I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy. My grandfather trusted others who recommended this mechanic. $2500 later, boy is he regretting it. My grandfather is 87 and deaf, so he relies on others for help. I believe this mechanic took advantage of the situation. Is easy to blame the old man for not “maintaining” his vehicle, also when those who recommend this guy seem to be gullible, he’s an easy target!First things first, my husband drove the vehicle prior to it going into the shop. It was overheating but still ran very smoothly. Would had just needed engine work/replacement- whatever would had corrected the problem. After having it evaluated, we were told it would need a “new” engine or he couldn’t guarantee the work. Therefore, grandpa knew the smart choice would be to replace it. 4 weeks later, still no word. After I reached out, we get the okay to pick it up. We had it brought home by the one who recommended the shop, who mentioned it was driving rough (again it did not do this prior to going in). The day after we find there’s not a drop of transmission fluid. Upon further inspection (since it was nighttime when I got back to grandpa) we saw the brownish-pink goop in the radiator. Now that tells us there’s already a major prob. So I call Brian. He proceeds to talk over me, I assume since I’m a woman that’s how men like him talk, as I don’t “know” anything about it. He tells me I can just have my husband call. Denies touching transmission (that’s interesting since they connect). And then to inform me that he’s got a customer in front of him and basically has no time to talk to me. His tone is rude and disrespectful. Now if that’s the kind of service you might want to deal with, then by all means. BUT I highly recommend you keep looking. If he doesn’t hold up his “guarantee” which is probably how it should be written on his receipts, then we won’t take him to court but looks like that’s the direction we’ll be headed in. SAVE YOURSELF THE FRUSTRATION, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This is the BEST MECHANIC Ive ever had!! AMAZING work at lightening speed! Guaranteed work, never a problem, and men... you can send your ladies and they wont be harassed or taken advantage of!! He replaced my AC in a 17 yr old Ford Taurus in 5 hours!! Didnt have another issue!! Under $750. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Brian is a really good guy who has done right by us every time we bring him one of our vehicles. Hes in the process of doing an engine swap on my 96 4runner and has been nothing but fair and honest, going above and beyond to make sure we get my baby back in good condition. He is very reasonably priced and cares about his customers. He has a great deal of integrity and is excellent at what he does. We will be recommending him to everyone! Theres a reason why he has such a high star rating and he deserves every bit of it and more.

One thing I like most about Brian is that he will give you an estimate so you can decide whether you want to fix that particular problem at that time or not, he will also help out with his opinion of what might be able to wait or another option or less expensive way of doing it. I will never use this place again. I had them replace my valve cover gasket. When I got it back my oil would show no pressure took it back and said they would do an oil pressure test but instead they just chanhch the oil and cleaned a sensor and said it was good to go. I was driving it and the oil pressure went back to 0 started hear top and bottom end noise and now my motor is froze up. It was running great before I took it in to them apart from the leaky valve cover gasket. I drove back and forth from tecumseh to the city everyday for over a year now and problems. Now I own a boulder because of this place. Do not use this place EVER not to mention Ive had this truck for 6 years doing regular maintenance on it and never had an issue till now.!

The gentleman that owns Kerr Automotive is a jewel in these days of lumps of coals! I recently took my vehicle to a major automotive repair shop. I guess they thought they saw a little ol lady they could really fleece. When I picked it up and it appeared to be doing some of the same things I had dropped it off for them to fix, AND they had billed me for fixing, I called around to try and find someone that would look at it and compare it to the bill. Kerr Automotive stepped right up! He not only told me what they didnt do that I was billed for, he showed my son how to tell in each instance.This location is very smart, knows about vehicles, and will do a very good job for you at a fair price!

Bryan and his team are very professional. I went there after being told I needed over $1000 worth work on my vehicle. I took it to Bryan and he diagnose the problem to a rear wheel bearing which he fixed that day for less than $200!

I had a major oil leak on my toyota camery that needed fix asap. I called around to different mechanics and got quotes that were pretry high . I read the reviews for Kurr and figured Id give them a call to see how much they would charge. I talked with Brian and he said he can do it for much less then what the other gus wanted plus he changed other oil seals that needed changed. I took my car to him and it hasnt leaked oil at all. I usually do my own work but didnt have time to pull the transmission to fix the main seal so I had to pay to have it done which made me uneasy because I didnt know a tested machanic, but now I do and will use them again. In my opinion they are the best in the Shawnee area.
