.
This is by far one of the best Pro Shops in town. Forget the Superstore, save yourself tons of time and money and shop locally not at the huge chain. I wondered in here on accident (next to one of the best sushi joints in town) one evening looking to repair an old Hogan 1 iron that I found in the attic for a bet. Not only did Dennis advise me not to re-shaft it he re-gripped it with a super nice new Golf Pride while I waited in under 10 minutes. I have since brought him numerous project clubs for grips and other repairs and there is nothing that he is above or refuses to look at. Dennis always advises me properly, never oversells and, then takes the time to explain what would best fit my needs. Need a gently used ping 3 wood in fantastic shape for your wife? Hes probably got one in the back. Going forward this is my go-to pro shop and should be yours for any and all of your golf equipment needs.
Dennis was super helpful in fitting my skill level to a set of used irons. The cost was reasonable, and I felt like I received a free swing lesson to boot! I only wish the location was more convenient for me.
Knowledgeable staff and extremely helpful when trying to figure out the best golf club(s) for me.
Great customer service and attention
I have not been here in a long time. Dennis fitted me with a Cleveland driver. Dennis is very hospitable to me. This is my new golf store!
The staff have pride for the store and passion to actually help everyone who comes into the store whether it is to buy balls or get fit for clubs. They just like to talk about golf, ways to improve and courses in the area. Even if you dont have anything to buy i would suggest stopping. On a side note, they are just about the only place that sells Tour Edge Exotics equipment which makes the best drivers, woods, and hybrids around for a reduced price. If you havent heard of them its because they dont pay pros to play their equipment yet they do have numerous victories on tour. Anyway, back to the review. The Golf Warehouse wont have the inventory that a golfsmith will have but the experience will be much better if you like talking about golf. Im actually going back this weekend to check out used putters and buy balls for my simulator.
Dennis makes the store. Friendly and welcomes questions. Ready to make special orders if he does not have the item. Great Swing instructor.
We ordered a set of clubs that were suppose to take 7-10 days to get in. We did not get the clubs till 6 weeks later. We were always given an excuse as to why they werent in or told they should be In any day. We were also told he would call us back with an update but He never called us back and so we just kept calling. Finally we got the order number and called Ping directly about our order and the status of delivery. The clubs did finally arrive and we now have them. It was not a pleasant experience at all and we will do our business elsewhere from now on.
I had a great experience here with the shop pro named Dennis! Even though Im very novice at this point with my golf, he still took time to give me plenty of help and advice!
Locally owned store in Smyrna, The owner (Dennis) is very knowledgeable of the golf and will help you find the right equipment for your game (and also does lessons which are very good),
Nice people
Dennis the owner is very customer centric. Great shop with good values.
Had my driver re-shafted -- quick and easy, fair price, very friendly / informative. Ill be returning for everything golf related as long as Im in Atlanta.
Cool one stop golf shop, Dennis is super helpful, the hitting bays are a real treat. You can also get lessons
Went in to drop off a couple clubs for regripping, and they were done in 10 minutes. The store is clean, the staff is professional and extremely courteous. Best golf shop around!
Dennis or Tim will advise your golf needs, not over sell.
Stopped in at the Golf Warehouse and told Mitch my situation and what I was looking for. Mitch didnt miss a beat and was able to pick out some clubs that were perfect for me. I never felt that he was trying to get the sell versus getting me the right set of clubs. Thanks Mitch.
Very friendly and helpful. Awesome to get to hit some balls in store before buying!!
This store will not support you or try to help you in any way. Very racist and they’re rude if you not a golf expert. I didn’t want anything from their store I only wanted to sell some clubs. DO NOT SHOP here.
I walked into the store and browsed for about 10 mins ... No one spoke, no one said hi, no asked if I needed anything
