I was shopping for a pole saw and a couple other outdoor products. The employee (I wish I could remember his name) was extremely helpful. He made sure I was getting the best combination of materials for the best price. I was so thankful he treated with me respect and didnt act like any questions I was asking were dumb. I ended up saving a lot of money with the items we found. The employees near the self check out were very friendly as well.
They didnt have what we were looking for but the staff was friendly and helpful. I took a star off because the time before this that I had gone in, staff in the same department werent friendly or helpful at all. They literally ran the other way when they saw customers coming towards them. Im very happy not all of the staff is that way.
Absolutely the WORST experience Ive ever had with purchasing flooring and installation. Nobody can tell me when my products will be delivered or even who will be delivering the material. 2 times Ive had a truck randomly show up WITHOUT calling in advance and immediately leave before I could even open the door! Home depot told me that they dont know who they subcontract with and that they couldnt provide ANY information about the delivery or install! There is ZERO project management efforts from them and every time I call literally EVERY person Im transferred to tells me something different! Im fed up with Home Depot, I absolutely DO NOT recommend them for anything big or small and will take this issue all the way up to corporate in order to get my money back!

Connor in the paint department was extremely helpful. The paint we ordered online was too light and he helped us create a darker shade that ended up being the perfect color. Give Connor a raise!
A absolutely the top for customer service especially cashier Robert. The best. Found out where. When and how I could get pallets for my new design bed for free. Thank you to home depot and your great people at your establishment they were AWESOME
Not a fan of the layout, the signage isnt great, and forget about finding someone to help you in the aisles. Not the Home Depot it used to be.

Open for shopping. Curbside, in-store, or on-line order pickup at the Customer service desk.On-line service ordering works well. Just be careful if you are ordering stock lumber, whoever is picking out the pieces will not be as selective as you...the piece with the excessive knots, or slightly bowed may selected.Other than that no issues with service.
Had board cut and they were an inch off. Exchanged it and same person was going to cut it. I asked if he could get someone else and he said he would. However, just went to other aisle and did nothing. Found another person and asked them if they could get someone. Said they would but saw them talking to someone for 10 minutes. Finally nice man came along to help. He was older, hanicapped and had hard time walking but eager and friendly to help. Why couldnt the younger people I talked to who could run circles around this man help better? Only reason they dont get a 1 star is because of his help. Hire people that care.

Had a small compressor that did not work. Called Home Depot. They said bring it in. I did, they said it needed to be sent in for repairs.Three weeks later, they called an said your compressor is here.Got it home. Plugged it in, it works just like when I bought it. Great job. HD.

The management here is garbage. Wont take a returned deck board because it was special ordered. Nevermind the fact that they display samples of it in the store. Their own policy says its returnable with a 15% restocking fee but the manager denied the return for no good reason.Youve lost a customer.
Their staff has always been friendly, helpful, and greets you with human dignity that is simple, but should just be expected at any retail center. I have been shopping at this particular Home Depot for nearly 15 years. I have to say they do a nice job at keeping prices competitive. The only thing I have to complain about, their wood. Some times their wood is a little on the flaccid side. Like, when I hold wood I expect there to be a nice firm feel that demonstrates what I would expect; robust elongation that can be matched bar none. I have held lots of wood in my life and Home Depots wood falls short. I ordered lots of 2x4s and only a handful of them were straight. That being said, I would recommend spending some time sifting through all the wood they have to really find that nice straight, firm, hard wood you like. Keep up the great work Shakopee Home Depot.

Advanced cellphone data scrambling technology makes app unusable in store (nice to use to be able to find stuff) unless you use their terrible WiFi which doesn’t work either. Aisles are also full of displays and other junk. Shopping here normally frustrates me to the point of ruining my day.

