I read some of the reviews and felt exonerated. I was thinking maybe its me and my expectations of good customer service. I support these businesses to include local small businesses and expect to encounter courteous, FRIENDLY, knowledgeable and employees with average communication skills. I find, with this store, it is a hit and miss of very good to just plain horrible service. On several occassions i have called for the manager and found the same, hit or miss good service.

Sometimes the staff at the store are very rude. Other times they come across as very friendly people. I have had an equal amount of positive and negative experiences here. A lot of times the staff members will be very friendly and helpful even though sometimes they dont know what theyre talkin about. I have had an instance where one of the associates was extremely rude to me staring me down like he was going to attack me. Simply for trying to exit the parking lot I was trying to leave the parking lot after looking at one of the sheds there are no enter only signs and there were two arrows one pointing the direction I was going and the other point in the other directions indicating that you could drive in and out either way. A random Home Depot associate was screaming at me standing in front of my vehicle. Because my vehicle is loud I couldnt hear what he was saying he was giving me a dirty look and then he began to walk away. When he started to walk away I began driving in the normal direction that I was trying to exit out of the man turns around and screaming at me again And I was completely confused as to what was going on. After consistently not explaining himself and not telling me that this was not an area that I could exit out of finally he approached my window and yelled at me. He told me that he was tired of people like me trying to exit in this area and that he would not allow me to exit at this area because that is not the way that we are supposed to exit because we are causing a hazard to people trying to get their mulch. This was all very unprofessional and very poorly handled. And if there is a particular way that people are supposed to go in and out of this area there needs to be enter only signs along the entire driveway.

First of all, this store is EXTREMELY hot and I was only in the store for 30 minutes. I have no idea how the workers sit in this heat for 8 hour shifts. This is unshoppable conditions! This store also has terrible and rude employees!! The electrical employees don’t know what they’re talking about and have bad attitudes!!! Then again, I would have an attitude if I was working in that hot of a store too. Don’t shop here unless you want to have a heat stroke!

Great service. I am editing my original post for one employee in particular, Angelique that worked in the paint department on the evening of the 18th of September. She was able to create and tweak a Disney paint color (which are now discontinued). This meant the world to me and will keep my loyalty to this store. I may even apply for one of those Home Depot cards they are always asking me about. Thank you Angelique. And is Walt himself approved here is the sky above my place while I applying Angeliques creation. As you probably figured out one is the sky and the other the paint.

Customer service and management doesnt seem to know the return policies. When we spoke to one customer service employee, she not only insulted the tool we had saying it was old and ugly but then brushed us off with I called a manager to help you. Not a problem. Manager came fairly quickly, but he apparently didnt understand the return policy either. When we were speaking to the manager, the ladies and customer service all stopped to listen. Its a return... not sure what was so interesting. This is the only location that gives us a problem.

Good place, many items regularly on sale. Employees are helpful, but minus one star because it can be difficult to find the right person for the right trade. Example? 3 different times I went in to ask about windows and there was no one there that could help me. The window/door person wasnt there that day. This has happened in plumbing before also. Still recommend, better than most home improvement stores, and you do get the help you need more often than not.

Good selection and friendly service! They usually have what I need, and someone always offers to help me find what Im looking for in the store.

Needs more selection. Lowes has way more, but home depot is cheaper

This location may have the fastest site to store pickup I have ever seen. My order was being placed in my car within 5 minutes of my arrival!Great job Home Depot

Nice employees who were very helpful. They pretty much just have self check out only due to covid which I enjoyed because they also have employees standing there waiting to help. I also had to return something and that went pretty smooth.

With two Home Depot stores in Slidell, we have a choice, and I choose this store because of the employees, they are NICE. Always helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to be of service to a customer. Thanks!

Absolutely outstanding customer service greeted with a smile very knowledgeable of the items and product we were in search of....I spent my $$$ with this store any time.

Hunter in the lumber department instead offering to help me, insisted in a very rude manner for me to get off the step ladder marked associates only. I get it’s associated only but this isn’t the first time an employee here bypasses you because they don’t want to deal with it.

Came out to do crafts out here with my daughter. The staff was awesome with the kids!! Daijaih was really friendly and helpful!!! Great customer service!! My daughter loves coming here to do the crafts. I will be back!! Thank you Daijaih for the great experience and being so great with the kids!!

Its absolutely horrible trying to get someone to help, there have been multiple trips to this location with the same issue. The company needs to focus training their employees on customer service. I had to make a purchase (large appliance) and asked the gentleman I found to help, said he would get someone, never did, could not find anyone in the back to help us, and during other visits when I try to look for something I cant find I asked for help just to be told to look at the app, I would not have asked if I had wanted to download a app just to find something in the store. There have been other instances about poor customer service.

I went here to get a certain kind of shingle that no one else close had, they had a bunch of them!

Very good customer service. Was looking for something specific, was met by an employee shortly after, greeted and pointed right to it. Then upon check the attendant running the self check out was very helpful as well.

If you know what youre after, its OK. Dont expect any advice or help, staff is generally clueless.

Had what I needed but couldnt find help.

Went to garden center to get 3 bags of mulch, employees were just blocking it off to get something down from top, I asked if I could grab the mulch and was told no. They hadnt even started and was just pulling the gate, I would have taken less than 5 minutes to grab the mulch.

Love this store I can always get help when I need it and I get a lot of good deals been going here for years

Friendly staff, good prices, nice selection of plants and gardening things to choose from, tons of everyday project stuff to choose from. Only thing I’d say for improvement would be -I wish they had maybe more people in there or at least available that could help u when u need something cut or whatnot.
