Really enjoy shopping here. It’s a little out of my way but it’s definitely worth it. Always very well kept and clean. I never have to worry about my items being and stock and I feel as if this Kroger has such a huge variety. The sales here are also pretty awesome!! When I went to checkout I was greeted by a lovely older woman with white hair. Needless to say she was so kind and sweet while ringing me up it kinda made my day. The bagger was also a very nice gentleman. Thank you Shelbyville Kroger keep up the awesome work!!!

I never write any bad reviews, but this is becoming somewhat of an every week occurrence. I have lived in Shelbyville for 14 years now, and this Kroger has steadily gone downhill. The pharmacy is extremely slow, the online Kroger pickup area has seen its better days, and nothing in stock...ever. I previously ordered just the essentials, approximately 75 items totaling $245, and only received 40 items totaling $145, and was charged for both, which they told me corporate does and will be back in my account in a few days, but I have ordered online since it was offered and never had it charge me twice. When I asked do they ever carry items that are in, she told me Walmart would be a better option when having items in stock 🤔 And the poor girl who brought my items out went to every car asking if they were me, and came to me very last even though I was in the middle.

Pickup is lacking. My orders are always wrong. They’re notorious for charging you with stuff and not giving it to you. Last week was a case of big red, this week it’s a 6pk of Mountain Dew and a box of cereal.They sub items without informing you. So when you get home you’ll find out you’re missing something and something else a lot cheaper will be in it’s place and you were charged for the original and no info regarding the sub. Such as types of lettuce, muffins, even loaves of bread.Ordered 3 tomatoes, received 7 and one is crushed and moldy.

Amanda is Absolutely amazing!!!!!! I had just moved to Shelbyville and was looking for a specific product. I asked a few associates if they could help me locate this item. A few of them were very vague. Amanda in drug and other merchandise went above and beyond to help me locate this product. She took the time from her replenishment that she was working on, scanned the barcode, and went to the dock to locate the merchandise I needed. It is hard to find great customer service like this. I just wanted to give a shout out to Jonathan at Shelbyville, KY Kroger, who assisted us with our Click List order today. We were a few minutes past our designated time to pick up our order, but he delivered our groceries promptly to our car and was extremely friendly and helpful. Our order was filled perfectly. No green bags in produce at all. Checked every location.Same visit, I picked up something that was in middle of the floor and gave it to a Kroger employee and let her know that I found it and didnt want someone else to run over it. She told me where it went and just looked at me. Would have been nice to hear a thank you.

I rate them as the worst checkout lines in the state of Kentucky from my experience.

Im sad that Kroger isnt the same as it ises to be. They rarely have the organic brands my family eat and we have to go all the way to Louisville for many things we used to he able to get here. Not to mention it seems like the minute we fond something we like, they stop carrying it. The store is clean and well managed which is a plus, and the selection of non-food items is nice. I just wish they had more consistent and healthier options for my family!

The look and feel of the store is such that each department could stand on its own and go toe to toe with its standalone counterpart.When I visited the store yesterday evening I wasnt feeling good so I went over to the little clinic. The people there are an absolute joy to work with. I had a little wait so being the restless type I walked round the store and explored.This is what I found. After all is said and done I had a visit with my care provider and my prescription was sent straight to the pharmacy. I was able to pick up my prescriptions and grab Some Seagrams escapes to relax when I got home.Overall Im a happy camper. I plan to review each of the individual elements of the store and the stores inside separately but for now Im leaving you with the The photo highlights of my visit.Meanwhile Enjoy !

Great place to shop, but you would think more employees would be wearing a mask. In the time of walking into the store I had seen 3 employees walking around with no mask. This has occurred on multiple dates, but it seems to have gotten worse each time. Sad to see management is not enforcing the mask mandate on the staff while on the floor working.

Click list line i is always understaffed and takes 1-2hrs to get groceries.Update 10.31.21: Did not fulfill my click list order and canceled it when I arrived. Then proceeded to tell me that it was my fault because they tried to call me. No missed calls from Kroger. Now they are lying to me.

Was struggling looking for what I needed and as I was checking out a very nice man named Ryan Barcellona I think pointed out everything I needed and helped me with my shopping experience. 10/10 very dedicated employees.