HD is still the best of the big hardware stores. Their ability to provide you with good associate help leaves a lot to be desired, but its still better than everywhere else.
They are limiting the number of people in the store (COVID-19 policy). So get there EARLY or be prepared to stand in line. At this store, the entrance is the door closest to the garden center. Exits are near the registers (North end) and the garden center (South end). (I am not complaining about standing in line, just trying to help other people manage expectations).
Not one employee out of four knew what a deck screen was. Caught up with the two garden people standing around doing nothing. The girl gave me a dirty look and neither one of them helped me at all. I will never spend another $ here. Menards or Lowes from now on. Even Walmart has better customer service.
I was pleased with the stock, price and low mid day activity. A salesperson actually offered assistance without being asked!
Shakopee Home Depot is very messie compared to Chaska Home depot.
I went in to buy a lawn mower and have it delivered. Nobody came to help me. I went to the front desk they said they would call someone. The person came and was more interested in hanging out with his friends than helping. He told me to go to the pro shop. I stood there and nobody came. I asked a cashier and they said he went home for the day and I needed to go to the front desk. The front desk first said they would call someone to help me. Frustrated I said no. So she spent a half hour clicking the same screens over and over. She clearly had no idea. Frustrated I left. Having worked retail I try to be understanding but this was beyond unbelievable.

Had no luck finding what we needed. Should have asked but was never approached either. Called after and was told they did not have any of the items in stock despite website saying there were many brands with many items each available at the store. Had to place an order the next day and picked it up no problem. More trouble than it needed to be but not the stores fault entirely.

No more curbside pickup even though Minnesota is a hot spot for all 3 strains. I had to go to the returns customer service desk to pick up my items which is counter to the point of doing pickup in the first place. Im shopping at Menards and Lowes from now on...
It was one of the fastest trips in and out of the store.All items were in stock so we needed and the cash register is moving really fast there was no waiting around which I cant say is one of the irregular things that happens because its more common than not.
Bought a dryer on March 18, 2021. Was given a delivery date of April 6th. Got an email on April 5th noting delivery on the 6th between 7:00am and 11:00am. My wife got a call and voicemail same day confirming same delivery schedule.At 2:00pm on the 6th called the Home Depot delivery number. Seems that the dryer hadn’t made it on the delivery because it hadn’t arrived at their warehouse until noon on the 6th. No call from them, no apologies from them BUT they could schedule delivery for the 20th.Went to the Home Depot on the 7th. Btw, got an email that morning informing me that my delivery had been delayed until the 20th. Again no apology but it turns out it Home Depot sublets their delivery service so it wasn’t really their fault (insert sarcastic tone here). But they could give me $50 as a gesture.I requested a refund. Home Depot processed that right away for me. Now....today’s the 13th and the refund was processed on the 7th. I still haven’t seen the credit back to my credit card. I have made two visits to the store (I’m in the parking lot right now after my second) and the best they can offer is for me to call their financial Dept tomorrow.Conner and Nicholas are the Managers with whom I dealt.Done at Home Depot. Lowe’s is delivering a dryer.Update 4/14/21.....still no refund.Update 4/15/21.....spoke with Isabella at Home Depot’s major appliance “customer service”. Maytag has “accepted” my order cancellation (awfully nice of them, I don’t remember buying anything from them). Isabella informs me now that I should see my refund in 7 to 10 days. UNBELIEVABLE.Update 4/17/21..... Lowe’s delivered on time AS PROMISED......still no refund from Home Depot.Update 4/19/21.....still no refund.Update 4/20/21.....the refund is pending; nearly three weeks.....wow.
Wanted to buy a $2000 Andersen patio door but could not find qualified person. Asked for help and associate went to find someone but never came back. We left after 15 minutes of waiting. Will try lowes or menards or online.

Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional staff in the paint department, went way out of their way to help me to pick out primer and paint. Its my first time doing painting, honestly I was a little worried about not being abke to pick out the right stuff. They patiently explained all pros and cons of each product, steps of how to get it done right! Im pretty confident that I can get it done well! Anyone who have painting jobs on the agenda should go there! This is the Shakopee location! Just cant thank them enough!

The ideal place to go for reasonably priced home improvement projects. The staff is friendly and helpful. The layout of the store could use improvement.

I will never understand how I show up four hours after placing an order for pickup and it’s still “pending,” but when then I walk by the in-store pickup and there are four employees goofing off, I walk through the store and collect my entire online order, checkout, cancel my online order, and walk by the same four people goofing off in the in-store pickup area.Why were my items unable to be collected?I have to give it two stars because the young lady helping me with bathroom light fixtures was awesome!!

Not overly impressed with delivery service. Purchased snowblower and was to be an attended, signed delivery, with 1/2 hour notice call. Went out to pick up mail, and see snowthrower sitting outside by front door, within 3 feet of doorbell. No notice, no knock on door, no ringing doorbell, just drop and go.Only paperwork on snowblower was form I was to sign upon delivery. No owners manual! I called store to get manual and was told they get lost sometimes and to just go online and print one. Would have no problem doing that, but I didnt lose manual,,you did!
Pretty much as expected. I know this isnt a big market for them, but air compressor selection was lacking. More advertised than available.
This place wont follow state law, i got screamed at from a guy claiming to be a manager about my medical exemption and said there were no options but to wear a mask while he was not wearing a mask himself. They are hypocrites.

Today while shopping at my favorite store: I needed to create a latch system for a custom baby gate! I was only there for 10 minutes total. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Even the manager of the store stopped, greeted me with a big friendly smile and a hello before offering me some assistance. Nate was his name, really great customer service, he really got me out of the pickle I was in! Thanks to Nate and everyone at Shakopee Home Depot.
There’s maybe 1 or 2 helpful employees in the entire store, everyone else acts like your wasting their time and knows nothing about the products or lay out of the store. If you can go to ace hardware or any other hardware store do so and save yourself the headache.
Google Search results show the store having the item I needed. Then upon going to the store they dont have it( they dont even list the item number in there inventory). This has happened multiple times. The staff hides from customers, and if you do find one and ask a question they have no idea what they are talking about. Absolutely hate when I have to enter a Home Depot, worst service ever.

Ive been meaning to write a review of this place, because for the nine years Ive visited regularly, the staff has always been helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and able to talk me through whatever DIY mess Ive gotten myself into. Its like walking into an old-timey hardware store and talking to the owner. If I am trying to locate something, somebody almost always walks me right to it.Last weekend I needed to exchange a water heater under warranty, and I complicated things by ordering a new one online and picking it up before I brought the old one back. Rather than a simple exchange, it turned into a purchase then refund then exchange, with pricing conflicts and database weirdness, and barcodes that wouldnt scan, etc. It took some time to sort it out, and everyone involved was incredibly friendly and helpful (aside from an employee barging in and asserting that the value of the returned one should be depreciated. He was incorrect and a little bonkers, but didnt cause any harm and was kind of amusing LOL). The manager was kind enough to give me a discount on the new one, too, because I brought him pictures of a big dent that I found when I got it home. All in all just a great place to do business.Shout out to cashier Tina, who stuck with it and got everything figured out!

Will not shop here again. The customer service people as well at the manager was very rude. I went to pick up an item from a will call, but they argued that it was released and it was picked up. Why would I like lie that I did not pick it up?? They said I picked up but did not have proof that I picked it up. Someone in their team updated the system that I picked it, but did not confirm that I picked up. They were being very rude and forceful - insinuating that I am lying. Im very disappointed in their approach and disputing the charge and getting my money back.
Had new counter top and backsplash tile installed through Home depot. Backsplash edges were left unfinished and its been over two months now since Ive been trying to get someone to come back and correct the issue.I have called more than five times and they keep giving me the runaround.

Love this place. They are really competing with online shopping. Order online wait an hour and go to the store and pick it up or they will ship it to you in two days.Easy returns of something doesnt work out.