I have been using the Kroger pickup for over a year. I have health issues that preclude my shopping in the store. It has worked very well for me until today.Today, I arrived at the store to find that the pickup area had been moved from the side of the store to the front parking area and increased from six pick up slots to ten. I waited AN HOUR for my groceries. Apparently the staff had not been increased to match the larger customer numbers. I cant understand how a business would not anticipate needing more staff before making this change.

Kroger’s click list pick up is broken. Has been for months. I get it gets busy sometimes but I’m in line right now watching 2 people running back and forth with 13 cars waiting. This is just poor management. Doing Insta Cart from now on. I support Kroger but their click list is a poorly managed.

Stopped by this location while in visiting family. Laid out like the rest of the market places we have been been to so it was easy to find the items we were looking for in the store. Staff was friendly while checking out and the store was extremely clean. If your looking for a good selection of items plus a little more they have it. We would definitely recommend this location.

Ive stopped getting any item thats refrigerated because of the extremely high chance of food poisoning. The community seems to just accept it as a risk, but if the store followed safe food storage procedures then bacteria wouldnt grow. Ive seen carts full of perishables sweating away waiting to be put up by no one it seems, more times then I can count. Disgusting.

I recently read a review by a guy that said he lives by this Kroger and that its filled with smoke from them cooking. I think he must be confused. Ive been in there many times all throughout the day and this has never been the case. Its always clean and pretty well organized. My only complaint would be some of their prices on things are quite a bit higher then the local Walmart.

Store is filled with smoke and burning grease fumes every afternoon. If you have breathing problems keep out. If you are gonna fry and cook things they should install the proper vent fans I live right by this Kroger and will drive 15 miles to a different Kroger

Krogers are awesome. Doesnt matter which one you use they always have what you need at reasonable prices. Stores are clean with helpful associates throughout.

My wife scheduled a pick up several days ago. We were given a time of 7 to 8 pm last night. Arrived right at 7. Finally got the groceries at 9:08. One young lady was working hard by herself to load all orders. This is poor management. Will not be back. She should get a bonus.

Today was my yearly Trek to Kroger stores, to buy salad dressing that cannot be obtained in my home state of South Carolina. Store was clean, moderately busy, and the employees were helpful. It was a quick in and out procedure. I recommend the salad dressing and shopping at Kroger.

Tractor ride for the kids preschool was a lot of fun. Afterwords all the children were allowed to pick a pumpkin. The area is beautiful and the staff were friendly. I thought they did a great job.Afterwords I had a bight to eat at their foodstand and had a cheeseburger. Tasty!

I really like the fact that the young person pushing carts, saw me having a hard time putting my groceries in my truck and came to my rescue. He even took the riding cart back into the store. They offered inside the store to help me out, but I thought Id be fine and declined. I will definitely be going back.

Great place for lunch believe it or not. They have side entrance for Starbucks and it leads to Asian food, salad bar, Mexican food, and deli. Plenty of seating and a microwave and all of it is right by a self checkout. I can go get what I want and be in and out much faster than a fast food restaurant.

When did the hometown Kroger become so poorly run?Poorly managed. Under staffed. Long waits to check out even with the addition of more self check out lanes. Which is a poor idea. Also long waits, poorly staffed and managed click-it pick up service. Bring back the personal customer service.Tough to see this in my hometown.

Over all good place to shop clothes are exspinsive here unless they are marked down. And if your looking for ear drops hear they are very hard to find only had one or 2 types and was hidden in the middle of all the eye drops... Worker who helped me find them was very nice. Good customer care.

Clean, organized and friendly staff

Big store but its not really set up right for proper flow in shopping. Design is poor. Find the milk, it will be a challenge if you follow the isles. You would also think that this store would carry everything but thats not the case. To much of some stuff and nothing or little of others.

Kroger is the best grocery store in Shelby Co.and the best around. I love their sales & digital coupons. The employees and mgrs. are AWESOME. As my son & I would say Kroger is my store. Love love Kroger!!!!!

No carts in the Store all in the parking lot. If you wanted a cart you had to go outside to get one. No clerks bagging. Had to bag my own groceries. Hire some more peoplePitiful shopping experience.

Starbucks inside is awesome. The people running it are always friendly. The meat department is an actual meat department and not thawed prepackaged beef and chicken that tastes funny.I would give it five stars of only they were a 24 hour store.

My absolute favorite grocery store. Staff always friendly and helpful. Always good sales. Have everything I always need for random recipes. Free samples. Will let you try deli and cheese products. Customs cakes are always on point.

I love shopping at Kroger! I get fresh, organic fruit and vegetables, and Usually great customer service except today a yellow shirter avoided greeting me TWICE! I would have thought it was racism - but he was black like me! Shame on him. Kroger has taught him better!

People are great there. Nearly always helpful. I give the customers a 7 out of 10. All employees (especially the new ones) need to have training regarding all sales, promotions, and types of sales & promotions they are. They should also be trained on how to read a receipt tap to the customer in an understandable way.

Its a very good upscale grocery store. Most workers are helpful. Great selection of products.Negative : Closes to early in my opinion.

I want to share my praise for the Shelbyville Kroger seafood department. After placing a special seafood order at a high end specialty grocer in Louisville, who then lost the order and told me they did not have the skills to fulfill the order (a side of salmon, skin removed...), your wonderful meat and seafood department was able to provide this on the spot while I picked up other groceries, and it saved my dinner party. Please pass along my sincere praise and thanks.

I love how helpful the employees are. No matter what they are doing they always go out of there way to help. I also love how big and open the store is and how they always have what i am looking for!

Nice store. They keep items well stocked. Only problem is they allow employees to smoke in front of store and so you have to walk through the smoke to get to the doors, and I feel like you can smell it inside as well.

Im so grateful that a town like Shelbyville has such a great grocery store! The service, selection, and cleanliness is great. I am here several times a week to visit the lovely employees at the Starbucks kiosk.

Went to Kroger to see if they offered burritos like some of the other bistros in larger stores. Well they did and the price was good $5 for each and they tasted excellent. The size was comparable to qdoba.

The person who brought the groceries out was very helpful. There were several items that had to be substituted, some I didnt choose to take. Bit your employee was helpful and sweet.

The store is huge and spacious. It has everything you can imagine and a lot you cant! Store personnel are extremely helpful.

Do not go here or apply they are discriminative against anything and everything in your past all they want to hire is people with special disabilities so that the management doesnt have anything to worry about with losing their job to a hard working individual with a good head on his shoulders so once again dont go here and do not apply and they enjoy hanging up on people bc I just tried to call and talk to someone and she patched me thru and then hung up on me

This rating is for the click list. My groceries were to be ready at 3 o’clock I waited from 3 o’clock until 330 for them to bring them out. I had to call a second time just to remind them that I was out there. Keep in mind I was amongst only two cars who were after me. The kids that bring out the food and load it up could really use some help. They are all very sweet, kind, running all over the place and freezing. I think maybe some management should step up and try to go back there and see what they can do to make the process a lot easier on the employees as well as customers.

You can pick up pretty much everything here, including clothes and house wares. I love the specialty food section. It even had goat yogurt. Staff is extremely friendly.

I stop by for something almost every day. Love this store. Clean, friendly and well managed.

The Pick Up location is terrible. There are five spots to pick up and usually only one person bringing out groceries and loading up. There are always cars backed up into the road no matter what time of day. If you do not have the people to work this area, then do not allow so many to schedule their pick up in one time frame! Tonight, I scheduled my pick up for 5-6. The line at 515 is all the way our in the road and it took well past 6 to get me loaded. And they were loading people that pulled in several cars behind me first! Very messy every single time

They no longer carry dry ice! This Kroger is well organized and is now more of a department store. Along with groceries they now have clothes, shoes, a large seasonal section, and a Starbucks beside a sushi bar.

Anything and everythimg can be found here. Great prices and selections made this the ideal superstore. Too bad I was only able to use them while visiting KY since there arent any locations where I live.

This Kroger is huge! It has everything you could need. Plus friendly workers and even free snacks while you shop for your kids. Great store and great service!

(This review updated November 24, 2017, see below)(Posted November 22, 2017) The Shelbyvile, Kentucky Kroger has been undergoing a remodel for some time and here it is Thanksgiving and theyre still not finished.Its now quite a bit more difficult to find the items that you need, and when you ask an employee, the item you want isnt where they told you to find it. And when you finally find the right place, theyre sold out, or they dont sell that item now.From the customers perspective, the new improved layout of merchandise is no improvement over the old. Furthermore, empty shelves and familiar items no longer available tend to encourage customers to shop elsewhere, especially during the busy holiday season.************Review update November 24, 2017.Upgraded rating to four stars. Big improvement since last I visited before Thanksgiving. There are still some things unfinished and some empty spaces on the shelves, but most of the shelves are well stocked now.Permanent signs have been installed to assist the customer in finding items and there are more staff available to assist today.

As of this post they are still in the midst of a remodel project, so finding things took a little extra time. But once the remodel is finished itll be a five star rating, for that is a very nice Kroger.

The two entrances are very convenient to put you close to the Pharmacy or the Grocery area of the store. Besides groceries theres a Jewelry store, toys, clothing, shoes, houseware, kitchen store, and a clinic, and a bank with inside ATM. Clean restrooms and convenient parking.

The produce goes bad very quickly, the meat and seafood section smells like it isnt cleaned well, and they have pretty much converted to lots of generic but limited quantities of name brand (kraft) cheeses. poorly organized, specializing in cheap clothing and jewelry. Seems to confuse its self with a target or walmart rather than a grocery store. Meat no longer cut in house, just packages opened and placed on display. Poor quality on trimming beef. Very dissappointed in staffing also. Frequently bag my own groceries and the length of lines for cashier ls crazy. Wish they would go back to being a grocery store and not trying to change business model.

Kroger has the Freshest produce and meat selections. As well as a friendlier, more helpful, and professional staff. My go to grocery store in Shelbyville.

Clicklist is a great way to be able to shop online and then pickup quickly without having to walk through the store. During the weekdays, Clicklist is fast at bringing your groceries to your car. Usually on the weekends, it takes longer.

This stores Salad Bar has been in decline over the past month. It doesn’t appear as though anyone is tending to it. Out of items or very unorganized as of late. They no longer have the mixed greens opting for romaine or spinach only. This was a daily lunch visit but no longer. I’ll spend my money elsewhere.

Kroger has a good selection of food and odds and ends. There are good many coupons that can be found in the Kroger app. The organization of the store can be confusing at times.

This Kroger has fantastic employees who are always kind and thoughtful. We love having a hometown option for shopping that feels like we arent making a sacrifice which is all-to-common in Shelbyville.

Xoxo was friendly and recommended the amazing Edamame hummus. Once we started sampling Tristan helped us in sampling different cheeses and some other great recommendations. It was an outstanding visit and both employees made the experience top notch.

Always 99.9% of the time have fresh vegetables and a lot of vegan things for me.

Very expensive for the quality of food. In the last couple of weeks I have had more food go bad than ever before and it is way too expensive to be throwing away. This will be the second time I start shopping else where (the first time for bad customer service, which seems better now).

Kroger in shelbyville is a great place to shop at. Good prices, and good selection. Not 5 stars because I don’t like when you use the U-scans that you have to sit every item in the bag area. If you pull one out you have to stop and wait for a person to clear the weight alarm. Also when you scan a coupon you have to give it to an employee for them to put it in. At Walmart I just have to drop it in a hole at the end of the transaction. Makes it feel as if Kroger doesn’t trust their customers the slightest. Also causes a hassle if you have a few coupons. Other then this slight aggravation great place to shop.

Justin in the clicklist area is the WONDERFUL!!! He has gone out of the way twice now to be sure that my order is taken care of pro was also very kind when I had made an error. He fixed it for me.When I first started to use the grocery service pick up it was terrible. I went to the one on Taylorsville Road by the Gene Snyder. Waited in my car for 25 minutes with no one else there. Then when I got home of course I didnt have the roast that Ive requested for Sunday dinner it was a really big deal. Suddenly I started dealing with Justin at the Kroger store in Shelbyville. My husband and I have both have a small business. Each of about 30 years apeice, boy if he and I could have had a room full of Justins we would have been very happy. There is also a young woman there by the name of Angela and she also does an excellent job. So I would personally like to thank both of you!! Respectfully, Sydney Adams

Its way too big. Just to walk around the store is a mile long. Some isles run vertical that bump into another isle going horizontal. Its kinda confusing trying to find everything, then you have a huge section of clothes, shoes and home and garden stuff which seems to have more isles then the grocery isles.

They have eliminated 2 of my favorite departments, health food, and toys. Why, Kroger? Its why I preferred you over Wal-Mart, even though the process are better at Wal-Mart on the things I but most. :(

The pharmacy is very slow. They have plenty of people standing around talking and not working. The cashiers at the pharmacy are even slower. It takes over an hour to get a bottle of badly needed cough medicine. Time to look for a new pharmacy!
